Diner Reviews
  • "Had a lovely time at Kenza! Would defintley recommend to friends & family!"
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "Kenza is a difficult to find but beautifully set out restaurant. I have now visited as a group and with my partner and on each occasion it has been wonderful. The service is brilliant, the food is fantastic and the entertainment (belly dancing) is not bad at all. The food is really tasty and I've tried a wide selection of the menu without ever being disappointed. I will always keep Kenza in mind for a special occasion. I've not given full marks for value but then I'm still coming to terms with London prices and like every other restaurant in London, the prices are high - but you definitely get very good value for your money here."

  • "The decor of the restaurant was very authentic. The belly dancers were the highlight of the night. Food was very good. The meat was overcooked and they were happy to take it back and bring another one. There was even a small dance floor with good music so we ended up spending the entire night at Kenza! Would go again for special occasions."

  • "Amazing Food! Best Lebense I've ever had in London."
    dined on 03/07/2014
  • "An eclectic mix of Moroccan decor and Lebanese food, buit it works. Particularly with the belly-dancing. The service was warm and friendly, the food was outstanding. While portion sizes are smaller than in other London Lebanese restaurants I have been to, the quality was better and we both ate our fill for £30 each - my benchmark. A nice selection of Lebanese wine. I would definitely return - may not be the cheapest, but it is certainly the best I have tried in this town."

  • "Look for yourself. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Also the food is very authentic and they've got it spot on!"
    dined on 24/06/2014
  • "The food and service were good, although disappointed on two fronts: 1. Belly dancing stopped at 7:30pm, which seemed strange. 2. We informed the restaurant that it was our 30th wedding anniversary celebration but there was nothing done special."
    dined on 16/06/2014
  • "Amazing ambiance and delicious food. Kenza is perfect for that special occasion outing!"

  • "Had my birthday dinner at Kenza, we all loved it. Beautiful place, great atmosphere, great service, delicious food and exciting belly dancing. "

  • "The food was excellent. We (3) arrived at 6.45 and the service was good. However, the service got slower as the evening went on and the restaurant became more crowded. In particular it took ages to receive and pay our final bill. It didn't really spoil the evening but it is a point which needs improvement."
    dined on 04/06/2014
  • "Nice venue, great food. Would be fun in the evenings with some live entertainment for a good night out. Not great access as is down a spiral staircase and is a bit tucked away but staff and food were great. "
    dined on 02/06/2014
  • "Went for meal, outstanding service, food was good and the cocktails even better!"
    dined on 30/05/2014
  • "Had a lovely evening meal with the hubby, would recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves good food. For the men the belly dancers are really good. (Girls don't get jealous their going home with).😊"

  • "Had a brilliant evening of delicious Lebanese food, belly dancing and drink in the most exquisite but intimate surroundings!!! We've planned our next trip already!! Lamb tagline was "to die for!"."
    dined on 30/05/2014
  • "Beautiful middle eastern restaurant hidden in Devonshire Square - Authentic Moroccan theme decor inside and outside- exotic lamps and furnishings- Feels like transported to Morocco! Food and drinks were not cheap , but was fair , I was expecting authentic lebanese food, but got a bit disappointed . The ambiance is beautiful and chilled. I had a delicious non alcoholic cocktail. I would recommend Kenza, for special occasions, belly dancing evenings parties. "

