A word from Brompton Quarter Brasserie
Founded in 2006, Brompton Quarter Brasserie, set in London’s trendy Knightsbridge, is a stylish eatery with great quality food, equally loved by its local clientele as well as passing tourists. Owners, Valeria and Doron Zilkha, are deeply committed to providing their customers with an environment of warmth, where they can enjoy beautiful food, prepared with the freshest, most sustainably sourced ingredients. The Head Chef, Mahrez Loukal, was apprentice to the famous French chef Alain Ducasse and has grown through iconic restaurants like Bibendum, Quaglino’s and Harvey Nichols 5th Floor. He is an exceptional talent in artistry and culinary skill offers a menu of amazing variety, including a crustacean section, inspired by the colourful abundance of the Mediterranean. The wine menu is specially designed to complement Mahrez’s exceptional food and, in line with the Zilkhas belief in rebuilding the bridges between producer and consumer, promotes a number of organic and biodynamic wines.

I can't really rate this place fairly, seeing as when my friend and I strolled over to the restaurant to find it closed for refurbishment! I had made the booking several weeks beforehand and even received a reminder email from Toptable the day before...nice of them to let us know! With so many other nice eateries in the area, I won't bother to try it again.

Those servers on the floor are great but the cooking staff are way too slow. While we waited 50 minutes for our eggs, two other tables complained about how long does it take to cook an egg, literally. When the food finally did arrive, it was delicious.

Was disappointed that the menu had changed - no more wider selection of salads on display to chose from. No more cakes on display to chose from either! Restaurant manager looked grumpy and did not seem to approve when we asked for just table water to go with our lunch. So instead of having our deesert there, we left and had it somewhere else. No wonder the restaurant was so empty - I didn't need to book a table at all! Such a shame, the place was much better when I was last there about a year ago. I enjoyed the more free & easy lunch at their sister restaurant/cafe "Chelsea Quater" that I went to only a couple of weeks ago.

Food is excellent, location is superb, but the service is where things went down - poor spoken English is now a given in almost every restaurant in London however this went beyond that; the waitress looked like she did not want to make any effort. We have been to the restaurant twice, once over a year ago and now. The food has come on; a bit of work on the service is what is required.

Good food, well cooked and nicely presented but the service totally ruined the evening for us. With only one member of staff who would make eye contact with us it was quite difficult to feel like a valued customer - especially when we weren't even addressed or acknowledged while paying the sizeable bill!

I had a late dinner at Brompton Quarter Brasserie with seven girlfriends. The food was brilliant and we had a great time. The waitress was a bit slow bringing out the wine and forgot to include a side dish, but still good.

Exceptionally quiet for an 8pm booking on a Friday evening and so was lacking in any atmosphere. Service was accurate but food and drinks were slow to arrive. Mussel starter was completely bland and lobster fishcakes lacked lobster and were overly salty. Risotto was a bowl of stodgy rice completely lacking in flavour. Fresh mint tea was a success however the bill for five people was a whopping £320 for five completely non-descript starters and mains and two bottles of £40 wine. The added insult was the almost £40 tip which was included for service that didn't justify such a gratuity. Disappointed in what we thought was a buzzy bistro and looks good from the exterior.

My martini was served in a glass with lipstick all around the edge (and was also not well-mixed, even on the second try). The duck salad was good, although served pre-dressed, with perhaps too much dressing. My date enjoyed her penne with marinara sauce. No difficulty getting a table on a Saturday night at 7:30 PM - virtually all tables were available. Our first server did not understand my American accent, and was replaced by another server who as polite and attentive.

This is the second time I have been to Brompton Quarter in the last week and both times the service has been excellent. The food is pretty good too. I was particularly impressed that they gave me a small portion of tagliatelle. The option for small portions is great and something which is too rare in the UK.

Somewhere Different We wanted a lateish lunch not too far from Harrods - to celebrate our December / January birthdays with a day out and a show in London. Luckily we came across the availability of the Brompton Quarter Brasserie with a 3-course set lunch for £18.75, which proved a great find. Although the menu was a bit limited, the paté de campagne was the best I've tasted and the wine was reasonably priced. The service was very good and everyone was good humoured and friendly and made for a very pleasant atmosphere.

Restaurant was very quiet & obviously hadn't attracted late night shoppers from High Street Ken, so lacking in atmosphere. Food was good but service very disappointing for pricing/standard of establishment. Our order could not have been much easier with same starters & mains ordered but waitress had not made starters clear to kitchen & wrong starters were served. Eventually they sorted mine but meant I ate my starter about 15/20 monutes after my guest who decided to stick with what had been served.

A mid-week lunch for three found a very quiet restaurant, compared to weekends when I have found it buzzing. Service was impeccable and the food excellent - full of flavour and in generous (maybe over-generous) portions. A famous couple were also taking advantage of a quiet lunchtime to share a meal somewhere they could relax without being pestered. This restaurant is maintaining quality in all departments and I warmly recommend it.

This restaurant was very child friendly to an 8 and 9 year old. However, it wasn't overloaded with kids, they were the only ones in there at the time, so we would definitely have an "adult only" lunch there in the future. The food was all cooked to perfection, the service was friendly and efficient and The Brompton Quarter Brasserie is ideally situated as it's a few minutes walk from Harrods and Hyde Park. I would definitely recommend.

I had dinner with my boyfriend at Brompton Quarter Brasserie last week, somewhere we usually enjoy going for lunch and loved it! The atmosphere in the evening was really cosy and welcoming –The staff were attentive without being OTT. I had a delicious duck salad, followed by the grilled Swordfish, quite a taste bud fiesta! My boyfriend’s Lobster bisque and Sirloin steak were equally mouth-watering. I am a big wine buff and my partner and I really enjoyed looking at the wine list. They have really good options by the glass which we shared with our starters and then had delicious bottle of organic red with our mains. I will definitely be visiting the Brasserie for dinner, as well as lunch in future.
