  • "Was very quiet so no atmosphere but am sure there would be if it was busier. It is a very pretty restaurant, very nicely done. Service was good but incredibly slow, despite being so empty. We had been warned of this by numerous people and it was so true, we had previously had coffee/drinks here and that was also very slow. The food was delicious though."

  • "A compelling ambience, especially so at a table by the window Very effective and able but by no means intrusive service Cracking menu. Even the crudites to share starter were that bit special"

  • "The Aubaine Mayfair is a perfect for sanctuary for lunch or early supper. The atmosphere is stylish but calm and the service is attentive. The food is excellent and well balanced for all tastes. Take your partner or business colleagues; you will not be disappointed."

  • "Overall a good experience for our sons birthday brunch - our Eggs Royale and Eggs Florentine were just perfect, and the waiter brought us whole meal fresh bread on the house. The outside seats were comfortable for this quietish road in Mayfair."

  • " Second time have been to Aubaine with a client....Second time it seems to take an age to get served or have an attentive waiter. In fairness they looked rushed off their feet but that unfortunately creates a distinctly average service. Had to ask 3 times for an orange juice and it must of been about 5-10mins between each time! The food is good, not much better. The fry up doesn’t specify the sausage in there, I think its a Toulouse sausage...would prefer a different option as its not what id classify a 'fry up' sausage and dislike the taste. Dissapointed with menu choices for what should be a 'classic' french restuarant. Ie maybe serve french toast?!"

  • "In a sea of expensive restaurants, this is a good mid-price restaurant with something for everyone on the menu. Tables are quite close together, but service is quick"

  • "We went for breakfast and the quality of food and service did not disappoint. Great location too"

  • "Came for the £16.50 deal,2 courses and a glass of house wine.Lovely starter of goats cheese and beetroot,my husband had the duck.We both had spring vegetable spaghetti as main which was very good. We were eating early as we were going to the theatre so didn't want a massive meal so this was perfect and great value.May have been a bit light if you were very hungry.Great service and ambience"

  • "Great place for a breakfast meeting, busy but not hectic and great service. Definitely keen to try Aubaine out in the evening."

  • "The service in Aubain Mayfair is very attentve without being overbearing. Other than that there isn't much going for this place. I found the food fair to average. The beef fillet burger would have been easily bested by the offerings of Byron or Five Guys, and the lobster spaghetti, which my girlfriend ordered, materialised far too quickly to be considered fresh and did not live up to its price tag. I generally found the drinks overpriced, with a gin and tonic weighing it at just over a tenner and a 330ml botte of (quite average) cider listed at £6. So much more could be done here, just being situated in a trendy part of town isn't enough anymore - the food has to measure up as well."

  • "I went to Aubaine Mayfair for Sunday Brunch, when we went it was very quiet, but the restaurant is well decorated and the atmosphere was friendly. The service was very good and everyone was attentive. Unfortunately, I did not try anything exciting, but had the omelette with smoked salmon. Nothing special but what can one expect. Overall, somewhere I would go back if I was not feeling inspired and just wanted somewhere to go when I have ran out of ideas."

  • "we went for the £12.50 brunch menu. It was delicious (not massive in portion) but totally yummy in every way. The restaurant is beautiful."

  • "waiter was charming and helpful. We had the " Late Lunch" offer. Food was well presented and tasted great. Portions not large but good value , especially considering we were dining in Mayfair."

  • "A good mid-priced restaurant in a sea of Michelin stars. No surprises on the menu, but good value and friendly service."
    dined on 09/06/2014
  • "We ordered drinks....cranberry juice with a slice of fresh lime (2 ingredients...we got 1) My guest and I both ordered Goat's cheese salad but received goats cheese tarts which had to go back. Our salads eventually arrived with microscopic amounts of goat's cheese on top of the smallest slithers of toast. Considering the only other ingredients were lettuce, red onion and grapes, my guest and I were both still starving at the end of the meal. The service was disorganised and chaotic and no-one seemed to know what table they were serving. We kept getting asked the same questions by different waiters. To charge those prices...the service needs to be so much better. Very disappointed and embarrassed as I took a client there for lunch."

  • "with lovely authentic french bread and also french breakfast tea...all good... service was a little slow and we had to ask for the bill three times."

  • "There was a hair in my cheesecake. The waitress was not apologetic but almost angry. Really bad attitude. Food was pretty poor as well."

  • "Very good food and value for money service a little slow but really nice venue "

  • "A nice set menu of tasty dishes full of flavour. Loved the decor and setting modern with homely and organic touch. Would like to try the afternoon tea as it's perfect setting to have a cake and glass of bubbles! "

  • "This was my second visit to Aubaine Mayfair. Starter (squid) not brilliant (overcooked & rubbery). However, the main course (cod) was really excellent - thoroughly enjoyable. The restaurant itself is very pleasant and the service good; attentive without being overbearing. By West End standards, it's pretty good value for money. Would I go back a third time ? Absolutely, but I'd choose a different starter next time..."

