A word from Asia de Cuba - London
Asia de Cuba combines elements of Asian and Cuban cuisine served sharing-style in a high energy, sophisticated, yet relaxed environment. Located on St. Martins Lane, Asia de Cuba is a one-of-a-kind space centered around a series of majestic "art columns", each displaying a different and stunning composition. The Asia de Cuba concept also includes the famous Rum Bar; it has the largest selection of "sipping" rums available in London, as well as unusual and intriguing selection of specialty cocktails, many of which are Asia de Cuba signatures.

We are proud to announce the introduction of a brand new experiential afternoon tea which will send guests into the mystique and ambiance of a Cuban teahouse. The tea will be served in bespoke crockery inspired by Cuban culture and unconventional design.

Diner Reviews
  • "It has been a truly delightful experience. A very exciting menu that may seem to be expensive at first sight but compared to the portions and the taste it is well worth it. Staff is very friendly and genuine without over doing it."

  • "Lovely food for my friend's surprise meal. Would be great if the brought back the complimentary mojito!"

  • "We had the tasting menu and it was amazing, everything tasted great. Great service too, overall highly recommend this restaurant !"

  • "surprisingly good food, after 14 years I was expecting it to be a bit tired but still great. The service was the best I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere, shame that waitress is leaving! Other staff were great though too. Sunday lunch and we were the only people there which is daft as it is better than 90% of restaurants in London."
    dined on 06/07/2014
  • "I have been here a few times now and every time the food has been excellent although the portions do seem to be getting a little smaller! The service we received on this visit was fantastic. Will visit again and again."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "So took a good client of mine for lunch, and food was ok , welcome was ok ,but service all over the place- waiter couldn't wait to take my plate away even though my client was still eating- other waiter asked my client if she wanted coffee, she said no, as I was about to say "but I'd like a latte"- he just walked off- I was laughing out of shock- just blanked! Not the nice relaxed experience I have had before, when I have eaten there several times and with some big parties, so this lot have had a lot of money off of me in the past, but not anymore! Will not return, Roka etc way better!"
    dined on 03/07/2014
  • "I have had several good meals here in the past, but this most recent visit was really disappointing. My fellow diner and I both found the food quite poor, so much so that I returned my main course and was served with an alternative, which was equally poor. Service initially seemed quite good but they seemed to lose interest in us after a short while - it was quite a struggle to get someone's attention so that we could pay the bill."

  • "Good food.. Will recoomend.Dealt with food allergies OK."
    dined on 10/05/2014
  • "Even though we'd booked the pre-theatre menu, the waitress gave us the a la carte menu so we had to specifically ask for this. I don't appreciate that type of attitude in a restaurant although the other waiters during the evening were very polite & helpful. The food was OK but not great. I had crab croquetas for starters which were quite bland. The Cuban chicken for main was quite nice. I've been to Asia de Cuba once many years ago and had an amazing meal. This did not compare. It was of acceptable standard but not a great showcase for what I believe their main menu is like."
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "An excellent meal which we both really enjoyed. We both had the taster menu which really was outstanding. Only minor negative was the 15% service added to the bill by default but this did not affect our enjoyable evening."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "I have dined here several times and it never disappoints. Great pre-theatre dinner options (2 courses for £22). Great food, service and ambience. Would recommend and will be returning."
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "Been here many many times and although the service wasn't quite up to its normal standard, the food as ever was wonderful. Highly recommended especially the lobster mash...."
    dined on 03/06/2014
  • "The entrance is grand, the facilities are top-notch, the dining area is massive. Very relaxed atmosphere making for an agreeable dinner date. Food excellent, service attentive and friendly. Interesting decor, low lighting features but also background lighting perfect, not gloomy - rather sparkling. Unhurried, but I was also not in a hurry to pay the very large bill, wow! prices to match the occasion. My visits will only be very occasional."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "We had a tasting menu with lots of different courses to share between 12 of us. The quality of the food was fantastic and the waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone to experience. The only improvement would be to put the restaurant name somewhere visible as it's not very obvious where it is within the hotel."
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "I sent a group of 10 there they we extreamly pleased and thought it was fantasic!"
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "We went to Asia de Cuba before going to the theatre. Our friends had never been before and were very impressed with the ambiance, service and food, which was delicious as always. They are able to easily accommodate pre-theatre bookings, as they are very fast and efficient. I had the calamari salad which was huge and unusual with palm hearts, cashews, etc. The beef was tender and delicious and the coconut dessert was also very good. We will be back again, that's for sure!"

