A word from Asia de Cuba - London
Asia de Cuba combines elements of Asian and Cuban cuisine served sharing-style in a high energy, sophisticated, yet relaxed environment. Located on St. Martins Lane, Asia de Cuba is a one-of-a-kind space centered around a series of majestic "art columns", each displaying a different and stunning composition. The Asia de Cuba concept also includes the famous Rum Bar; it has the largest selection of "sipping" rums available in London, as well as unusual and intriguing selection of specialty cocktails, many of which are Asia de Cuba signatures.

We are proud to announce the introduction of a brand new experiential afternoon tea which will send guests into the mystique and ambiance of a Cuban teahouse. The tea will be served in bespoke crockery inspired by Cuban culture and unconventional design.

Diner Reviews
  • "Disappointing. Very expensive although servings were quite generous. Puddings not good and not interesting. Service - nothing special and we had to wait a while to have one course cleared away, and had to ask for it to be taken away (and the restaurant wasn't full). The bill included a 15% service charge and then we were asked to add a gratuity as well! Not sure I'd go back."

  • "The portions over the years have been reduced. The prices are the same. Good variety in the menu. The Chicken and Gambas mains are very good. Wine list if also good. Lot of young smart people in the crowd. Very noisy and be prepared to shout to the people at your table to he heard. Quiets down a wee bit of post theatre. Good location. Excellent service."

  • "Love Asia to Cuba been many times great food & service will be back again"

  • "My husband and I came here for our 3 year wedding anniversary, we chose from the pre-theatre menu which had a small but varied selection. Food was really good, fresh ingredients and an unusual combination of flavours. We would definitely come here again. The Merlot was inexpensive and very good. The waitress was very attentive and even arranged a special dessert for our celebration"

  • "The food at Asia da Cuba makes a welcome change from the standard fare at other restaurants, and the service was excellent. It's pre-theatre menu is slightly more expensive than that of other restaurants in the same area."
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "the waitress was too pushy in suggesting what to order"

  • "I'd heard alot of great things about this restaurant and it certainly didn't disappoint. Great culinary imagination and realised to near perfection."
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "We went for the pre theatre dinner. Didn't feel rushed or quick. Service was excellent and took time to go through menu and wine list with us. Food was first class and beautifully presented."

  • "Booked this for my bday meal, on a hot night it was lovely and cool and the ambiance was calm and inviting although you are in a hotel restaurant so the clientele was mixed-families with young children, people on dates, bigger business groups. Service was good, very attentive. Cocktails were amazing, beautiful and worth the price. Starters were fantastic-we had two different kinds of ceviche and the squid which was so good we contemplated ordering a second portion. Unfortunately the mains were just so so (Cuban chicken and seared tuna) and at approx £20-£25 this was a disappointment. Coconut invasion was to die for but too much even for two big eaters to share! £150 for 2 of us with only 2 alcoholic drinks makes for an expensive night out."
    dined on 17/07/2014
  • "Good fast service. Some of the dishes are very small and therefore the set £22 menu for 2 courses is not very good value. However very convenient for pre theatre and nice atmosphere."
    dined on 17/07/2014
  • "Asia de Cuba is a really good restaurant with value for money, I've been here so many times and continue to come back. The service is impeccable. The food great, I'll recommend the Cuban chicken and the Sea Bass yum"
    dined on 16/07/2014
  • "Had the taster menu. Quality of the food was average, not nasty but certainly nothing special. the BBQ chicken was OK - but tbh wasn't much nicer than an M&S BBQ chicken. The crab croquettes tasted like fish cakes - again nothing special. The venue is nice, the service was great and the wine was good, but not for foodies I'm afraid."

  • "been here several times before, set meal is excellent value and great quality and was perfect venue for a first date. great selection of wines for all and several well priced. highly recommended. male toilets are a bit weird and disorientating inside but otherwise excellent service and venue."
    dined on 15/07/2014
  • "We went here for lunch, and only had a sandwich. But what a sandwich. My wife had the lobster, and I had the pulled pork, and both were delicious. I look forward to going back again for dinner. It was a bit tricky to find (look for the building with the yellow glass), but once we were in, the decor is amazing, and the ambience is really relaxed. Definitely worth a repeat visit."

