On the first Tuesday night of the month our ever-popular pub quiz takes place. The pub quiz started at The Harwood Arms many years ago is still a firm favorite with the locals, and a tradition we have kept in place, offering the same outstanding food in a fun, informal evening. Booking is always essential, and if you do not wish to participate we strongly recommend visiting us on another night.
The pub is a 5 minute walk from all bus stops and tube station at Fulham Broadway.
Permit & resident's parking before 8pm in the surrounding residential streets. Public transport/taxis strongly advised.
A word from Harwood Arms
The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment.
This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery.
The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.
Making this happen in the kitchen is a team of highly skilled passionate chefs staying true to the Michelin-Starred legacy Stephen Williams left behind.

Harwood Arms -
Best Restaurants in Fulham
Despite an ordinary starter which
claimed more than it was (yes there was some bone marrow with the Hereford snails but not so much as you would notice) & overpriced desserts, the meal is justly described as outstanding because of the shoulder of roe deer. It was specTACular!!! Seriously, this is a dish worth travelling from Surrey (me) & Norway (my guest) to sample. It is served with a small, violent sort of knife allowing one to hack into the meat in a Cro Magnon fashion, as befits the flavour. It is unfortunate that the waiter used the word 'jus' to describe the gravy which went with this simple but wonderful dish, but no amount of ill-judged flimflammery can detract from one of the finest meaty treats you can eat. Outstanding!"

Having left my booking for a table
for 4 in central London too late, I had to cast my net wider and ended up finding this wonderful gastropub (for want of a better word) in one of the more quiet parts of Fulham. As our party included friends from the US I hadn't seen in over ten years, I wanted somewhere suitable for conversation in addition to hopefully impressing their palates. I was immediately charmed by the relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail, which would later show to apply also to the food. All dishes were wonderful creations, superbly executed, using the best British ingredients, such as the Grilled Cornish squid with smoked tomato and fennel. The wine list is impressive. We left replete and impressed!"

We didn't want anything too heavy
but there wasn't any light lunch options. We did end up choosing from the bar snack menu which included the most fantastic scotch egg that I have ever tasted. We would now like to go back and have the proper dining experience choosing from the main menu."

This is the absolute best Sunday
roast I've ever had in London! The roast rib eye was excellent quality, cooked to perfection. We stuffed ourselves! Amazing! I can't say enough..............."
dined on 13/07/2014
Perhaps it should be call a
Gastropub. The fact that serves something different doesn't mean it deserves a Michellin Star as it increases customers expectations. Good place for puddings."
dined on 12/07/2014
We spent the evening of my 50y
birthday with core family dinner. Everything worked out to our hopes and full satisfaction"

We enjoyed our dinner at the out
of the way Harwood Arms VERY much. The food was excellent and puts the lie to the stereotypical notion that British Cuisine is unappetizing. The one disappointment was the lack of game on the menu as the advertised description of the restaurant fare seemed to stress there would be an abundance. This being said I would still give the Harwood Arms 9.5 out of 10 stars."
dined on 07/07/2014
Without fail Harwood Arms delivers
the goods. Varied and interesting menu, fantastic combination of flavours. And engaging service."
dined on 06/07/2014
Fantastic food. Lovely to see
chefs want to plate up something realt tasty! But the service could be better. We had a girl who seemed to be stressed. She left our table before we had a chance to ask her about the food and was unconcentated all the time. Didnt looked is in the eyes and hardly smiled. Since I work with service, I was suprised that this fine restaurant allowe there staff to behaive like this."
dined on 05/07/2014
Not at all pretentious, but food
as good as I've had at the best places in London! Very nice, casual atmosphere. The cured salmon starter was superb! I will definitely go back......it's on our favorites list!"
dined on 04/07/2014
Wed eve birthday dinner. Not much
choice of times when booking a week ahead and a 2 hour slot, though fairly empty actually. Had the special - snails (quite good) and steak (quite good). Wine list great - loved the £45 Rully. Lovely waitress who knew her stuff but forgot to bring bread, and the steak didn't come with bearnaise sauce as promised. Came a bit later - but tasted funny - as if they'd used the same pan or utensils with smoked bone marrow (which came with the steak). No visible tarragon or chervil in the bearnaise either. Steak came with potatoes (good) and onion rings (crispy but the thick onion slices almost steamed in the thick batter eater than fried). They did knock off the service, but overall I'm unlikely to return"

