We booked early and really looked forward to it - but were greeted at the door with a clipped request to agree to leave within 2 hours. The waiter took our food order while we deliberated on the wine, and 5 mins later, the food started to appear. We sent it back, and ordered some wine. The food reappeared (and was sent back) twice more, at 5 minute intervals, and still no wine. All hot dishes except the ham croquettes were cool to cold - roasted aubergine & red peppers refrigerator cold. The waiter offered to replace it, but this dish did not reappear until very late, and was no different. There was a sense of no connection between the floor and the kitchen, and the patrons were definitely patronised! Lots of charm, but no action.

Authentic tapas made with beautifully sourced ingredients, reasonable prices, pleasant service in a lovely spacious restaurant. Given the bustle and central location, I particularly liked the fact that you can book a table and stay for the whole evening. It added up to a great evening.

I know it is called Iberica Marylebone but that is stretching Marylebone's boundaries in my opinion. Great Portland Street would be more accurate. Nevertheless, it matters not a jot, as this is a great buzzy restaurant with reasonable prices and a buzzing atmosphere. Do not miss the asparagus smothereed in truffle oil on manchego sourdough or the fab serrano croquettas. Other good dishes were the squid with aoili, the tomato bread and the miljohas of smoked aubergine. The burnt caramel rice pudding was excellent, too. Wine list is one the pricey side, but they are good wines. They also very sweetly gave us a glass of cava each as it was my birthday.

We wanted somewhere close to Regent's Park as we were going to the open-air theatre there and this fitted the bill nicely. Someone has put a lot of money into Iberica - this place is very nicely done out and certainly looks the part. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the food - disappointing patatas bravas aside - was very good. Lovely Verdejo wine too (the cheaper one of the two). Recommend the squid, the smoked aubergine and the chorizo lollipops.

A spacious, airy and light venue with excellent food and knowledgeable waiters. The tables are also set out in a way that means you have much more privacy than is normally the case and you do not feel your neighbours are listening in to your conversation. Would strongly recommend and will be going again.

Bought a friend here for a birthday meal, a new experience for us both. We loved the food and the service provided definitely stood out. We had a very attentive, polite waiter who brought good tapas recommendations. The cocktail drinks were a little bit pricey but delicious - diva cocktail recommended for any sweet-tooth diners out there. The food was very tasty and served in a reasonably good time. I would recommend the chicken with the rosemary potatoes and the bravas potatoes with Aeolia sauce. Although we went slightly over our 2 hours allocated time, we were never rushed out or hinted to get the bill. The staff let us dine in peace and at our own pace. Food was excellent and the service even better. Would definitely come here again.

We ordered the half-and-half plate of cheese and meats, and then four tapas dishes and this satisfied the two of us. The twice-cooked lamb was excellent, as were the ham croquettes (we ordered the small portion), while the roasted aubergine and peppers was not as tasty as we expected. They served a nice plate of baguette with olive oil to dip in, and this was a very helpful way of getting through all the meat and cheese! Although busy, we didn't feel pushed out the door, and service was quite relaxed but prompt. The Rioja Crianza was a great companion to this food selection. I'd go back, have some of our newly discovered favourites and do some more exploring.

I've eaten at Iberica on a number of occasions in the past - I love the ambience and have usually found both the service and the food to be very good. On this occasion I was very disappointed about both. The service was really poor and on several occasions I had to get up to remind the waiters to bring what we had ordered. When the food arrived, it really was not up to the usual standard. All very disappointing!

Ate here at weekend. Food was great. Had selection of tapas. Recommend pardon peppers and ham croquettes. We tried to order cocktails but waiter had no knowledge of the bar or what was on the menu, which resulted in the wrong drinks being delivered 3 times. Also had to remind staff we were missing a dish. Nice staff, but know the menu if you're offering cocktails!

  • Bad experience at Iberica

    Dined on 6/8/2014
Big disappointment from this nicely designed Tapas bar. We were 4P on a Wednesday night, after moving tables, as our first one was near the toilets, we asked for wine recommendations, the options we got were both bad... we ordered a bottle of the 3rd reco. which was not more than okish. Food wise 2 or 3 dishes from the not very big menu were sold out, even a classic Spanish potato dish had 2 left for the night. We ordered about 10 different tapas, not even 1 was great! most of them were ok, and 2 - the trout and the black ink rice were terrible. The serice was all over the place, it's nice to have Spanish waiters in a tapas bar but they should understand English...overall one of the worst food experiences in london. Will not come back

Seems to be authentic tapas type food. But remember it is tapas and when you look at the bill you might be a bit surprised at the high cost. Cocktails, drinks and wine list is very good indeed. Very friendly and efficient service that was only let down by having to be reminded to bring the ordered coffee. despite my reference to the price , it was a good and enjoyable evening out. On the pudding front the Spanish rice pudding is just divine.
