I took my wife here as a special anniversary lunch, the whole experience was outstanding, from the food, the ambiance, and the service, it was fantastic, to top it all off we also got to meet Mr Todiwalla and his wife who were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Both of our meals were beautifully cooked and very very tasty, spicy but not overpowering

It had been a few months since we had been to Cafe Spice and we were certainly not disappointed! The new decor looked great, a little brighter than before but losing none of its understated authentic charm. The new menu was also fantastic, well lates out and easy to find the right thing for your tastes. The Honey Nann was a new thing for us and it was incredible! If you have not visited Cafe Spice you really should, the service and quality of the food are second to none.

The great thing about this restaurant is that the menu is not the same-old-same-old. There are innovative combinations and options which spoils you for choice. And the taste is so authentic. It doesn't get too caught up in gimmickry to forget about the taste. I really enjoyed the bhel puri (reminded me of Chowpatty beach) and the South Indian braod beans and coconut sabzi. The beetroot and coconut samosas were unexpectedly wonderful too. All in all a great experience with very personalized service. Really enjoyed our dinner!

This is the second time we have visited namaste spice. The experience was just as good if not better than our first time. Our first time was lunch this time we tried the evening menu. I recommend both. The piri piri squid was amazing as was the lamb knuckle. Try this restaurant you won't be disappointed. They go out of the way to make this a wonderful experience.

An Indian restaurant with even more of a slant towards the delicate English palate. If you are expecting a good old fashioned high street curry with something a bit special you will be disappointed. Sauces were runny, curry flavours tepid, portions small, rose and cardamon ice cream good, bill high. Tried it, wouldn't recommend it, won't be going back. Sorry.

Service was impeccable from the start. Menu choice and specials was amazing....could have spent an hour reading all the options and descriptions. The food was outstanding, flavours and presentation all wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxed, not stuffy and the two complimentary glasses of pink bubbly at the end to celebrate our anniversary and my wife's birthday was a lovely touch. We will definitely return as there are so many dishes we want to try!

We ordered the set meal @ £35 per head and asked for medium heat. The food tasted lovely and all dishes varied in content eg.4 main courses were lentil dahl, pork, chicken & prawns, however they were all on the hotter side of medium and for us it would have been better if the heat had varied slightly across the dishes. Overall though the food was very good. Was slightly disappointed in the ambience of the place...seemed lik a lot of tables in one open area with not much space between tables. Also the waiter struggled to hear or understand what we were asking for eg. asked if there was a lounge area in which we could sit to have coffee but he didnt understand and went off to return with a menu of the different types of coffee that were avail.

Lovely unpretentious restaurant with great food. Really difficult to choose what to have as it all sounded great. Had the Cafe Spice shared starter which was amazing, mains good if not quite reaching the heights of the starter. And top notch wine and service too, I'd definitely come back.

My Wife & I try to visit Cafe Spice Namaste whenever we are in London for a break - which tends to be once or twice a year. This is because there are no similarly individual Indian type restaurants in Norwich (where we live) & our visits have always been very enjoyable. Clearly, the food is the real attraction. The individuality, attention to detail & the tastes stand out. Each dish is thoroughly considered using the best & most appropriate ingredients - the menu is not one of lists of the universal & typical curries (with arbitrary spelling!) each available with different meats, fish or vegetables. No, what you get at CSN is something far more considered, & as a consequence, more of an occasion. Understated service too. Just great!

This was our first time at Cafe spice Namaste, we made the reservation specially as it was my partners birthday. We were pleasantly surprised with the decor and atmosphere it felt warming and very casual. The menu was interesting we couldn't decide what to choose so we went for the mixed started, the tikka were delicious but the veg options we didn't like too much. Then my partner had the special which was the mutton and I had a lamb dhansak which both were very nice. It I wouldn't say excellent. The service was excellent and the waiter attended to our every need explaining what the dishes were when they arrived. All in all a very nice place, would we visit again no too sure.

Came here with wife and a friend. You can find on street parking across the road, though trust google maps to tell you where it is, as I've driven past it dozens of times and never knew there was a restaurant there. Seated immediately and the service was great. Friendly and attentive, and they clear the crumbs between courses which is nice! Menu is extensive and so many choices, but first time I've been in an Indian restaurant and ordered mains that weren't just veg, meat or seafood in different sauces. Each dish was quite different, from pan fried fish to pork cutlet, and there were even different variations of rice to complement the different mains. Good choice if you want to try something a bit different from the usual curry house.

From the moment I walked in it was an amazing experience. Wonderful decor, spotless, and welcoming staff who genuinely cared about your comfort. This was all before the food. The menu was different and explained all the meals in detail, with a history of each. The food was sublime, beyond anything I've ever tasted before. Although the restaurant was large, they managed to make you feel like you were in the hostess's kitchen both with service and the food. It was clear that a lot if thought and time went into the ingredients and cooking. It was a little on the pricey side but I guess you get what you pay for. Overall a wonderful experience and highly highly recommended

We were met at the door by helpful staff and shown immediately to our table. Given a reasonable amount of time to look at the menu, we made our choices and the food began to arrive. This was Indian food so different - we could taste the spicing. Something that was hot, did not feel the need to burn your tasteless thus being unable to taste anything. It was a lovely touch to meet the chef and his wife who ran front of house, was warm and friendly. If only we lived closer, this would become a regular favourite - but whenever we come to London it will be.

The welcome and service was very good, but the main course was disappointing. Starters, breads and chutneys were delicious. The main course was bland - not what I expected from one of the "spice men". My partner chose a different main course and we both felt this was also bland - almost like an English lamb stew. Not what we were expecting at all!

The staff are friendly and willing to tell you about their interesting backgrounds should you wish to strike up a conversation with them. The large dining area is airy and spacious with an interesting ethnic decor. The dishes hail from the cuisines of some of the southern Indian states including Goa and Maharashtra as well as from Parsi cuisine. This makes for an interesting menu different from those of the many eateries serving north Indian food around the UK. There is some experimentation with fusion however this does not always work, e.g. with the beetroot samosa. The Parsi chicken curry is delicious though! I look forward to returning to try some of the other main meat dishes including the famed Goan pork vindaloo!

The restaurant wasn't very busy when I went there for lunch with my parter yet we had to wait long time for the meal and because of that we had to rush eating as obviously had to go back to work. I would assume that restaurant in this location would make sure quick service as people do hav limited time to eat their lunch and return to their offices. Food was average however I'd give them small extra point for the number of vegetarian options available.

The menu was really authentic and interesting. My husband had ostrich! The venue itself was not what I expected but pleasant, though not particularly attentive waiters although it was very busy. Service was a little slow - our table was not ready and I think they had forgotten about taking our wine order. However it was just over the road from our hotel (Grange Tower Bridge) and the quality of the menu and the food we ate was delicious.

The food was outstanding. The service attentive. Tables we're very small. With an Indian meal you usually gave a few dishes and we found we were moving glasses and bottles around throughout the meal. Wine was very expensive. And I'm not keen on automatic service charges. Could have done with sine background music. That said, the food is superb

Knowing about the cookbooks written by its founder I was dumbfounded to be eating run of the mill dishes. Ironically the most sophisticated dish was the street food appetizer. The relishes on the Mutton special and the duck were sadly no better than what you'd get at a diner. I expected artistry and a taste experience - as I'm familiar with all the cuisines the chef draws from. My husband and I loved the festively painted dining but in the end, were underwhelmed by the dishes.
