A word from Big Easy- Kings Road
Founded over 20 years ago, the legendary Big Easy Barbecue and Crabshack combines the finest American cuisine made using quality ingredients with an impressive wine list, frozen margaritas and toe-tapping live music every night. Famous for its prime Maine lobsters, Big Easy offers up to 6 pounds of the prized crustaceans alongside a lobster cocktail, roll and bake, all available at incredible prices. They have sent their experts to trawl the Atlantic coastline for the finest, tastiest seafood and freshly delivered them straight to the heart of Chelsea everyday, allowing guests to tuck into fire roasted jumbo shrimp, Atlantic crab and New England clam chowder. Also expect 21 day aged Longhorn steaks, known for its lean, flavoursome and well-marbled beef, alongside fajitas, voodoo chicken wings and home smoked extra meaty "fall off the bone" ribs slathered in a special barbecue sauce.
With a buzzy atmosphere, huge portions and terrific cocktails, it's impossible not to have fun.

  • "If your a lover of meat and seafood you will love this place! The staff are well informed of the menu and have a great sense of humour."

  • "Other than the fact that it is a tad cramped everything else outstanding. Food was awesome, great atmosphere. good live music at just the right volume, staff friendly and great service and the prices, remembering we are on the Kings Road, very reasonable. Thoroughly recommend to both young and young at heart."

  • "The Big Easy needs more than a little tuning up. The ribs, one of their signature dishes, were dry not juicy. The prawns were mealy and overdone. At least in the basement, the tables were too small to seat 3 along one side if a table for 6. As for the music I love the blues but wouldn't have chosen that playlist in a fit. I don't mind it loud but it was really intrusive. The service was quick, but so quick the chip pot was taken away as I was eating them. Big Easy, you have to stay excellent to stay successful. Pull you socks up!"

  • "I have been here twice now and I love it! Food and service is amazing! The only thing I'm not a fan of is some tables are so close together and when I got seated I feel like I was on top of the table next to me! There's about 8 inches between it which is a tight squeeze! I will visit here again just hope I don't get seated in them tables again"

  • "We had been recommended by friend to try out BE 'cos of the gorgeous food! We were going to go to the Convent Garden one which is much nearer to where we live, but after reading the reviews which were hit and miss regarding the service we decided visit the King's RD branch instead which had great reviews all round. We were not disappointed! The staff were brilliant, polite and attentive but not over the top. The food was really good too. Would definitely recommend to others."

  • "Had a great time at The Big Easy. My boyfriend and I were recommended this place by another couple who told us to go for one if the daily deals. Friendly and fun atmosphere, not stuffy or typical of the area. We arrived with a couple of hours to enjoy happy hour which meant a variety of delicious cocktails. Their frozen margaritas were perfect! The lobster is really tasty, and the ribs are succulent and juicy, perhaps the best we've had of American style joints. Their jumbo tempura shrimp are incredible. Somehow we managed to polish off the fudge cake for desert, easily big enough to share. Highly recommended!"

  • "I have eaten here several times and always have the daily special, the food is great, some of the best steak I have had in London and is always great value"

  • "We have recently moved to Chelsea and was recommened the big easy by my husbands boss We could not fault it. Only thing I would say is we would love to bring my mother but she is in s wheelchair it did not look very disabled friendly"

  • "The food was lovely, unfortunately the service wasn't as I had previously experienced it. forgotten orders, wrong orders, the atmosphere was nice although the music was a bit loud, and you had to shout when giving your order and that might have been why the order was wrong, other then that everyone enjoyed themselves."
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "Big Easy is a cosy place to have a meal with friends and family, and I would definitely suggest making a reservation. Service was friendly, but it can be difficult to get their attention when the place is full up. I recommend the milkshake - deliciously creamy and sinful. The fried prawn appetiser was superb, but the hot wings were only alright."

  • "Came to Big Easy on Kings Road for Girls Night/Birthday Dinner. I had booked two weeks in advance. I received confirmation of booking quickly and was confirmed on the day as well. Our booking was for 8pm. After 35 minutes, we were finally seated. We had a drink at the bar where the barman was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Asked if we could add drinks to our table and we were given a sarcastic reply. A simple no would have sufficed considering we were already a bit annoyed at having to wait. Finally seated at 8:45pm. Our order was not taken until 9:15. Saving grace was that the food was yummy otherwise I think we would have walked out."

  • "Another visit to Big Easy. Never disappoints. Endless shrimp night on a Tuesday. Book early."

  • "I was very much looking forward to Big Easy with a group of friends. Having spent time in New Orleans, I was excited for good southern food and BBQ. However I ended up being slightly underwhelmed. Although the food was certainly not bad, it was average and no better than what you would expect from TGI's. Firstly, the BBQ food was clearly not cooked on a BBQ. The ribs were fine, but I have has food of the same calibre in a pub. The service was good and I enjoyed the cocktails and milkshakes but if you are looking for good quality or exciting American food - go elsewhere."
    dined on 13/07/2014
  • "I took the family here for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed as we all had a great time: the food was great with American-sized portions (read LARGE) and the service was excellent. I had he lobster, my wife had the king prawns, my daughters had king prawns and the crab, while my son had the bbq chicken and rack of ribs. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They were all full but still insisted on taking home the red velvet cake for dessert! The only negative thing I can say is that seating/space is a bit cramped."
    dined on 13/07/2014
  • "I really enjoyed Big Easy.. - great vibe and ambience - great service (David who was our waiter) - good music (albeit a tad loud at times) - great food (loved the idea of the bibs) There wasn't really many negatives that I could say about this place. Definitely pre book on Friday - or any day as it looks like it gets busy!"

