Diner Reviews
  • "Food was tasty and nice twist on other tapas places. Staff friendly and very helpful. Great venue."
    dined on 29/07/2014
  • "Simply great food, well prepared. Creative without being fussy, Authentic without being slavishly tied to what has gone before. Service polite efficient and knowledgeable. Wine list a bit on the expensive side but some wines here you will ONLY find in Spain. Ask the waiter for some help to find one you did not try before. They are so well selected you will not be disappointed."

  • ""I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.""

  • "Seems to be authentic tapas type food. But remember it is tapas and when you look at the bill you might be a bit surprised at the high cost. Cocktails, drinks and wine list is very good indeed. Very friendly and efficient service that was only let down by having to be reminded to bring the ordered coffee. despite my reference to the price , it was a good and enjoyable evening out. On the pudding front the Spanish rice pudding is just divine."

  • "Four of us ate here a few days ago for the first time. Very friendly service and nice ambience. I felt that the portions of food were very small and quite expensive for what they were, but maybe I'm out of touch with London restaurant prices."

  • "Iberica serves delicious tapas and sharing plates. The food was fresh and well presented. The tapas sizes were very small and a little expensive. Good wine list and atmosphere."

  • "This restaurant never disappoint me with their food; always great!! So I have proudly recommended it to lots of my friends and many do agreed after their visits ! BUT... their table policy are not slightly relax at all; once the 2hrs slot booking is up; the waiter can't wait to get rid of us with constant reminder even though the restaurant were pretty quiet that evening. We were having such a wonderful evening;and they just killed the spirit!!!"

  • "Lovely atmosphere and the ability to order and graze on tapas meant this was a very productive business meeting / meal. Service unobtrusive and attentive. Very enjoyable. Gluten free options identified which was very helpful"

  • "We love tapas and this was something special. The waiter was so friendly and gave great recommendations from the menu. We had a mix of well known and more unique dishes which were so tasty (some of the best tapas I've ever had). Great wine and loved the buzzy atmosphere (even on a Monday night). Not cheap but felt like great value all things considered. Will definitely be back again or maybe try an Iberica somewhere else in London."

  • "We really enjoyed having Sunday lunch at Iberica. A truly Spanish restaurant but with a modern touch, well adapted to British taste. All waiters and waitresses are Spanish and the service is really good. I would only say it is a bit expensive… £9 for a small portion of Jamon… the bill gets quickly to £100 for 2 people if including wine. Other than that, lovely meal and lovely restaurant!"

  • "Popped in for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. Staff were welcoming, chatty and friendly. Sangria was briliiant and a strong accompaniment to the ham boards. Croquettes were delicious."
    dined on 11/07/2014
  • "Had to wait a little while for our table even though we arrived early, once seated service was good, food came up as it was ready, all the usual Tapas Staples were there along with a couple of new things."
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "Took my parents to try something new and we had an excellent time. The staff were all exceptional and the food is good with reasonable portions for tapas. The Iberica hams are unsurprisingly a definite highlight with the wine list offering some great choices. Little touches like the red we ordered arriving at an excellent, warm temperature and the free bread with the meal set Iberica apart in my mind as something special."

  • "Tapas were enjoyable but service was very slow. The dichotomy of Iberica Marylebone is that upon arrival you are told that you have a table for a certain period of time (in our case 2 hours) but then the service is very slow. You spend the majority of your time waiting and then uppon ford (or wine) arrival rushing through your meal due to your time limit. You really have to have both service and the time limit working together to be an enjoyable experience. In our case it wasn't; service was very slow and then we were told that we had to depart because we had exceeded the pre-set time limit. My suggestion, go when it's not crowded but never when it is."

  • "Lacked a bit of atmosphere. Really quick service and had a waitress that was very eager to take everything away from our table even before we had finished everything! Felt a bit rushed and the food was ok. Expected a bit more.."

  • "It was our first Spanish restaurant in London (we are Spanish) and we have to admit that it was really good, even better than some restaurants in Spain. Staff was very friendly, food was amazing. I highly recommend it for people that love spanish food."
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "Outstanding. We eat out frequently and this was our second visit to Iberica in Great Portland St. It was my wife's birthday and her request easily booked through open table. Service was efficient and competent without being obvious. The food was remarkable with every dish offering high quality ingredients presented in stages rather than arriving en masse. We chose gazpacho of beetroot and anchovy which was perfectly chilled and smooth with balanced flavours, a simple mix of Spanish cheese and Jambon, Ham and Cheese Croquettes, Twice Cooked Lamb, Asparagus and Manchego on Toast and Black Rice with Cuttlefish Prawn and Alioli. Memorable for lots of reasons Including the way the staff handled my brief note that it was a birthday booking."

  • "I love Iberica and once again it did not disappoint. Delicious little dishes, perfect for sharing. Good, friendly and helpful service. Not cheap but good value for money. I highly recommend it. Everything was tasty and nicely paced. The highlights were the Asparagus, Manchego and Onion Confit toast; the Octopus a la gallea and the Iberica burger with secreto pork."

  • "The food was over priced and average. Nothing special."