  • "Took my partner here having read the positive reviews about this place. The decor is very contemporary, the ambient music played really sets the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable meal. The servers are very friendly and attentive. They gave good recommendations. The portion sizes were perfect and the food quality Is 5 star. I definitely will will Be returning"

  • "This is one of my favourite places. The bento box is outstanding value and the mexican donuts are still to die for. Food here can be a bit hit and miss so the bento box is a nice way to hedge my bets! The ambience is lovely and quirky which makes this place a bit special so it is lovely coming here for a treat or an occasion. Drinks are really overpriced but service was wonderful."

  • "Great food, lively, friendly service, food served appropriately quickly for a pre-theatre dinner. Top notch."

  • "Me and my partner went to Asia de Cuba for a pre theatre meal. We had the 2 course meal which was only £22 each. It was very good value but as expected as it was a la carte style, expect smaller portions. Even though the meals were smaller the food was delicious!! We shared the noodle box and calarmari for starters and then I had the cuban chicken (amazing) and my partner had the tuna (really tasty) for our mains. We also ordered a glass of champagne each (£14.50 per glass). Our waitress was called Laura and I have to say,I have never haf such fantastic service in a restaurant before. She was so friendly, caring and polite and had only been there a week. She even gave us a free sharing cocktail for our engagment that day. 100% recommended!"
    dined on 12/07/2014
  • "Had the pre-theatre menu which was notionally good value at £22 for two courses. The starter (calamari and salad) was no frills but generous and tasty. The main courses - BBQ chicken with sticky rice and tuna with wasabi mash were both delicious. Only quibble was the drinks were quite expensive £7.50 for the house wine and the "optional" service charge of 15% turned a meal from being potentially outstanding to only reasonable value."
    dined on 10/07/2014
  • "It has been a truly delightful experience. A very exciting menu that may seem to be expensive at first sight but compared to the portions and the taste it is well worth it. Staff is very friendly and genuine without over doing it."
    dined on 09/07/2014
  • "Had possibly too high expectations after all those very highly rated reviews and an enhanced curiosity of booking this place. Possibly a bad match as we could have done with something more intimate and less "hotel lobby style". Food was good overall. chicken from tasting menu amazing. very few side dishes that came with it which seemed odd. Waitors were very attentive - maybe a little too much in their liberty to refill our champagne bottles without checking with us first - we ended up with 4 champagne bottles between 6 people - not something we usually do on top of cocktails ...please check before you simply refill. Good venue to impress someone / have a business meal. Sleek and anonymous enough."

  • "Lovely food for my friend's surprise meal. Would be great if the brought back the complimentary mojito!"

