  • "First of all I would like to say this is a superb restaurant, but on this occasion the service did let it down a bit, no menus and we had to wait approx half hour for one to arrive, after ordering our food the side dish we ordered never came, we reminded the waiter and he brought it 5 minutes later, Food was excellent so no problems with that, but for a restaurant of this nature a bit more attention to detail is needed"

  • "I booked a table for myself, daughter and niece. I had seen the restaurant on Celebrity Masterchef and thought this would be the perfect occasion to go there. It didnt disappoint from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Service was attentive but not pushy, the food was out of this world and for £93 we had 3 starters , 3 mains , naan bread , two beers and a cocktail! I could go on and on about how amazing it was but I won't. What I will say is you have to go there just to appreciate how amazing it is."

  • "Once again a great meal. The Original and Frankie Lamb Dosa's are delicious. Would recommend the Parsee Style Chicken curry and rice with potato and the Chicken Tikka with Tadka Daal and rice. The restaurant seating area consists of a large and smaller area where mostly couples are sat, maybe a bit to close to each other. Would have preferred the larger part of the restaurant for a bit more atmosphere. Having said that, it was still very nice to meet Cyrus again."

  • "Easy to find. Unusual menu. We choose the £35 a head taster menu. Excellent value, make sure you are hungry if you go for this or be ready to take a doggy bag home. Way too much food for us to eat, but an excellent introduction to this restaurant's menu and I'd feel confident to order next time I visit. Service was great, very attentive."

  • "The high quality of delicious and imaginative menu was as satisfying as on all visits over many years. It is always a pleasure to dine here"

  • "Booked to go after seeing the restaurant on Masterchef. The food was superb.I can easily say it was the best curry I've ever experienced, and will be returning to try more dishes off the menu. Thanks for a wonderful experience. Also loved the interior."

  • "another amazing meal at CSN...the best thing in my opinion is the constant updating of the menu as well as the range of seasonal specials on offer - means that as a relatively regular customer I can always try something new! They happily made a lightly-spiced chicken tikka with some grilled vegetables and rice for my 3 year old son which he wolfed down and is now demanding he can go back...and who am I to deny him that pleasure! Awesome."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary with Cafe Spice Namaste and what an experience it was!! The food was absolutely stunning with beautiful authentic flavours. We pride ourselves on knowing Indian food but had never experienced anything so tasty!! The staff were so friendly they couldn't do enough for you - taking the time to explain the dishes. The piece de resistance was when Cyrus and his lovely wife came up to meet us - what a lovely couple and you could hear the passion that makes his cooking so good."

  • "I booked this to have dinner with 2 old friends both prominent in public life. Like me, they were bowled over by the place, the menu, the food and the welcome from Cyrus. Thank you for a lovely evening and stunning food."

  • "My wife and I visit Cafe Spice Namaste last week and the experince couldn't have been better. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and just the right level of attentive. The food was exceptional, and far exceeded our expectations."

  • "Another fantastic meal here - a group of seven of us, we had a range of dishes and no-one was unhappy with their choices. Attentive service and a wonderful evening."
    dined on 13/08/2014
  • "I had the Dosa Starter (aka Milly Mackintosh on Masterchef) and Chicken Tikka Mains, as do most Brits when they visit an Inidan Restaurant. However the rice with this mains was heavenly and is a world above any other rice you have ever tasted. The Persherwi Naan was light and fluffy and again nothing like the fatty gloopy stuff I am used too!"
    dined on 13/08/2014
  • "I used to eat at Cafe Spice regularly when I worked nearby but had been there for about 7 months....The food was as good as ever, the difference is the place was full of customers on a Tuesday night, the service was still as good as ever"

  • "The mixed tandoori platter was interesting with dishes like beef, venison and duck. The vegetarian food was excellent."

  • "Making a menu choice in this restaurant is far too difficult, everything sounded amazing and what I did order lived up to expectations. Absolutely superb. Decor is interesting though."

  • "We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Café Spice Namaste, I requested a Birthday Cake for my husbands 55th and was a little disappointed with the bought in Tesco Special Chocolate cake that was bought to the table. With a Well known Chef owning this restaurant I would of expected them to at least for them to of tried to bake a cake themselves so that it was fresh. However that does not distract from the rest of the food which was fantastic."
    dined on 09/08/2014
  • "Four of us (two couples) dined at this restaurant. We shared taster starters and each of us had a different main course plus side dishes. With drinks the bill came to less than £40 per head. The food was beautifully cooked, delicious to taste and the portions were large enough to satisfy. It was a world away in quality from your average Indian restaurant. Service was both efficient and attentive. A real treat!"

  • "On a 3 day trip to London to celebrate a special birthday we wanted to have an Indian meal. We'd seen this restaurant on Celebrity Masterchef and decided to book. We weren't disappointed :) . The whole experience was great from the service, to the atmosphere and not forgetting the food. The chikken tikka was the most fantastic ever tasted and living near one of the curry capitals of England in West Yorkshire I've sampled plenty so this was unrivalled. The mojito cocktails were great, the pickle tray full of flavour and starters and mains to die for. If only we lived that bit nearer :). The staff were great and the complimentary pots of vegetable soup and the bellini were great touches. We'll be back next time we're in town :) . Thank you."

  • "Lovely complimentary soup starter got everyone off to a good start. Excellent starters and an amazing selection of main course dishes all beautifully prepared and presented. Depth of flavour was second to none and the array of interesting dishs meant that eveyone tried something new. I'll certainly recommend Cafe Spice to my friends."

