A word from Brew Wharf
Welcome to BREW WHARF...the restaurant and bar with its own brewery. Created by award winning (Michelin, Carlton, Time-Out) restaurateur Claudio Pulze, the food and service are paramount but with the wonderful opportunity to offer great beers from around the world. 'The restaurant's approach is direct, authentic and straightforward,' according to Nick Lander, FT, 10.12.05.

Brew Wharf is located under three massive railway arches, giving it space that is hard to find in London restaurants. Plus we have an outside terrace which can be enjoyed during warmer days.

I've been to Brew Wharf before and generally liked it. It's attached to the Vivat Bacchus in London Bridge and have good beer and wine collection. However, service this time was lacking for sure. We were there from 7.30 with a full restaurant and there seemed only to be one waitress working the full room. She was friendly enough, however, we asked some questions about the food menu that she didn't know the answers to, and service was generally slow. Food took almost an hour to arrive. They were ok quality but my lamb shoulders were rather salty. Would probably not come back to this restaurant in future.

Food was good. The bar area was packed, but the dining area was practically empty. At the start of the meal you wonder why the dining area is so empty. The food was good, service was fine, but the ambience just lacked a certain buzz. A few more dinners and it would have been fine. You would think they can attract more diners in as the place is fundamentally good. Not amazing, but good.

Had a very poor dining experience. Service is poor despite a 12.5% service fee. Food came in shockingly small portions and not a good value. My order of seafood stew was portioned similar to an appetizer. It came with a stingy 3 pieces of likely store-bought bread. The pork my wife had was more ample, however the chef managed to dry out a slice of pork belly. The service was also terrible. The staff spilled beer all over the table as well as myself. Accidents happen, however she initially did nothing to help clean. Not only did I use my own napkin to clean, I had to stop her as she was walking away to get a new one and ask for her to clean up the stickiness left on the table. Rest of the staff were comparable in service.

The food was good although possibly slightly over priced. However servings were reasonably sized and came with decent accompaniments. A nice beer list including low/no alcohol and gluten free But service was very slow - despite our telling them were eating pre theatre.

    Dined on 1/2/2014
We went with a group of 8. The staff were great when a few of our group were late and the beer, and subsequent food, made the loss at rugby (being shown on a massive screen) much less painful. The lamb fell off the bone; the chicken was packed full of flavour; the cheese platter was perhaps the largest I have seen (excellent value for money) ... and the beer was great. We are fans of the Wine Wharf too, but had not had dinner at Brew Wharf before. I would most certainly go again. The only slight downside was the price of the beer ... the home-brew pints were normal London prices but the bottles were a little steep. Its all good quality but still...

I have dined at this establishment twice and was looking forward to my third experience. However, I was let down by the dry, over cooked chicken with morels - I couldn't find any morels on the plate. My husband's steak was tough, and the 'peppercorn' sauce has no detectable flavour of pepper but some undefinable creamy sauce is what we got. Our friend's sausages were very burnt, not caramelised but blackened and in edible. Lastly, I ordered the tempura soft shell crab, to stat, the batter was thick and soggy and the crab was undercooked in the middle. Very poor standard of food on Saturday. The service staff were excellent.

Brew Wharf isn't especially atmospheric and when compared to the buzz of Vinopolis in which it is adjoined, appears even less so. That said, the staff are friendly, the food okay and there is a good wine list. It's okay but given the competition of so many cool ambient environments doing interesting tasty food in its neighbourhood, not the first choice.

Really poor service! Had to ask twice for a drinks menu, ask again for them to take the drinks order. Food took over an hour with no apology and we had to ask (again) when it was coming. There were over 4 people attending our table which obviously got confusing as they twice they brought the wrong thing (bringing 2 beers instead one, getting dessert order wrong). They started deep cleaning the restaurant before everyone had left (it was only 11 pm in central London!?) To top it off, their attitude when we mentioned about the service was really poor. No apology, they just didn't seem to care. Really uncomfortable atmosphere and experience. There are too many other great restaurants in London to waste an evening here again!