I love the place, anytime I come
to London I try to go there. It's a pub, with style, and a gourmet food experience. A little bit too expensive, I would say, but I like it anyway. Very good service. Thaknks"
dined on 01/07/2014
Snail appetizer was strong. It was
a flavor I was not accustomed to. The English muffins were wonderful. Pork and venison entrees were very good. Wouldn't order the ribeye again. The desserts were wonderful."
dined on 30/06/2014
Best Sunday roast we've had in a
long while! Service was fantastic."
dined on 29/06/2014
Fantastic evening meal after a
theatre trip. The food was really good, highlights were the venison main and raspberry doughnuts desert. All food was well presented and very tasty. The service was professional without loosing that important personal taste. The wine list was varied and allowed a choice for all tastes and budgets. Considering that we were eating at a high class establishment in London approx £150 for three courses of food for 4 and £45 for a good bottle of wine is fairly good value."
dined on 28/06/2014
This restaurant is very good ,
they have so good food and so good people to work there, My daugther and I was very happy to eat there. My older son recommended this place ."
dined on 25/06/2014
Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening
at the Harwood Arms. If you love food but want to eat in an informal setting then this is the place to come with a group of friends. The only down side is there is absolutely no parking in the area. The RB of Fulham and Hammersmith have the most confused system of parking in place (for residents only) and it is a nightmare to find any space."
dined on 21/06/2014
Good food, stylish and very
gastro. We went for an anniversary meal and they have us a lovely free dessert to celebrate, which was a nice touch. Only criticism would be the limited menu a but as per previous reviews, great venison scotch egg - a winner"
dined on 19/06/2014
Have never been let down at the
Harwood. Superb food with real taste, very efficient and welcoming service in a great environment. All right I admit it- I like it!"
dined on 17/06/2014
Fantastic family meal at the end
of a great day celebrating my daughter's 21st. Everything was top quality from the home made soda bread, delicious wood pigeon faggots, an excellent venison platter to share. The blade of beef had so much flavour and the desserts were great. Service friendly and relaxed - could not have asked for more."
dined on 14/06/2014
Michelin-starred food but in a
very relaxed atmosphere, where you can be yourself, enjoy wonderful wine and truly fabulous food combinations. The staff are brilliant - they know their stuff and have the perfect balance of friendliness and attentiveness. It's not a suprise that it's tough to get a table but, man, it's worth it!"
dined on 14/06/2014
Excellent restaurant, back to
basics, one or two good ingredients are central to each dish. The wine list is good value, but also enjoyed the fact that you can have a beer if you like."
dined on 10/06/2014
Expect limited menu. But a special
was saddle of venison for two. This was excellent... Noisy."
dined on 07/06/2014
We were running late and felt a
bit harried so I wasn't expecting to enjoy this dinner. I couldn't be more wrong. The ambiance and staff makes the whole experience very relaxed and understated. The food is superb, they really know their way in cooking game meat (the rabbit is better than Jean George NYC). The wine pairing recommendations reflect each of our pallet and compliments the food swimmingly. Food taste are well-balanced and considered. They even managed to make me rethink my stance on Scotch egg! I even enjoyed my dessert even I don't have a sweet tooth. Most importantly I appreciate Harwood Arms going above and beyond to make it a most enjoyable experience--which ultimately is what we are after. "

Great British/European food,
relaxed surroundings, lovely wine, good company and friendly staff. What more can you ask for? "

Great place for a relaxed sunday
lunch. Food was delicious, good amount of options, nice specials."