  • "Ive heard a lot about Kenza through family and friends and I must say it lives up to its hype. The food was full of flavour, couldn't ask for better to be honest. Service was a little off but I guess nothing is perfect. We went on a Thursday where restaurant has belly dancers, live music and a singer (didn't know until I got there)... It would have been ok if the music and singing wasn't so loud. Avoid Thursdays if you want a quiet intimate dinner, I was literally shouting down my partners ear hole so she could hear me. All in all a quality restaurant... Will definitely return"
    dined on 29/05/2014
  • "I loved the vibe, the belly dancers create a very lively vibe. Dim low lighting and not too loud, apart from the belly dancers come out to dance. Suitable for a girly catch up evening or a romantic date. Also great for birthday celebrations etc as there are the couches/alcovey bits which are tucked away for bigger groups. Definitely one of my favourite places for dinner in London!"
    dined on 22/05/2014
  • "Words cant describe how good Kenza is. The food is incredible, the service is second to none and the atmosphere is just lovely. My date and I sat next to each other for the whole meal, we enjoyed the food and the belly dancers.. Oh wow, they were so sexy! I can't wait to go again!"
    dined on 20/05/2014
  • "My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed eating at this place. the restaurant is gorgeous and romantic, and the food is really good. The service was also perfect. i would definitely recommend it. "

  • "I love the whole experience as it has such a romantic touch to it. Love the ambiance, v friendly staff and belly dancing was amazing."
    dined on 17/05/2014
  • "The food was amazing all tasted very fresh with excellent flavours! All courses arrived in good time with enough gap in between. The atmosphere is very authentic, you will think that you are no longer in London!! Belly dancers offer great entertainment! Service charge was steep considering only a table of 4! "
    dined on 03/05/2014
  • "My partner and I had an amazing first experience at Kenza, we recommended a return with family. The lamb shoulder set menu was recommended which we had before,we decided to have a change and go for a mix between the fish and chicken menu. The starters were delicious, unfortunately this is were the good experience ends! We were left for large periods of time, struggled to get anybody's attention..seemed under staffed. The fish was over cooked and I could have bought a cooked chicken from the local supermarket. We complained to the manager who was NOT interested and hid as we were leaving, bill came to over £300 for a party of five and we even had to ask them to remove the service charge. So disappointed, WONT go back and WONT recommend! "
    dined on 01/05/2014
  • "The girls and I had lunch there 2 days ago and it was fab. The place was fairly quiet for lunch - but it meant the we had the staffs full attention! The food was exceptional and had really good vegetarian options for my vege friends. Everything tasted different and had good seasoning. We were fortunate to get a both and so were very relaxed. The only downside was it took us a little time to find the place as its not very clearly sign posted - but its one of those hidden gems. "
    dined on 28/04/2014
  • "The service was pretty good at the beginning of the evening, and the food was really excellent, only slightly let down by the pastries which I thought could have been fresher. We had a lot of fun, and the belly dancers were enjoyed by my group. After that things started to go just a bit wrong. After the dancing they had a live DJ come on and start blasting music really loud. The music was definitely not in keeping with the theme of the decor, and he was truly awful. We tried to leave as soon as possible after that, but the wait staff seemed to have mostly disappeared around that time. I had to go up to the till to ask for the bill. Recommended, but avoid still being there after 10pm on a Thursday - Sunday when the DJ comes on."
    dined on 26/04/2014
  • "Kenza is a beautiful place and the Service is excellent. Its a bit hard to find at first as its hidden away but the Resturant has a nice feel. The only down size is the food is expensive and the food doesn't justify the price, as similar places charge a lot less for the same quality of food. I would only recommend Kenza for special ocassions. "
    dined on 26/04/2014
  • "Been to this restaurant many times & always remains one of my favourites. We had the set menu & the portions are always generous. The belly dancers & music provide good entertainment. The service was good & the reservations staff were very accommodating as one member of our group was going to arrive much later than the rest of us. "