  • "had a lovely meal the food and service were spot on as were the doughnuts mmmmmm"
    dined on 03/05/2014
  • "My 6th visit, and not the best. Bento box poor value and tasteless"
    dined on 23/06/2014
  • "Great food, great service, great ambience... Unjustifiably expensive. Beware going for cocktails in the adjacent hotel bar after your meal, they were a disaster - no where near the standard of the cocktails in the restaurant."
    dined on 21/06/2014
  • "Perfect setting in the heart of London's theatreland, but great for business lunch, dinner or drinks too. Stunning decor and amazing cocktails - "The Flipping Egg cocktail" is a must try! Food and service superb. A firm favorite for Clarity Creative international clients when in London (and for the Directors too!) Asia de Cuba, always a winner! Saleha Williams"

  • "Good value tasty food. Not so beautiful to looking at but very enjoyable with good service."
    dined on 20/06/2014
  • "Hidden is the key word here and as one other review has mentioned this place is not so easy to find if you're not sure where you are - coming down from Leicester Square its on the left behind a yellowish glass fronted build which is in fact a hotel. I thought the service was brilliant - the young people seemed genuine and interested in helping you. All the food was delicious but oddly portioned - what I mean by that is my started the squid had loads of very well cooked squid and a lovely quite large and unusual salad, my husbands crab cakes were quite small and had just a few bits of noodle underneath, same kind of thing with mains Care service charge was included at 15% which I don't mind if the staff get it as they deserved it"

  • "Asia de Cuba seems to have fallen out of fashion. It was easy to get a table on a Friday night, so I wasn't too sure what to expect after five years since my last visit. But we were delighted. This was an outing with our daughter and her boyfriend to celebrate her getting her degree, and a perfect choice for a special occasion. We went with the menu suggestions from our server. Maybe wished we'd had a little less to leave room for puddings. Service was attentive, even down to our glasses of tap water being readily replenished before request. Little things like that make a difference. There were plenty of people for a buzzy atmosphere but still able to have conversation. Definitely recommend."