  • "This place is famed for its jamon, which is fantastic. But tapas here is great too!"
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "A little bit of Spain in Central London ! Great food for sharing (Tapas) , along with excellent service and a cool vibe make for a excellent eatery anytime of the day or night. Booking is essential and the main restaurant is better than the mezzanine. Bar seating is also available and allows you to really get into the spirit of the place. The Ham's cut to order along with tomato bread are delicious , as are the majority of the salads. Some of the fried dishes are too heavy with batter being thick and claggy rather than light and crisp (improvement is clearly needed here ! Deserts are typically Spanish and perhaps best avoided ! Overall good quality and will return"

  • "The food was on the whole good and the lunch time offer makes it reasonable. I would t want to pay full price. The service wasn't great and it was also pretty empty so lacking in ambiance,"
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "I went there on a business lunch but it would be equally great with friends - great fun to share all the different tapas choices. Service and atmosphere great as well - I would certainly recommend it."
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "Wonderful experience. Food beautifully prepared. Informal ambiance. Very friendly service. Has a super neighborhood vibe that works well for visitors (like me) from abroad. The jamon starter tasting was alone worth coming. The tapas were excellent."

  • "Fantastic evening with greay food and friends for my birthday!"

  • "Fantastic food, great service, nice atmosphere, will definitely go back!"

  • "Always a pleasure dining with friends and business colleagues at Iberica. Has a real world charm, excellent high end tapas, great ambiance and service, go, enjoy!"
    dined on 24/06/2014
  • "This is somewhere buzzy with gorgeously opulant Spanish style decor, tiles up to the high ceiling, white wrought iron, attractive dark wooden bar. An more intimate area round the side - almost like a Spanish sitting room - has a cosier, less 'city' vibe. Great for cocktails, but even better for a meal. The tapas take a contemporary twist on the traditional Spanish fare, are beautifully presented and offer a riot of flavours. The smokey chicken with saffron rice was pure bliss, I nearly fought my friend for the last mouthful. Perhaps most memorable of all is the faultless, attentive and friendly service. I almost begrudged it being included in the bill as I would have had the satisfaction of leaving a generous, well-eanred tip."
    dined on 23/06/2014
  • "A nice tapas place, good food and wine - possibly lacking a bit of atmosphere but we were in early with all the new borns children. The service was good but not exceptional - I would return - but wouldnt go out of my way to go back."
    dined on 21/06/2014
  • "I have eaten at Iberica many times and the food is always very good. The beetboot gazpacho was the surprise of this visit - not sweet, hint of vinegar, lovely complex flavours. All the dishes were good. It is pricey, but as an occasional treat, it is worth it. Service was a bit hit and miss, but overall very good."
    dined on 21/06/2014
  • "Realtively limited range at lunchtime but well prepared and right sized portions"
    dined on 21/06/2014
  • "Well executed and cooked to order tapas with a great selection of jamon. Polite and professional service from the mostly Spanish crew. A good spot in the centre of town but away from the throngs in Soho or Covent Garden, this is decent value and well run."
    dined on 20/06/2014
  • "There are always a few specials but I don't go there to experience new food, I go there to immerse myself in Spanish tastes and remind me of my childhood growing up in Spain. What I like about it is that it is part Spanish, part Spanish fusion, but you can always be purist and order a lunch that is "tipico Espanol". The house Rioja is good, the staff always knowledgeable and usually friendly. You can spend £50 per head and get a really nice meal of tapas with wine or you can spend much more (this is London don't forget) if you want to splash out. There is an open area upstairs that they will lay out as a long table if you want to have a special lunch for say 20 people or so. Brilliant place and a current favourite. June 2014."
    dined on 19/06/2014
  • "Iberica is great: the food quality is amazing and tapas are more sophisticated than at many other tapas chains (and even at some independent restaurants!). A must-try is the chorizo lollipops, yum!"
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "We arrived a little early for our table so had a drink at the bar first and was entertained by the bar tender. He made my wife's red sangria in front of us and explained how to make it, which she particular liked. This set the scene and we had a very enjoyable evening, the service and food was excellent and we will definitely be returning with friends..."
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "This excellent restaurant situated just south of Marylebone Road has a beautiful interior, with a balconied upper story enabling diners to eat quite privately. The food is unusual and well cooked, with great variety of vegetarian, meat and fish tapas dishes. This enables a variety of food options and encourages experimentation., Wine is reasonable, desserts delicious and service is attentive. In all a pleasurable dining experience."
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "Although we booked in advance, the staff were very accommodating as I was on a short lunch break from a training course and I met up with my husband who was also in London that day. All dishes we chose were excellent and we returned later for wine and more tapas and chill out. The young staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. I have been several times before but hope to try a Paella one Sunday. We recommend you have the asparagus on toast, Segovian pork, tomato on toast, plain omelet and of course the Spanish rice pudding. A great place to unwind and enjoy good food."
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "An excellent meal at lunch time. Superb quality Raciones & tapas. The staff are excellent and most knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is great, and the interior décor lovely. Not cheap, but good value for the quality you get. Wine list is excellent. We had a lovely time"
    dined on 12/06/2014
  • "Staff very helpful and polite We felt welcome from the time we entered the restaurant"

  • "Four of us ate, so able to try lots. Some really good dishes, the suckling pig with pear, a mashed chick pea and chorizo. Most were good and a few were really bizarre. Patatas bravas came with what one friend described as 'toffee sauce' and 'chorizo lollipops' were chunks of chorizo on sticks, dipped in batter and then deep fried on a rather gloopy mayo. Was reminded of deep fried mars bars and wondered if a competition was afoot for the worlds most artery-clogging dish. Good service and a lively atmosphere. "
