A word from Asia de Cuba - London
Asia de Cuba combines elements of Asian and Cuban cuisine served sharing-style in a high energy, sophisticated, yet relaxed environment. Located on St. Martins Lane, Asia de Cuba is a one-of-a-kind space centered around a series of majestic "art columns", each displaying a different and stunning composition. The Asia de Cuba concept also includes the famous Rum Bar; it has the largest selection of "sipping" rums available in London, as well as unusual and intriguing selection of specialty cocktails, many of which are Asia de Cuba signatures.

We are proud to announce the introduction of a brand new experiential afternoon tea which will send guests into the mystique and ambiance of a Cuban teahouse. The tea will be served in bespoke crockery inspired by Cuban culture and unconventional design.

Diner Reviews
  • "Standard of food was excellent, and also very different to the normal range served up by restaurants of a specific food type. Service also excellent along with a modern ambiance. A great start to an evening out"
    dined on 23/08/2014
  • "From the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left the restaurant - the service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely helpful and friendly - nothing was too much to ask for. The food tasted good and was well presented but in our opinion was nothing special. Additional touches like complimentary champagne because it was my birthday was much appreciated."

  • "The food was very mixed. Two out of four dishes really terrible. Much higher cost than other pre theater menus and definitely not worth it. Wait person was very nice but not very knowledgeable of their food and beverages at all."

  • "My partner and I dined here, pre-theatre, on Friday 22 August 2014. This is a restaurant with a difference. The décor is unusual - check out the rum punch warmers as you walk in. The seating could prove crowded on a busy night, it was not the night we visited. The food was original and wonderful and the service was excellent. Disappointing that the service charge that is added to the bill does not allegedly make it to the staff. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and the dining experience and, it was good value for the money."

  • "We were greeted and served by exceptionally friendly and helpful staff just as the early evening trade was picking up. Food was everything promised and more. Dishes were well proportioned and exceptionally tasty. Its definitely a restaurant that we will come back to...hopefully soon. I'd love to try the full menu options. First class!"

  • "We have wanted to visit this restaurant hidden away in an apparently anonymous hotel but the a la carte menu makes it one for special occasions only. However, the pre-theatre deal represents outstanding value and a chance to sample some astonishing flavour combinations with an exciting fusion of Far Eastern and Caribbean cuisine. We would love to explore the a la carte options but will definitely be back even if we don't win the lottery."

  • "As ever the getting there is the real problem but once you arrive the experience is great. The service was great but a little too over the top when you have 3 different people come up to your table in the same short space of time to ask if everything it alright! It was! Food though is the event and it tastes as good as it looks. The only problem (if it can be descried as such) is that every dish that goes past you to another table looks so tempting you might over-indulge."
    dined on 20/08/2014
  • "This was our first experience of fine dining, and Asia de Cuba did not disappoint! We went for the pre-theatre menu, and were expecting the portion sizes to be very much on the small side - we were delighted to be proved wrong! I enjoyed crab croquettas for my starter, Cuban BBQ chicken with sticky coconut rice for main, and donuts filled with butterscotch sauce for dessert (a very generous portion!). The afternoon tea sounds INCREDIBLE and has been added to my bucket list! Asia de Cuba is my new food heaven!"

  • "This is always my preferred venue if going to the theatre in this area-lovely fusion asian food, very good value set menu, good service and very comfortable."