Food was good. However, the waitress insisted that the cheese platter was really only a enough for one (when my friend and I wanted to share), so on her advice we got a dessert PLUS the cheese platter only to be served a MASSIVE plate of cheese alongside our dessert. It was all very nice, but not so sure why the waitress was so insistent that it wouldn't be enough for two!

Went to Brew Wharf for a mid-week, half-term lunch. Only three or four other diners - though you can imagine this place is more than lively at the end of the week or evenings. Many own brew beers (had the great London Lager). One Caesar salad - and great steak, haddock & chips and salmon fishcakes, each served with their own appropriate style of fries (wedges, chip-shop, string fries). May sound over-sophisticated, but actually felt like great care and attention. Great meal, great service, great value for lunch. Recommended!

The focus of the Brew House seems to be more drinks than food, but it's lively enough for post-work drinks and some decent food to go with it. House specials such as fresh pasta and a good wine list (of course!) can be enjoyed outside on milder evenings and inside during the Autumn/Winter. Not a bad option in this lively area.

Booked this for a group meal to celebrate birthday, and was appealed by steak menu. Venue is nice, didn't realise it was part of Vinopolis, which I think makes up for the average meal had. Soft shell crab was rather large, which you then realise its an old crab and not the nicest to eat all of. Lamb steaks were chewy, beef steak over cooked but a wonderful piece of meat. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would go back for the cheaper lunch deal, but that's all.

I went to the Brewhouse for a business meeting. The bar area was quite buzzy, however the dining room was very quiet. Despite a large number of available tables we were placed on a table for 2 (that just about holds your plate sort of table for two). The food was quite good. The starters of prawns sounded really good on the menu and they were good but you had to peel your own which I don't like so much. The main course of steak was good but nothing exceptional. Combined with a nice bottle of red wine the total bill for 2 having 2 courses was £86.

I went along with three colleagues and had expected more opulence than was presented however the ambience was fitting for dining with colleages and although we were the first in the restaurant which was worrying it did start to fill up. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had the chicken which was lovely. Be warned that the garlic chilli prawn starter comes with heads. It was a nice meal enjoyed by all and I would recommend dropping by for a bite. The sparkling Rose was lovely too.

A great fish supper or burger meal to be had especially if you are visiting Vinopolis for wine tasting and comedy later. Service is quick and fast - so you wont be delayed. The beers are nice as well in the bar section whilst waiting for friends. It is noisy in the bar to chat though being a popular location. However, the table area was a lot quieter. Sat outside under the umbrellas, nice and open good choice between sun and shade. Service was excellent, very attentive but not overpowering. Shame that the food didn't match up. I had Thai fishcakes. No detectable taste of lemongrass, corriander, garlic no spring onions, chilli or garlic. Served with sweet Thai Chilli sauce which added some flavour to a bland option. My colleague had prawns which "looked" really good. 4 prawns with bread - good light lunch or snack option.

The food was of very good quality. We chose a combination from both the bar menu and the restaurant one - but decided to eat outside as the weather was so hot. Also, that early in the evening there was absolutely no one at all in the restaurant inside and it had a horrible warehouse feeling - and not in a good way. What let the place down big time tho was the toilets. Yes you expect an industrial kind of feel, but look after them! Even tho it wasn't busy yet (5:30 for 6pm), even the after work Friday crowd had yet to fill the bar area, the floors of EVERY cubicle was covered in toilet rolls, toilet paper and what I hope was water. Yes I will give it another chance as the food was so good, but please, improve your cleanliness!

We went to Brew Wharf because some friends of mine were visiting London. We enjoyed it, though three of the four meals were very small. The other main was the pie of the day, which was huge. I wish all of the meals would have been more medium-sized. It's hard to know what to expect. All the food was very good, however. I ate the salmon with fresh greens and it was very tasty. We also really enjoyed the desert, chocolate tart!
