The set meal was excellent - steak and thick chips so filling we didn't have room for pudding. The selection of wines by the glass was very interesting, and our waitress coped very well with our request to have several different wines by the glass.

Had a day planned in London so we booked Gaucho a Tower Bridge. The setting is stunning and we had a fabulous view of Tower Bridge from where we were sitting. We just had the lunch time menu which was reasonable at £26 a head for 3 courses. You have to have steak when you go to Gauchos and the rib eye did nit disappoint. You can of course have fish etc there are a lot lf non meat options but the steak is amazing. I choice the wrong pudding and was disappointed but had I not tried that my overall experience would have been 5/5 The service was quick and we were well looked after. If you ate off the main menu I Imagine you could spend a lot but as a treat it is well worth it for excellent steak.

I'd booked a table for my boyfriend's 21st birthday and had written this in the comments. When we arrived, we had a really friendly greeting, with everyone saying happy birthday etc. Our table was all ready for us, and we had been given the best table in the restaurant especially!! It was absolutely magical and a pleasure to be there. Of course Gaucho is expensive - but it is worth every penny. The food is absolutely flawless and so is the service! Outstanding!!!

From the moment we entered we were treated impeccably. The service here was outstanding. The style of the restaurant is classy and trendy and you feel you are entering a great venue. The view towards Tower Bridge is fantastic. All of the food was outstanding. Wine matching with the ceviche was good and the steak cut and flavour was perfect. I cannot over emphasise how good the service was. Our waitress Monica was perfect. It was of a standard that we have not experienced for quite some time. We will definitely return soon!

I had lunch there for a party of three. Great location and the service was excellent However, the food was nothing better than average; even the meat was nothing spectacular. I'm not especially tall at 6 feet, but I find the low chairs very uncomfortable.

Food and service at Gauchos was as good as ever. Two big drawbacks were (1)the restaurant was very dimly light to the point that we could not read our menus (2) the table for the 4 of us was too small to place all our order - we averaged only one side dish per person. These two factors detracted from the good food and service which represents poor value for a higher end priced restaurant.

Lovely steaks, delicious bread with chimichurri (which is free and means you don't really need a starter) Good service and a great view of tower bridge if you sit near the window. But the music playing was awful, bad, repetitive dance music - not really the atmosphere for dinner! I also think its a bit cheeky to charge £30-70 for steaks and include no sides! Everything we ate was good except the sweet potato which was bland and undercooked. Fillet steak is lovely and the pots of wine (75% of a bottle) are a good option if you struggle to get through a whole bottle.

We went here for my 21st birthday this weekend and chose it for our love of steak. We were certainly not disappointed here! The staff were attentive but also not intrusive and were very welcoming. The atmosphere was also nice, with a great view from our table. All of the courses we both had were exceptional, especially the tender steak. I would no doubt love to come here again and will be recommending to all my friends who are visiting London.

An enjoyable meal, with very knowledgeable staff. The wine could have done with some aeration, maybe be good to get some decanters or aerators to pour it through? The food was enjoyable, and worth going for, but for our budget a special treat rather than a 'just pop out for lunch' venue. We had a g&t and a beer for aperitif, shared empanadas (2) for starter, had the trio steak each, both with sauce, chips and shared a veg. A nice bottle of Malbec, one coffee and the truffle petit four rounded off our meal and spent £158.

This is my second visit to Gaucho Tower Bridge. Not as good as my first time, I doubt it's because we had lunch rather than dinner this time and they have to serve very quick. I told my husband they would show us the raw beef to help us on choosing our plate, and they didn't! Which they did show us on my first visit and to the couple sitting next to us after we ordered. A little bit disappointed as it is our honeymoon trip to London. And the service wasn't very good you could tell that they are in a rush and simply wanted us to eat our food and leave! Still, their steaks are good and I am willing to try again.

A rare day out in London for our family, so we treated ourselves to Goucho- we have all eaten at goucho restaurants before so expected a great time. First, our coats were dropped on the floor by the maître d, then our drinks from the bar were forgotton, the waitress did a trick of overfilling our water glasses so we needed 2 bottles not the 1 we asked for. The bread was taken before I'd finished 2 of our side dishes were forgotton, the chateaubriand wasn't cut as suggested and had to go back. We were also left for over half hour with dirty plates in front of us trying to ask for our bill. The plates were still there when we paid our bill. Although the food was faultless our visit was ruined & I wouldn't recommend or revisit this restaurant.

