I'd wanted to go to Duck and Waffle for over a year and it definitely didn't disappoint! From the moment you arrive, the staff are very attentive and keen to make your experience as enjoyable as possible and ensure you sample the best options on the menu. To start with we were nervous about what to order but after the waiter talked us through everything and gave his opinion, we were convinced as to what to order. The food was amazing and we loved everything, especially the ox cheek doughnut and of course the duck and waffle. I've never been more sad to finish a meal and can't wait to go back. It made a celebratory night perfect.

Eating here is an experience. The view of London from the 42nd floor of Heron Tower is absolutely superb - if you can eat here at night, then do. There is a bar inside the restaurant, but it's better to head down two floors to Sushi Samba to drink out on the terrace overlooking London. The food is for sharing. It's a bit hit and miss, but mostly it's delicious. I was a Duck and Waffle doubter, but after having 3 dishes of it I can't recommend it enough. Great place to eat with friends or for romance, but it's definitely only for special occasions (as otherwise the wine menu alone will set you back £35 minimum).

We had breakfast here last Monday morning. The food is great. I had the ox cheek eggs benedict. He had the full English breakfast. The eggs benedict were great. It comes with a sauce which is quite hot and spicy, like a Tabasco I'd say, which thankfully I'd ordered on the side. It was too hot for me. The meat was very tasty. It was shredded, like a shredded pork. The English breakfast was typical and reported to be very tasty. Not to take from the food but the view is the big thing here (especially at breakfast time). I'd like to try it for dinner when the menu is a bit more varied. There's only so much I can say about a fry up. The service is great and very attentive without being over bearing. I'd go back again.

Great setting with great views over Lonon, starting with the external lift to the 40th. Food is for sharing and the duck and waffle is the best dish, overall food is of high quality if a little pricey. Service is efficient, sometimes too efficient but the place was very lively on a Saturday evening with a real buzz.

Besides the spectacular views, ambiance and overall experience - the food is so fantastic, that the other aspects are just an added bonus on top of a wonderful evening! The foie grass creme brulee is to die for and the steak (main course) is truly magnificent! Cant wait to go back!

Saturday brunch was our first experience of this slick restaurant. Outside, men with earpieces checked us against a list before we whizzed up in the glass elevator. There was a party going on on the floor below. Something to do with the film business. They were so loud that you couldn't hear people across the table at the D&W or perhaps it's naturally got bad acoustics. Food ok. I poured too much maple syrup on my waffle, others shouldn't make the same mistake. Service good, view stunning. Price fair. Parking nearby was a problem. Lively. Too noisy. Maybe not their fault.

We visited Duck & Waffle for brunch and were thoroughly impressed. We booked primarily for the views of London, but would happily return for the food alone. Everything was superb, from the variety of the menu, to the friendly and welcoming service to the the stunning views of London. The lift up to the 40th floor was thrilling! We enjoyed savoury and sweet dishes and all tasted heavenly. particular highlights were the foie gras creme brulee, the colombian eggs and the toffee apple waffle. It was a really relaxed and comfortable dining experience.

This was an early evening meal for a group of six. For the vegetarian in our group the chef produced a couple of fantastic dishes that were not on the menu. For the meat eaters the menu exceeded expectations. The staff are very knowledgeable about the food they serve, they are attentive and helpful. The food was was very impressive, presented well and tasted great. The views in my opinion are second to none. Where else can you see many of the great sites of London coupled very good food. Excellent in every sense. Well worth a visit. The group and myself would certainly visit again.

The food was good, with some unusual combinations of flavour. It makes you try new things which was fun. The menu is quite small which is good as your not stuck thinking what to try. I think there should be some explanation in regards to how to order as we discovered the portions were quite small. It's almost like a taster in each plate so you should order a few things each then mix and match so you get a taste of everything. The view was amazing with london lit up it was very nice. The quality of food was great. The service at the table of our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful, however the people around the bar area and who took our reservation and sat us were not the nicest of characters with one person in particular being rude.

My husband and I visited Duck & Waffle after work on Monday & after convincing the doorman on the street that we had a booking, we took the lift up to the 40th floor. If you're scared of heights - face away from the 3 full glass windows whilst you make a speedy ascent. We sat at a table for 2 by the window with a great view of the Gherkin, Tower Bridge and beyond. A really great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining the menu and advising to order 2-3 starter sharing plates and 1 sharing main. We enjoyed the fish meatballs (extremely delicious) and the beetroots and mozzarella dish with the Duck & Waffle to finish. Amazing food, great views and 4 courses with drinks at £110 was very good.

My Husband and I went for lunch on a weekday as we were unable to get a booking on a weekend, testament to what a lovely place this is I'm sure! We had several delicious sharing plates including the spicy ox cheek doughnut, the stuffed dates and the fabulous duck and waffle. The food was outstanding and absolutely delicious. The only comment I would make, which seems obvious, is that to get to the restaurant you have to go in a completely glass lift up to the 40th floor. I'm especially scared of heights and 7 months pregnant so no surprise that I didn't enjoy this experience but my Husband who isn't found it a challenge too! The staff were so lovely and allowed us to come down in the staff lift but worth bearing in mind.

I booked a table for breakfast for a special occasion and requested a table by the window. The gentleman who greeted us was incredibly warm and welcoming and showed us to a table by the window, which had the most amazing view of London. I wouldn't say that service was the quickest or most attentive, but when something was brought to their attention they fixed it promptly. My reason for going was more for the view anyway and I wasn't disappointed. Food was good and sample sizes were spot on. Definitely worth a visit!

We went there for a belated birthday meal and everybody was delighted. This is certainly an experience, from the moment you look at the Heron Tower to when you enter the lift, from when you discover the stunning view from the 40th floor to when you tuck in to the famous D&W. I would also recommend the mozzarella salad nothing like i've ever tasted before, the jerusalem artichoke ravioli were a delight, and the luscious breads with so much fillings they were almost pizza like! The service was impeccable super efficient without feeling stuffy. i'd definitely recommend and go there again, it's perfect for special occasions - the only challenge is finding a table available, we had to book 6 weeks in advance!

It was amazing. The best duck I've ever had - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Duck can be quite tricky and can sometimes be dry on the inside but here it was succulent and the crispy outside of the duck was so well seasoned. The waffle was perfection - I wondered it might be a bit odd with a waffle being sweet but it wasn't sweet, it was very balanced and with the duck egg cooked to perfection with the yolk and white being sturdy yet the yolk also just the right amount runny so you can share it with ease. The maple mustard syrup tied the meal together perfectly. When I go again, I'm certainly ordering the duck and waffle again. Also absolutely excellent service. The waiter introduced himself, gave us his name, very polite.

The Duck & Waffle experience starts with a lift ride up to the 40th floor of the Heron Tower. Slightly unusual entrance from the back of the restaurant by the toilets, but you arrive at a bar area where you can enjoy a drink while you wait for your table to be prepared (if needed). We waited about 10 minutes while enjoying drinks and the stunning view to the financial district of London. St. Paul and even the London Eye can be seen clearly. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Food was gorgeous. Though the menu was a little confusing. Ask for it to be explained before you decide what you want to order. Overall a great experience, though a bit on the pricey side. But, good for a special occasion.
