We had a delicious business lunch
for a mere £15.50 plus wine plus coffee. Service was very good and the atmosphere relaxed. I have dined at Bradley's several times during the past year and have always been very satisfied with their offering. It is a particularly useful restaurant pre - theatre, if you are going to a show at the Hampstead Theatre. Bradley's start dinner early and know that you must finish the whole meal before curtain up."

Enjoyed a 3 course set menu prior
to attending the theatre. Atmosphere is causally elegant and the food and service was excellent."

Bradley's was excellent, as
always. Hardly ever have the pre theatre because the alc is so much more interesting, they are now opening earlier which gives more time before a thestre. Have also been just for dinner, well worth it, particularly if one has to catch a train from Euston or St P Home baked breads are an added bonus. What a pity there is no longer a decent theatre nearby, but that has deteriorated so much."

Even though Bradley's is an
upscale location, we attended with our two children and the maître d' arranged for children friendly meals. A very good start. Each and every course was excellent in both presentation and flavor. The service throughout was professional and friendly. In terms of cost, it was a little on the high end but given the food and service, we will be returning. Absolutely excellent food and worth every penny. The best meal that I have enjoyed in quite a while."
dined on 21/06/2014
we had yet another enjoyable
evening at Bradleys. The food was very good, service excellent."
dined on 18/06/2014
Fabulous meal and great wines,
would definitely recommend."
dined on 17/06/2014
We have previously eaten at
Bradley's and known it to be a very good restaurant aspiring to be something more than the run of the mill NW London variety. Whilst the food and wine were up to standard sadly the service was not. The young staff members were so uptight they were almost rude as they served us in stony silence. When a knife slipped and through a chain reaction break a glass of wine and inundate my father there wasn't a 'sorry' or acknowledgement of fault until we complained and got the head waiter involved. He proceeded to fix and smooth all - I can't recommend him enough. So go for a good meal, fine wine and if you get the more experienced waiter, great service."
dined on 15/06/2014
We visited Bradley's to meet
relations for a Saturday evening meal. The experience was not as good as previously. Usually, we have the pre or post-theatre meal and food is good and service efficient. This time, our waiter was not proficient and had to be asked frequently for wine, water, bread etc. and he completely forgot to bring petits fours with our coffee. The menu had changed since our last visit and we did not find it as interesting or enjoyable. Things need to be changed to get back to the original high standard."
dined on 14/06/2014
The food and service here are
exceptional. Always a varied menu with ingredients that make you think "How am I going to choose between all these dishes?" I have only a minor gripe - I wish it were busier to create a more buzzing atmosphere. If this was in Soho or somewhere with regular footfall, it would be the talk of the town and queues round the block. As it is, it's a secret gem where you can have amazing food with excellent service. Highly recommended."
dined on 11/06/2014
Sunday lunch here with my two
grown up children, neither of whom eat meat but they do eat fish. Set Sunday lunch menu included two fish dishes and the food and service were very good. It was my Sons 23rd birthday and they presented him with a lovely decorated plate of chocolates. We go here about 4 times a year and I would highly recommend it."
dined on 01/06/2014
Not just a meal; an evening out.
The service was slightly slow, but the quality of the food, the cooking and the value more than made up for that."
dined on 30/05/2014
Another delightful evening -
Bradley's has that old fashioned and increasingly rare quality of knowing what it wants to do and doing it really well. Excellent staff, professional yet friendly, lovely ambiance and great food. Love the tables by the small garden. Perfect for pre or post theatre dinner for Hampstead theatre. Classy."
dined on 17/05/2014
Delicious food, prepared with
care. Some unusual choices, a good variety of fresh vegetables, all very tasty. Pleasant, helpful staff, a cosy and friendly ambience."
dined on 10/05/2014
Solid French food at a reasonable
price. Very relaxing on a Friday night, didn't feel rushed at all. We chose from the a la carte menu but the set menu for a pre-theatre meal looked good as well. We must have missed the theatre crowd as it wasn't too busy when we ate, which gave it a nice intimate feel. We have walked past it on a Sunday lunch time and it has been packed, so it is obviously well liked by a lot of people in the area!"
