Took my best friend and her sister for lunch. We were very well looked after with our waitress, Laura, sitting down and advising us about the menu , wine list and liqueurs - she really made our meal which was superb with a fantastic range of tastes. We will definitely be back.

Couldn't get a table before 21:15 although the restaurant was Half empty throughout. The starters were delicious. The sea bass and the cod were also fantastic. The rib eye beef was tasteless. Very slow service. One waiter was very attentive and friendly. The others were MIA. Ages to clear the table, neglected for long periods. Wine not served. One particularly rude waiter. Management absent! Tried to suggest we had more wine than we did. A night out with friends spoilt by poor attitude and no training. London has so much more to offer thank goodnes! So need to subject oneself to such a dive.

My partner and I chose Asia de Cuba as we both love different good and trying new things. We had also seen online that there was a pre theatre menu at a reasonable price which wAswas great as we were off to a gig later on and needed to eat early. We were not offered this menu upon arrival and had to ask for t to which we were greeted with what can only be described as an eye roll. We had a nice meal in a lovely setting but it wasn't particularly memorable. I certainly wouldn't hurry back. The thing that was most annoying is that the staff seem very "familiar" with each other....hugs, arms around each other and just generally messing around at the restaurant reception. To me this just seemed unprofessional. Overall decent but not special.

have been before - food and service good. very noisy on saturday night (to be expected). Our whole experience was marred by the inane and rude people on the call centre and the greeting staff at the restaurant... "you must be there at 8.15 ... we will not hold the table more than 15 minutes..." we called to day we were in bad traffic.." its ok but you only have a 2 hour slot and we need the table back..." on arrival: " you are late...we have released your table... wait here...(we will find you a table in the corner by the toilets as punishment)"..... not very nice welcome! compensated by a various pleasant waitress named AGA. - they did not demand the table back and there were plenty of empty tables throughout the restaurant.

Came here for a pre theatre meal. We chose the 3 course meal. the restaurant is bright and roomy. Decor was nice. We were greeted by very friendly staff and the waiter was also very friendly and attentive. After choosing our meal from the menu we were not kept waiting and were in and out within an hour. Would definitely come back as the food was the best we have had in a long time.

Had a pre theatre dinner for four, loved it, great tasting food. Combination of two and three course specials with one ceviche dish, perfect variety of tastes, we all enjoyed the different dishes washed down with a very reasonable saugvinon blanc. The restaurant was a bit difficult to fine as it's inside the hotel off St Martin's Lane.

Had a mostly lovely meal at Asia de Cuba. Not quite convinced about the banana in the calamari salad but otherwise it was great. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. However one waiter was a terse and rudely took payment from another table despite the fact that I had requested the bill first, provided payment first and had said we were going on to the theatre.

The restaurant had a great feel, nice and social with a heady buzz of chat. Our waitress was great, very unorthodox but I liked that, advised us through the menu and steered us away from ordering too much! The majority of the dishes are big and so great to share a few different things. The star of the show was definitely the Coconut Sea Bass, melt in the mouth doesn't do it justice!!! Lovely meal, great wine, awesome evening with the Mrs!

Lovely food but the service was patchy. The waiter gave us great advice on portion sizes and dishes but was not always very attentive leaving us without drinks and waiting for dessert. Great, unusual decor. Overall a fun experience and delicious meal, but we should have been better looked after for what it cost. Also they did not explain whether or not they were offering the £55 tasting menu + champagne. As the acoustics were so terrible it was too difficult to ask. In the end we were charged £55 but had not been offered the champagne.

We went to Asia de Cuba for a pre theatre meal. As with any pre theatre menu, the choices were limited however 4 choices per course was more than generous and provided enough variety to please everyone. Starter of tuna tartare was delicious, as were the courses that followed and reasonably priced at £27 for 3 courses. Atmostphere and decor was lovely and staff made an effort to compliment patrons. The female staff were admittedly better at this than the male ones. The only downside for us was the astronomical price of alcohol. At an average of £8 per glass of wine and cheapest bottle at £35 it whacks a heafty additional charge to your bill. Making it a once every so often treat rather than a regular pre theatre option.

The venue looked okay. I went with my close friend . We couldn't find our waiter when we wanted him and ended up waiting at least 10mins each time when we wanted something. The Cuban BBQ is not BBQ chicken.! It's more like chicken teriyaki with a sweet sauce. The portion on rice should be abit more bigger. The calamari salad with cashew nuts (starter) & the king prawns (mains) was the only nice thing that tasted nice. As for cocktails they do a really nice mojito (original & mango). The mojitos was the only thing that was Cuban on the menu. We never stayed for desert because we didn't think it was worth it.

we were recommended Asia de Cuba to take our daughter for a special treat for her 20th birthday. we had the taster menu which was excellent included a glass of champagne. higly recommend the calamari salad - delicious The staff were very pleasant but they forgot about the birthday. I advised when I booked it and when i reconfirmed 24 hours prior to the day. When I pointed this out when they gave us the bill they were most apologetic and gave my daughter a bottle of champagne which was a lovely gesture but unfortunatley the occassion was mared by the lack of attention we expected for this occassion.

So we came here on a Thursday night for a dinner for two. The restaurant itself is quite hard to find as the St martins hotel does not have any signs at all but we were sat down professionally and also ordered. We ordered for the started the oxtail dumplings with kimichi and the jumbo seared scallops. For the scallops there were two scallops on the plate which was a litttle disappointing... they are meant to be jumbo which one was but erm I thought that it would be at least. Considering that dish cost over ten pounds as well. the dumplings were good but there was definitely no kimchi in the there. the mains were perfectly fine, the cuban chicken and seared tuna, tasty and good size portions. overall a good meal, service was fine.

We were given a voucher to use at Asia de Cuba, and I'd heard mixed reviews. The bento boxes are great value and the cocktails were fantastic. Unfortunately the food was not to my taste as I thought it lacked spice/flavour (but I love spice and different flavours) but if you like great fusion food - then this is for you! I woudl recommend the bento boxes and the mexican donuts were AMAZING. Yum - faultess service and fab cocktails and desserts, unfortuantely just not to my taste.

The Location was a bit difficult to find, I passed the building twice. But overall the experience and the food were amazing. I brought my girlfriend before taking her to see Lion King The musical, everything was a surprise so she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The service was impeccable and everyone was cheery. The food was amazing! I had the 3 course for £27, noodle box, cuban chicken and Mexican doughnuts. Everything was perfect, even the little touch of adding a 'Happy Birthday message' on the dessert plate. Thank you very much, I hope to visit again very soon.

My partner and I dined here, pre-theatre, on Friday 22 August 2014. This is a restaurant with a difference. The décor is unusual - check out the rum punch warmers as you walk in. The seating could prove crowded on a busy night, it was not the night we visited. The food was original and wonderful and the service was excellent. Disappointing that the service charge that is added to the bill does not allegedly make it to the staff. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and the dining experience and, it was good value for the money.

We have wanted to visit this restaurant hidden away in an apparently anonymous hotel but the a la carte menu makes it one for special occasions only. However, the pre-theatre deal represents outstanding value and a chance to sample some astonishing flavour combinations with an exciting fusion of Far Eastern and Caribbean cuisine. We would love to explore the a la carte options but will definitely be back even if we don't win the lottery.
