A word from Harwood Arms
The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment.
This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery.
The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.
Making this happen in the kitchen is a team of highly skilled passionate chefs staying true to the Michelin-Starred legacy Stephen Williams left behind.

  • "It was our first night out without the little one, just the two of us like we use to do... The service was outstanding a french girl was taking care of us all the time in a correct manner, the food was fantastic!!! Totally recommended to anyone that enjoys the pleasure of food in a good place!!! The best gastropub ever!! Even better than the H. Blumental one on Maidenhead!"

  • "Our first visit to Harwood Arms was on a Friday night. It's a lovely little pub tucked away on a quiet residential road near Fulham Broadway. The food was exceptionally good. For our main we shared a 9 hour braised shoulder of roe deer. The crispy garlic potatoes were also heavenly. Sadly we were too stuffed for dessert. Service was okay but very impersonal and could've been a bit more friendly given how complimentary we were about the food."

  • "We gad a great time, the food was delicious. That's a rare place where to eat game !"
    dined on 13/08/2014
  • "We live in the neighbourhood and have been wanting to try this restaurant forever. Service is very attentive, personal and friendly without being OTT. Our party of 4 went for the seabream, middle white pork, and the deer for two - all of which were an absolute success. Our friends are frequent customers and we will definitely be going back. The ambience has that English pub feel, very relaxed and warm and we notice you can even bring your doggie - which for me is a plus. Had I known, I'd have brought my dog too."
    dined on 13/08/2014
  • "Everything was nice from the service, the ambience, not that loud, the wine and real good food. We tried lamb and monkfish and both were delicious, not forgetting an amazing salmon started full of different textures and I am going to remember desserts with a strange taste that make you want more and more..."
    dined on 11/08/2014
  • "I went with my friend for dinner as I had heard that the Harwood Arms was worth a visit and was staying in West Brompton. The restuarant is light and airy with ample space between the tables. The service is good and there is a wide choice of meun. It is not overpriced given the quality of the food. We had the beef platter, 2 people sharing, and it was delicious. Cripsy garlic roast potatoes, succulent beef and beautifully cooked vegetables. The dessertd were tasty and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend the Harwood and would go there again."

  • "Had a decent meal here on a quiet Monday evening - but perhaps not up to the standard I was anticipating. While the provenance of the ingredients could not be faulted I felt the dishes lacked a bit of the finesse and lightness of touch I would expect. For a venue reviewed so highly, I wanted to enjoy this so much more than I did."
    dined on 11/08/2014
  • "I've been wanting to go to the Harwood Arms for a while and it didn't let us down at all. Situated in an unassuming neighbourhood, it served excellent quality of food and by far the best pub/gastropub food I've had in the UK - HANDS DOWN!"
    dined on 10/08/2014
  • "Amazing Sunday Roast Special in London's rare and wonderful Michellin Star pub"
    dined on 10/08/2014
  • "I didn't find anything that any other Pub in the Country, could't manage to make on the same very good level, it only should need a law obliging any Pub manager or owner that fall from 5 to 4 on igenic rate, to come here or other recognised Masters Pubs, for a 6 weeks learning."
    dined on 10/08/2014
  • "Local country style pub done at a high level! Wine list has a varied collection"
    dined on 09/08/2014
  • "Harwood Arms never fails to disappoint me and my guests. Probably the best Gastro Pub in town unless you favour buzzing atmosphere of Anchor and Hope which can't be booked. The venison Scotch Eggs were so delightful that my American friend who tried Scotch Egg for the first time, he wanted to do a 'take away' some. Highly recommended for people enjoy good hearty (and gamey) food. Excellent for your foreign friends who wants taste of very best British."

  • "We've been visiting the Harwood for a few years now and we were still really impressed. We love the laid back atmosphere, the friendly but well informed staff- particularly the sommelier who recommended some wonderful wine. The roe deer for two is a classic Harwood dish but it was still slightly different from the last time we ordered it- and was even more delicious. Food is good value compared to other Michelin starred restaurants in town. We were a bit disappointed with our choice of dessert (the donuts with raspberry jam were a bit heavy) but aside from that another outstanding meal!"
    dined on 08/08/2014
  • "Excellent food and great service in a relaxed but lovely setting make this the perfect place for a special meal."
    dined on 08/08/2014
  • "I was not disappointed at all with the food here! Truly fine dinning but in a more homely pub setting. Service was outstanding."
    dined on 07/08/2014
  • "This Michelin starred pub is well located in a leafy area of Fulham. The clientele and staff sit around the mid-30s and we felt that the welcome was slightly pretentious. We have dined here before but not recently. The menu is interesting and unusual with excellent venison and squid. However the food was like warm and therefore fell short of what we expected. Extensive wine list and summer specials. We felt that they has become too complacent and have lost their edge. Around £100 per head."
    dined on 06/08/2014
  • "A special experience for an Italian tourist like me, representing a real break from international food (more and more similar in most parts of the world) and from conventional ambiences. The quality of food and service is without any doubt excellent, and the place is charming, with a very English soul. It isn't a cheaper option, especially for a scrimper like me, but it is really worth it."
    dined on 04/08/2014
  • "We love, love, love coming back here time and again. Such a relaxed friendly atmosphere with outstanding food. We bring family and friends here regularly. A great place for best of British food too as much is locally sourced, and they even have their own veg garden on the roof!"
    dined on 01/08/2014
  • "While the location is a bit out of the way, this is our 2nd visit in 6 months. We like the atmosphere, food and beer."

