The website developers need a pat on the back as after checking out the website I booked a table. The restaurant itself is small and in need of a refurb. After being seated and given a wine list we were left for around 15 minutes. Then the waitress came back to ask if we would like a drink? I then asked for a drinks menu which appeared and again we were left to long. I decided to go to the toilet before a drink order had even been taken, on my return I was informed by my partner she had ordered Drinks and the food, I joked the food would arrive first, surprise surprise we had food before drinks. The food is expensive with poor presentation. The main course chicken at £18 was one over cooked Breast & a few small hard lumps of rice. Awful.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Nottingham. Food is fantastic and excellent selection of wines and champagnes. The lay out of the tables doesn't allow for a particularly "intimate" setting and the noise level can get a bit out of control, so I probably wouldn't recommend it for a first date type of occasion. I also wouldn't say it was child friendly. Overall though a fab restaurant experience, and an outstanding cocktail bar is a few stumbles away for afterwards!

Best tasting menu ever. We liked everything on the menu and the amount of food we got was amazing. We couldn't eat it all. Nice decor, not too noisy even though the restaurant was full and lots of larger tables. Would definitely return if head back to Nottingham.

This place is great for groups and couples but not so much for families. The service was excellent which always improves the overall experience. The portion sizes were perfect and not too much. My only complaint was the lighting. My date and I were sat at the very back of the restaurant which I found very dark. Some people might enjoy this, but I like to see what I'm eating. Other then that, great place will definitely visit again!

I always love the food at Chino Latino's, it's so packed full of flavour and textures. We have the taster menu as it encourages us to try lots of things that we probably wouldn't have normally ventured into. As always the food was amazing! This was the first time that we've visited at lunchtime and we were the only people in there so ambience was a little lacking and I did notice that the decor is looking a little tired. Was also disappointed that they don't serve their fantastic cocktails in the daytime either. Service was brilliant though!

My boyfriend and I booked the taster menu with 40% off - so still £56 just on food between the two of us. The food was lovely, and the staff were very friendly etc, but we felt very rushed. We arrived at 7pm and had been served all our food from the taster menu by 7.45, with the bill brought to us as soon as we'd finished eating. I enjoyed the meal but felt it was expensive even with the discount, and had we paid £90 between the two of us (before drinks), I would have felt quite ripped off. Nonetheless, the food was tasty and nicely presented and we did enjoy it - just a shame we were rushed out of the door in under an hour - the place wasnt especially busy so we didnt feel it was necessary.

Once again Chino Latino lives up to expectations. This time we went for the taster menu and although there's a lot of different dishes, the portions are manageable and the variety of tastes means you don't feel that you're over-eating. We polished off the lot anyway! Great food, impeccable service, reasonable value. What's not to like.

I had a few very different Asian fusion dishes all of which were delicious. The black cod portion was huge and incredibly tasty. I'd recommend that one to anyone who likes fish. The steak served on hot rocks is a novelty but be careful not to over cook the steak as I did which was my own fault. My only issue is the industrial style floor which damages the ambiance a little. Other than that, fabulous.

Having experienced Chino Latino on a weekend in London, we decided to give Nottingham a try. The food was excellant and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The only drawback were the noise levels. This is not the venue for a quiet romanic dinner. It has to be said that at times we could not hear what was being said to us. I would add that it did not detract from the cullenary experience. Perhaps we were infortunate to book on a particulary lively night

My girlfriend and I decided to go to Chino Latino to celebrate graduating. We had been fascinated by the theme of the restaurant for ages but never really had the opportunity to dine there as it was a bit to expensive for people on a student budget. However, having had the opportunity to dine there it is safe to say our expectations of the food were massively surpassed! The modern twist on authentic oriental dishes tasted amazing with explosions of flavours in each mouthful, I can't praise it enough! The only aspect that could possibly top the food, was the service, which was also fantastic with extremely friendly and attentive waitresses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for modern asian cuisine!

We very rarely leave feedback but felt compelled to put the effort in at last after another fantastic meal. We eat out at least twice a week, mainly in Nottingham and have been eating at Chino Latinos for a number of years. The food is absolutely first class and only matched by the friendly staff and excellent service with Natalie, Sasha and the manager Jody always standing out for their personal touch. The menu has recently changed, the black cod tempura melts in your mouth and the scallops are to die for. We always like the sweet potato fries and the cocktails are some of the best you will find in Nottingham.

    Dined on 25/5/2014
We booked this thinking it would be very similar in terms of their London branch which is one of our favourite restaurants. The decor looks very poor and is a mismatched slap-dash affair that does not add to the experience. The food was just average and nowhere near the London Chino Latino in terms of presentation, or quality - we felt kind of let down thinking the experience would be similar - the only saving grace was the attentive staff.

No set menu for 2 people. They said they used to do a menu for 2 and that people always still ask for it - call me crazy for pointing out the obvious but put the menu for 2 back on. We decided to go for the set menu for 4 to get a selection, they said they could do that and just give us half of what was on the menu - great, not so great was the fact they still charged us £45 quid each which was the same price as if 4 people were eating, so they halved the set menu for 4 but didn't half the price - I would say the price could justify the meal but the standard really wasn't great and the portions were so small we had to get a takeaway on the way home - way too overpriced

We dined at Chino Latino on a Saturday night. I was nicely suprised that the quality and presentation of food have improved since my last visit several months ago. We had a mixture of sushi, sashimi and cooked dishes that were all very tasty and nicely presented. The service was good despite being very busy on that evening. The atmosphere was happy and people simply enjoyed themselves. I would definetely visit again.

Maybe this isn't really a lunchtime venue but is was very quiet when we ate there on a Saturday at 3pm. Overall the food was good but surprisingly had very few veggie options. Maybe it gets better at night and the experience merits the high cost but for me it was overpriced with drinks being very overpriced.

I dined here on a Saturday evening with my boyfriend and our friends who are also a couple. We had a fabulous time. The cocktails are great and the food was amazing. I really liked that it was 'tapas style' and we had a chance to try a range of different things. The presentation of the food was beautiful and so was the taste. The only negative thing I have to say is the temperature of the restaurant was very cold. I would definitely recommend going here and both me and my boyfriend will be going back again very soon!

Booked here for a friday evening. Arrived, not more than 10 couples in 6 members of staff, 2 behind the bar. Despite plenty of tables we were shown to the far corner where we were crow-barred in next to another couple! The waitress handed us the menu and tried to explain but due to the noise and her thick eastern european accent it was hard to hear. 10 minutes later she returned to ask if we would like a drink! We ordered a bottle of wine. 10 minutes later it hadnt arrived. As we stood up to leave she came over " your drinks are just coming" My partner explained that the wait had been ridiculous and we left.

A very disappointing meal. Wanted to treat my mum to a nice meal out and wish I had chosen elsewhere to dine! The starters of tempura prawns and scallops were delicious however the mains were less than mediocre. The monkfish tasted like old fish fingers and the Sea bass was bland bland bland! Utter waste of £75, would never dine here again, astronomical prices for hideous food and we left feeling hungry! My advice - don't bother!!
