Diner Reviews
  • "We have eaten here twice ,every time it's been amazing"
    dined on 20/12/2013
  • "Having eaten in various establishments in London, I'm always nervous about whether they can cope properly with a wheat allergy. However the waiter allayed those fears as he clearly understood the issues, advised on the menu and alternatives available. He also said that my food would be cooked in a separate kitchen so there was no chance of cross contamination with anything else. I felt totally at ease and free to really enjoy the meal - the food was great, the service excellent and some useful advice on the wine as well. The decor was getting shabby but they are about to do a refurb, but even so the decor wasn't nearly as bad as I'd read in other reviews. We would happily pay a return visit."

  • "Superb food! Well selected ingredients! Well prepared food! A touch of innovation but not deep into exploration! Great Atmosphere! Cosy, great to be with a bunch of friends! Works well for romantic dinner as well!"

  • "I had soup and cod, my husband had smoked salmon and duck. He is a big fan of Gordon Ramsey, that's why we really wanted to come here, we(live in California) chose this place among the other Ramsey restaurants, we assume it is the most English and casual. And I really enjoyed my menu. The Jerusalem artichoke soup was excellent, the cod was too. We ordered sides, broccoli, carrots, fried potatoes. Carrots were wonderful. But my husband was not satisfied with his salmon and duck, rather disappointed, he might write you his own review. Maybe he expected too much. The price was unexpectedly good. Compared with other places in this price range, I would come back/recommend friends this place. Thank you so much for the good dinner."

  • "Amazing experience. Food was just outstanding and the staff also. They made our experience special. I am glad I chose this restaurant too proposed in. Will be making more visits from Lincolnshire."

  • "Food not up to Ramsey standard at all steak very chewy and full of gristle. many people seemed to be using vouchers which was very off putting. With no alcohol the bill was £100 not value at all. Very disappointed. I lecture in Hospitality and Catering and this is an honest review. Staff were very insincere."

  • "Very good service, accommodating staff, tasty food."

  • "A nice vibe to the restaurant but were instantly treated like 2nd class when we said we had a voucher. Up-sell was attempted at every point of contact and at times was very uncomfortable. The food was lovely but I wouldn't go back or recommend, very disappointing."

  • "This restaurant popped up in my inbox and thought...'Right...we wrote a song called Foxtrot Oscar, so my old band and I have to go there'. So, having banged an email out to the other two members (mates) of our relatively successful pop/rock/punk band Trap3...the decision was a resounding 'Yes, we do have to go there'. So we did. Lovely service. Great 'culinary theatre' for the Artichoke soup. Fantastic Pork Chops...(although I would've preferred the fat round the sides a tad more crispy)...great desserts (as Gordon's restaurants often have). Although...if he did his own Kitchen Nightmares on this restaurant. He would change the chairs! They're falling apart and look like something out of Shameless. Which in Chelsea is surely a no-no?!"

  • "I was really disappointed with my experience here. Our food was below average. The artichoke soup for starter was bland and could have come from a can, and my gnocci main was oily, with an unpleasant aftertaste. The cheesecake could have come from a tescos fridge. The decor looks like a cross between a tacky Chinese restaurant and an 80's office. Awful. Expensive. And I'll repeat, awful."

  • "Great experience. Outstanding service and great quality food. I would recommend this restaurant as a treat."
    dined on 31/03/2014
  • "Sunday roast appeared to be the only dish on the menu. The roast was tuff and not worth a dining experience."
    dined on 30/03/2014
  • "I thought the food was good and given the location prices wre reasonable.I found the restaurant a bit shabby but the food was good and the service was excellent"
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "Enjoyed the meal here with a travelzoo voucher, the service and food were very good the only slight complaint being the restaurant is a little cramped."