  • "We had the tasting menu and it was amazing, everything tasted great. Great service too, overall highly recommend this restaurant !"
    dined on 07/07/2014
  • "surprisingly good food, after 14 years I was expecting it to be a bit tired but still great. The service was the best I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere, shame that waitress is leaving! Other staff were great though too. Sunday lunch and we were the only people there which is daft as it is better than 90% of restaurants in London."
    dined on 06/07/2014
  • "So took a good client of mine for lunch, and food was ok , welcome was ok ,but service all over the place- waiter couldn't wait to take my plate away even though my client was still eating- other waiter asked my client if she wanted coffee, she said no, as I was about to say "but I'd like a latte"- he just walked off- I was laughing out of shock- just blanked! Not the nice relaxed experience I have had before, when I have eaten there several times and with some big parties, so this lot have had a lot of money off of me in the past, but not anymore! Will not return, Roka etc way better!"
    dined on 03/07/2014
  • "I have had several good meals here in the past, but this most recent visit was really disappointing. My fellow diner and I both found the food quite poor, so much so that I returned my main course and was served with an alternative, which was equally poor. Service initially seemed quite good but they seemed to lose interest in us after a short while - it was quite a struggle to get someone's attention so that we could pay the bill."
    dined on 02/07/2014
  • "I'd always been intrigued by the décor here and wasn't disappointed. The restaurant is light and airy and filled with framed photography, books, pot plants and bric-a-brac neatly arranged around giant columns. The hotel and restaurant itself were like being in an art gallery. The food was well presented, tasty and filling - we had the pre-theatre menu and, with wine and service charge, it came to £70 for 2, which was pretty reasonable!"
    dined on 01/07/2014
  • "Even though we'd booked the pre-theatre menu, the waitress gave us the a la carte menu so we had to specifically ask for this. I don't appreciate that type of attitude in a restaurant although the other waiters during the evening were very polite & helpful. The food was OK but not great. I had crab croquetas for starters which were quite bland. The Cuban chicken for main was quite nice. I've been to Asia de Cuba once many years ago and had an amazing meal. This did not compare. It was of acceptable standard but not a great showcase for what I believe their main menu is like."
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "An excellent meal which we both really enjoyed. We both had the taster menu which really was outstanding. Only minor negative was the 15% service added to the bill by default but this did not affect our enjoyable evening."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "I have been here a few times now and every time the food has been excellent although the portions do seem to be getting a little smaller! The service we received on this visit was fantastic. Will visit again and again."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "The entrance is grand, the facilities are top-notch, the dining area is massive. Very relaxed atmosphere making for an agreeable dinner date. Food excellent, service attentive and friendly. Interesting decor, low lighting features but also background lighting perfect, not gloomy - rather sparkling. Unhurried, but I was also not in a hurry to pay the very large bill, wow! prices to match the occasion. My visits will only be very occasional."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "I have dined here several times and it never disappoints. Great pre-theatre dinner options (2 courses for £22). Great food, service and ambience. Would recommend and will be returning."
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "I sent a group of 10 there they we extreamly pleased and thought it was fantasic!"
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "We had a tasting menu with lots of different courses to share between 12 of us. The quality of the food was fantastic and the waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone to experience. The only improvement would be to put the restaurant name somewhere visible as it's not very obvious where it is within the hotel."
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "We went to Asia de Cuba before going to the theatre. Our friends had never been before and were very impressed with the ambiance, service and food, which was delicious as always. They are able to easily accommodate pre-theatre bookings, as they are very fast and efficient. I had the calamari salad which was huge and unusual with palm hearts, cashews, etc. The beef was tender and delicious and the coconut dessert was also very good. We will be back again, that's for sure!"
    dined on 24/06/2014
  • "My 6th visit, and not the best. Bento box poor value and tasteless"
    dined on 23/06/2014
  • "Great food, great service, great ambience... Unjustifiably expensive. Beware going for cocktails in the adjacent hotel bar after your meal, they were a disaster - no where near the standard of the cocktails in the restaurant."
    dined on 21/06/2014
  • "Asia de Cuba seems to have fallen out of fashion. It was easy to get a table on a Friday night, so I wasn't too sure what to expect after five years since my last visit. But we were delighted. This was an outing with our daughter and her boyfriend to celebrate her getting her degree, and a perfect choice for a special occasion. We went with the menu suggestions from our server. Maybe wished we'd had a little less to leave room for puddings. Service was attentive, even down to our glasses of tap water being readily replenished before request. Little things like that make a difference. There were plenty of people for a buzzy atmosphere but still able to have conversation. Definitely recommend."
    dined on 20/06/2014
  • "Hidden is the key word here and as one other review has mentioned this place is not so easy to find if you're not sure where you are - coming down from Leicester Square its on the left behind a yellowish glass fronted build which is in fact a hotel. I thought the service was brilliant - the young people seemed genuine and interested in helping you. All the food was delicious but oddly portioned - what I mean by that is my started the squid had loads of very well cooked squid and a lovely quite large and unusual salad, my husbands crab cakes were quite small and had just a few bits of noodle underneath, same kind of thing with mains Care service charge was included at 15% which I don't mind if the staff get it as they deserved it"

  • "Good value tasty food. Not so beautiful to looking at but very enjoyable with good service."
