I suspect Cocochan gets very busy in the evenings! We had a quiet lunch there on Saturday; the food (from black cod tempura to salmon and tuna tartare) was excellent throughout. Every dish was very well balanced, with flavours and textures in harmony: the sashimi was very fresh; the tempura batter crisp and light without a hint of greasiness. Drinks were also excellent: light, aromatic, and well-thought-out.

Cocochan is my favourite restaurant in London hands down, I recommend it to people all the time. The good is delicious and so consistent, I have never not had a good meal there. I also like that some of the staff have been there a long time which is a good sign. Please bring back the prawn toast!! Oh and the ponzu sauce is like heaven :) Looking forward to my next booking, I'm always wanting to try the lobster tempura as a treat but the green chicken curry is just too good!

i was a bit worried as its on the tourist path so did not have high hopes but the food was good the only 2 downfalls was that the staff aren't as attentive and also when we ordered the food we left one dish which is the spicy tuna sushi we didn't touch at all and the waitress took it away with out even asking if their was a problem or any common sense to see if we still wanted it… the reason we didn't touch it was i prefer to have the option to have the sauce on the side rather it being dolloped on top of the sushi and it smelt like tobasco sauce other than that enjoyable

Went here finally this weekend with one of the girls to have a catchup after a day of shopping ! it did not disappoint from all the great review i have heard. We began with a glass of champagne, followed by some sharing plates of; edemame, tempura black cod, maki rolls, dim sums... it was all delicious and I will def be returning. Service was great, food was great , we sat outside as it was so warm. The tables could have been better, that would be my only fault - a bitt wobbly, on a small slope so not the best for eating. Anyway FAB EXPERIENCE!

I think we were unlucky as I have heard great things about cocochan previously but the service was terrible. Our food took an hour to arrive and then only one dish arrived. When the other dishes finally arrived one of the prawn dimsum was raw in the middle. The manager did apologise and offer us 50% off saying that they were very busy. Given the prices we were very unimpressed.

When they phoned to confirm my booking they didn't mention they had no fresh fish for sushi and sashimi! Since these are a significant part of the menu we were very disappointed and if we'd known we would have gone elsewhere. The food we did have was tasty and well presented and went well with the house white.

The restaurant was having a bad day, there was no sushi which meant more than half the menu was unavailable, no reason given, I was seated and left for 10 mins, finally I flagged down a waitress who said she didn't realize I was there. It took 4 requests to get a glass of water and my food came cold ( vegetable spring rolls aren't supposed to be cold). The bar was out of 2 of the wine by the glass. All in all a terrible lunch, I won't be back anytime soon

First time trying Dim Sum and thought Cocochan did a great job! Quite let down by the lamb cutlets we got though- they were far too rare! On the whole I still think it was a really nice experience to try out new styles of food and for anyone else who'd like to do the same I'd recommend Cocochan. For those interested the meal cost me £45 for me and my date.

we have stay 6 days in london and use tripadvisor to choose all restaurants. We went the for dinner on saturday. The rstaurants look well and the meal was good. But we went with our kids of 8 and 5, they look us differently when they saw kids and sit us in a table near the kitchen. It seems the dont like kids. After we ask 2 crispy duck , one for kids at the beginjing and one for us. They forget to prepared one of them and we get back to the hotel with the think that it was all because of kids. Perhaps its not the place to go with kids but its better to notice it.