  • "A very comfortable dinning excperience, great food and service.. Will definitly comeback when i'm in London"

  • "We had dinner with my wife at Harwood Arms and it was exactly what we had wished for. An intimate, thoughtful, friendly, wonderful food experience. It's one of the best food experiences I've ever had. Harmwood Arms mixes the warmth and friendliness of a pub with the thoughtfulness of local ingredients carefully chosen and an impressive range of cooking techniques. We'll be back next town we will be in London"
    dined on 28/07/2014
  • "Despite an ordinary starter which claimed more than it was (yes there was some bone marrow with the Hereford snails but not so much as you would notice) & overpriced desserts, the meal is justly described as outstanding because of the shoulder of roe deer. It was specTACular!!! Seriously, this is a dish worth travelling from Surrey (me) & Norway (my guest) to sample. It is served with a small, violent sort of knife allowing one to hack into the meat in a Cro Magnon fashion, as befits the flavour. It is unfortunate that the waiter used the word 'jus' to describe the gravy which went with this simple but wonderful dish, but no amount of ill-judged flimflammery can detract from one of the finest meaty treats you can eat. Outstanding!"
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "Having left my booking for a table for 4 in central London too late, I had to cast my net wider and ended up finding this wonderful gastropub (for want of a better word) in one of the more quiet parts of Fulham. As our party included friends from the US I hadn't seen in over ten years, I wanted somewhere suitable for conversation in addition to hopefully impressing their palates. I was immediately charmed by the relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail, which would later show to apply also to the food. All dishes were wonderful creations, superbly executed, using the best British ingredients, such as the Grilled Cornish squid with smoked tomato and fennel. The wine list is impressive. We left replete and impressed!"
    dined on 23/07/2014
  • "We didn't want anything too heavy but there wasn't any light lunch options. We did end up choosing from the bar snack menu which included the most fantastic scotch egg that I have ever tasted. We would now like to go back and have the proper dining experience choosing from the main menu."
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "This is the absolute best Sunday roast I've ever had in London! The roast rib eye was excellent quality, cooked to perfection. We stuffed ourselves! Amazing! I can't say enough..............."
    dined on 13/07/2014
  • "Perhaps it should be call a Gastropub. The fact that serves something different doesn't mean it deserves a Michellin Star as it increases customers expectations. Good place for puddings."
    dined on 12/07/2014
  • "We spent the evening of my 50y birthday with core family dinner. Everything worked out to our hopes and full satisfaction"
    dined on 07/07/2014
  • "We enjoyed our dinner at the out of the way Harwood Arms VERY much. The food was excellent and puts the lie to the stereotypical notion that British Cuisine is unappetizing. The one disappointment was the lack of game on the menu as the advertised description of the restaurant fare seemed to stress there would be an abundance. This being said I would still give the Harwood Arms 9.5 out of 10 stars."
    dined on 07/07/2014
  • "Without fail Harwood Arms delivers the goods. Varied and interesting menu, fantastic combination of flavours. And engaging service."
    dined on 06/07/2014
  • "Fantastic food. Lovely to see chefs want to plate up something realt tasty! But the service could be better. We had a girl who seemed to be stressed. She left our table before we had a chance to ask her about the food and was unconcentated all the time. Didnt looked is in the eyes and hardly smiled. Since I work with service, I was suprised that this fine restaurant allowe there staff to behaive like this."
    dined on 05/07/2014
  • "Not at all pretentious, but food as good as I've had at the best places in London! Very nice, casual atmosphere. The cured salmon starter was superb! I will definitely go back......it's on our favorites list!"
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "Wed eve birthday dinner. Not much choice of times when booking a week ahead and a 2 hour slot, though fairly empty actually. Had the special - snails (quite good) and steak (quite good). Wine list great - loved the £45 Rully. Lovely waitress who knew her stuff but forgot to bring bread, and the steak didn't come with bearnaise sauce as promised. Came a bit later - but tasted funny - as if they'd used the same pan or utensils with smoked bone marrow (which came with the steak). No visible tarragon or chervil in the bearnaise either. Steak came with potatoes (good) and onion rings (crispy but the thick onion slices almost steamed in the thick batter eater than fried). They did knock off the service, but overall I'm unlikely to return"
    dined on 02/07/2014
  • "I love the place, anytime I come to London I try to go there. It's a pub, with style, and a gourmet food experience. A little bit too expensive, I would say, but I like it anyway. Very good service. Thaknks"
    dined on 01/07/2014
  • "Snail appetizer was strong. It was a flavor I was not accustomed to. The English muffins were wonderful. Pork and venison entrees were very good. Wouldn't order the ribeye again. The desserts were wonderful."
    dined on 30/06/2014
  • "Best Sunday roast we've had in a long while! Service was fantastic."
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "Fantastic evening meal after a theatre trip. The food was really good, highlights were the venison main and raspberry doughnuts desert. All food was well presented and very tasty. The service was professional without loosing that important personal taste. The wine list was varied and allowed a choice for all tastes and budgets. Considering that we were eating at a high class establishment in London approx £150 for three courses of food for 4 and £45 for a good bottle of wine is fairly good value."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "This restaurant is very good , they have so good food and so good people to work there, My daugther and I was very happy to eat there. My older son recommended this place ."
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Harwood Arms. If you love food but want to eat in an informal setting then this is the place to come with a group of friends. The only down side is there is absolutely no parking in the area. The RB of Fulham and Hammersmith have the most confused system of parking in place (for residents only) and it is a nightmare to find any space."
