  • "Huge portion sizes, and much better VFM than its closest rival Jordan's! Plus more options :-) definitely going back"

  • "having been to london a few times & always dining at the same place,I thought we would try somewhere new. On arrival it didn't look anything special but once you walk up the entrance ramp it really came to life. The price for food was completely worth it once it arrived at your table as the portion sizes were massive. Super quick service for a packed out Saturday evening also with lovely staff. the only downside is that a lot of the 2 seat tables are far too close together for my liking & it was really uncomfortable at first being so close to others. Apart from that one flaw, this place is absolutely amazing & I will be returning again."

  • "The lady at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and we were taken to our table within seconds. Too crowded for my taste with no space in between the tables. Felt as if I was dining with another 20 people. We decided on the menu to order only to be approached by the waiter to let us know that there will be no more food served as there had been an incident in the kitchen and that it wasn't the first time. We were given the option to go to Fulham or rebook for another day. So much for a compensation. All in all, I wasn't able to celebrate my birthday and to leave myself and my boyfriend starving looking around covent garden to find a decent place to have dinner..."

  • "So my boyfriend had planned to take me for my birthday to Big Easy last Saturday. 10 minutes of arriving, the waiter comes by to our area and tells us that they have had to close the restaurants due to exhaust issues in the kitchen. 'how long will it take to get fixed?' we asked, we won't know until the engineer gets here. 'how long will it take for the engineer to get here?' we don't know, hes on his way. Frank and quite rude. So my boyfriend and I sat there umming and ahhing thinking what else we coudl go. And he didn't have a back up plan considering he had booked weeks in advance just for that Saturday. To say the least, my boyfriend or I haven't recevied an apology or an email as of yet."

  • "We were told they had to evacuate the restaurant as there was a problem with the kitchens. We were told we could wait a while as we were eating our main course. Other people who had not received food were asked to leave immediately, as some people were finishing their starters they were given the bill then asked to leave. We were then approached and told we had to leave immediately as the restaurant would be filled with carbon monoxide within 10 mins, we had not finished our meal but was asked to pay for what we had eaten!!!! We were in disbelief that we had been left to "finish our meal" just so they could charge us. We left Without paying."

  • "Had a great time, been here loads of times now, only drawback is every time we go we never get margarita's included on our bill with the lobster fest and either have to ask for a frozen margarita each, or when the bill comes its added on rather than included in the price advertised, please sort the staff and the place will be perfect!!!"

  • "Loud, brash American bar/restaurant. If you go there with this attitude then you could enjoy it, I didn't. I went for the pulled pork which was a disappointment. The reserved table was half an hour late at least, the bar staff ignored me despite not being busy and then served my prosecco in a fat ugly wine glass without an apology because they had run out of glasses. There rudeness set my mood for the night and nothing managed to turn it around I'm afraid."

  • "I went to the big easy as I love BBQ god and this restaurant claims that it is it's speciality.. I was left hugely disappointed. The ribs weren't even marinated I could make them better myself and they were burnt the pulled pork was full of fat, the chicken had just been topped with BBQ sauce something which actually tastes better in the harvester! And the chips were bathed in salt! Overall - too expensive and would prefer to eat elsewhere. Where is the famous lobster tank with over 2000 love lobsters? Not there! Tables too close together like your sitting with the people beside you!"

  • "The big easy covent garden has the friendliest waiter staff, coupled with fantastic food. We really recommend the lobster and cocktail deal as it's great value and so delicious. We have been 3 times and never been disappointed with the service, food or ambience. My husband and I highly recommend it to anyone!"

  • "We had such a great night here on thursday. Great expansion of the kings road theme with more food and drinks options, more space and great staff. Everything was brilliant and at the end of the night we thought that the bill felt cheap! Great value and a really fun night out whether it is a special occasion or not"

  • "Great food, good value. Found basement sitting area too dark and noisy, that's without the live performance."

  • "My boyfriend and I visited here one night after work and had a lovely meal. Although a little pricey, the food lives up to it and is well worth it. Big Easy is such a popular hot spot that we booked well in advace so that we could get a time that we wanted. It is a real lively up beat place and the staff are welcoming and full of life. Although it is very busy and upbeat, if you want a quiet relaxed place ot have a chat, this isnt the place. Big Easy has a buzzy atmosphere and is full of beans.... where we will be going back to visit again."

