As a regular of Pica Pica I was keen to try feather and bone. To be fair nothing's really changed apart from the menu. It had a limited menu and the food was average. If you like bbq food may I suggest the smokehouse in Cardiff.

  • Poor BBQ ribs. Tastless BBQ sauce.

For a restraurant specialising in "slow and low" ribs and fried chicken the standard of the ribs was very poor. There was a very small amount of tasteless BBQ sauce on the ribs and when we asked for more sauce, what we got tasted like watered down tomoato juice. The chips were also undercooked. No one asked us how our food was because I think the poor waiters knew the answer.

My partner suggested we go to f&b on weds as he had been when it first opened and really enjoyed the food. You can imagine his surprise when we were not greeted or spoken to then had to wait 15mins to order our drinks to then have to wait nearly an hour for food which can only be described as KFC. The chips which I'm told we're lovely on his first visit were frozen from a bag and my chicken burger was served dry and a KFC would have been nicer for less of the price. Service was horrendous and then we went to the bar to pay as couldn't wait any longer for our bill to establish that they couldn't even get our order on the till correct. Horrendous place bring back pica pica

I had high hopes for this place after seeing reviews for its relaunch. Unfortunately it didn't live up to them. Only a few draft lagers available, and the one we all wanted was off so we had to have a lesser alternative. The highlight of the starters was the pork rind and the fried pickles. The 5 bean chilli was quite bland and Luke warm. The mains were nothing to write home about. The burgers were described by my husband and friend as tasting like poor quality meat, and not something they would have again. The chicken fared a little better, but was still not great. My ribs were quite nice and tender, but the small pot of sauce you get next to it would barely cover the meat. All in, we wouldn't go back here.

We came up from London for the weekend and decided to try out Feather and Bone. It had only been open 7 days when we dined there. We were very impressed. We were seated straight away and the waiting staff were lovely and attentive. We ordered chicken and ribs so we could both try a bit of both. The food was cooked perfectly. The chicken was moist and hot with a lovely herb-y coating. The ribs fell off the bone when cut into. Portion size was big as well. We had sides of mac and cheese and onion rings, again both were fantastic. I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Cardiff.
