Diner Reviews
  • "poor quality food (the sauce for Tai dish tasted as if it had come out of a carton!) poor entertainment value as computer for games kept freezing all the time"
    dined on 25/07/2014
  • "Great fun but expensive. Really enjoyed the experience but might not want to repeat too often. Only one dessert which was disappointing. Could be more main courses too. Unusual and my granddaughter loved it"

  • "We had a great lunch at Inamo and it made our day out special. The technology is great fun and the food delicious."

  • "Had a great meal here on Sunday, with my sixteen year old nephew and partner. The main attraction of the place is the innovative touch screen table ordering and the games that you can play whilst waiting for your food. Having been to the other inamo branch in Soho a few years ago, the St James's branch was a much nicer setting as it was more open and lighter inside. The tables have improved as well and there are now 4 games to choose from, when I think it used to be only 2. The memory game and battleships were great. The service was quite slow seeing as the restaurant was almost empty. The food was also very good. The sushi we had was fresh and tasty and the salmon for the main course was lovely and moist with an amazing sticky sauce."

  • "Myself and 8 friends came here this Saturday night for my 21st birthday meal. First impressions were how helpful and lovely the girls on reception were. The touch pad/projectors were such a cool touch and meant ordering your food/drinks/bill were pretty much instant and seamless! Perfect for a big group. Would also recommend the amazing passion fruit martini which tasted like solero ice lollies!! Food was amazing and a good mix of mild and adventurous for everyone. Cook your own sirloin steaks on little hot stones!! Very cool for those who love gadgets/novelties - have already recommended to pretty much everyone I've seen since haha! Loved it and made my birthday night very special. Thanks!"

  • "Fantastic different dining experience! Interactive menu is both fun and convenient"

  • "My friend and I brought our children ages 9-12 to Inamo for lunch, we all really enjoyed the interactive tables and games that came with them. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even making a special order for my very picky daughter. Worth a visit."
    dined on 14/07/2014
  • "We chose this restaurant for the interactive tables, which are great fun. You use them to order food and also can change the pattern on your table and play games. The quality of the food was excellent and I will definitely be going back. The only reason I have given 4 instead of 5 stars is that while we were waiting for our food one of the waitresses came over with the wine menu and started telling us about the wines and trying to sell us a bottle. My friends and I were clearly engrossed in the games and having a conversation so her interruption was unwelcome. I felt that this restaurant was better than interrupting its diners with efforts to sell wine so this was disappointing. Overall though we had a great dining experience"

  • "Definitely worth a visit 'coz of the innovative concept and table entertainment. Great ambience but food does not match value. Service was efficient and attentive but washrooms need to be monitored."
    dined on 09/07/2014
  • "Surprised by how much fun the concept is Great food, amazing drinks and service Loved it!"
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "Food was average at best, menu limited (only one desert on offer, for example). Too expensive for what it is. The only reason worth going is the novelty factor of interactive menus, in case if you'd like to show 'something different' to somebody."
    dined on 07/07/2014
  • "Great ambience and fun. very green concept and will be gioing again."

  • "Great meal in an unusual setting...love the ambience and the interactive table idea. The food is very tasty, especially loved the spicy Aubergine - now I know why it's one of their signature dishes! My only criticism is value, it is quite pricey considering there's not much waiter service involved and the portions are very small - we're talking £7.50 for 3 prawns. It is very tasty but feels more like a treat for something that is basically a casual meal. Would also warn people that the 'larger dishes' are pretty small (not man-size portions). All in all very tasty and enjoyable!"

  • "I booked this for some friends of mine with kids and went along for the beginning of their evening. Lovely welcome and the usual fun on the interactive tables. Kids love this and so the adults are happy. There used to be an excellent value set meal here but that's gone now and instead it's 2 dishes for £15 and 3 dishes for £20. The food is great but the portions are very small and unless you spend a lot more than £20 you'll be hungry I'm afraid. I wouldn't let this put you off becuse the concept is wonderful and there's still a lot of fun to be had."

  • "Despite reading very mixed reviews, I thought this might be a fun place to take my 16 year old. Initially all was good - nice surroundings, a bit of a buzz and we had lots of fun with the interactive menu. However, the service was really poor. We ordered our small dishes and after 15 minutes we ordered our big dishes. We eventually received 1 small dish which was nice, but lukewarm and served on a cold plate. After a long wait we reminded the waiter about our order. We then received our large dishes and small dish at the same time. I really grudged what I paid for meal which was nice, but the portions left me hungry. I didn't pay the service charge and really grudged paying the total."

  • "Great food and excellent service. We had three starters and we enjoyed all of them especially the crispy prawn and chicken satay"

  • "I went to Inamo, St James with the boyfriend for a spot of lunch on Saturday. I booked in advance, but it wasn't busy when we went. The interactive menu on the table was aot of fun, and kept us amused. The food was yummy, i would go back just for the spicy aubergine dish and the vanille creme brulee was out of this world! There are definitely good options for veggies too. Will definiutely go back :-)"

  • "This was a nice restaurant. Had read some of the reviews prior to our visit. Have decided to pay no attention to reviews in future but just pick something, go for it and experience it. The food was excellent. So delicious and fresh and wll prepared. Everything nicely flavoured. Porthions were a bit small but then we do tend to over order in these places. Staff just the right side of attentive and very informative if you engage with them. The table top interactive thing IS gimmicky but really held my interest for a while and no one else is doing it SO THERE."

