A word from Galvin at Windows
Located high up on the 28th floor of the London Hilton at 22 Park Lane, Galvin at Windows restaurant and bar has become one of the capital’s most talked-about destination dining venues since its opening in 2006. Head Chef Joo Won and Chef Patron Chris Galvin have created seasonally inspired menus based around modern French haute cuisine that have now earned the restaurant its first, much-deserved Michelin Star. Renowned for its peerless views over the capital, including iconic sites like Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, Galvin at Windows is a restaurant where honest food and genuine hospitality are already a tradition after just a few short years. Because of the elegance of the room and the jaw-dropping 360-degree views, Galvin at Windows is certainly a destination restaurant with fine service and all the trimmings. But, clever Galvin staff, the set lunch menu and bar express menu bring this sublime French cuisine within reach.Continued

  • "I booked lunch for a special occasion. The choice was based on previous meals at Galvin At Windows. On all of these former occasions the view, the service and the quality of food was excellent. On this most recent visit the venue and its staff exceeded all previous experiences. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The accompanying champagne (part of the deal) was excellent. The staff added to our event by professional friendly service. Value for money was outstanding. Janet Veale"

  • "Galvin at Windows never disappoints us. Fantastic food, service and ambience. Accompanied by truly the best view of London! Our absolute favourite restaurant in the world!!"

  • "We went to Galvins for a celebratory birthday lunch. I had advised the restaurant it was a special occassion so when we arrived we were seated at the best table in the house - overlooking Hyde Park. From the moment we entered the restaurant we loved it. All the waiting staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We chose the special toptable menu which was really good value for money. Of course we ended up spending a lot more having extra wine, sparkling water, coffee and digestifs but it didn't matter as we had had a lovely day and one we will always remember. The food was wonderful, only small portions but for lunch that was all that we needed, especially as it was 3 courses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. "

  • "Fabulous birthday meal, staff were excellent and did everything they could to make it a special occasion. Food was perfectly judged, portions great for an indulgent foodie lunch and the little extra's delicious. Will definitely be returning. "

  • "My partner and I went to celebrate her PHD and asked for a table by the window - this is recommended as not all tables are by the windows. Waiters were exceptional and made sure we were both happy with our food and drink. Would recommend this to friends and family for celebratory meals/special occasions. "

  • "Second time here, but a bit of a gap between. Service was faultless, food was excellent, the views are of course stunning on a clear Easter evening with a cocktail or two. We had a wonderful meal from the a la Carte menu. For starters we both had scallops with lemongrass foam.... amazing flavour combinations and thoroughly enjoyed For main we had the Cumberland beef with oxcheek, and the Lamb. The beef was moist and tasty, and the oxcheek was amazing, falling apart and full of flavour. lamb was also excellent. Will be here again with hopefully less of a gap this time"

  • "Gavin at Windows is a restaurant with a beautiful view. worth going for a lunch or brunch in a sunny day! Service is perfect, attentive and friendly. The food...I was expecting more, much more. It is good and with the spring offer is also good value for lunch. It is not special, but good. I would recommend it more for the ambience than the food."

  • "Great service. Very accommodating of my various allergies, one of which is garlic and hard to avoid. Perfectly cooked food. Set lunch menu great value. "

  • "What a disappointment. Booked for lunch with a friend the spring offer of 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine for £29. Bargain! Despite being half empty we did not get the window table we had requested. I guess that's because we booked the cheap offer! Service throughout was very poor. Our white wine was brought long before we'd finished our G&T so was warm by the time our starters turned up. Twice waiters tried to give us food that was for other tables. We were given a coat check ticket that was for another table. To top it all one of our credit cards was double charged. To be fair they spotted it before we left but took 20 mins to reverse it during which time we were not even offered complimentary coffee. Food OK but not 1star standard. "

  • "It was my husband's birthday so I treated him to Sunday lunch at Galvin at Windows in central London. The set menu offer was amazing and truly good value for money. The food and wine was tasty and enjoyable, with great presentation and reasonable choices. Without the offer I think it would be a little over priced. Staff were polite, attentive but not intrusive and kindly seated us at a window seat, which was appreciated as the view was worth it. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially with the offer."

