Went to the restaurant as it was my boyfriends birthday. This was our second visit to the restaurant. We had a lovely evening and when I booked Via Top Table requested a table so that we had a good view of the Thames. The request was fulfilled. We went on a Monday night so the restaurant was not to busy. The table was perfect and we were well looked after. The food was delicious. The menu has a varied choice so their are many dishes to choose from and that is one of the reasons I enjoy going to this restaurant. Will definitely go again. Its my favourite restaurant. It's nice to know that you do not have trek all the way to the West End or the City to have a wonderful meal.

The view makes up for the fact we had to travel a fair distant to get to the restaurent, but totally woryj it. Blown away by the extensive menu, chinese, thai, indian, steak its all on there. Also a great bar. Definatly on the books if you fancy somewhere a little informal and a good atmosphere.

The restaurant is definitely not a five star service, the food was just okay and I felt the staff lacked attention to detail we had to keep trying to get their attention everytime we needed to request a service which I feel should not be the case at a hotel which is rated five star. I think the food is very expensive for both how it tasted and the portion size even with the 50% discount we received I still don't think it was worth it. This restaurant has a lot of potential but I believe big improvements need to be made. Nice view of the Thames too but again not amazing.

We have been here before and Banyan on Thames didn't fail to disappoint. This time it was a group booking of 8 for a Graduation celebration. They easily accommodated us, the service was exceptional and the food tasted as good before (would heavily recommend the Mongolian Warriors Lamb)! Overall, would strongly recommend Banyan on Thames, hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Food was excellent would definitely go back. We sat outside for dinner whilst the sun set. However they could have made alot more money out of people if they had gone round the tables asking people if they wanted drinks, noone asked us if we wanted a drink once and we had to wait a while for our tables to be cleared.

It was a very hot day in London when we arrived at the Banyan for an early evening meal. We were offered a choice of seating and sat outside overlooking the Thames. This was lovely. Due to the weather we did not want a heavy meal. I chose the salad starter and we both had the lamb with rice. The salad was not very interesting and the lamb not too inspiring - maybe we chose badly. Worth a visit for the view though.

This restaurant has a lovely setting with nice river views. The menu is an interesting one with a range of Asian/fusion food options that hold much promise. However, the food is average not special and does not live up to the anticipation that the setting / menu generates. A reasonable option at the discounted price but there are better alternatives at the full price.

Having booked the chocoholics high tea for a friends birthday I was a little disappointed when we were sat at our table (we arrived early so had a drink at the bar first) and left for nearly 20 minutes despite asking for a wine menu no one came to take our order or brought our tea, we had to ask on several occasions for the various parts of our meal as well as to be moved due to helicopters taking off next to us sat by an open door. Our waiter was very nice and according to his badge he was a trainee but he was obviously very nervous, confused and had seemingly no supervision. We also did not receive everything specified on the high tea menu (the cocktail) but I cannot fault the standard of the food and the wine was reasonably priced.

We've eaten at this restaurant several times and always enjoyed it. The menu has lots of different options and most of the dishes are based on traditional dishes (Indian, Thai, Mexican etc.) but have an original mark. The ambience is very nice, with great views over the Thames. When the weather is nice it's possible to eat outside, which is lovely. table service is quick and friendly (though improvements could be made in welcoming guests when they arrive...)

Absolutely loved my experience at banyan on thames, lovely food and beautiful views of the river! Our waiter was so lovely seated us immediately and allowed us time to talk and browse the menu before he took our order, he was very polite and talked us through the 50% deals. Even though some of the things we wanted were unavailable he politely apologised and offered the next best thing! Honestly loved my experience i stayed chatting for 4 hours! And i did not feel that i was being rushed or pestered by the staff! (to the waiter who served me Thankyou for your amazing service! I wanted to tip you but could not find you and did not know your name! :( Definitely will be coming back! ) 😁😁😁

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely meal overlooking the Thames as the sun went down. Excellent service and lovely food, very impressed. The 50% discount on the food (if you have two courses) is really needed in order not to make the menu prohibitively expensive for many but the discount was given without any fuss and indeed was actively promoted by the staff which was refreshing. We had a lovely evening and thank you for everyone at the restaurant for making it so special.

There's nothing particularly bad about this restaurant but equally there's nothing that great about it either! Unfortunately the view is probably the best feature of this restaurant. The food was ok, but only ok & glad we didn't pay the full price! It has a large menu so plenty to choose from but of the 4 different dishes we had, none tasted that special. The ambiance was pretty poor with the music stopping every so often when the album ran out. Service was ok but nothing special either. We were also disappointed when they started setting up next to us the breakfast table for the following mornings hotel guests.

This was our 4th visit to Banyan.Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our visit this time around. The restaurant wasn't overly busy yet service was slow & poor. Our waiter could barely understand us and knew nothing about the menu. We weren't offered water or bread, having to request these. I'd requested a view of the heliport for my 3 year - old niece we were shown to the furthest table from the heliport. This was aknowledge but we were settled by then. My satay was bland and the chicken rated as though it had been cooked from frozen. My duck main was over cooked and my Panacota came without the doughnuts and without explanation of their absence. Won't be rushing back not even with 50% off

We booked our second visit to the Banyan as we had such a lovely experience on our first visit earlier in the year. However, on this visit, we felt that the quality of the food had been somewhat compromised. It was no way near as good as it was previously. We ordered the homemade "chocolate brownie" for dessert - when it was delivered it was two small pieces of their definition of "brownie" and some ice cream. In fact, the brownie looked like eggy bread that had been soaked in chocolate - it was soft and somewhat tasteless. The chocolate sauce was solidly stuck to the plate too. We complained and the waitress offered another dessert but we chose not to get that as we didn't want food wasted. Overall food not as good as before.

The Banyan on the Thames was the 3rd time I have had a meal there, and I can never remember what I eat previously, I think they change the menu every year or something. We had a good time, there was quite a few people dinning and they provided the starter within about 20 minutes after taking our order. The main followered shortly after and the yummy dessert did not take no time to arrive on our table. I just love this restuarant, I would recommend it time and time again. Ab Fab 5star.

We were informed that the chef was Asian so it was disappointing to receive starters that were quite bland. The satay chicken came with a sweet and sour chilli dipping sauce as opposed to the traditional peanut sauce. However after requesting more spices for the main courses, the food was a lot better. Sadly, I would not say the quality of the food equated to value for money even with the Toptable offer. However the staff were accommodating, polite and attentive and the restaurant is in a wonderful location, so we viewed several helicopters arriving and leaving the nearby helipad.

Took my wife to dinner. We sat by the window and the view was lovely and the ambiance of the restaurant great. The food was exceptional value for money with the 50% off deal from TopTable and was very good - we enjoyed both starters and mains immensely. Perhaps slightly too much salt in the mains, however we cook with very little to no salt so perhaps we're just not used to a "normal" level of salt. Highly recommended.

Exciting menu, and exquisite food. The most succulent and delicately-flavoured biryani imaginable, and a big thank you to the chef. Would love to enjoy those again. We went early, which meant quiet and privacy. If you want a buzz, then dinner at 8 is probably the answer. Downsides - easily fixed and the restaurant manager should attend to these. The place was very chilly until I asked for some warmth. And the service was sloppy and inattentive. On a nice summer's evening the setting would be delightful. So recommended with those caveats. Had I paid full price I would have been annoyed.
