Salmon fishcakes were off so had a very poor onion soup. However we had a very good bleu tuna steak.Sitting downstairs after moving from one table under a cold draft was not very atmospheric.Good value with offer but ask to be seated on the banquettes on the ground floor.

The food is absolutely delicious; I would happily pay a lot more than I did for the same meal. the portions are generous, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. Nobody from our large party had any complaints about the food. I have dined here on several occasions and the standard has always been high. Perfect setting and ambiance, accurately described as 'authentically Parisian" by one of the diners. Great wine, great service. great night. Would absolutely recommend.

This was the least enjoyable meal I have had at this restaurant. The food was somewhat overcooked and the service was very slow. As this was a pre-theatre meal this left us rushing at the last minute which is not what one desires on a night out.

Food was excellent, service was friendly and attentive. Only thing that let it down was that the meals took a little while to come out and the restaurant was quite quiet so, had it been busy, it might have taken some time.

Service not very good".....had to ask for drink after 10 mins sitting waiting in hope. Wrong drinks then served. Waited an eternity for the food which was at best bland this on a Sunday afternoon when not that busy. Bill then presented all incorrect....would not recommend this establishment at all.

Went to this restaurant with a group of 10. To be fair, I originally booked for 8 and the restaurant accommodated 10 at the last minute - so hats off to them. One of the only restaurants in the area who didn't want me to secure the booking with a credit card - again, good policy which was why I'd chosen it. The food is very average (I've been here 3 or 4 times just because it's easy with lots of choice [though not a lot for veggies] and a nice atmosphere). Two of us sent our roast dinners back because the beef was cold (the meat was also too rare but the staff said it was supposed to be) - we swapped for chicken which came out hot. Waiting staff were attentive and friendly but food was more memorable for being bland than good.

Great value set menu. We were a party of 5 and there was an effort to bring our food out together however that said there was a long delay between courses. The chocolate tart is lovely but would be better with icecream than cream.

Very relaxed feel to the place despite being a busy Saturday evening, we had the pre theatre menu which was flavoursome and diverse. My girlfriend and I can recommend the foi gras starter, pork chop and confit of duck main. We staff were both very pleasent and respectful that we had a show to catch and we ate and payed within plenty of time. Only down point was that we were seated under the ceiling fan and began to feel somewhat chilly by the end of the meal. I'd highly recomment to friends and family.

We went for a pre-theatre meal and really enjoyed the experience. A little close the the people either side of us but it didn't matter as the surroundings, food and service were so lovely.. Will definitely go again. If we hadn't booked the theatre, we would have been tempted to stay longer.

Booked the 50% offer off food; the table we were shown was next to the door and the service station, although they were 4 free tables that were not used during our dinner. Starters were good, we ordered the moules and the brie with filo. Mains were battered fish and pasta with sea food, and this is where we were a bit disappointed, fish was uniteresting and the pasta too oily. The wine options were good and the we enjoyed that. Am sceptical about giving another shot at the place, if am paying full price.

There is a special pre-theatre meal available through Opentable. Unlike many such menus, there was a reasonably wide choce of dishes, and the dishes themselves were all excellently cooked. I had confit of duck for my main course, which can sometimes be a bit dry, but here was juicy and succulent. It is of the essence of a pre-theatre meal that the food comes quickly, and this it did.

Once again, a very enjoyable meal at the Boulevard Brasserie. I have been here a few times now and it never disappoints; the menu is varied enough for most tastes, the service is amiable and prompt. The starters are particularly good, with one of my friends in complete raptures over the Brie in filo pastry! One odd thing was the inclusion of Eton Mess as a dessert, in this very French restaurant - I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have a VERY sweet tooth; stick to the things they can do well, such as the creme brulee. The cocktails are good; the French revolution is a great aperitif and the espresso martini was a fabulous "digestif".

Boulevard Brasserie met our needs - 2 retirees and a teenager - being in Covent Garden and providing a pleasant and relaxing environment in which to talk. We arrived on a wet Monday lunchtime. Not many diners, almost certainly reflecting the weather and the day, and hence not the usual level of pleasant background conversation and chatter expected in a brasserie. Combined with plain decor, scores down on ambience. This was more than made up for however by considered, attentive service and food that surpassed the simple menu descriptions. A real effort had been made in the kitchen. Good selection of traditional French brasserie favourites. Onion soup and boeuf bourguignon both nicely executed, with evident care and pride in the result. Piping hot, as they should be. We had booked with the 50% offer and this was included in the bill without the need for any request.

We were shown to a delightful table by the window so that we could watch the excitement of the evening go by. We were given Kir Royal champagne cocktails on the house as they knew it was my birthday. Both waiters who served us were charming and really made us feel welcome and special. On the arrival of the dessert; in which they had placed a lighted candle; they sang Happy Birthday. This has definitely gone to the top of our list of favourite restaurants. Thank you.

Second visit to this restaurant (the first was in a group of 6). This visit was mid-week at lunchtime and far less crowded which made conversation easier for us oldies! We returned to this restaurant which was a positive experience. Had salmon fishcake as a starter and lemon sole for main, which was both prepared perfectly and tasted lovely. Our waiters Alixandra and Abdel both did an excellent job, and we were served a Kir Royal on the House to celebrate my birthday, which made the evening even more special. Would recommend it for romantic dinner or catch up time with friends and family.