  • "This place is so cool it could be intimidating for some. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Refined dishes, well presented and more generous portions than I expected for a Latino Asian Fusion place. The service was unobtrusive and surprisingly good. Delicious BBQ chicken and steak main courses were a highlight. Very glad I wasn't paying full price for this food though... go for the pre/post theatre menu for value."
    dined on 19/06/2014
  • "Great food, good atmosphere and service, but 15% service charge is over the top"
    dined on 17/06/2014
  • "I had read the other reviews and was expecting small portions, so when the waiter suggested that we order 2 dishes to share between 3 I was slighty confused. And the waiter was right - the portions were generous. It was a very enjoyable evening, good food and good service. My friend raved about the food, I enjoyed it but i was not blown away as she suggested. The only problem i had was finding the restaurant, all in all - excellent evening."
    dined on 17/06/2014
  • "Had pre theatre meal - 3 courses for £27 + 15% service. Choice of 3-4 per course. Lovely starter of tuna and husband had calamari. Desserts quite heavy and rich so couldn't finish mine. We were seated on slightly upper level and air con bit fierce. Also table in corner being used for business - 2 people on laptops and at times playing things which could be heard over restaurant's 'muzak'. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Would recommend and return as enjoyed meal. We arrived early as hate rushing food and through in good time before start of play."
    dined on 16/06/2014
  • "Have eaten at Asia de Cuba a number of times and have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience so wanted to share with my family on the special occasion of my fathers 80th birthday and it certainly didn't disappoint! We had the taster menu and upgraded with the appetiser course and the whole of our party were thoroughly impressed with the quality and variety of all the courses although the Cuban BBQ chicken was definately a firm favourite! The staff were excellent and made a great fuss of the birthday 'boy' and the personalised dessert course went down a storm. A bit pricey although well worth it for a special occasion. A big thank you to all the staff for a fabulous evening."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "Went here for the 1st time on sat evening. Food was outstanding and very tasty, The young Lithuanian girl who served us was very knowledgeable about the dishes and very humourous, we appreciated the fact that she told us that the portions were large and to cut down to 2 starters and a shared main with a side which was perfect, where as normally we have ordered more which made the food, although it seemed pricy at first, better value. Would definitely recommend."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "Once you find the restaurant inside the completely anonymous hotel, it's very stylish, cool and pleasant. Early on a Saturday evening, the staff to customers ratio is a bit intimidating, but individually they were very nice, obliging and polite. The pre-theatre menu (available until 6.30pm) is excellent value and the food was first class. The portions were just right for a 3 course dinner."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "Expensive for what it was. At that price there are a dozen better places to go, each dish was ~£30. Drinks were nice though but also expensive at ~£15 each. Food was decent but not amazing, service was decent too. I didn't really feel like I was having 'an experience' - more like, just out for a meal. Disappointed."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "We ordered the 3 course pre theatre set menu. The food was delicious but the portions were quite small. Lots of waiting staff however they seemed to be more interested in chatting to each other rather than serving the guests"
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "The food is fabulous and the flavours are immense, we had a brilliant evening and will definitely will be returning. "
    dined on 07/06/2014
  • "Must see and taste! Outstanding ambience and delicious food. Food is different, spieces amasing. Good price for that special experience. Will come again for sure!"
    dined on 05/06/2014
  • "We went there for the 3rd time with my parents as they love this place, food is from another world I love the mix they make with ingredients, sweet and savery and so refined . I left a message on the booking as it was my dad's bday and Nadia the lovely waitress brought us a cake with candles and 3 complimentary champagne flutes! So thougfull ! Thanks for making it so special for us. See you again soon!!"
    dined on 05/06/2014
  • "This was my second visit to Asia de Cuba London and it was just as good as the first time (1 year ago). The atmosphere was vibrant, the service was friend, and the food was superb. It may be a bit on the pricey side, but for special occasions, it is definitely well worth the money. I can't wait to go back! "
    dined on 05/06/2014
  • "If you like good, interesting and beautifully presented food you'll love it. The staff make you feel special and the restaurent itself has a very welcoming feel to it. We went to Light Bar in the hotel first, great cocktails and a good prelim before the main event. If you like good restaurents and love good food give it a try, it's worth it!"
    dined on 06/06/2014
  • "Fantastic Service, good food - We were running late for theatre, and the service was sped up as soon as we informed the restaurant we were running late. Fantastic experience, good food."
    dined on 06/06/2014
  • "good food, alot of food and pricing amazing.. cocktails however a little pricey in comparison to payment for the pre-theatre menu"
    dined on 30/05/2014
  • "Visited with two friends who had not been before. Had visited myself recently so was disappointed to see the set menu had not changed. We settled for two courses which although good were not outstanding. We all enjoyed our starters but I ended up eating exactly what I had eaten at my previous visit. My chicken main dish was ample but my friends tuna main was very small and frankly boring. Well situated for the theatre but will not probably not visit again as there are so many other good value restaurants around. Staff attentive and friendly. The bar adjacent to the restaurant has a wonderful drinks menu but it's a shame that you have to settle your bill prior to going into the restaurant. "
