A word from Bolton's
London’s Bolton’s Restaurant is a popular City haunt, offering a simple combination of fresh Italian flavours and laid back but stylish atmosphere. Tucked down a side road just off of Fenchurch Street, Bolton’s has long been a favourite of the high powered bankers and businessmen of the local area, earning a reputation as a place to network and entertain. With its subtle hints of luxury and affluence the Bolton’s dining room is unpretentious and timeless, very much like its cuisine. A tour of Italy’s famous culinary regions, the Bolton’s menu is hearty but elegant, every dish given the unique flavour of this high end restaurant through the use of good ingredients and stunning presentation. • "its been there for 27 years, its traditional, and you have people that have been going there for 27 years. The food was good, the wine excellent and service was genuine and considerate, I really enjoyed it"

  • "I had a perfectly ok lunch here but the food was expensive for what it was. Service was fast and over-efficient to the point of being brusque. We had booked for 2.30pm and definitely felt they were trying to get rid of us. Good, basic Italian food. I selected the restaurant because it was close to my workplace, but for great Italian food I would go elsewhere, notably La Barca at Waterloo."

  • "This grand old dame of the City luncheon circuit continues to serve up excellent food and first rate service. If you are looking for the hour long lunch or the more leisurely business lunch this venue had few equals"

  • "Took a client for last minute Christmas lunch, so only booked at 09.00 a.m. for lunch at 1.00 p.m. Service was attentive, enthusiastic and jolly without being intrusive. 3 people had 3 different meals and all reported it to be excellent. Would certainly put this on my list of "regulars" from now on."
    dined on 14/12/2012
  • "We had a lovely meal. The service was very quick so didnt waste half day for lunch. The food was really lovely althrough the portions were huge. We had minestrone soup, pasta with grilled prawns and spinach, pasta carbonara and some others - all great choices."

  • "Bolton's, London EC3M First visit - no frills, excellent service, good food."
    dined on 03/04/2012
  • "Boltons near Monument looks like a downstairs bar that doubles as an Italian restaurant. The waiters had a lot of Italian affectation, but it really is not traditional Italian. Food was decent, but a real Italian would not serve their food with such a mmorass of Italian style accompaniments (balsamic vinegar on a salad starter which already had a sauce). Service was fast and was pleasant overall. Didn't look at the wine list."

  • "Boltons in London is one of my favourite restaurants with great food and friendly staff. It can be a bit expensive but you get what you pay for in size of portions and quality of food."

  • "Bolton. London. Good food. Clasic menu. Decent service. Has the feel of a gentlemans club both service wise and diner demographics!"
    dined on 06/03/2012
  • "Bolton's at The Monument, London was a good lunchtime venue. Hidden away in a small alley, downstairs, it would be easy to miss. We arrived at midday and it was jam-packed with business lunches at 12.30pm. The food was generously portioned and very wholesome. Calamari, asparagus and fettucine starters were great followed by lamb shank (fell of the bone) and tagliatelle mains were suitably filling. The waiters were attentive and professional and they all added to the hustle-bustle of this Italian"

  • "Yet another great business lunch at Boltons! Excellent food, excellent service. Just a little bit pricey - the only very slight negative"
    dined on 08/02/2012
  • "This was my 3rd lunchtime visit to Bolton's and, once again, the food and the service was very good. My only slight negative is that it's quite pricey. 2 courses for 2 people with a total of 3 glasses of house wine was £100."

My only slight negative is the price. £72 for 2 main courses, 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of water and 2 coffees seems a bit steep."