  • "Had a great lunch here a couple of weeks ago. Lunch menu options were plentiful and quite tasty. Although our server was a bit stiff initially, he warmed up by the end of the meal. Thae food was delicious! I would return again when I get back to london."

  • "We went as a group of six having been tempted and tantalised by the culinary delights we have seen Cyrus create on various foodie programmes and we were not disappointed. Every dish was beautifully presented, the flavours were outstanding and the portions were generous. The whole experience was very enjoyable, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and excellent food - doesn't get much better, we'll definitely be going again."
    dined on 02/08/2014
  • "Really looking forward to going. Famous restaurant and love Indian food and big fan of chef Todiwaller. Really disappointing. Starter platter was bland /dips were nice. Pork Vindaloo was dry and sauce tasted like pub curry. Chops were ok but lacked taste. It was my 40th birthday so not great"
    dined on 02/08/2014
  • "The food was of a standard not experienced before and was absolutely fantastic. The chef patron and his ever welcoming wife made the experience like being in their own home and close family members. An absolute must to go back soon!"

  • "A must visit for all - great food, service and ambience!"
    dined on 02/08/2014
  • "The food and service were excellent. I like spicy food but not so you can't taste what you were eating, the staff took great care in explaining what were in the dishes and how spicy they would be. The only minor down side were the ladies toilets, they could do with an overhaul and compared to the rest of the premises they do let the overall score down but would recommend the food and would go back,"
    dined on 02/08/2014
  • "Our first visit to Cafe Spice Namaste and we're already planning our next. A lovely friendly welcome to a beautiful restaurant. The food was stunning. I have had many a curry in my lifetime, some particularly memorable, but this was a stand out meal. And the service was immaculate. Attentive without being annoying. We waited a little while for our coffee order to be taken (no room for dessert!) but as we had an early meal, that was around the time most of the other tables were being served mains, so quite understandable. Overall an excellent meal and I can't wait to visit again."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed the taster menu which was great to try a variety of foods. The service was excellent and we would definitely recommend Cafe Spice Namaste."

  • "After pre booking this resturant 4 weeks prior to visiting london for the weekend we were pleasantly surprised how good the resturant was from the greeting on arrival from the owners wife to the great service we received to the food being excellent. As we left the resturant the owner and his wife were leaving the resturant we had a conversation with them both and they were so friendly and down to earth. We both look forward to visiting this resturant on our next visit to london. Well done to all the staff keep it up."

  • "I visited this restaurant on a visit to see my Son who lives in London. This is a must if you are a fan of Indian Food. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. The food is the best I have tasted and the staff were attentive without going over the top. Really good experience topped off by the visit of the owner to say hi. Then the bill arrived which was half of what I expected it to be. What a great evening out."
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "We went here for a birthday meal...food was outstanding I cannot recommend it enough! Everyone needs to try Cafe Spice"

  • "Quiet simply - the best Indian meal I have ever had food was exceptional coupled with top customer service will definitely be going back!"
    dined on 25/07/2014
  • "I chose this restaurant because I was entertaining a veggie, and we both love curry. The menu is varied and interesting though shorter than your average curry house. There were some quite unusual dishes and everything was delicious. It's a bit of a bleak location with nothing else around, and the place is a bit lofty and still for a good atmosphere, but this is still a good option for a business lunch or dinner as it is quiet enough for a good chat. Perhaps the ambience is better on the weekends. My only other issue was that the chilli ratings of the dishes seem a little off. I had the pork vindalho which was delicious but barely warranted its two chillis. Otherwise no complaints and I would definitely return."
    dined on 25/07/2014
  • "I've wanted to taste some of the food here as always looks great when I see Cyrus cooking on the TV so couldn't believe my luck when found this was just round the corner from our hotel. Having read the reviews thought we were going to be in for some fantastic food alas I was wrong. I chose a lamb dish for main that said was slow cooked and enffused with 21 spices but tasted like a lamb steak that had just been fried with spicy gravy on top not the taste extravaganza I was expecting. Wife's chicken dish wasn't much better, best tasting bits where the chutneys for the popadoms and the paswari naan."
    dined on 24/07/2014
  • "Fantastic environment and fantastic food for a casual Business dinner! But there weren't enough Servers because it took repeated attempts to order drinks & main meal. This was not a fault of the Server - he was doing his best - this was a management issue for not having adequate servers scheduled for the evening. If the service had been better, I would very likely have rated the overall experience as "Very Good" or even "Outstanding.""

  • "Fantastic authentic Goan and Indian food, locally sourced ingredients, excellent service from friendly staff. The menu includes favourites such as lamb, chicken, beef and fish but also has duck and ostrich as well as a broad range of vegetarian options. I have been coming to Cafe Spice for several years now and the food just gets better every time. We have also dined at Mr Tdiwalas Kitchen at Heathrow Terminal 5 Hiltin and Assado near Waterloo, both run by Cyrus Todiwala and the food is just as good. Would definitely recommend Cafe Spice to anyone who likes well prepared, nicely spiced food."

  • "We enjoyed a lovely evening, excellent food and friendly service. We shared a platter to start with and everything on the plate was delicious and with its own unique taste. Our mains were lovely too and you can really taste the different spices unlike some Indian food when it looks and tastes the same!"

  • "Excellent food especially the Dosa starter , in a chilled atmosphere, excellent waiting staff."
