Having seen mixed reviews following the booking I was a little apprehensive. But without foundation. Food and service was great. The lady waitress from Dublin also ran up the street in the rain after my wife left her phone. Cosy cool and we will be back.

Having visited Mexico a few times I thought the food was very authentic and enjoyed it very much. However, the restaurant was very compact and we felt a bit squeezed out by a large noisy group next to us. The dessert list was disappointing so we declined.

I find Boho Mexica a consistently good experience - a great selection of Tequila and related spirits and the authentic mexican food could not be further away from the awful Tex Mex restaurant offerings that used to be the only option for Mexican food. The service is good and staff helpful.

Pretty good place. Decent food, although starters were better than the main course for me. the veggie option main course was impressive, however. The place is a bit cramped with table sharing and the such, but it adds to the atmosphere. The staff are all good, friendly, attentive and drinks were good. But somewhat unbelievably expensive. The drinks and shots we had (which were some of the cheapest on the menu) coming to just under £6.20 each after the service charge which is bordering on ridiculous for a beer with tomato sauce, or a shot of tequila. Worth going but the price point would seriously sway me. We only had £2 change from £100 for a meal for two and hardly went crazy.

This place is amazing! Some of the best Mexican food I've had in London. My friend and I arrived for dinner and were the 1st diners. Food was served promptly and we were not rushed at all. There were many delicious food options that I did not even know existed after having enduring chain Mexican restaurant slop for so long. I read a review in Timeout online and it did not disappoint, I can't wait to go back to Boho Mexica.

We had a few issues when we dined - slow service, missing our full meal - they were having issues with the printer up in the kitchen, these things happen and the staff were fairly good about it. The food was middle of the road and i had plastic in mine. Minus the plastic and other issues, the food did not set my world on fire - difficult for any Mexican food not to do that! A big plus is the ambience, i really liked the decor and atmosphere, chilled and bustling at the same time.

Fantastic food, great value. Brilliant cocktails. The staff were friendly but pretty slow for a half full restaurant, forgetting to bring extra sides (didn't get our extra starter tortilla chips until after we had finished our mains!) and we probably would have had dessert if asked about it. But these are minor gripes as the place has a really good feel and the food is excellent with decent sized portions. Also, the staff were all pleasant and I can forgive a lot as long as people are nice.

Boho Mexicana used to be my favourite London Mexican, delivering some really authentic dishes that tasted great and went along well with the lively atmosphere of the restaurant and the bar. Something seems to have changed this time however, as the food was pretty disappointing to say the least. The tacos were very bland. Avoid the Tamal de Frijol. Either its a very acquired taste or just plain gross. Might go back for drinks and snacks (cocktails were great), but probably not for food. Notedly, it was not as packed as it has been in the past on a Friday night.

We chose Bohos on reading reviews on the internet. We wanted a restaurant that was not a chain in east London. On line it looked just the place but unfortunately itwas a disappointment, especially as it was my birthday. Our group was aged between 17 and 52 years. The Spanish waitress was friendly and welcoming but unfortunately unfamiliar with the menu. The Chef did come up to help. The lunch menu selection was less than on the internet for lunch. We asked plain tortilla chips with melted cheese but they said they couldnt do this. Our starters were tasty and There was a good selection of drinks. Some of the mains were dissappointing and luke warm.. We didnt stay for desert. Just feel very dissappointed and let down that the reviews.

Booked the table for 8 and finally got the table fot 8-45. Told to wait at the (small) bar...recieved one drink from an order of 2 drinks whilst waiting. The other turned up at the table. Food was well cooked and tasted fine. The resturant is small and they cram as many tables as possible in. Its tight to say the least. It was how ever fully booked and busy on a thursday night...so maybe ive got the place all wrong.

