group of 4 ate midweek dinner using the 50% off deal. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, service was fine our only complaint and it was a small one was our table location was next to toilet entrance which if the area of the restaurant that we were in had been full could have been more disruptive. Would definitely return and request a different table/ area of restaurant if possible.

Had lunch with a long-standing business contact who works nearby so we tried this place and very pleased. We took the 50% off food offer, which requires ordering 2 courses off main menu (excluding steak, not a problem). My foie gras parfait was delicious and my friend's salad very colourful. Her beer battered cod with chips looked great and got a big thumbs up. My seafood linguine was packed with shellfish and tasty (very garlicky), but runny broth-like sauce + wayward pasta meant I left some pasta rather than splash us both with tomato sauce. Good wine by the glass and tap water supplied. Coffees also good. Just under £50 for 2 courses + 1 glass wine each + coffee = good value for location.

This restaurant had an authentic bistro "feel". The food was good without being exceptional, the wine offerings perfectly acceptable and the service friendly, if a little erratic at times. Our only complaint was that the portion of rabbit was very small, consisting mainly of ribs, which carry very little meat. However, the special offer of 50% off food made for a decent meal at a very good price.

Took the 3 courses with glass of Kir Royale for £22.50 Nice atmosphere and busy restaurant. Food was good and well presented. Good value for money. Waiting staff were attentive but service was a little slow. We had 1.5 hours to spare but had to rush our dessert at the end. If going pre-theatre best to tell them beforehand that you only have limited time. Only gripe was both our minute steaks had a large piece of gristle and fat in them so about a third could not be eaten. Would not put me off going again though.

The ambience was not that fantastic because the place was small and a tad crammed. However service was awesome, wait staff were brilliant and attentive. The starters were delicious and simply love the duck confit I ordered. Succulent, juicy and tender duck meat! Chocolate tart was on the sweet side but the cheesecake with the tinge of ginger was refreshing! The three course set meal deal was definitely an outstanding value!

Table for 2 booked for 6pm on a Saturday evening for after a matinee performance. Actually arrived at 5.30, so half an hour early but this was no trouble. We were seated immediately. Had the set 2 courses. Chicken liver parfait and salmon for starters; duck confit and beef burgonion, all of which was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were all done in just over an hour, though didn't feel in any way rushed. All together a very enjoyable experience, would definitely go again

We dined last minute on a weekend evening using the Open Table 3course+kir royale for £22.50 offer menu. The choices for each course were good, the food was well cooked and presented and of large quantities (neither of us could finish the desserts). The main downside to this place is the ambience- it felt very cramped and the acoustics were so poor we had to shout sometimes to have a normal conversation which unfortunately kills the romance a little. But the staff were friendly, the food was of good quality and the location is ideal so I would recommend

Booked a table for my husband and I for a pre theatre dinner. Our waiter asked if were going to a show and what time, so he could inform the kitchen that we had limited time. Decided to go for the set menu of a glass of kir and two causes for £17.50. The choices on the menu were good and the portions a good size. The food arrived promptly and even had time for dessert if we could had eaten more.

A lovely French restauarant in the heart of London. Varied selection on the menu. We had the Moules Marniere and Brie in filo pastry to start with and both were divine. For main we had the Beef Bourguignon which just melted in the mouth - very tasty and was presented in its own cooking pot. Unfortunately we could manage dessert but the choice on offer looked fabulous. It was my fiances birthday and he was serenaded by all the waiters as they sang Happy Birthday which was a nice surprise for my partner and me ! Staff were very polite and attentive.Overall a very good experience.

The menu was a bit limited but we enjoyed our meal at Boulevard Brasserie, and it was good value with the 50% off food. Only criticisms were that the duck leg was dry on the outside (but very tender inside), and my sea bass was also quite dry. The prosecco was great value, less than £5 for a very large glass.

I took my daughter here for her 22nd birthday dinner. The restaurant is set up like a very traditional French bistro which could have been straight out of a Paris! Dined on 12/9/2014
Overpriced, overcrowded (we might as well have dined with the couples either side of us we were that close), 12.5% service charge applied automatically which really annoys me and the steak I had was full of gristle - I don't expect that for £22. Much of it was left on the side of the plate but the waiter made no comment. They did not apply the 50% food discount which we were entitled to having booked through open table and we were in too much of a rush to follow that up. £25 for a bottle of ordinary wine that costs £5 or £6 in a supermarket. Very disappointing given other reviews.

I've been to the Boulevard Brasserie several times now. Each time it has been to meet up with family or dear friends, so you want to go somewhere good: somewhere you can relax with a lively atmosphere and good food. The BB has been spot on. Additionally, I am a coeliac and so is one of my friends who has lunches with me there. If you have a food allergy it's a brilliant place to go because you have all the information you need concerning each dish and you can therefore make the right choices. The waiting staff don't look at you as if you are from Mars when you say you need gluten free food and it just adds to the enjoyment of the occasion. I would certainly recommend it and I think friends of mine would do so too.

  • Great Find in Covent Garden

The Boulevard Brasserie was a great find. I have lived in London for more than 10 years and have visited Covent Garden many times to go to the theatre and I have walked past the restaurant on many ocassions, but never gone in. I am pleased that through OpenTable we decided to go there. The waiting staff were lovely, smiley and polite. We were seated at our table speedily and were able to order drinks quickly. Our waitress was on hand to answer any questions we might have. The menu was diverse enough but not too large, something for everyone. The food came out in good time and it was delicious, I could not fault it. I would highly recommend the restaurant for dinner and will be happy to go there again.

Although our waiter knew we were eating pre-theatre, we waited over an hour for our main course and watched many other tables who came in after us being served. Left the restaurant still chewing food to run to the theatre. We had several apologies and an excuse that the waiter was new, but no reduction in the bill. This was a special birthday outing so we were very disappointed. Otherwise the food was probably good but we were too stressed to enjoy it.