  • "I booked FO as a mothers day/birthday treat for my mum being a big GR fan, we had already eaten out thats afternoon at The Avalon in Clapham and for a fraction of the price thought the food was better at the pub which is disappointing. The food we had at FO was good but not as good as we had expected. £30 for a plain tasting steak is a bit much. The table we had was very good, the service was good and we had a nice evening but will not be going back anytime soon."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "My husband dined at Foxtrot Oscar because we had been bought a Voucher for there. My beetroot salad starter was perfect and my husband's Smoked Salmon was also good. Husband's Pork Chop was delicious, my Sea Bream a bit tasteless, Sticky Toffee Puddings fantastic! Excellent service, No Pinot Grigio though?!?"
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "the worst :was having to wait outside in the cold my spot at the table because they had no where sit. the best :sensitivity Roberto waiter who served us beautifully and instructed us about the menu."
    dined on 28/03/2014
  • "We arrived very early, but that was not a problem and we were shown straight to a table. Excellent food as always - especially the scallops and the asparagus, although we wanted all the starters. Mains were excellent too."
    dined on 27/03/2014
  • "We had a great travelzoo deal and enjoyed a lovely meal, embiance was just right for what we needed for a meal out with friends. Portion sizes were not huge but as we had a three course it was just right. Desserts were very nice."
    dined on 25/03/2014
  • "Ramsay should send his own show to get this place up to scratch."
    dined on 23/03/2014
  • "Perfect place to spend your lunchtime on a Saturday. The service was excellent, the food was great and the cocktails were"
    dined on 22/03/2014
  • "Rude and arrogant service, average food and desperately in need of either refurbishment or closure. How can you survive when you can't even have clean cutlery on the table? The back areas leading to the kitchen are filthy, the toilets are a health hazard and they hadn't even cleaned the chairs from the night before. Never again."
    dined on 21/03/2014
  • "The deal we got from toptable meant that the meal was reasonable value for money but it wouldn't have been worth the full price. The staff confirmed on the phone that there was wheelchair access but there isn't really. There is a step to get in, very little space inside and no wheelchair accessible toilet so bear that in mind before you book if you or your guests use a chair."

  • "I booked through top table but they restaurant had my booking time incorrect but they did have a table for me. I really enjoyed my food but my date had the fish (catch if the day) and he found it a little flavourless. Also the staff didn't seem to know what fish it was telling him it was plaice when he ordered and then saying it was lemon sole when bought to the table, he asked for it to be changed so they took both our meals as requested and then bought them back 5 mins later and said they had made a mistake and it was plaice!! They did give him a free glass of wine to make up for the mistake. Apart from that the restaurant is small and relaxed and great for a relaxed mid week dinner, I would go back."
    dined on 19/03/2014
  • "The food was nice but I would have expected slightly more from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. I dont feel there was much atmosphere either, although the waiter was very attentive and the cocktails were great!"
    dined on 13/03/2014
  • "We'd been wanting to try Foxtrot Oscar for some time and decided on a whim to have dinner on a Thursday evening and opted for the 3 courses and glass of bubbles for £25. Although we had an early booking, we were seated downstairs on our own so the ambience was lacking until some of the other tables filled up over the next 45 mins. Our waiter was excellent - attentive but not overly so. Starters were quite small and the mains/desserts generally good, but nothing overwhelming - duck leg was probably the highlight. Would return, but only on a TT offer or similar, otherwise I'd think it was overpriced for what we had."
    dined on 06/03/2014
  • "The food was fantastic and very good service, but this restaurant does not come close to other Gordon Ramsay restaurants. It is a very tired looking restaurant in desperate need of a makeover. The gents washroom was embarrassingly shabby."
    dined on 13/03/2014
  • "Nothing special about this restaurant. The food was tasty but no more so than lots of much cheaper restaurants. More than happy to pay a premium for a great restaurant, great service and great food but this was not that. I had high hopes that just weren't met. Restaurant very small and we were sat right but the entrance to the toilet and kitchen so there were constantly people walking past. Plates also cleared extremely quickly which I find very irritating in a restaurant. We hadn't even finished the side dishes before they were trying to clear them away. Also being persistently being called 'ladies' every time we were asked if we wanted anything got a bit annoying. Not a relaxing restaurant by any means."
    dined on 20/02/2014
  • "Booked for an early dinner. Was shown the full menu but had to ask for the set menu. The staff were polite and attentive without being intrusive but did manage to serve the table next to us with the wrong starter. Main course was wonderful but you do have to pay for side dishes over and above the fixed menu price. Dessert was similarly good however we were also brought an incorrect dish. Being british (and it looking lovely anyway) we didn't think it worth mentioning. An enjoyable evening."
    dined on 10/03/2014
  • "Foxtrot Oscar has been a genuinely 'local' restarant since I can remember. It is small, buzzy, relaxed and fun. The waiting staff are attentive but quite casual, happy to advise on the menu and wine and look like they enjoy being a part of something surpisingly intimate for a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. The menu has something like 8 starters and 8 mains. The food is good - I had a perfectly cooked and generous piece of cod. The steaks are likewise high quality and big! Expect to pay £55 a head with wine."
    dined on 11/03/2014
  • "To be honest the food was good but the service was terriable and the staff forgot my girlfriends birthday platter which I ordered a week ago I had birthday voucher £75 pound then getting told we could only choose off one menu giving us drinks for a deal before they had Evan seen the voucher and when we where greeted we where told to go dowm the rd as our table wasn't ready very rude and took forever to get our mains I would not go back"
    dined on 08/03/2014
  • "Went there for Sunday Roast with my husband and I had the Pan Fried Gnocchi, the vegetarian option. Both were delicious and very good, satisfying portions. Staff was extremely attentive and service was fast. The chairs are a bit old and the place would look much nicer if they were changed. Overall, it was a great experience."

