A word from Bread Street Kitchen
A lively and exciting new restaurant and bar from the team at Gordon Ramsay restaurants and the home to a relaxed dining experience set in a large warehouse style space, drawing inspiration from the East London aesthetic that surrounds it. At the heart of the Bread Street Kitchen offering is an informal approach to dining. Guests can meet, eat and drink from early morning until late at night. Underpinned by great service and a menu that includes a raw bar, a wood burning oven and dishes from the lively open kitchen. Guests will also be able to take in the incredible wine balcony which will stretch along the walls of the kitchen holding no less than 2000 bottles of wine. Open from breakfast the all day restaurant offers an extensive wine and bespoke cocktail list alongside a seasonal menu. Diners can enjoy a lazy sit down over a cider braised pork collar and king crab cocktail or grab a quick ceviche of salmon with grapefruit, jalapeño lime and coriander at the more relaxed Raw Bar.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Great food, wonderful ambience, I'm a big fan of this kind of place anyway, especially the décor. Plenty of friendly staff on hand, so someone was always able to spot if something was needed, or a drink topped up."
    dined on 22/07/2014
  • "There is something about a cover charge which I object to. What is it for? It is the two rolls of bread which are put in front of you or to have the privilege of being given cutlery and crockery to eat with. Bread St Kitchen is not a cheap place so why do they have to apply a cover charge? Also, I know the name is becuase it is on Bread St, but why not use it to your advantage and have some amazing breads on the menu! Just a suggestion.... Moan over. The best thing about this place is that the service is super quick. Perfect if you want to have lunch within an hour. Avoid the wine. Poor selection. Screw top wine quality (ok, as you asked, I am referring to the Chapel Down Reserve)"

  • "Fantastic ambience - lovely food - superb service - awful acoustics - but we will return some day."
    dined on 17/07/2014
  • "This is not worth it! So many people with bad acoustics means you almost have to shout. Prices are very high compared to what you get - we will not come back. Our waiter did not give us bread, and we had to remind her of our second drinks ordering, as we only got half of what we had ordered!"
    dined on 16/07/2014
  • "Perfect for business meetings as tables have plenty of space so you don't feel disturbed by neighbouring chat. Food was very tasty and service very fast and friendly. Strongly recommended."

  • "It was our second time at Bread Street, and again we were very well pleased. We loved the atmosphere there, the professional welcoming and outstanding service. The food was overall very good and tastefull, well served. We certainly will come back (October this year) and I did recommend it to a good friend of me, who will come with her family next month."
    dined on 12/07/2014
  • "Though the atmosphere and food presentation and flavors were amazing, the services was lacking and sporadic."
    dined on 12/07/2014
  • "Always a good option for taking clients to, as the choice on the menu caters for most people. The food is well cooked and tasty."

  • "Decent food in nice industrial type surroundings - would happily go there again. Burgers were good..."
    dined on 10/07/2014
  • "Poor service - we had to keep calling the waiter over. I had to keep reminding them to bring our drinks out. Very frustrating when you're trying to have a business meeting. Menu not all that great. not what i would have expected from a ramsay restaurant"
    dined on 10/07/2014
  • "I was excited to try this Gordon Ramsay-owned restaurant and expected very good food and a very good restaurant experience. The ingredients were good and well prepared, but did not knock my socks off. In particular, I found that the flavours of the dishes were very simple -- sweet or salty or sour or rich, but no combinations. The service was OK, though the waitress gave off a slight attitude. The décor was fine but the music and general noise level was way too high. It was a fine experience, but I would not rush back."
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "Love this place. Can't wait to go back. The food was brilliant, service great and great ambiance. Much bigger place than I expected it to be the decore was very cool."
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "Lively and buzzy atmosphere ... which is good and bad. Good for a friendly lunch or dinner but bad for a business lunch as it's too noisy to hear what's being said."
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "Not as thrilled as the first time we ate at Bread Street Kitchen. The staff were very rushed and even the food did not seem as special as on our first visit."

  • "We visited London to celebrate my partners birthday. After looking at the dining options available to us for a special lunch I chose Bread Street Kitchen, this did not disappoint. The location, building, service and food were all top class. I have eaten in many places and this restaurant is up there with the best. There is no doubt the next time we visit London, we will be calling in to sample more of this fantastic cuisine."

  • "Service impeccable, menu well judged, food fab. I will return."

  • "The breakfast menu is good and at a good price, food was nice for an early morning business meeting."
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "I knew this was a Gordon Ramsey restaurant so expected it to be pricey but I don't feel I got my money's worth. The food was delicious, but the service was a little poor, with the waiters and waitresses looking a bit pissed off to be there and not smiling much. We weren't really made to feel like valued customers paying lots of money. My pork belly came just as meat, which was delicious, but meant I had to spend an extra £4 on a small bowl of chips to go with it which I thought was a bit naughty. This was a business meal but one of the more expensive ones I have had and by no means was it the best, sadly."
    dined on 01/07/2014
  • "This place can't really decide what it wants to be - the cavernous interior and setting within the bowels of One New Change hint at something special but the menu and service leave you feeling a bit flat. It doesn't help when, despite the place being no more than three quarters full, my guest and I were sat at the absolute back of the restaurant and struggled to attract the waitress' eye as a result. All in all, somewhat disappointing (although it is excellent value for money)."
    dined on 01/07/2014
  • "It is hard to find fault with anything with this restaurant. The knowledge of the waiters is impeccable, the industrial decor is in great taste, the wine list is extensive and the food is simply a sumptuous experience, each creation subtly making the best use of every ingredient's taste without letting it overpower anything else in the dish, in inventions that are characterized by a crisp modern take on classic mainstays of British and Italian cuisine. A great option for any occasion, really."

