A word from Devonshire Terrace
Devonshire Terrace lies 5 minutes walk from Liverpool St in the beautiful glass-domed Western Courtyard of Devonshire Square. The venue itself, with its remarkable double sided balconies, one completely covered by a high glass roof, is unique and jaw-dropping. The restaurant/bar has four private rooms complete with sliding doors giving access to a private balcony area and heated terrace. The reindeer skin throws and electric heaters on the outside terrace give it a year round appeal and help to create the air of escapism that you feel as soon as you walk into Devonshire Terrace. The restaurant menu features a range of modern European dishes created and prepared by our own chefs.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Getting a table is quite simple. Food is good and wine menu pretty decent too. Desert selection is lovely and the service is decent but could be a little more attentive. Very good value for money too."

  • "The delight of Devonshire Terrace is its roofed over, sunshine heated, outdoor but indoor layout. The food and service was well up to London business lunch standards, who notices the cost unless it's outrageous. The service fell down on a couple of occasions but being friendly and enthusiastic made up for that."

  • "we had lunch at devonshire terrace. the service was really good and the food was outstanding. highly reccomend."

  • "Amazing food - from top to bottom. We thoroughly enjoyed all three courses and kept asking the waitress to pass on our compliments to the chef. Definitely recommend for work colleagues or friends for lunch and dinner."

  • "I had a client lunch at Devonshire Terrace - not what I was expecting - quite relaxed/casual, food okay not outstanding by any stretch - good for a quick bite to eat with friends but wouldn't recommed for anything more."
    dined on 23/01/2014
  • "Great breakfast, service and good private dining areas."
    dined on 29/11/2013
  • "Good restaurant and good location with a decent and varied restaurant. I had the nicoise salad and my only comment was that the tuna was well done and not medium as ordered, but still very good."
    dined on 22/01/2014
  • "A good location for a business meal and food quality was quite good. My client required dairy free and they were able to accommodate this which was quite useful Good service and wine as well"

  • "Really enjoyable meal, great service and overall my colleagues and I had a great time."

  • "Booked a table for 3 for 2:45pm many weeks in advance. Told at 11.20am on the same that they were closing the restaurant for a xmas party and that we would have to finish the meal at 4pm. After saying this was not acceptable, they said we could stay until 5pm. After this time their service was none existent as they were preparing for the party. In the end we were asked to take our unfinished bottle of wine outside in the cold atrium outside. We were made to feel like intruders. It's understandable that a party booking was their main priority but those diners who had to leave before they wanted (not only just ourselves) should have been better looked after for the inconvenience which was not of their making."

  • "I had lunch at Devonshire Place this week and was disappointed in the quality of the food. I had the White Crab, Spinach & Lemon Mascarpone Risotto at £14.95, which was stodgy, congealed, heavy, and tepid. This dish should be light texture, moist, and hot and it failed on all three counts."
    dined on 27/11/2013
  • "Business lunch with some lovely colleagues. I had the pigeon for starter which was lovely and very well cooked followed by the burger. The burger was enormous and quite pink (which is how I like it) and I struggled to finish it. The chips could have been crispier and the green beans were swimming in butter. The service was very good until the point we required the bill. Overall, a good experience and I will certainly book the restaurant again as it is very convenient for clients based in and around Bishopsgate."

  • "Had a breakfast meeting there. Quiet, not so busy. Service was good. Food was good also."
    dined on 15/11/2013
  • "This was my first time dining at Devonshire Terrace. We did not have starters. My guest really enjoyed her steak. I had asked for my lamb shank to be pink but unfortunately it was a little overdone so the meat was a little dry. The desserts were delicious."

