Famous for its prime Maine lobsters, Big Easy offers up to 6 pounds of the prized crustaceans alongside a lobster cocktail, roll and bake, all available at incredible prices. They have sent their experts to trawl the Atlantic coastline for the finest, tastiest seafood and freshly delivered them straight to the heart of Chelsea everyday, allowing guests to tuck into fire roasted jumbo shrimp, Atlantic crab and New England clam chowder. Also expect 21 day aged Longhorn steaks, known for its lean, flavoursome and well-marbled beef, alongside fajitas, voodoo chicken wings and home smoked extra meaty "fall off the bone" ribs slathered in a special barbecue sauce.
With a buzzy atmosphere, huge portions and terrific cocktails, it's impossible not to have fun.

Diner Reviews
  • "Food was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful, ambiance was amazing. Would definitely suggest the Big Easy to friends A++"

  • "A friend and I are on a rib quest and this was listed in the top 10 in a magazine. We had the Tempura king prawns and Voodoo wings to start. Both generous portions but priced accordingly. The Wings sauce was a little heavy on the vinegar but a hit with me, the prawns were great and I don't normally like hot prawns. Mains we both had the extra meaty belly pork ribs, 3 of them may not sound a lot - any one would be a standard belly pork portion, served with good quality coleslaw and homemade beans. Side of very tasty and cooked in fresh oil fries. The meat was super tender, could have been marinated longer so the flavors permeated more. We each managed 2 and took the 3rd home. Deserts were equally huge. It exceeded my expectations"

  • "Nice area, nice restaurant, good service & good food. Make sure you come hungry, it's big portions. Only wish they could cater for large part groups in the evenings. Over all very good."

  • "Very knowledgeable Italian barman guided us through the cocktail list (happy hour til 7 on some cocktails and beers). Food was great, service snappy and attentive, really good buzz in the place."

  • "The food was good as was the service (even though they forget to bring a glass of wine and then tried to overcharge for it), but the restaurant was so noisy that it was more or less impossible for us to have a conversation during the meal. There was a live band (that was v good), but the acoustics in the low-ceiling basement plus the fact that the speakers seemed to be turned to volume 11 spoilt what otherwise would have been a nice evening. I realise that the nature of the restaurant is that it is not a quiet, candle-lit type of environment, but even so - you kind of want to be able to speak with the people you go with. Food good though."

  • "The Big Easy never lets me down! Whatever the time of day, the staff are friendly, attentive and efficient and the food is consistently good. Thursdays steak & lobster with a couple of margueritas - perfect! Just watch out as the bill always comes with a 12.5% service charge so can be a bit of a shock when in a big party or have ordered a couple of bottles of wine, but they are always happy to give a bill with no service charge if you prefer."

  • "Excellent value on the lunch menu :-). Great atmosphere, nice staff, a lot of choice on main menu and milkshakes were amazing."

  • "On arrival, we were shown to the bar area for a drink while we waited for a table. The bar was really well stocked, lots of nice craft beers and cocktail options. Big Easy has a really good atmosphere and makes you feel like you could be in an authentic BBQ joint in the states. After ordering the food, everyone was looking forward to trying what looked great on other plates passing by. Unfortunately, it was a case of looking good and that was it. The chicken and shrimp plate had very dry chicken and rubbery shrimp and the chicken lux burger was dry and bland. The only success was the bottomless shrimp which my friend did enjoy. Perhaps it was poor choices ordering, but this place was definitely not worth the money and over hyped."

  • "We went as a young family of 6 and had a great time. The portions are huge and so is the atmosphere. You really get the whole American feast feeling. Would def recommend"

  • "Really good atmosphere and buzz in the restaurant but food wasn't as good as usual. Steak was rather bland and fatty which was disappointing"
    dined on 09/08/2014
  • "Good place to go if you're hungry! Meat was well cooked and tender, shrimps were huuuuuge (and tasty) which is refreshing. Restaurant is well fitted out and has great ambience, only down-side is the size of the place, the upstairs is just far tooooo small - you are packed in like sardines and pretty much sitting in your neighbours lap."

  • "We booked three tables of six. We ordered 10-15mins after the others but they finished their meal before we had even got ours. The food was lukewarm as the others were hungry they ate but as I had chicken I sent mine back. It came back warm (not hot). I was so hungry by this time that i didn't send it back but told the waitress. The food was dry and inedible, a shame as I was looking forward to the Shrimp and only tried one of the three served. When the waitress asked if we had enjoyed our food I told her no. She advised that I did not have to pay for the meal. The restaurant was packed and tables tightly squeezed together. I felt ill on the way home and all the next day with a tummy upset. I will not be returning to Big Easy"

  • "We had the lunch menu and most of us struggled to finish. It's really good and has good value for money. Some of my friends only managed to finish the appetiser and packed the main course to take away."
    dined on 06/08/2014
  • "The ribs were the best we've ever eaten!! Lobster was very well cooked also! The cocktails were fab! Especially muddy waters! Again probably one of the best cocktails we've had!"

  • "I've lost count of the amount of times me and the girlfriend have eaten here and we'll continue to do so. There isn't a restaurant in London with a better atmosphere and the food is just awesome. The waiters and waitresses are always really friendly too. 10/10 every time."