  • "There are two Big Easys in London, one in Chelsea and this one in Covent Garden, right in the centre of tourist nosh corridor. And that's why you should head straight for Chelsea - which feels like a real Southern BBQ dive. Access to the Covent Garden site is down a long, dark, ghost train tunnel. Spooky and fun for kids. Inside it's a vast industrial scene packed with tourists and kids, no bad thing but conversation is nigh on impossible. Service staff in our dark corner were all Eastern European. In marked contrast to Chelsea they knew nothing about the food, lacked any wit or verve and seemed to spend most of their time arguing with one another. The food in both places is very good and well priced. But for fun go to Chelsea."

  • "I booked a table for 3 at 8:15pm. Didnt not ge seated until almost half 9. We order the food and it came in about 10 mins but the lobster wasn't fresh. It was very disappointed as I take my cousin who came from abroad which is find it very disappointing."

  • "Delicious food and great fun. The portion sizes were huge which makes this very good value"

  • "My husband and I booked the big easy crab shack for our wedding anniversary. We made sure and booked in advance, because we had attempted to go there before and wasn't able to get a table without waiting for sometime. I particularly asked when booking that we place on a quiet table or somewhere with more privacy but that did not happen. We sat next to couples with hardly any personal space which was uncomfortable at time, especially eating what we are. Apart from that, the service was great and the food was delicious. But I would recommend you go for the set dishes as they are a little cheaper."

  • "We recently went to Big Easy for lunch. The lunch menu had a diverse range of options and was at great value at £9.95 for two course including a drink. We throughly enjoyed our meal, portions sizes were generous and food was very tasty indeed."

  • "Big Easy never fails to provide the best of all things with good service and excellent food. The ambience is an added benefit. Will be back."

  • "Had a decent meal here, not as good as their Kings Road branch. Less choice on the menu and service was pretty cold. Plus tables aren't very well laid out so I had to put up with waiters barging my chair throughout the evening. Food was very tasty and there's a nice atmosphere, but I would probably choose the Kings Road branch next time"

  • "We had the pre theatre menu, great value and food! The service was excellent too-would definitely recommend!"

  • "First time ever eating at Big Easy and I loved everything about it. The food was amazing and was very reasonably priced. Cocktails and wifi topped everything off. Will definitely be back, can't believe I haven't been here before!"

  • "Great place to go for dinner with big helpings . Not child friendly unfortunately. And tables are placed too close together . Pulled pork and the beans were lovely."
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "Great concept and the decor is perfect for the theme but the food doesn't live up to the billing. Everything is a little bit bland. The main issue is the tables which are only a few inches apart, they have absolutely crammed in as many tables as possible which doesn't really add to the ambience. Serving staff were really nice but not sure that I'd go there again."
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "I took my mum there for her birthday on a Monday. We ordered the Big Pig Gig and the waiter told us we wouldn't leave hungry. Trust me we didn't! Very friendly service and excellent food. I would definitely recommend going there. I'd advise you to book a table in advance as the place fills up fast. Prime location and right by Covent Garden market. A really good evening."

  • "Nice food, very tasty, good portion of food..;had the spicy Crabshack Combo and my friend had the Pit-Smoked Bar.B.Q Chicken...both were excellent, nice atmosphere, great cocktails (had the strawberry daiquiri ...delicious!!!!)"

  • "This is a busy restaurant and you're sitting far too close to the other diners. They had no chicken wings and various other choices were unavailable. The food was average, not a patch on other places and expensive. The waitress was polite and efficient."
    dined on 20/07/2014
  • "Dined on a Sunday evening at 8.30pm (July, 2014). Chicken wings were all sold out (we could have been told before deciding to order!). Pick'n'lick shrimp in hot sauce was a very solid average. Hush Puppies were quite nice. Mains: lobster bake which, the last time I went, was better - a bit of inconsistency then. We were also told they had sold out of muscles but had them in the dish anyway?! Lobster Fest (£20) was underwhelming. The garlic butter it came with was nice though. The surf'n'turf was pretty good - nice steak, well seasoned. We also had the ribs - again, they were better the last time I ate them. The waitress was a bit annoying and a bit slow. Food was very average + went cold v quickly. Not going again for a long time."

  • "My fifth time dining at Big Easy and second time in the Covent Garden restaurant. Waiting time to be served for drinks seemed excessive and actually by the time a waiter came over we had decided on food. This was at 4pm on a Sunday so not particularly busy in the restaurant. Starter was excellent but we waited 10 minutes for the starter to be cleared and another 35 minutes for the main to arrive, which one dish was luke warm at best when it did arrive. Had to flag down waiting staff for sauces and drinks as they weren't very proactive in offering them. Overall the layout and seating is nicer in Covent Garden but the menu and service is much better in Kings Road. We will return but probably not to this restaurant."

