  • "A nice restaurant, the service and food are both good."

  • "Nothing *wrong* with bamboo basket, just food lacks taste and expect to pay £20 per head"

  • "Great food but was empty on a sunday - we were only one of two tables in there! Closed at 3pm so you have to be mindful of this...."

  • "The Bamboo Basket is expensive and the meals are of a small portion."

  • "The Bamboo Basket in Westminster provided us with a very appetising lunch. Unfortunately at 2.00 p.m. on a weekday afternoon the restaurant was deserted. Not their fault but it did affect the atmosphere."

  • "The Bamboo Basket provided excellent food but at a cost and with very pedestrian service. This was a shame the dishes (for a group of 10) came separately and over a quarter of an hour period for each course. When it came the food was excellent but was more expensive than we were expecting which was embarrassing as I was not paying."

  • "Front of the house needs to be nicer - it feels like they are not keen to get customers through the door!. Also the portion sizes are variable from one time to the following!"

  • "Bamboo Basket Central London, a little hard to find but glad we did - lovely meal, reasonably priced, good service altogether a very pleasant night"

  • "A friend and I went to Bamboo Basket in Monck Street, London for lunch. We started with Dimsum, which was delicious. Then we each had a rice and meat course. The restaurant was not very busy, the service was very good and fast. It was relaxing and a good place to meet to catch up on news."

  • "This restaurant has now changed its name to Blue Bamboo. We had a great dinner here, the food was amazing as usual - much nicer than your average Chinese restaurant! Try the dim sum basket and the sweet and sour King Prawns - FANTASTIC! Note also, you get 25% off dinner (excluding Dim Sum), which is a nice bonus, although I don't know why they don't just make the menu 25% cheaper. I would not recommend desert here as it is overpriced - around £8.50. Overall - a great place!!"

  • "An early dinner before a concert. We were the only ones in there - perhaps it was too early, or just a part of town where people don't go out for dinner. The food was wonderful though, best chinese I've had in a while, and we got a mid-week discount, which was a nice surprise!"

  • "The food here is really good - try the lamb shank with Red Curry sauce, it is amazing! The service was fast, but it was too fast. The waitress cleared our plates before the whole table had finished eating which I thought was a bit rude. Although the food is good, I think it is too expensive for what it is."

  • "Went to Made in China with a friend, were happy with the 50% offer and the atmosphere but the beef dish we ordered was not good quality, the meat is tough and vegetable stringy."

  • "Great place and good location. Dim sum was fantastic!"

  • "Made in China is consistently of a high standard - food, service and ambience yet again all very good indeed."

  • "Wasnt very busy when we visited so was a quiet and laid back experience. The food was cooked very well although the noodle dishes were a little plain."

  • "Partner and I went for dinner. As we arrived the waitress flagged for us to sit anywhere. Our waitress seemed uninterested. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was tasteless and watery. It was replaced and tasted a little better. Rest of the meal was OK."
    dined on 14/08/2011
  • "Very nice plance, excellent environment and the food was delicious and definitively worth it for the price we pay. The only issue, is that since we were a big group the food took ages to arrive and some of us had already finished when others were just starting. But the staff were very friendly... Will definitively recommend it, if going in a big group, set a menu in advance!"

  • "Excellent again. Food and service at Made in China is first class."

  • "I've been to Made in China a number of times, its a solid and reasonably good value experience if you're in the area. Prompt and efficient service."

  • "Lovely team lunch, good food and local for us. very much enjoyed"

  • "I have been to Made in China before, but only every for dinner, which is excellent and I would thoroughly recommend it. This time I went for lunch, the menu was very simple with not much choice and I felt the waiters were not paying much attention to us. We had to call for them whenever we wanted to make an order and when they were closing up I felt we were very much being pushed out. So maybe it's not the best place to go for lunch but the quality of the food is excellent so go for dinner."