  • "The food is good but not great however the atmosphere is good and it's worth going at least once for the novelty of ordering your food using the interactive table setting and having a game of battleships with your friends whilst waiting for it to arrive. For out of towners it is a hit - something a bit different and within strolling distance of plenty of places for a drink afterwards."

  • "This was my 3rd visit in recent years. The has been very good each time and the unique ordering process of using an interactive table still makes the geek inside me swoon. Service was promt, polite and helpful with the short time awaiting your order to arrive spent playing battleships with the other people at your table via the interactive system. The food has been top notch each visit in both taste and presentation. However if you are ordering more than a single main dish you may need to remortgage your house! My partner and I had a small dish (starter), a main, a side and a couple of alcoholic drinks drinks each racking up a bill of around £100 total. This is far more than I would usually spend. Hence special occasion only."

  • "Having read the reviews I was prepared for slow service and cramped space, what I experienced was the complete opposite. As soon as my partner and I were seated, a waitress came over and have us the 411 about everything. We played around with the menu as well as playing games, and we ordered each food item a dish at a time to ensure that they didn't come all at once. The food came rather quickly (it tasted beautiful) as did our drinks. The bill came when it was requested, so all in all it was a great evening. I'd defo recommend this restaurant; it's wacky, it's fun, it's entertaining...and if serves great food and drink!x"

  • "We had a girl of 11 with us and she was facinated with the entire order and games options. The food was good, but we got what the neighbour group ordered and vice versa.. Music was too loud."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "It was our first time dining at Inamo... The food was tasty and arrived promptly and the interactive ordering was different and a nice USP. A couple of things that let the experience down were: 1. We were told we had 1 hour 45 minutes at our table and felt rushed throughout our meal only to discover the table had not been rebooked and we were eventually able to stay for 2 1/2 hours. 2. The choice of mains were limited as was the dessert choices - ice cream, sorbet and creme brulee. However the staff were very friendly, the cocktails were amazing and the restaurant had a good atmosphere."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "Delicious food, and reasonable cocktails, but hardly enough meat or noodle options and hidden costs of mixers etc. Extremely pricey for some edamame beans, a vegetable curry with rice and a gin and tonic! 40 quid!"
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "Second time for us, and we still love it! Great food, great fun. Well aware that food comes as it's ready, so not your traditional starter/main/dessert set-up, but a great chance to taste everyone else's choices. We'll definitely be back."
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "Great value using the 2 courses for £15, lovely food and experience"
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "The concept is still attractive and the performance is promisonh, initially. But as the meal proceeds, things deteriorates. From tasty small dishes to unispiring larger ones. From attentive service via unintested to hostile in it's appearance. Overly obvious when i asked about the reason for the delay of the desserts and, to My surprise could heat the service blaming the kitchen?! Definitely not what you would expect from a restaurant with ambitions."
    dined on 23/06/2014
  • "The aubergine was the best I've ever eaten. We ordered a number of dishes and they were all fab! the ribs, chicken and beef were great and all 4 of us loved it. The service wasn't great and they weren't busy which was a concern. The interactive tables are great for teenage kids. cost for 4 of us was £150 to it ain't cheap!"
    dined on 22/06/2014
  • "Fun and different with great food! Price is justified but expect £40ph minimum if ypur planning not to grab a Mcds on the way home."
    dined on 15/06/2014
  • "The unique dining experience of ordering everything from your interactive table was enough to distract from the appalling service as this was our first time at Inamo. The food was alright, with one or two of the dishes being very nice - such as the black cod! They also turned off out table before we had paid and then took forever to come to take payment for us. When we pointed these issues out as the reason we wouldn't be giving the complete 'discretionary service charge' that had automatically been added to the bill, there wasn't even an apology. A different experience that was unique and intriguing as a one-off. But we won't be going back!"
    dined on 15/06/2014
  • "Chose this restaurant for the teenagers in the party but everyone enjoyed the fun, the overall experience and the food. Great atmosphere. Have recommended it to friends already which I don't often do!"
    dined on 15/06/2014
  • "Me and my family love going out for dinner, and Inamo was a great option. The fact that you can order and play from the table was great not just for the kids but also for us. We love rhe food and I am vegan and the options were very good. I recomend."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "It was my daughters 14th birhtday and her and her friends really enjoyed the interactive tables. However, there was not a lot of choice and it was quite expensive. But overall we had a fantastic time. The staff were amazing."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "I agree with the others, it's small portions , to the extent my main course Malaysian chicken came earlier before the starter chicken satay, I ate my main thinking it's a starter! Weird menu in the sense they did the Thai red curry but only vegetarian option , couldn't see any other Thai curries ! Expensive for what it is ... I Won't go there again personally."
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "Had an amazing dinner with my mrs after watching "Phantom of The Opera". Interactive menu was really interesting idea. food was delicious and delivered quite quickly after the order was placed. Highly recommended for romantic dinner and business meetings."
    dined on 09/06/2014
  • "This is out 3rd visit to Inamo and its still a great place to visit. They have two restaurants and the branch in Lower Regent Street is in my opinion much better"
    dined on 06/06/2014
  • "funny place with good potential thanks to the interact table but waited 25 min to get a table despite reservation and 45 min to get main courses"
    dined on 06/06/2014
  • "The ambience is perfect and with state of the art technology, this place is amazing. Only downside is the seating arrangement, the tables are too close, must be coz of the way projectors have been arranged."
    dined on 06/06/2014
  • "No need to wait for a waitress! Great food, best oriental food I've had in a while and the portions are perfect. "