dined on 09/05/2014
This was the first time I had
visited Bradleys at lunch time, and it was just as good as at the evening, very busy, bit a bit noisy. "
dined on 07/05/2014
Situated just one minute's walk
from Hampstead Theatre, this is a delightful experience. The excellent food is enhanced by good service, and a very pleasant ambience. Well not cheap, it represents extremely good value for money."
dined on 03/05/2014
Bradleys is just around the corner
from Hampstead theatre, in Winchester Road. The chef owns the restaurant and the standard of cooking is very high. They offer a 2 or 3 course pre/post theatre menu for £15.75 and £19.75. It was my first visit and I loved it, will definitely return"
dined on 17/04/2014
Spotlessly clean,very professional
and an oasis near the theatre. The set menu had plenty of choice all of which looked very appetising. Large selection of quality wines.Attentive but not pushy staff.. Set menu plus a drink around £30pp."
dined on 17/04/2014
We went to Bradley's in Swiss
Cottage before going to the Hampstead Theatre and had their pre-theatre menu which was excellent and very good value. I had the pea and asparagus soup which was smooth and delicious, and the cod which was thick and tasty. Their sorbets must be the best in London. It's worth going here just for the desserts. Try the blood orange or the rose and raspberry sorbet--really out of this world! We had an excellent meal and a lovely time. The waiters are very good."
dined on 16/04/2014
Every time I come to the UK I have
to have dinner. At Bradley's. The food is excellent and so is the ambiance. Highly recommend."
dined on 14/04/2014
Excellent food; our starters were
oysters, fresh and delicious and red and yellow beetroot with goat curd, unusual and surprisingly tasty. Mains were fish, turbot was a generous sized tranche and fish of the day, a whole lemon sole on the bone, was cooked to perfection. An interesting extra side was the grilled cauliflower chimichanga, a spicy way to perk up that veggie. A great little local find, located slightly off the beaten track, but full on a Friday night so obviously discovered by many people."
dined on 11/04/2014
It has only been a couple of weeks
since my last visit, this time for a pre-theatre meal with a friend. The set menu was interesting and varied, especially for its very reasonable price, and the food was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive and I particularly noticed the calm and patient way the staff dealt with a fairly loud and completely unnecessary complaint from a nearby table. Even at this early hour, the ambience was welcoming and there were plenty of people in. Bradleys is set to become a regular on my list - in fact I have already planned the next meal with a larger group of friends who are really quite demanding!"
dined on 11/04/2014
Have eaten there a number of times
and enjoyed each time. They are very helpful & understanding with my food allergy. Last visit the dessert was wonderful - rose sorbet with other wonderful flavours - well worth paying the extra for 3 courses! Their fixed price menus are good value - but I wish they'd change the Prix Fixe menu occasionally as the escalope Holstein is OK but not what one always wants if the post-theatre menu is not right for my problem."
dined on 09/04/2014
Almost not worth telling the world
about it, as I may not find a table when I need one!! The food is creative and delicious and the à la carte prices correspond. However they have a set menu which is absolutely affordable! Now that the Hampstead Theatre has become amongst the best of the theatres in London, this restaurant is full every day with pre-theatre diners, so booking is a must! I must not leave out the service which is first class too!"
dined on 07/04/2014
Good food and good value but the
restaurant was very empty at lunch time on a Monday"
dined on 07/04/2014
Best value for money restaurant I
have ever visited in London. Amazing food presented wonderfully, cozy atmosphere, great service, friendly and welcoming staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely be visiting again soon! From the main dishes, I would highly recommend the rabbit while the chef's own chocolate production is mouth watering."
dined on 04/04/2014
The food was excellent, the decor
and ambience were pleasant. The only diasappointing thing was although the service was prompt, the staff definitely thought they were superior to their clientele."