  • "I was looking for a new place to try, a short walk from Sloane Square, and happened upon FO through toptable. A most accommodating staff and enjoyable meal, along with a surprise free drink for booking through this site. Great result! We'll be back..."
    dined on 07/03/2014
  • "Arrived with high expectations, left disappointed. The food was good but nothing amazing. The biggest let down was the decor/furniture in the restaurant, the chairs were ripped and everything was very worn out. Service was ok but some sides never arrived and then they appeared on the bill. Could be a great little place, just needs a revamp."
    dined on 22/02/2014
  • "We had booked a table for lunchtime on Saturday to round off a weekend in London to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was wonderful from the minute we walked through the door, and the waiters remained attentive but not too in-your-face throughout. The food was delicious, starting with the warm, freshly baked bread right until the desserts. We would definitely consider another visit next time we are in London, it was a perfect way to celebrate without being too formal."
    dined on 01/03/2014
  • "We had a lovely evening eating here. The staff were very attentive although not as knowledgeable about the food as I would have expected. The food itself was excellent though and we would definitely consider returning."
    dined on 01/03/2014
  • "Excellent food, service, ambience. Knowing Chef Ramsey's penchant for colorful lsnguage, you can guess what FO stands for. This restaurant though is most excellent."

  • "We had an amazing meal here on Friday night. We were greeted by very friendly, warm & lovely staff. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent & just the right amount. We can't wait to go back again. Thank you."

  • "I rave about Gordon Ramsey to everyone but on this occasion it was the first time going to one of his restaurants and I felt very let down there was very little flavours in the food that we had !! We have got a Italian restaurant close by were I live in Mansfield and the food there is beautiful and when I booked foxtrot I was expecting something better then this but I was so disappointed with the food and how it tasted I would have rated my local resteruant a 4 out of 5 not like the 2 out of 5 I have rated here !! It's been an experience that I have wanted to do and now I have done it but I won't be going back"
    dined on 22/02/2014
  • "I went here on Saturday evening with four others. What a disappointment. The outside is so tired and needs painting at least!! Taken to the basement via a spiral staircase. Service was lacking and we poured our own wine all evening! Food ok. Toilets were a complete disgrace and I'm not exaggerating!. All in all I would never go again and would ask Gordon foxtrot Oscar Gordon to go himself and see what he is putting his guests through."