We had a great meal here on
Saturday. The atmosphere was great - nice and relaxed. The service was brilliant, all the food absolutely delicious (in particular the shoulder and haunch of deer to share!), great wine list and overall very enjoyable. We have recommended it to all our friends and hope to come back soon!"
dined on 31/05/2014
I thought the food was good,
although the venison we shared was very tasty but a little overdone and thus a bit dry. The service, which is quite informal, is excellent. When we arrived the noise level was fine as it wasn't very busy, but by the time we left it had got busy and very noisy. I would go back again but would eat early so the noise isn't too disturbing."
dined on 28/05/2014
We have been coming to the Harwood
Arms for years. We love it here. Fresh food with mouthwatering homemade bread that I eat too much of every time. The team are really friendly too. Although the prices have edged up over time, we just love coming back. The high quality food in a relaxed atmosphere is worth it! Try the Scotch egg and also order one of the special meat boards for two (eg venison or Sunday Roast)! "
dined on 25/05/2014
food was great! service was meh,
ambience was fab! small portions for the price. Had a good time overall!"
dined on 21/05/2014
This restaurant is excellent for a
business lunch or a romantic dinner. Highly recommended."
dined on 09/05/2014
The food was very nice and the
staff were friendly. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, it was not especially expensive and the whole experience was refreshingly devoid of pretentiousness. It was a nice venue for my lunch with a friend, but there were a few families and businesspeople in as well. The pub is set in a residential area that could be easier to get to, but it wasn't a difficult walk from West Brompton."
dined on 08/05/2014
We enjoyed a delicious Sunday
dinner at the Harwood Arms. While the menu is small, all of the options were enticing. The focus on local game was particularly interesting as there were many options that would not be available in our home town. From starters through dessert, the food was consistently excellent and the service outstanding."
dined on 04/05/2014
Attentive and knowledgable staff
set the tone for a plentiful and delicious set lunch. £25 for 3 courses, is truly outstanding value for the quality of the food. Take the afternoon off and enjoy!"
dined on 02/05/2014
..it's not easy to find a really
good place to eat around Earl's Court.. The Harwood Arms is an unlikely place to hold a Michelin star but it does and I can see why. An idea that sprang from the minds behind the Ledbury and the Pot Kiln, The Harwood Arms concentrates on bringing quality ingredients from its well connected friends in the country into town and serving them creatively and very competently to the clients of what looks and feels like an old London corner tavern treated to the gastropub makeover. Food and service were first rate.. it's casual and bright and friendly and the cooking was superb. I'll be back."
dined on 28/04/2014
I had read about this place as
beeing a venison specialist. The menu on the website was diferent to the one we found on the location, only pigeon as venison available. The starters were very good. The meat instead was too raw and uncooked. The staff understood and took in our comments, not charging us for this course. They then offered us a dessert. On the whole, we were expecting something much better. "
dined on 26/04/2014
My first visit to the Harwood
Arms, with 3 neighbours, we wanted a restaurant with great food, but that allowed you to bring your own wine. £15 corkage is reasonable for high quality wine, and the maître d' was excellent and charming about storing and serving. The ambience was relaxed and friendly; the food was very well done. Seasonal ingredients (eg pressed lamb shoulder with dandelion, muntjack shoulder served 3 ways each of them delicious- my only regret was it was a sharing dish ...) served simply and very well. We will be back with some more fine wine, and high expectations."
dined on 24/04/2014
We were recommended Harwood Arms
by my son's friend and we was also aware enough to book table 2 months before our visit. When we approached the pub, we were a little bit worried, if we were in right place (very peaceful, close to sleepy environment). From the first minute we step in we felt ourselves very welcomed, service was exellent and laid back. Everyone of us four liked meals very much. We recommend warmly the place for London visitors!"
dined on 21/04/2014
A friend and I had dinner on
Easter Sunday at the Harwood Arms. I haven't been in a few years and the staff and ambience were great as always. I personally wasn't as drawn to the menu as usual, so I'd rate the food good not excellent. However, we had a very pleasant meal and I'm sure I'll be back as I believe it's one of the best restaurants in South West London."
dined on 20/04/2014
Outstanding food and service.
Truly a 'best of British' menu allowing you be adventurous and try something new. "
