The restaurant had a great feel, nice and social with a heady buzz of chat. Our waitress was great, very unorthodox but I liked that, advised us through the menu and steered us away from ordering too much! The majority of the dishes are big and so great to share a few different things. The star of the show was definitely the Coconut Sea Bass, melt in the mouth doesn't do it justice!!! Lovely meal, great wine, awesome evening with the Mrs!

I do enjoy coming here. Lovely food. Good service. It was a bit rushed doing a 3 course pretheatre. I think their lunch bento is better value. The mexican donuts are still one of my favourite desserts.

The venue looked okay. I went with my close friend . We couldn't find our waiter when we wanted him and ended up waiting at least 10mins each time when we wanted something. The Cuban BBQ is not BBQ chicken.! It's more like chicken teriyaki with a sweet sauce. The portion on rice should be abit more bigger. The calamari salad with cashew nuts (starter) & the king prawns (mains) was the only nice thing that tasted nice. As for cocktails they do a really nice mojito (original & mango). The mojitos was the only thing that was Cuban on the menu. We never stayed for desert because we didn't think it was worth it.

we were recommended Asia de Cuba to take our daughter for a special treat for her 20th birthday. we had the taster menu which was excellent included a glass of champagne. higly recommend the calamari salad - delicious The staff were very pleasant but they forgot about the birthday. I advised when I booked it and when i reconfirmed 24 hours prior to the day. When I pointed this out when they gave us the bill they were most apologetic and gave my daughter a bottle of champagne which was a lovely gesture but unfortunatley the occassion was mared by the lack of attention we expected for this occassion.

I went to Asia de Cuba for dinner with my husband, we already been in the NYC and LA locations. The dinner in London was perfect, high quality ingredients and exotic flavour (we had Cheviche mix, crab croquetas and bbq chicken with coconut rice, all exquisite!) The staff is very friendly and the drinks... Simply perfect! Relaxing interiors mainly white.

So we came here on a Thursday night for a dinner for two. The restaurant itself is quite hard to find as the St martins hotel does not have any signs at all but we were sat down professionally and also ordered. We ordered for the started the oxtail dumplings with kimichi and the jumbo seared scallops. For the scallops there were two scallops on the plate which was a litttle disappointing... they are meant to be jumbo which one was but erm I thought that it would be at least. Considering that dish cost over ten pounds as well. the dumplings were good but there was definitely no kimchi in the there. the mains were perfectly fine, the cuban chicken and seared tuna, tasty and good size portions. overall a good meal, service was fine.

We were given a voucher to use at Asia de Cuba, and I'd heard mixed reviews. The bento boxes are great value and the cocktails were fantastic. Unfortunately the food was not to my taste as I thought it lacked spice/flavour (but I love spice and different flavours) but if you like great fusion food - then this is for you! I woudl recommend the bento boxes and the mexican donuts were AMAZING. Yum - faultess service and fab cocktails and desserts, unfortuantely just not to my taste.

The decor holds up well despite being around for a few years now, nice space, and great for friends to meet up. The ribs aren't what they were but otherwise we loved the food, friendly helpful staff. Enough people to be buzzy but not too crowded that you couldn't hear yourselves speak. Still like it here.

From the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left the restaurant - the service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely helpful and friendly - nothing was too much to ask for. The food tasted good and was well presented but in our opinion was nothing special. Additional touches like complimentary champagne because it was my birthday was much appreciated.

The Location was a bit difficult to find, I passed the building twice. But overall the experience and the food were amazing. I brought my girlfriend before taking her to see Lion King The musical, everything was a surprise so she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The service was impeccable and everyone was cheery. The food was amazing! I had the 3 course for £27, noodle box, cuban chicken and Mexican doughnuts. Everything was perfect, even the little touch of adding a 'Happy Birthday message' on the dessert plate. Thank you very much, I hope to visit again very soon.

My partner and I dined here, pre-theatre, on Friday 22 August 2014. This is a restaurant with a difference. The décor is unusual - check out the rum punch warmers as you walk in. The seating could prove crowded on a busy night, it was not the night we visited. The food was original and wonderful and the service was excellent. Disappointing that the service charge that is added to the bill does not allegedly make it to the staff. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and the dining experience and, it was good value for the money.

We have wanted to visit this restaurant hidden away in an apparently anonymous hotel but the a la carte menu makes it one for special occasions only. However, the pre-theatre deal represents outstanding value and a chance to sample some astonishing flavour combinations with an exciting fusion of Far Eastern and Caribbean cuisine. We would love to explore the a la carte options but will definitely be back even if we don't win the lottery.

As ever the getting there is the real problem but once you arrive the experience is great. The service was great but a little too over the top when you have 3 different people come up to your table in the same short space of time to ask if everything it alright! It was! Food though is the event and it tastes as good as it looks. The only problem (if it can be descried as such) is that every dish that goes past you to another table looks so tempting you might over-indulge.

This was our first experience of fine dining, and Asia de Cuba did not disappoint! We went for the pre-theatre menu, and were expecting the portion sizes to be very much on the small side - we were delighted to be proved wrong! I enjoyed crab croquettas for my starter, Cuban BBQ chicken with sticky coconut rice for main, and donuts filled with butterscotch sauce for dessert (a very generous portion!). The afternoon tea sounds INCREDIBLE and has been added to my bucket list! Asia de Cuba is my new food heaven!

I took my friend here on her birthday for a pre-threatre meal. She's a semi-veggie who doesn't eat cheese so it was great to find somewhere suitable.. Service was great - I told the lady at front desk that it was my friend's birthday and they put a candle on her dessert and wrote "happy birthday" in chocolate sauce! The pre-theatre menu was delicious and good value for money. The only downside was the 15% service included in the bill which hiked up the total price a little bit. Also it's a tad difficult to fit 3 courses in before a show starts! It took me a while to find the entrance - the restaurant is inside a hotel which i hadn't realised when booking the table online. Overall a lovely restaurant - I would highly recommend!

The most irritating thing is the lack of signage- ok if the building is so special you can't put up a sign post then for goodness sake include clear directions on how to locate. Its called customer care. That said the staff were charming, attentive and helpful. The food was good but not thrilling Calamari crisp and well cooked but I was not a fan of the banana garnish although I could see it was there for balance it was a tad overpowering Tuna main course good but ordinary

We went on Saturday 9th Aug 2014 for my wife's birthday. We were shown to our table, beside a massive wall where the majority of the restaurant was open plan. Waiter was inattentive and we could not understand him very well. We are from Kent and in London for the weekend. We ordered the taster menu and asked for the sommelier. Half way during the meal we had to ask the sommelier to come over again. When he did, we more or less choose the wine ourselves. Food was very quick (not a good sign) and delivered by waiters with broken English in a rush. It was ok but nothing to write home about and not worth the money. All in all we paid £220 for two people for a very average dining experience. The food itself was ok but

I went here when It opened and have been over the years every couple of years, it's on the down hill slide. There's no waiting list on a sat nite anymore for a good reason, and the crowd has changed. The food which was hailed as the same menu inspired by sharing plates really has altered to more of a standard app and main type fare. It's not very good. The crab croquetta was over cooked and dark brown, the ceviche was pretty spineless in flavor although the octopus was okay, it wasn't special. The service was basically clumsy and the poor guy was overworked. As for the ambiance. It seriously looks tired. For a good reason. It was.