  • "Great place for business discussions in a not too formal environment. Food was very good."
    dined on 23/10/2013
  • "excellent place for a relaxed business lunch, would write more but rather busy."
    dined on 03/10/2013
  • "Food here is nice and the service is excellent. It is a little pricy if you are paying for yourself. Sides are priced separately and there is a 12.5% service fee, but most people there are usually on business where the compete is paying, therefore price is less of an issue. IT is a nice place to eat if you are not worried about the cost of the final bill."
    dined on 16/10/2013
  • "Perfect for a tasty lunch with friends and for good attentive service in nice surroundings"
    dined on 30/09/2013
  • "The food was great - you really can't go too far wrong here. However, service was very slow to get going, especially on a quiet Monday lunchtime. Room for improvement there. To be fair, things did improve as we went on."
    dined on 16/09/2013
  • "Great service and food as always. Go here on a regular basis for business lunches and breakfasts."
    dined on 24/07/2013
  • "First time we've ever eaten here but what an outstandingly lucky find. We had a late lunch out on the terrace. Being able to eat outside is always a major plus for me anyway - especially when you're actually protected from the elements anyway. But this wasn't just about ambience. Everything we ate and drank was exceptional. Melting parma ham with superb feta and water melon salad. Terrific veal caponata and pork loin with apricots (my partner doesn't even normally LIKE apricots). Fabulous strawberry shortcake and lovely Gavi wine. All served by friendly and efficient waitresses. What's not to like? We'll be back, for definite."
    dined on 29/08/2013
  • "A nice venue - convenient for business lunches. Service was swift and food was very pleasant. Nothing too showy but nicely executed fresh dishes."
    dined on 07/08/2013
  • "We ordered fish and salad from the lunch menu with a summer cocktail, all were well presented, delicious and appropriately portioned. Service was extremely good, as was the ambience on the Terrace outside under the Devonshire Square Dome. With the sun out it can get a little warm under the Dome, some canopys might be as shrewd an investment for the restaurant as their canapes."
    dined on 08/08/2013
  • "Great food, interesting menu, and fabulous service."
    dined on 26/07/2013
  • "decent menu, friendly service in a very nice setting on the terrace. tables spaced out so good for business meals"
    dined on 08/07/2013
  • "Visited Devonshire Terrace for lunch on 7th June. As requested had a 'courtyard' table. Service bit slow and not much holumi on the salad - disappointed with cream brulee was rather solid and not very crispy. The location and seating is lovely though and the mussels and frits was very good."
    dined on 07/06/2013
  • "Great spot in the City to grab a business lunch; weather protected and near Liverpool St station"
    dined on 23/05/2013
  • "Food and service were both very good. Menu does not have a lot of choices but it's sufficient. The location is very nice. Overall, a nice lunch experience, not too expensive Will return"
    dined on 24/05/2013
  • "Food and Ambiance Very Good. Staff extremely friendly and provided quick service. Drinks were a little on the expensive side and you should expect to pay a 12.5% service charge even if you are not in a group."
    dined on 01/05/2013
  • "Arrived on time on a lovely Spring day to be shown to an outside table in the sunshine, good food and good service followed. Happy to recommend."
    dined on 03/05/2013
  • "It had been a while since I'd lunched at Devonshire Terrace and I was wondering whether it would still be up to the standard of last time. Well, it wasn't - it was even better! Great food which was beautifully presented, friendly service and a cracking bottle of wine - all in all well worth going back and I won't leave it so long before returning.aagain. Wish I'd booked early enough to have had a table outside - but that's my own fault and on a sunny Friday lunch-time, no surprise. Lesson learned."
    dined on 03/05/2013
  • "Had a brunch meeting here - nice ambiance and conducive to the conversation. Food was good as well. Client wanted to come back so thats a plus!"
    dined on 25/04/2013
  • "I went for lunch with a colleague and was greeted by a pleasent member of staff who sat us at our table promptly. The service was good without being obtrusive. The food was good and we enjoyed a pleasent lunch with a glass of pinot too! I would come definately come back."
    dined on 17/04/2013
  • "The most inattentive staff, the maitre d' mainly. We had to keep going up to the bar to order drinks, and when we said we were ready to order, the waiter just walked away and brought us a sharing menu, which we didn't ask for or want. It took forever to get him back and take the order, but it wasn't even busy. This is definitely more of a bar than restaurant feel and was not suitable for a group dinner booking. The food was nice, but was a very limited menu, again, more a bar menu which is not what I was expecting."
    dined on 02/04/2013
  • "Service was a bit slow but everyone was buzzing around with loads of people to serve. Food quite expensive but everyone enjoyed it, perhaps that was because I was paying. Would go again."
    dined on 20/03/2013
  • "Food was lovely and the environment was comfy & friendly."
    dined on 04/02/2013
  • "It was a cold Monday lunchtime in January but it was still a nice place to be. A friend and I went for the set price lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location would be even nicer in the summer as there is an outside terrace (still under the cover of the huge atrium but would feel like being outside). Would definitely go back."
    dined on 28/01/2013
  • "Good value and perfect for a business lunch as you are able to talk"
    dined on 15/01/2013
  • "We dined here for lunch and can't knock the quality of the food. The price was a little more than I'd normally pay but the quality more than compensates. The only negative was that because we weren't allocated a waiter the service was too attentive to start with (we were asked for drinks orders by three different waiters) and then almost not existent when the restaurant was a little busier. The restaurant is nice and has a quality feel to it so I would go again."