  • "If you love meat, you'll love the big easy. Like no other restaurant in the UK."
    dined on 20/07/2014
  • "3rd time eaten here, food good but downstairs tables a little too near each other, and small, a better variety of bottled beers may also help, but overall I enjoy the place"
    dined on 20/07/2014
  • "Having been to the big easy in chelsea I had high expectations. I made my reservation 6 weeks in advance as we had guests from out of town. Not only did we have to wait for over 45 minutes to be seated - i had to continuously go up to the desk to ask for updates. Our drinks at the bar also took 45 minutes with us asking 3 times to chase the order. The manager was apologetic and subsidized our first round but it was now late. Having spent a long time telling my guests how consistently good the lobster is with this chain unfortunately on this occasion it was disappointing, dry and over cooked. It seems this venue has become a victim of its own success becoming too busy to maintain decent standard. Very disappointed reluctance to return"

  • "Went here after finding it online by mistake, and I wasn't disappointed! Read a number of reviews which varied from Big Easy being the best place ever to being awful. I can only assume the bad ones were individuals that had an uncharacteristically bad experience and felt the need to vent, because everyone in the place was smiling! The atmosphere was great from the friendly staff to the decor and the overall ambience. Its setting (an old power station) was perfect, and it's rustic feel was added to when finding the toilets (down stairs, round corners, through doors, past machinery). The food was unrivalled - ribs were full of flavour, the pulled pork wasn't the mush you usually get, and the sides were all perfect. Definitely go!!"

  • "Have been to the Kings road branch, excellent. The food is AMAZING it was busy, service a little slow but for a saturday not unreasonable. Place was buzzing, food is just the best this side of the atlantic and prices not bad. In Covent Garden Restaurants know they have a captive audience and tend not to try too hard, service here is above average and the food is just the best. Well worth a visit but book in advance, they were turning them away when we walked in."

  • "The food at the Big Easy is really good. The down side is that every time we have booked, we still have to wait for a table for a long time. We went on Saturday and booked a table for 17:15 but did not get seated until nearly 18:00. When we were seated, we were scrammed between two other couples when there was plenty of space. The front of house staff was not very pleasant when I asked if our table would be ready soon - he responded 'we will come and get you'."

  • "The decor at the Big Easy is absolutely the best thing about it for me - amazing industrial chic, and I want a bar that well stocked in my house! Service was interesting though - our first waiter did not know whether the set menu was available, and told us it was before we realised it said only Monday to Friday. Half way through we got a new waiter who was a bit better, but we still had to ask three times for some milkshakes. The food was impressive, being served on a dustbin lid it was so much, but in terms of taste, I've had better. Everything was tender, but not the best ribs or pulled pork I've had, a little dry. BBQ sauce was too spicy too, a milder option would be good. To sum up, good looks, not matched by taste or service! :-("

  • "Fantastic BBQ and large portions. Service was friendly and so quick. Loved the style and atmosphere."
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "Excellent food, service and quality of drinks selection. Would always advise making a reservation as the restaurant was extremely busy, even at 3:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon. The quality of the barbecue food was brilliant, with the ribs stand out for special mention. The open kitchen downstairs is a real treat so you can watch the food being cooked. Overall, excellent value, definitely a cut above Boeeans and has a huge advantage over places like Pitt Cue Co simply because you can reserve a table."
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "While there were some very nice staff, they were never around when we wanted them which was unfortunate as we could have ordered more. There was an inability to deal with an awkward customer which meant all the staff were dealing with that one person and ignoring all other waiting for their tables. Overall it didnt ruin our night but it was disappointing."
    dined on 18/07/2014
  • "The food specifically the lobster was amazing! The bar is definitely something to see at this restaurant. My only negative comment would be the space between the tables made it feel alittle cramped but it was pretty busy so make sure you book a table in advance! Would definately be coming back for a second round, there was plenty of choice on the menu and good combos of food to share among a group."
    dined on 18/07/2014
  • "This is a very busy place, loud and full of energy. If you like to eat meat, lots of it, loud music and a crowded restaurant, then this is the places for you. The staff is friendly, most of them but since it is such a busy place, will take some time to get your drinks and food. I found the food to be ok, but not fantastic tho."