  • "I too a group of 7 for lunch at Kenza. Groups of 6 require credit card confirmation. Restaurant is hidden away but is a gem - a riot of colour and beautiful fabrics, although a little dark as the lighting is soft and it is in the basement. Good choice of Lebanese dishes - a great place for carnivores and there are some vegetarian options. At lunch time, there is a la carte, a set menu (startrd and main course) or the feast menu (minimum 2 people (which includes 4 small starters, main course each, choice of baklava and Rose Mint tea. All food is very reasonably priced and good quality. It tastes good too! At lunchtime (on a Wednesday), it was quiet (3-4 other groups only) but it didn't affect us. Evenings are probably much livelier."
    dined on 23/04/2014
  • "A lovely place hidden in the city. Kenza is located in such a way that makes you take notice of it. Not very well pointed out when you approach it (as you'll see when you go) but I feel this enhances the overall experience. You leave the city and enter visually stunning arab-esque surroundings. The food is top notch. Me and the wife opted for the set menu for two (around £30.00) per person. You get several starters and the main is delicious. (Rice with chicken). You also get afters and hot tea. You don't have to have the set menu, you can of course order from them main menu. The price I thought was reasonable. We got the mains plus I got ice cream and four drinks. The cocktails are worth going for, they have most to suit all tastes."
    dined on 19/04/2014
  • "I has a lovely time at Kenza the highlight of the evening was the belly dancers and the music they played it made you feel as though you was in Morroco. The food and cocktails was reasonably priced and delicious. Only downfall was the lady who served us she was miserable and not welcoming at all. Overall a amazing experience and would defo go back. "
    dined on 18/04/2014
  • "Have nothing but good things to say about Kenza. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was great, the entertainment (belly dancing) was great. Very comfortable seats. The food was very tasty. The Farowj meshwi (baby chicken) was succulent. Great that the food was for sharing to, made the experience that much more sociable. The mint tea was very energising, 'the cherry on the cake'. Speaking of cake, the firework on my birthday cake was a nice surprise. It looks as good as any pictures that you'll find online, I definitely recommend visiting for the food, for groups or romantic evenings."
    dined on 18/04/2014
  • "The ambiance of Kenza is outstanding. All our waiters were so attentive. The food was never ending and delicious. Beautiful belly dancers came round ever other course and danced hypnotically, encouraging us to join them, which we did! Unfortunately it's an expensive restaurant for me at around £50 a head, so I can't visit often :("
    dined on 18/04/2014
  • "It was excellent! The variety of starters was what we enjoyed the most! More than enough food served for the 3 course meal, absolutely wonderful! Would definitely visit again."
    dined on 05/04/2014
  • "Good choice of mezze, with free additional bread. Main course barely warm, and we waited ages for it to arrive, after trying to clear our starters twice, when we hadn't actually finished them. Tables are for two hours only - then you get moved on into the bar. Belly dancing girls were excellent, and encourage you to dance with them, but they don't force you, if you are not wanting to dance. Nice ambience, but cavernous, so not the place for an intimate meal."
    dined on 04/04/2014
  • "Good food, great value Lebanese wine, great atmosphere, very friendly staff and enjoyable entertainment made our Saturday evening here thoroughly enjoyable. I will definitely come here again. The staff dealt with my food intolerances very well, which always impresses me as so many places don't."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "Took my Girlfriend out for a meal on friday night but ended up in what looks and is set up as a nice restaurant but with music so loud you cannot hear each other talk. I looked around and no couples or families were talking as the music was too loud, all we could do was sit and eat. I asked them to turn it down but they cannot."
    dined on 21/03/2014
  • "We really enjoyed the food but felt that the music was too loud when the belly dancers came. It was louder than a club and a bit unsuitable for dinner. Rest was great, really enjoyed they food and total experience."
    dined on 14/03/2014
  • "I booked this meal as a birthday meal for my mum. The venue was nice and the decor and soft furnishings made you forget that you were in the heart of East London but onstead felt more like centre of the city - chic and plush, no expense spared. Wish I could say the same for the service. From the very beginning we were constantly reminded either verbally or by way of clearing up before we'd even finished the last bite of a course in our mouths that we were on a tight time schedule and that they need the table back in exactly 2hours. At one point my mum's plate was almost taken away just as she was reaching for the last pastry from her starters, despite acknowledging she hadn't finished the waiter continued to wipe up the table with his cloth"