  • "It was not as upmarket as I imagined it to be but that turned out in its favour, the staff were attentive really good, the food was excellent, the service was a bit slow but that didnt matter because the friendliness of the staff outweighed any delay. The manager was absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble. Our guests were really late but it wasnt a problem and they were happy to wait and for us to stay as long as wanted. Great decor, good atmosphere and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone as a great relaxed place to eat and enjoy."

  • "We spent at the Aubaine Mayfair. This was our second visit and the food was again delicious, really lovely. We had the Mozzarella (unusual with avocado) and Goat cheese salad for a starter, followed by the seabass and cheese board to finish a delightful meal. The service was lovely and discreet, we were seated at the window and our overall experience was again outstanding. We are looking forward to coming back to the Aubaine soon. "

  • "Carpaccio had been kept in the fridge and the meat tasted of " the fridge". Very pushy and not very nice service. The macaroon also came from the fridge. I will not choose to go to Aubaine again"
    dined on 13/05/2014
  • "I went for dinner on a Saturday evening and whilst the food was nice the restaurant was very quiet and as a result didn't have much atmosphere. I think that Aubaine would be much better for lunches and/or evenings during the week."
    dined on 10/05/2014
  • "It took the waitress 3 attempts to get our drinks order right. The food was of an average standard, but arrived cold. Service was very slow."

  • "The food was nice and well seasoned. Good vegetarian options, I had a nice asparagus soup followed by veg gnocchi which was very nice - over all satisfied however I am curious regarding the dessert as we didn't stay for that cause ewe moved on to somewhere else. The restaurant, which is the Mayfair branch is nicely decorated - very french! as expected! and with that kind of clientele (the Mayfair kind!). The service was very good and attentive to your needs."

  • "My first visit to this restaurant. I booked for a business lunch. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food excellent."

  • "Lovely food and atmosphere v quiet for a Saturday "
    dined on 26/04/2014
  • "I like this restaurant, it's a high end chain with beautiful furnishings and the 2 courses for £16.50 incl glass of wine is good value. I went with a group of friends and we had a nice time...unfortunately half the people on the tables food was cold when it arrived and the wine was corked 3 times (not their fault really but still not a good impression especially when half the meals had to be taken away to be reheated) Overall it's good value, food is nice and good for price but few things letting it down. "

  • "I was planning to have the fixed price menu, but when I got there discovered it is only from 5pm for a couple of hours so need to check the fine print. So we had main courses which worked out quite well. The food is good and the service ok. I'd go again, but will check the fine print more carefully."

  • "Always a good idea. Always good food. Always happy!"
    dined on 21/04/2014
  • "I chose this restaurant due to its proximity to Green Park. The TT offer of £16:50 for 2 courses inc a glass of wine was good value, although the portions are small. The service was good. The bar was quite nice to start our evening having a glass of champagne. Definately would go back if in the area."
    dined on 17/04/2014
  • "Our party of 6 got the large table at the back of the restaurant - it was quiet and cozy and we didn't have to shout to hear each other. Great bonus! We had an attentive waitress who was quick to respond to requests. 2 Course + Wine deal was good value - limited options (no dessert on the set menu) but good quality food. Everything is well presented. They allowed some of our guests to order from the set menu, while some ordered a la carte. Good for catchups, and quiet dinners in a romantic and classy candlelit setting. Everyone enjoyed their meals/desserts/wine and there were rave reviews all around. Thanks Aubaine!"
    dined on 17/04/2014
  • "The set menu was a little disappointing. We all found the steak rather chewy and tasteless. Everything else was nice. Not a late night spot. From 10pm onwards it got rather quiet- at 10.45pm we were the last to leave."
    dined on 14/04/2014
  • "We dined for the first time at the Aubaine Mayfair and were pleasantly surprised about the size, décor and the cosiness of the restaurant. We booked with the toptable 2 courses offer but quickly changed to the main menue although the choices give were really nice. We started with Roquefort Salad,Figs, pear and walnuts and the salmon which was very delicious and continued to the fish of the day ... all very lovely presented, and very good, a small fish portion though but with the side dishes and the desert that was just a perfect meal for a dinner. We will definitely return to the restaurant again - hopefully soon. "
    dined on 12/04/2014
  • "the place is very nice with romantic decor-the flower, candle etc, great place for a date or girls night out, we picked from the set menu, the portion is quite small and I think they can do better with the taste and presentation as well, maybe if I order from the a la carte menu it will be better, service is good. will give it another try next time."
    dined on 11/04/2014
  • "I keep meaning to try other restaurants but keep coming back to Aubaine for simply a good meal & dining experience."
    dined on 11/04/2014
  • "It is a lovely space and boasts a great bustling ambiance though that is where the positives cease. The brunch menu was very basic and when our choices eventually came were of frighteningly average quality, poorly presented and luke warm. The comedy Basil Fawlty style service was the most memorable aspect of the experience. It took 10 mins for anyone to offer us anything to drink, a further 15 mins for my black coffee to arrive and then after much confusion regarding our seemingly simple bloody mary order - which resulted in another table being given our drinks - another 20 mins for some to finally arrive at our table. This will now be bottom of my list for brunch places in London to visit. Please, please avoid."