  • "Especially the lamb shank was great, and our kids enjoyed the kids menu"
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "After having a fantastic experience one year ago, it was rather disappointing this time. Food was average and service was uninspired. It was like no cared anymore. Won't be back again."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "We went to the Bread Kitchen for dinner. The design of the restaurant is Art Deco meets industrial design, the place is huge but still has a buzzy atmosphere. Service was great and we really enjoyed the food (flatbread was amazing as was the steamed sea bream). Would definitely recommend."
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "My experience with this restaurant was outstanding! I had the braised lamb and it's in my top 5 list! Everyone in my party was really pleased with our evening. Everything from how the place looks (which is fabulous) to the service and food was amazing. Thank you for a great evening!"
    dined on 22/06/2014
  • "Nice spot for a weekend brunch. £15-18 per person including beverage. Strongly recommend the ambience and the quality of the food"
    dined on 22/06/2014
  • "Started out with a cocktail at the bar, fantastic atmosphere cozy and relaxed. After cocktails were we guided up to 1. floor, where a steampunk/ industrial room met our eyes. Even though it was so big, it still seemed small and cozy without being noisy and loud. As for the service and the food i have nothing more to add, but do your self the pleasure of ordering a table, sit back, relax, eat, drink and enjoy your company while being taken care of in a professional and still down to earth kinda way! would do it again thanks guys!"
    dined on 21/06/2014

  • "I have been here three times and I love it every time. I've been lucky to try it different days. I went on a Friday night and really enjoyed the liveliness of the restaurant for young people and the waiters and waitresses were really fun and lovely. The food here is so good and a great wine list. It is pricey but you expect it to be. I really like the cocktail bar. My boyfriend was really drunk and a bit too chatty with everyone but the staff were actually really nice to us. They could have easily been snobby! I would definitely recommend this place. As it's so huge, you can usually get a table at last minute. Everywhere around this area is usually fully booked."

  • "The starters were only ok, scallops tasteless. Main course was to be fair good on the whole, 4 out of the five in my group had lovely meals, the steak and duck in particular. The desserts were nice but expected better. Thought the price was high for what we got. Service was very good, friendly and helpful."
    dined on 20/06/2014
  • "The décor and design of Bread Street Kitchen is fabulous. The food almost meets up to this first impression. I had the asparagus soup to start which was delicious, followed by the Sea Trout which was lovely bar the fact that the broth was a little oily. The chips were quite simply the best I've ever had. Dessert was the banana sticky toffee pudding which was divine. The venison sausages were a hit with others at the table, as was the burger. Service was good but not overly attentive given the price. Value for money was okay but then we didn't expect it to be cheap given the GR name. I went for a social business lunch for which it was perfect, it would be too noisy to do actual business."
    dined on 18/06/2014
  • "Went to Bread St Kitchen for a business lunch. Good atmosphere without being too noisy. Service was quick. We both had a fish dish and they were cooked perfectly."
    dined on 18/06/2014
  • "We had a good meal in Bread Street Kitchen, but the cavernous room is just so noisy! The menu is a mixture of gastropub staples, and they push their red meat/steaks although we didn't have any. Good for the area, but not sure I'd make a special trip here"
    dined on 17/06/2014
  • "Busy, buzzing atmosphere. Well executed food and efficient service. Espresso not very hot."
    dined on 17/06/2014
  • "The food does not live up to the amazing ambience. Great dining experience but NOT for the food, food is average and overpriced. Go for a cocktail just to feel the vibe but not for a full meal!"
    dined on 16/06/2014
  • "A very nice looking restaurant. Nice service but the food, there we expected more. One of the kids even got a hair in the food (!). That kids food we got for free but we weren't offered to get new food, we just removed the potatoe wedge with the hair and the waitress told the supervisor who came out and apologized. I think we should have been offered new food (the same one, from kids menue) for her."
    dined on 15/06/2014
  • "The only thing that let's this restaurant down is the baby change facilities. Staff recommended we use the mall changing room but the table is so small that I found it very tricky with a wiggly baby! Otherwise I love this place"
    dined on 15/06/2014
  • "This was our first experience at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants; we were travelling to London for part of our honeymoon and wanted a special meal. The atmosphere and decor were exactly what we were looking for; upscale but not stuffy and overly formal. Once the food came, it was absolutely average; I can grill a better steak at home. The wine were the best part of the meal. I was not overly impressed with the bill when it came either. Knowing what to expect beforehand, I was not surprised, but when I considered the quality and portions received, I felt I could have gone to a chain restaurant and got a superior meal at 1/4 or 1/5 of the cost and left much more satisfied. Overall. was good to try but will not go again."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "The ambiance was excellent as was the food. The location is stunning."

  • "Excellent meal, thank you. However, I must admit I have just had this form kicked back because the review needs to be at least 50 chars long and I must confess to this being irksome, hence why I'm writing to let you know here."