The food at Gaucho is very good, the meat is very high standard which you can tell just by the look of it. The lighting however is very bad, I could barely read the menu. Thankfully we had already had a look on the website beforehand. Overall it was a good experience, I wouldn't rush to go there again as I have had better steak and service elsewhere for a cheaper rate. However, I would recommend to friends and family as it is good food in a good location.

I have been to Gaucho Tower Bridge before and remember it being fantastic in terms of food and ambience which is why I returned with my boyfriend for a special occasion. The first disappointment was the seating- we had a very small 2-person table on the ground floor crammed into a line of other 2-person tables- it feels a bit like a production line focussed on maximum diners per square foot at the expense of a comfortable dining experience. The food was poor and certainly not worth the money and within a few minutes of arriving our steaks were cold. Hawksmoor is far better for a similar price. However our waitress Lucy was excellent- she took great care of us and managed to strike the perfect balance between attentive and over-bearing.

I am very happy to write Gaucho a review for our experience this weekend. I have been to other Gaucho restaurants before but not this one and my boyfriend has never dined at Gaucho previously. We booked for our 1 year anniversary, we were given a fabulous table upstairs over looking the river and tower bridge, the ambiance the mood in the restaurant was very relaxed, our table was private and not too close to other diners. Service was perfect, very friendly, attentive and informed. Food, as always at Gaucho was delicious. Our dessert even came with a "Happy Anniversary" message written in caramel. We felt very special and will definitely return

We were a little lost finding it as it was tucked away round the corner, so I rang to tell them and they seemed very helpful. I had specifically pre booked and asked for a table upstairs with a window view when we found it on arrival the woman at the desk said hang on while she was busy talking to a colleague. I told her our name and the got told that they had given away our table we would have to wait 25 mins because we were late. I told her that we had called to let them know we were lost and I was dismissed. When we got our seat the waitresses was very good we ordered the crab steak 3 sides a bottle of water and two drinks each. The whole meal for 2 was 120.30. Far to expensive for an ordinary steak no pudding or wine.

We had a lovely time at Gauchos whilst my cousin was visiting from Australia - great location and views of Tower Bridge whilst we ate. All waitress were knowledgable and polite, service wasn't the quickest but we were in no rush. The food and drink was lovely - a little out of my price range for a regular location to dine but for a special occasion the restaurant is beautiful! My only fault is that the music was very loud and we all found it difficult to hear our conversation.

We loved the steak. Closest we've come to argentinian steak over here. Only thing that let it down was the sides. The chips / beans really weren't that great and the malbec was quite pricey. That said if you want a big fat argentinian steak then this is the place to go.

I visited Gaucho a few times, the last time being a year or so ago. I have always had an enjoyable experience but this time was a huge disappointment. The food was average and although the waiter was nice and polite we were constantly trying to get his attention to ask for more drink or to order. I really feel standards have slipped and it has become far too commercial. For the price you pay, the whole experience should be a lot better.

I took my mother and teenage kids here for lunch at half term. It is a nice walk from the Tower of London over London Bridge to the restaurant. We realised we were going to be an hour early and when I rang they were happy to bring my reservation forward. Restaurant buzzy with great views of Tower Bridge. My daughter asked for her burger without bacon and cheese but it came with both but no caramelized onions that were billed as coming with it. The waitress did not understand the problem so we had to get one who spoke better English to deal with it. Otherwise the service was good and the Maitre D' v good. Fabulous steak. The gnocchi from the Autumn menu was nice but a rather small portion - especially for a hungry teenager.

The food was fantastic and value for money, the wine selection was very good and we enjoyed our meal. The only negative that would put me off of going there again was simply the fact that we felt rushed by the staff to leave. We would happily of stayed there and had some more drinks but felt we had to leave even though the restaurant wasn't that busy.It was just a shame as we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere up to that point.Otherwise the steak I had was one of the finest I have ever eaten.

I booked a table at Gaucho for dinner on Saturday evening with my boyfriend and we had a brilliant night. We sat upstairs with a fantastic view of tower bridge which I think is definitely preferable to sitting downstairs. I asked specifically for a table with a view when I booked and although tables are usually allocated on arrival, they accommodated my request. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional too. We were not rushed at all and the waitress was there without being too there. I couldn't recommend highly enough.

I cannot say anything bad about the food it was lovely but the service was atrocious , we arrived on time for our table to be met by a huge queue of people checking with reception . A few people in front if us I overheard telling reception they were half an hour early , we were told to go to the bar and we would be seated shortly we waited 25 minutes and the people who were early were seated before us !!!!! Basically we were ignored and it took 2 trips back to reception to finally be seated ! Not happy