  • "Very good meal and service. Good view, of course. Would definitely return but 2 hr seating a little tight on the rate of service they provide, so book later slots or go for lunch."

  • "Highly recommended. Had dinner with sister, who I reunited after not seeing each other for 6 years. Food was outstanding and so as view. If you like to impress your companion, either business or romance, this place would be the one of your top choice from London."

  • "The menu is well considered and the staff are attentive. The lift up to the 28th floor all adds the sense of occassion."

  • "Wonderful ambience and location with stunning views across London. Service was warm, charming and faultless. We had the menu prestige and our bill came to just over £200 for two - and we did not have many drinks. Standard of cooking was excellent, though portions of vegetables were minute. £5 extra for about a tablespoon of broccoli! Scallop starter was wonderful. The monkfish disappointed but the beef and ox cheek was very good. Notable absence of pork and poultry for the menu, which restricted my partner's choice considerably. Not sure about the herb ice creams in the desserts, though. Very good lounge bar- leave time to have a drink there beforehand and enjoy the stunning views."

  • "My husband & I booked dinner here very last minute. We chose the set menu with champagne. The food was beautiful, although the portions are on the small size! Flavours were amazing, & the chocolate mousse comes highly recommended. The restaurant setting is outstanding & the service faultless. If you get a chance to dine here, you must!"

  • "The food, surroundings and service is great as it has been on previous visits, however we went on a deal this time and it really felt like it. The attention to detail in the service simply wasn't there.. If you go, don't go on a deal.. You really don't save anything in the long run anyway..."

  • "Shame we didn't get a window view but the food & service were excellent! With the set deal, it's outstanding value too!"

  • "Galvin truly lived up to its reputation - and its Michelin star - with wonderful food and impeccable service. Every course was beautifully presented, and tasted just as good as it looked - and the little extras were lovely, as well. Wine is extremely pricey but well worth it. I'm not much of a red drinker, but the sommelier recommended a Rioja that was just beautiful and complimented my beef dish perfectly. There is a 2 hour turnaround on the tables, but, honestly, the service is so seamless, you never feel rushed. It's probably the most expensive meal I've ever had, so I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon, but the next occasion that merits a big splurge will be celebrated here."

  • "A special celebratory lunch for my family of five at Galvin at Windows was simply icing on the cake! Buckingham Palace followed by lunch at Galvin's could not be faulted. Food, service, ambience, a window table, very polite, friendly, & attentive staff made it perfect. We had the £50 option, 3 courses & half bot of wine with water & coffee. We enjoyed mackerel and duck for starters, lamb, cod & risotto for main course and a mixture of deserts & cheeses, all excellent. The accompanying wines were very good as were the coffees. Complementary course of chocolates, marshmallows and a very generous bottle of champagne only added to the occasion. Could not have asked for more, thank you to the GM Fred and all at Galvin's, we will return."

  • "The food was fantastic - beautifully cooked and presented. The service was attentive without being over fussy. We had the set lunch and the choice was excellent. As a starter I had the duck breast which was excellent - having being disappointed at another restaurant I was apprehensive but there was no need as it was perfect."

  • "Time your table for sunset and get unbeatable views of London in daylight then twinkling at night. Try the Amuse Bouche menu with wine for a special occasion as although pricey makes for a much more memorable evening."

  • "I held a Business Dinner for a party of four and our seating was for 2100. We did not get our main courses until nearly 2300 and by midnight the waiting staff were hovering over our table as they wanted to leave. This was a very high profile dinner for my business and the bill was over £600 for four people so not inexpensive. I thought the waiting staff were unprofessional, lacked discretion and the whole evening was quite stressful and not relaxed. The upsale on champagne was constant and I was interupted several times when in discussions which was most disconcerting."

  • "We enjoyed Galvins the other evening albiet a tad pricey. Atmosphere was fabulous and the table we sat at had a magnificent window view. Staff very friendly a great special occasion venue."
