We always consider this one of the best Indian restaurants in London. It has recently re-opened after a long refurbishment. There were some teething problems which I hope will be addressed in the near future.

Bombay Palace, Essex. The reward was not a fee 2 course meal from a limited menu as expected, but buy one get one free from a limited menu, so this was a bit misleading. Overall the service was mediocre, the food was pretty good. Ambience was average. I was surprised by the strictness of the limited menu, as you could not get a starter +main and main+desert for the reward. Overall a bit disappointing.

The offer was not documented accurately on the website and as a result caused a less enjoyable meal experience. Nevertheless, the food tasted good, however the ambience and service were nothing special and I would not go back

I took my partner to this restaurant, after having hear recommendations from friends. I was very delighted with my choice and so many exciting dishes to choose from. Tandoori Garlic Chilli Chicken & Batak Raja are 2 must choose dishes. Service was equally excellent as the chef's food. Will most certainly return again!

Busy as always, and rightfully so. Good food and a nice atmosphere. Service a bit slow at times, but that can be forgiven.

Had the Rewards meal which was actually a very good curry. Be aware that the rewards menu does not include rice. However, expect to return here when we have some more points to spend

Our first visit to the Bombay Palace in Harold Wood and we went to redeem some points which were about to expire. First impressions were of a nice clean and well decorated restaurant with a warm ambience - despite being early on Tuesday night it was quite busy and also doing take-aways. Specific points menu was very limited and we did have to buy rice, nan, chutney, drinks etc. as extra but the food was good, well presented and the staff very helpful and efficient.

Great food, but the interiors is reminiscent of 1960's India - tired, unloved and un-charming. The service reminds of uninterested crew being forced to serve clients. Chrages are high compared to overall service.

I used the Bombay Palace in Harold Wood as my 'free meal' using my reward points. Firstly the good points. The food was very nice and we were made very welcome, BUT. The rewards menu is designed so that you have to spend extra money. You get a free starter and a main dish but the main dish does not come with any rice or bread so you have to buy this. I do not call a bowl of chicken bhuna on its own a 'free meal'. The rewards menu was not extensive. A curry and rice would have been better.