  • "Excellent food, great service. An overall excellent experience"

  • "Amazing lunch, the Voodoo chicken wings are awsome. Lobster was lush and the meaty ribs to die for, we just ordered far too much, was a shame we couldnt eat it all!!! Baby friendly staff :)"

  • "You just can't go wrong ...especially if you go for an all you can eat themed night....fantastic food coupled with a great atmosphere makes for a really enjoyable experience"

  • "My second visit to the Big Easy and dubious about the wait for a table, I made sure I booked beforehand. While waiting for our table to be cleared, we indulged in the 'Classic' frozen cocktail that went a long way and were shown to our table. Beginning with the Combo Mumbo appetiser to share, we got cracking, tucking into voluptuous Jumbo prawns, crab claws and juicy lobster tails. And when we asked our friendly server for additional sauce (not that it was required) she returned with three gravy boats worth (big smiles all round). For a main, I ordered the tempura jumbo prawns served with chips and a creamy sweet coleslaw that was surprisingly delicious. My only complaint was with myself as I couldn't finish the whole meal. Thoroughly fed."
    dined on 09/07/2014
  • "We had an outdoor table as it was a lovely summer evening. The good was great? The waiting staff were excellent. My mate had the special of the day which was excellent value for money- unlimited fajitas and and ice cold beer. I went for the lobster roll- it was wholesome, filling and tasty. Highly recommend the venue and I will definitely be back."

  • "An established institution and always good for group bookings and live music! Service can be a little slow/off when they are busy, which is always...."

  • "We have an annual 4th of July booking and it was great fun again! They put on a great themed night and we really enjoy it. Only comment was that the band was not as good as usual and didn't play as many good old American songs. Better band next year please!"
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "I love this place. My boyfriend and I went on Thurdsay. We had the special which was steak, half lobster and a frozen margarita. It was defintely delicious and good value for money. We will come back again! We just fall in love with the Big Easy restaurant."
    dined on 03/07/2014
  • "I have always liked the food and ambience at this Crabshack - Tuesday's unlimited shrimps deal is simply awesome. On top of this the service offered is pretty great. Only complain is that they used to play live country music which wasn't the case on this visit."
    dined on 01/07/2014
  • "Son's 23rd Birthaday celebration en famille turned into a disappointment. Far too much noise with loud 2-piece band playing music in the basement - great songs & great little band - but totally inappropriate for location and average age group. Could not hear yourself think let alone others speaking. Food was average (lobster meat tough), sides arrived after mains had been finished (margaritas offered and accepted as apology which was a nice touch from the manager), tables far too tightly packed, so overall very disappointing and will not be going back."
    dined on 01/07/2014
  • "Loud, brash and requiring a bib! Food was excellent, both on the shrimp and lobster side and on the ribs. Typical American excess in quantities."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "The food came so fast it put other restaurants to shame on their food service. It was soo yummy and very impressive quality of seafood and the size! When you ask for jumbo shrimp it really is massive. Where else in London can you get lobster and steak together. The margaritas are fun! They have a sort of slushy machine they come out of...great for summer."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "Great value & food is absolutely fantastic. Can honestly say you won't find better food or service anywhere in London, also a great atmosphere & some live music. Perfect for special occasions or just a night out 👍"
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "I'm becoming a regular!!! that's all I can say for now :)"
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "The place gets so packed and the tables are too small and squeezed in. The way the food is plated makes for a meal which is quite hard work to complete. Good fun nevertheless."
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "Visited on Wednesday night with a group of girls. The faghita's were great. Everyone loved the shrimp & steak! Yummy. My mouth is drooling even now. We'll be back soon. Thanks Big Easy!"
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "I have been to big easy many times and it is always satisfying! Great atmosphere, good value with many offers through the week! Highly recommended"
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "If booking for 4 you get plenty of space, a table for 2 and it's a bit of a squeeze. I love the food, lots of it and great value, I keep going back. Always book before you go, always a queue of disappointed diners out of the door. We go for the all you can eat menues, not matter what it is, it's great!"
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "Wild West meets American diner, though I'm not sure exactly how Big Easy means to position itself. The place is packed full of people, mainly because they position all the tables and chairs like sardines making it extremely difficult for customers and waiters to pass through. This doesn't help with the noise levels either. The music plays really loud whilst you shout your conversation over the speakers. The food was ok, but nothing special and nothing that I haven't had before at another themed American restaurant. I had the ribs, thinking they'd be really good since this was an American BBQ menu. They were average (didn't fall off the bone as I expected). The portions were also so massive they didn't fit on the table! Bit disappointed."
    dined on 24/06/2014
  • "had been meaning to go for ages and we finally managed. its not the most romantic and refined place but rather to go with a group of friends and have a bbq or lobster feast. Food and ambience were great and the service was absolutely excellent - they come regularly to check if you want refills etc. We had the chicken & ribs BBQ and the lobster festival. Both recommendable."
    dined on 23/06/2014
  • "i have been to this restaurant a few times now, but onthis particlular occasion i ended up getting the buffalo wings for a starter and they were marvellous. I also had mu usual which was the lobster sald and chips, you can't go wrong with this. I absolutely love the food here"
    dined on 22/06/2014
  • "Great food... Great music... Lobster was delicious! Good deals on lobster & beer/margaritas! I recommend the voodoo shrimp & chicken wings!"

  • "I have to say if your hungry this is the place to go! My girlfriends lobster was well worth it and came with a free cocktail we decided to share a platter at the start but it wasn't great just MASSIVE. Would recommend it because it has a great atmosphere and impeccable service."
