Winner of the Time Out Award for 'Best New Restaurant 2011', Hawksmoor Seven Dials has wowed fans and critics alike ever since it opened in 2010. Tucked away in a quiet street, the restaurant is loacted in the old Watney-Combe brewery and has retained some of the building's original features.

Situated in the heart of London's Theatreland, Hawksmoor Seven Dials also has express pre and post theatre menus. The bar is ideal for casual burgers and hot dogs or for some of the best cocktails in London, including old school drinks and new.

We came here for our 1st wedding anniversary and didn't regret it. Amazing Manhattan cocktails for 2, the Tamworth belly ribs were out of this world, steaks cooked perfectly, wine list is extensive, service was perfect (not too much, not too little and genuinely friendly people who seemed passionate about the food & drinks they served), atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming. Loved it, highly recommend this for a special meal. It's not cheap but you don't feel ripped off!

We decided to take one of our Danish friends to experience a Sunday roast and were not disappointed with the food we were served. Massive Yorkshire pudding, very generous tender chunk of beef and the crispest/fluffiest potatoes I've ever had the pleasure of eating, PLUS the gravy oh man the gravy. Considering it's the only meal you'll need to eat 20 quid was actually pretty good value for money. The roast is not actually well marked on the menus so just go in and ask for it. The service let us down a bit the waitress came across as uninterested and we actually felt a bit looked down upon by her - plus getting the cheque took an age. But all that was worth it to eat the roast (and I'll be back again once my stomach has digested this one)!

Another visit to Hawksmoor - back to seven dials as it's been my favourite. Alas, not up to usual high standards - maybe more focus on Knightsbridge at the mo? Still good and enjoyable though. More importantly -- how can my account be "de-activated" yet I'm being asked to review this Saturdays meal? Sort it out Open Table!!!!!

had a 2 course meal for 24 quid. the bone marrow as a starter was fantastic, and then i had the rib-eye for my main with triple cooked chips on the side. portions were huge, and i had initially wanted the 3 course set for 27 pounds, but decided against it in the end. great value!

I think one indication of a good restaurant is that I could have been presented with any of the dishes on the menu and been equally happy. We had a superbly cooked prime rib to share, beef dripping fries, mushrooms and salad and everything was just as it should be. Attentive & pleasant service, interesting and well-made cocktails to start and heavenly salted caramel rolos to finish. What could be better than that?

Booked Hawksmoor because of its location and fabulous reviews it had previously received and we weren't disappointed. We went for an early birthday dinner with our teenage daughters and have to say the attention we received was very attentive without being in your face. As for the food we could not fault it, we all came out having thoroughly enjoyed our meal - best steaks we have tasted in a long time - perfect. Could not fault the whole experience.

This was around the 5th time I have visited Hawksmoor & I was again blown away by the quality of the food. Yes, it is an expensive meal, but it's ideal for any steak lover or a special occasion. The steaks at Hawksmoor are comfortably the best I've ever had in this country. Recognition has to be shared amoungst the chefs & the suppliers (The Ginger Pig) for the outstanding quality. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The cocktails also are a massive bonus, very well thought through.

In amongst all the meat were some very good options for a veggie - brilliant macaroni cheese, well flavoured tomato salad and green salad, and excellent salter caramel rolos for desert. Lovely cocktails and wines too. Definitely recommend for meat eaters, and good enough non-meat dishes to take a de-sensitised vegetarian too.

I came here for a special evening and the food did not disappoint the atmosphere did. The place was not overly busy, there were plenty of free tables but the place was the building has got this ability to echo everyones conversation. Multiplying everyones conversation plus the resonating conversations bouncing off the walls made it near impossible to have any level of conversation. It really felt like a 'eat your food and go' kind of restaurant which was not what i was expecting for the price. In order to have a conversation with the person less than 1m away we had to lean in and pretty much shout there was just too much noise.

For the main course we ordered the prime rib of beef for 2,and the waitress suggested the weight. When the rib came up it was full of fat and gristle, it was the worst prime rib I have ever had. I told the waitress I was not happy with the rib, and she had the cost taken off the bill, and offered us a complimentary drink. I was not after a cheap meal and our evening was ruined. I took the time to send a feedback to the owners and ask for there comments, but I did not get a reply. What I cant understand is the good reviews this restaurant gets, if you are prepared to pay these prices for a meal there are plenty of good quality restaurants in the WC2 area offering excellent food and service

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were made to feel welcome and catered to immediately. The starter was beautiful with generous portions, me and my gf shared. The main was out of this world and the sides went with it perfectly, we couldn't finish it and was even given a doggy bag to take the remainder home. When booking I made them aware it was my gf's birthday and for dessert they brought out her tart with a candle in it and gave us a glass of champagne on the house. The service was amazing from our waitress, and she was incredibly accommodating. The atmosphere was very relaxing, almost like being on holiday. We will definitely be back again

I booked this restaurant basically based on the reviews, TimeOut presence, etc... but it was disappointing from a gastronomic point of view. The guy with beard offered a fab service (he is the only one), the Sunday roast was not good enough - the Yorkshire pudding was big, but overcooked and tasteless, the potatoes were dry, the greens were unexpected in a negative way and the meat portion was not large enough. I really was expecting something better... I was inviting a very special person!

I took my elderly parents to London, their first visit since the 1960's & was naturally anxious that nothing would spoil the day. I have been to Hawksmoor several times before & was again delighted with the friendly service, relaxed atmosphere & of course the excellent food & wine available. My parents, who bless them, were well out of their comfort zone initially, were shown every consideration by the attentive & personable staff, thus quickly settling down into a really enjoyable family meal. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the toilets received high praise from mum, who has a keen eye for such detail! I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending this as a family lunchtime venue, which is easily accessible for the infirm.

Went here for a great roast dinner. Incredibly tasty with a nice selection of sides to compliment the meat. Only downside was the size, for £19.50 it was a big portion. I would rather spend £15 and have less food and have the option to add on a pudding for £5. My friends both chose puddings but it was a whole tart! Again, plenty for two and at £8 it wasn't what I would call great value. That said for a special occasion, its a great place to go and treat yourself just make sure you go there when you are hungry!

I have been meaning to go to hawksmoor for years and was really disappointed. The food was good but if you take the prices they charge into account, you could not describe it anymore than average. Plenty of salt to try and create some flavour. The waitress was lovely but had little passion for the food. It felt like eating in one of the chain restaurants that have consumed our high streets and I was expecting something more.