We went with a voucher and the staff was just not prepared or trained at all to understand how the voucher works!! Moreover, for Sunday brunch which is usually peak time, there was just one waitress and one bartender available. So as you can imagine, there was a long long wait after placing the orders... On the plus side, however, the food is very good and flavourful.

food and atmosphere was outstanding, however our visit was hampered by the pretty shoddy service. we arrived 5 minutes early for our booking, were seated and had our order taken by a waitress who didn't introduce herself (otherwise she would be mentioned in this review, believe me...) and seemed to be continually drinking wine from the bottle behind the counter ? (i like to party but come on, a bit unprofessional) 1 hour later i asked where our food was (from another staff member) and was told no order had been put into the computer for our table, it took another 35 minutes from then before we ate anything and as a result we missed our last train and had to get night busses. regardless, the food was cheap and amazing so i would come back

Having eaten Mexican food numerous times across the world including in Mexico I alas cannot recommend this restaurant at all. The ambience and service was fine but as soon as the watered down Margharita arrived I guessed we were not in for a treat. The tacos were the worst I've ever tasted - I include supermarket ones in this statement. The advocado in the giacolmole was hard and having informed the waiter we didn't get another or any discount. Luckily for us the main of pulled pork was quite tasty.

I loved my meal as it an entree that is very traditional in Oaxaca but my husband thought his braised pork was a touch like gristle covered up with flavour. The plantains sides were absolutely delicious. It was quite expensive and very loud, even though we huddled in the quietest corner of the back bar - not a place to go for a romantic meal. Margaritas were good but overall pricey. The attraction is the menu has offerings that go beyond most Mexican restaurants in London.

The staff were really friendly but service was very slow even though it was a Monday. No-one checked on us, we always had to call someone over. The drinks were nice, but my meal was not great. A whole lot of cheese and tiny bit of meat in the Quesadilla's and a bit of lettuce on the side. Nachos & Guacamole was good. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. Would however try again, but it might just've been a poor meal choice!

Well this is real mexican, I can reccomend the Diablo Prawn main dish and the Wedding Stew main dish, too many "Mexican" "Restaurants" these days are "Taco and Burrito" if I want that I get that at lunch time, with a coke, here the mexican food and oh did I mention the Mescal Cocktails are the real deal. A good night out with drinks for two £90, but it keeps the riff raff away :)

This was my second visit to Boho Mexica and getting there early (before the evening rush) meant we could sit at the bar and have a chat with the bar man, who was excellent. The spicy beer with tomato is odd but so good and we enjoyed a mescal, which the barman took time to explain what all the different once were, before we sat down. This is quality, authentic Mexican food. The flavours are great, portion sizes about right and the chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle, like an armadillo. I would highly recommend this place, it's relaxed, excellent cocktails. My wife said it was the best espresso martini she has ever had - and she's had a few! You can enjoy yourself here.

We had a booking with friends. When we arrived we were shown to the bar for 15 mins as our table wasn't ready, which was a bit frustrating as we had a booking and had already had pre-dinner drinks. The food was tasty, but far too expensive for what it was. Other reviewers have commented on this too. Service was fairly swift although we had to keep flagging the waiter down. Overall, we enjoyed the meal but some improvements could be made.

I have been here a couple of times before and always had a great experience. However on my last visit, 20 minutes after arriving we had to call the waiter over to ask for our drinks as nobody it seemed was coming to serve us. This set the tone for the entire evening; the waiter was unattentive and when he did come over he smelled of tobacco and was really rude. Our starters never appeared so had to be removed from the bill, the mains were good but more luke warm than hot. If you were paying really cheap prices you might be willing to let it go but for the prices the standard of food and the shoddy service just isn't good enough.

Was very busy when we arrived..we ordered chicken wings and beef brisket for starter and was really delish! The waiters bought out 2 avo salsa dips with tortilla chips without asking and we thought it was complimentary but we got charged for them. The drinks took ages to come, and it was not that great for cocktails to honest. . Our main was not living up to the starter expectation ... the squid and octopus rice with soft tortilla main was amazing.. the pork and grilled pineapple tacos was boring and pork was dry. the lamb corn tortilla was very dry as well.. the waiters was very welcoming in the beginning but towards the end they couldnt wait to get us out... our reservation was till 930 and they were pressuring us out by 9.05pm not cool!

The food was great and the waiters/waitresses were nice and friendly. However with 1.5 hours table time you barely get time to order drink and then food, eat and then bam you get your bill. I felt I was in a fast food restaurant. And for the prices they charge, which are higher than the average Mexican restaurant, I think customers should have the right to stay in a bit longer and actually enjoy their meal rather than rush everything.