dined on 04/04/2014
We always go to Bradley's when we
go to Hampstead Theatre. The quality of the food and service is always fabulous and they're very geared up for the pre-theatre rush. I would definitely recommend to friends. My only regret is that we don't live closer to try Bradley's when we're not in a hurry."
dined on 03/04/2014
Bradleys is a little tucked away,
but worth finding in its slightly unlikely Swiss Cottage setting. My most recent experience, last week, for Mothering Sunday was delightful. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and furnished with a small courtyard to the back which adds ambience. The seating allows for families and others to eat in discrete groupings so they don't disturb each other. The staff are friendly and attentive (except for paying at the end which was slow - this is so common in most restaurants now - why?) but not intrusive - a very good balance. Most importantly, the food, an extensive set menu with excellent choices, was varied, well presented and delicious."
dined on 30/03/2014
One of the few places in London
where you can have a three-course prix-fixe menu for under £28. What is more: lots of "extras" like amuse-bouches, a gorgeous selection of bread, which they kept offering us, and then a quad of delicious petit-fours were all gratis and home-made. I had baby artichoke with a punchy sun-blushed tomato & olive salad, he had scallops teamed with boned chicken wings - these disappeared with a smacking of lips. My selection of fish fillets on courgette "spaghetti" with samphire was light and well flavoured, he declared his lamb-rack perfect having ordered it "pink". Blood-orange sorbet was a stunning-coloured refreshing hit of flavour whilst his chocolate pave was a rich mousse-like slice of cocoa-heaven"
dined on 29/03/2014
Went to Bradley's before the
theatre on the recommendation of a friend. The fixed price menu was excellent value and the food really good. Service friendly, helpful and attentive without being over bearing. Dishes on the menu were altered to meet the needs of one of the diners who can't tolerate too much cream and dairy - this wasn't a problem and the staff suggested dishes that would be suitable. I would certainly recommend Bradley's to friends and will be going again."
dined on 28/03/2014
Bradley's know about pre-theatre
deadlines; they're geared up to get you on your way. But the dining experience is also good, and the special lunchtime and pre-theatre menu is good value. This is a great place to know."
dined on 27/03/2014
Very good food, very good service,
very pleasant atmosphere - all round an enjoyable experience. Thanks"
dined on 24/03/2014
AGAIN - A TRULY LOVELY MEAL AT
BRADLEYS PRE-THEATRE MENU WELL CHOSEN AND PRESENTED. GOOD HOUSE WINE WITH EXCELLENT CONVIVIAL SERVICE"
dined on 21/03/2014
Excellent three course pre theatre
dinner, rapidly and pleasantly served. Delicious rump of lamb cooked to perfection - seared on the outside, pink on the inside, full of flavour. Good wine by the glass, delightful pear tart alsacienne."
dined on 19/03/2014
An excellent Sunday lunch- the
beef I had and the lamb my wife chose were beautifully cooked and presented. These dishes followed a delicious fish soup"
dined on 16/03/2014
The pre-theatre menu must be one
of the best value deals in town and its so close to the Hampstead Theatre that it almost counts as an in-house eatery. The food is always excellently prepared and presented. The strength of the restaurant is definitely the seafood and the pollock was done perfectly that evening. Good selection of wines, wonderful fresh baked bread and friendly service. What more can you ask for?"
dined on 13/03/2014
We dined at Bradley's near Swiss
Cottage before going to the Hampstead Theatre. The choices were excellent, and there is a very good pre-theatre menu. I had the oysters, which were delicious and the asparagus followed by the most delicious sorbet dessert--try the combination of lemon, blood orange and strawberry and you'll want to go back the next day to have them again. They really taste like fruit. Service is terrific. All in all, a great choice."
dined on 11/03/2014
this is my usual pre-Hampstead
theatre place. and it never disappoints. great food, great service."
dined on 11/03/2014
My partner and I selected from a
very reasonable fixed price menu. Very well chosen range of food in the three available options for each course. Size perfect. Came with a selection of outstanding home made breads. The restaurant was fully booked pre theatre. The service was prompt, attentive, personable without being intrusive. Lovely atmosphere. Intimate and classy."