  • "We booked a table for 4 peeps...and were seated straight away.....We loved our Ribs...Wings....Lobster.....mmmmm And not to mention, they serve some of the best cocktails in town!!! .....It is definately worth a visit :)"

  • "The Big Easy is great. On Thursday night they have a steak & lobster special which is awesome value for money and it's a cool place to chill with friends."

  • "If your a lover of meat and seafood you will love this place! The staff are well informed of the menu and have a great sense of humour."

  • "Extraordinary good value BBQ crustaceans and ribs, served in generous portions by friendly and efficient staff. If you are planning on lobster or crab, give yourself extra time: they really are large. This shack-style eatery is much loved by locals and foodies who travel far to get here: booking is a must. The place is happy, noisy and mostly young, but no-one is made to feel out of place, from grannies to babies. No parking or real outdoor eating option."

  • "Other than the fact that it is a tad cramped everything else outstanding. Food was awesome, great atmosphere. good live music at just the right volume, staff friendly and great service and the prices, remembering we are on the Kings Road, very reasonable. Thoroughly recommend to both young and young at heart."
    dined on 29/07/2014
  • "The Big Easy needs more than a little tuning up. The ribs, one of their signature dishes, were dry not juicy. The prawns were mealy and overdone. At least in the basement, the tables were too small to seat 3 along one side if a table for 6. As for the music I love the blues but wouldn't have chosen that playlist in a fit. I don't mind it loud but it was really intrusive. The service was quick, but so quick the chip pot was taken away as I was eating them. Big Easy, you have to stay excellent to stay successful. Pull you socks up!"
    dined on 29/07/2014
  • "I have been here twice now and I love it! Food and service is amazing! The only thing I'm not a fan of is some tables are so close together and when I got seated I feel like I was on top of the table next to me! There's about 8 inches between it which is a tight squeeze! I will visit here again just hope I don't get seated in them tables again"

  • "We had been recommended by friend to try out BE 'cos of the gorgeous food! We were going to go to the Convent Garden one which is much nearer to where we live, but after reading the reviews which were hit and miss regarding the service we decided visit the King's RD branch instead which had great reviews all round. We were not disappointed! The staff were brilliant, polite and attentive but not over the top. The food was really good too. Would definitely recommend to others."

  • "Had a great time at The Big Easy. My boyfriend and I were recommended this place by another couple who told us to go for one if the daily deals. Friendly and fun atmosphere, not stuffy or typical of the area. We arrived with a couple of hours to enjoy happy hour which meant a variety of delicious cocktails. Their frozen margaritas were perfect! The lobster is really tasty, and the ribs are succulent and juicy, perhaps the best we've had of American style joints. Their jumbo tempura shrimp are incredible. Somehow we managed to polish off the fudge cake for desert, easily big enough to share. Highly recommended!"

  • "Food was good, live band playing. Good for a group night out."
    dined on 22/07/2014
  • "The food was lovely, unfortunately the service wasn't as I had previously experienced it. forgotten orders, wrong orders, the atmosphere was nice although the music was a bit loud, and you had to shout when giving your order and that might have been why the order was wrong, other then that everyone enjoyed themselves."
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "Big Easy is a cosy place to have a meal with friends and family, and I would definitely suggest making a reservation. Service was friendly, but it can be difficult to get their attention when the place is full up. I recommend the milkshake - deliciously creamy and sinful. The fried prawn appetiser was superb, but the hot wings were only alright."
    dined on 18/07/2014
  • "Came to Big Easy on Kings Road for Girls Night/Birthday Dinner. I had booked two weeks in advance. I received confirmation of booking quickly and was confirmed on the day as well. Our booking was for 8pm. After 35 minutes, we were finally seated. We had a drink at the bar where the barman was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Asked if we could add drinks to our table and we were given a sarcastic reply. A simple no would have sufficed considering we were already a bit annoyed at having to wait. Finally seated at 8:45pm. Our order was not taken until 9:15. Saving grace was that the food was yummy otherwise I think we would have walked out."

  • "Another visit to Big Easy. Never disappoints. Endless shrimp night on a Tuesday. Book early."

  • "I was very much looking forward to Big Easy with a group of friends. Having spent time in New Orleans, I was excited for good southern food and BBQ. However I ended up being slightly underwhelmed. Although the food was certainly not bad, it was average and no better than what you would expect from TGI's. Firstly, the BBQ food was clearly not cooked on a BBQ. The ribs were fine, but I have has food of the same calibre in a pub. The service was good and I enjoyed the cocktails and milkshakes but if you are looking for good quality or exciting American food - go elsewhere."
    dined on 13/07/2014
  • "I took the family here for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed as we all had a great time: the food was great with American-sized portions (read LARGE) and the service was excellent. I had he lobster, my wife had the king prawns, my daughters had king prawns and the crab, while my son had the bbq chicken and rack of ribs. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They were all full but still insisted on taking home the red velvet cake for dessert! The only negative thing I can say is that seating/space is a bit cramped."
    dined on 13/07/2014
  • "I really enjoyed Big Easy.. - great vibe and ambience - great service (David who was our waiter) - good music (albeit a tad loud at times) - great food (loved the idea of the bibs) There wasn't really many negatives that I could say about this place. Definitely pre book on Friday - or any day as it looks like it gets busy!"