  • "The Food was great and it arrived quickly. Service was great, and staff were friendly. Lovely meal to have before seeing a play!"
    dined on 19/08/2014
  • "We had dinner at this charmingly difficult place to find. Once we got in, the food was good and the staff very friendly. The unusual combination of flavours was palatable and enticing. Much enjoyment was had at Asia de Cuba."
    dined on 19/08/2014
  • "I think we found the food choice to be a little limited as a pre-theatre menu...food was fine without being special - nice place - service good but we had to chase bill...reasonable value at £35-40per head incl wine."
    dined on 19/08/2014
  • "I took my friend here on her birthday for a pre-threatre meal. She's a semi-veggie who doesn't eat cheese so it was great to find somewhere suitable.. Service was great - I told the lady at front desk that it was my friend's birthday and they put a candle on her dessert and wrote "happy birthday" in chocolate sauce! The pre-theatre menu was delicious and good value for money. The only downside was the 15% service included in the bill which hiked up the total price a little bit. Also it's a tad difficult to fit 3 courses in before a show starts! It took me a while to find the entrance - the restaurant is inside a hotel which i hadn't realised when booking the table online. Overall a lovely restaurant - I would highly recommend!"

  • "Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Great experience."
    dined on 16/08/2014
  • "The most irritating thing is the lack of signage- ok if the building is so special you can't put up a sign post then for goodness sake include clear directions on how to locate. Its called customer care. That said the staff were charming, attentive and helpful. The food was good but not thrilling Calamari crisp and well cooked but I was not a fan of the banana garnish although I could see it was there for balance it was a tad overpowering Tuna main course good but ordinary"
    dined on 16/08/2014
  • "Great service - we had a wonderfully smiley and attentive waitress - and tasty food made this another lovely experience. Our one hour business lunch quickly became three hours. Would recommend."
    dined on 14/08/2014
  • "The food was beautifully presented but serving size was very small except for the desserts which were huge. Found this slightly bizarre. Restaurant not that easy to find as it is within a hotel which has no sign except for 2 trees outside the door."
    dined on 11/08/2014
  • "We went on Saturday 9th Aug 2014 for my wife's birthday. We were shown to our table, beside a massive wall where the majority of the restaurant was open plan. Waiter was inattentive and we could not understand him very well. We are from Kent and in London for the weekend. We ordered the taster menu and asked for the sommelier. Half way during the meal we had to ask the sommelier to come over again. When he did, we more or less choose the wine ourselves. Food was very quick (not a good sign) and delivered by waiters with broken English in a rush. It was ok but nothing to write home about and not worth the money. All in all we paid £220 for two people for a very average dining experience. The food itself was ok but"

  • "First visit and have been wanting to go for some time, was not disappointed! Th place itself is very nice, decor, lighting, atmosphere really nice and the good was outstanding. Mojito's were great but leathal :-). I would recommend this place over many other I have been to."
    dined on 09/08/2014
  • "I went here when It opened and have been over the years every couple of years, it's on the down hill slide. There's no waiting list on a sat nite anymore for a good reason, and the crowd has changed. The food which was hailed as the same menu inspired by sharing plates really has altered to more of a standard app and main type fare. It's not very good. The crab croquetta was over cooked and dark brown, the ceviche was pretty spineless in flavor although the octopus was okay, it wasn't special. The service was basically clumsy and the poor guy was overworked. As for the ambiance. It seriously looks tired. For a good reason. It was."
    dined on 09/08/2014
  • "We had the tating menu with champagne. After second of several courses and champagne were finished, ordered a bottle of wine. Waiter went missing for 45 minutes. With great effort flagged him down and dinenr resumed, but this really shouldn't happen...."
    dined on 08/08/2014
  • "Cool place. Tasty food but bit expensive for portions. Delicious wine at decent value. Good experience but wouldn't rush back."
    dined on 08/08/2014
  • "We had to pre-theatre menu. The only downside is the portion size and vegetarian options - unfortunately it did not fill my husband up and he was still hungry after the meal."
    dined on 08/08/2014
  • "Friendly staff, quick service for pre theatre dinner. We shared starters and mains which was just as well as one of the starters and one of the mains were small portioned. All the food tastes delicious though....particularly the calamari starter and the tuna carpaccio. Unusually for us we had dessert because we were understandably still hungry and they were also very fine. Would recommend and would go again. One criticism.....I find adding 15% service on the bill and then suggesting we might like to add another tip very annoying. I'm perfectly happy to give a tip.....and always do but would rather it went to the waiter and didn't make us look mean for not adding extra when we've already paid the 15%."
    dined on 08/08/2014
  • "Asia de Cuba is always a special dining experience - great atmosphere amazing location and wonderfully original cuisine. Waitress a lovely lady from Latvia was very helpful in explaining and recommending dishes. Can't wait to go back"
    dined on 07/08/2014
  • "We went last week for the pre theatre deal, service was amazing. For a starter we had the calamari salad which was quite disappointing. However the seared tuna for my main course was delicious. As I said friendly, speedy service. Probably I wouldn't go pre theatre again after the wine value wasn't that good and I know it was early but no atmosphere."
    dined on 07/08/2014
  • "Excellent. Just excellent. Perfect combination of beautiful food and atmosphere. I don't write reviews."
    dined on 06/08/2014
  • "Our waitress was called Nadia and she was a fantastic waitress. We were all very impressed with the service she provided and we would love to revisit."
    dined on 06/08/2014
  • "Food and service are excellent! Nice wine list too. Decor is miser and interesting. The challenge is that neither me or my date could find a sign for the place or a street number."
    dined on 06/08/2014
  • "Great pre-dinner menu. Service was great and waiter considerate to theatre start times. My partner and I shared starters and mains, enjoying every mouthful!"
    dined on 02/08/2014
  • "We had a fantastic meal at Asia de Cuba. Food was delicious and portion sizes were generous. Particulary recommend the Mexican doughnuts for dessert- yum!"
    dined on 01/08/2014
  • "We found Asia de Cuba by accident when going to the theatre and Googled places to eat nearby. At St Martins Lane we couldn't find it, walked up and down 3 times. The local newsagent said "It in the block". That block looked like an office but no names! Spoke to a six foot 3 "guard" in a black, "Certainly sir, and he open the door into this office block. It was the St Martins Hotel and Asia de Cuba was a restaurant on the ground floor left. Staggering, everything about it was a joy. Excellent food, very interesting choices, impeccable . Been back recently for lunch, just as wonderful. One of the its charms is it is "a best kept secret" and now I may have let the gourmet cat out of the bag. Thank you, all of you at Asia de Cuba"
    dined on 01/08/2014
  • "Disappointing. Very expensive although servings were quite generous. Puddings not good and not interesting. Service - nothing special and we had to wait a while to have one course cleared away, and had to ask for it to be taken away (and the restaurant wasn't full). The bill included a 15% service charge and then we were asked to add a gratuity as well! Not sure I'd go back."
    dined on 30/07/2014
  • "Booked the pre-theatre menu for Wednesday and although it was very quiet when we arrived, the place did start to fill up as time went on. The staff were accommodating and friends, although at times difficult to catch their eye. The food was delicious and there was a good choice (usually set menus can be lacking in diversity), the portion sizes were a little meek especially for the cost but the food itself was delicious, well cooked and presented beautifully. Will definitely go again when there is a deal on."
    dined on 30/07/2014
  • "The portions over the years have been reduced. The prices are the same. Good variety in the menu. The Chicken and Gambas mains are very good. Wine list if also good. Lot of young smart people in the crowd. Very noisy and be prepared to shout to the people at your table to he heard. Quiets down a wee bit of post theatre. Good location. Excellent service."
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "Good food, and a good ambeience, but a little on the expensive side"
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "Love Asia to Cuba been many times great food & service will be back again"
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "My husband and I came here for our 3 year wedding anniversary, we chose from the pre-theatre menu which had a small but varied selection. Food was really good, fresh ingredients and an unusual combination of flavours. We would definitely come here again. The Merlot was inexpensive and very good. The waitress was very attentive and even arranged a special dessert for our celebration"
    dined on 23/07/2014
  • "The food at Asia da Cuba makes a welcome change from the standard fare at other restaurants, and the service was excellent. It's pre-theatre menu is slightly more expensive than that of other restaurants in the same area."
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "the waitress was too pushy in suggesting what to order"
