The food was amazing, BUUUUTTTT... They have a policy that states: groups of more than 6 people have to order a set menu. This doesn't take into account the dynamics in a group. As some people don't want to eat a lot or spend a lot. The lack of choice in a mains and desserts means you miss out on trying something new. The music was too loud, making it difficult for conversation. When busy it can take a while to get a waiter.

Booked a table for anniversary - was told we would have a great spot however we were crammed in between other diners. Waiters never wiped down the tables. During our meal a waiter dropped a dish and then tutted and rolled his eyes at me?! Also while I was paying the waitress watched me enter my pin (as in observed my pin number!) I've dined here before when it was less busy and it was a great experience - however I don't think the staff handled the busy/crowded Saturday night very well.

Down a little back alley in London, marked by a red rug and a few Arabic vases is a large wooden door. The door looks sturdy and intriguing, but as you enter and go down numerous stairs you enter another world! The smell, atmosphere and decor takes you immediately to a magical Arabia. The feasts are genuine feasts with incredibly fresh and tasty food. Totally authentic, served with great hospitality and efficiency. Not cheap, but worth it for special occasions.

Enjoyed every aspect of the place. Food was great.. ample choices on set menu. Service was excellent and the traditional pouring of the mint tea was an added surprise. Belly dancers and music really worked well as a bonus. The ambient music could be toned down a bit for a proper conversation.

Myself and 5 friends went to Kenza for my birthday. The lady who served us was very rude. The staff were having chit chats amongst themselves. No one came to even ask what we wanted to drink for about 30 minutes. Positive; food was tasty and arrived fairly quick. Thankfully the service charge was optional! Overall a horrible night just because of service! They need retraining!

Although it looks expensive I would advise ordering off the feast menu instead of a la carte, drinks are expensive when you add these on to the meal. However - fabulous evening, attentive service, relaxed ambience. Food is worth the money - I would recommend any of the lamb dishes. Definitely something you could bring a date to - if you feel comfortable with watching gorgeous belly dancers whilst you're eating that is.

The food and cocktails were very good. Mains courses are quite expensive. They could do with a few special offers to make it better value! The belly dancing is good fun. There is a 2 hour table turnaround after which you can go to the lounge. The music which had been Arabic pop becomes Western - it would be better to stick to the foreign music. They could do with a change of DJ as the 'blending' of tracks is not great and the volume keeps going up and down which is an irritation. Overall, it was a good experience and I would be happy to return.

Having been for drinks a while back, I'd always wanted to come and try the food. The ambiance is lovely, it really does feel like you've been transported to Northern Africa as soon as you step through the doors. The lunch menu was great value and the food was fantastic! The service was decent enough, but nothing to match the food and ambiance.

Kenza is something different. You can dress up, enjoy a lively yet secluded atmosphere. There is a selection of cuisine which is out of the ordinary, yet you can still have fairly day to day dishes like chicken and rice if you want something standard but with grilled flavour. the belly dancers create good vibe, albeit very hit and miss. On my last visit they were all very smily and very pretty; this time looked tired and unhappy. Its nice to be able to dance at your table yet feel at ease and not like you are being watched. Price is a bit OTT even if its london. We paid £100 for two, and the wine at £40 was a good 25% overpriced. However for a special occasion we enjoyed it.

Been to Kenza's a few times now and have never been let down. The food is amazing and the ambiance is exceptional. They can get very busy which is totally understandable considering the quality of this establishment. Book in advance so you are not disappointed. We have always gone for the Meze's which have provided plenty of food for us all (been in parties of 2 - 6) and I can recommend the Moroccan wine. All in all, great experience. The entertainment is a little added bonus as well.

Being August, this restaurant was not that busy. Its subterranean so many people would prefer dining in 'outside' restaurants. The food was good a simple Lebanese fare and it was freshly prepared. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was exotic. I chose a Lebanese red wine which was a little strong for me, but otherwise an enjoyable experience which I will repeat again.

Arrival service really poor! Tried to get some cocktails and have to get the attention of few staff to get served. cahipirinas not great really bitter not enough sugar and quiet watery perhaps because they shaked it. Once at the table service it was fantastic and really attentive, I will come back again because the food and the service once at the table it was really good, attentive and personal. However the reception and the bar area needs lots of work. Looking forward to try it again as it was a really great night after all

Walking into Kenza you would think that they may have it right. The problem was that Kenza doesn't quite know what type of restaurant/bar it is so it has a stab at everything. Loud music for 10 minutes as dancers come out remove any ambience that was created as you sit and sip a cocktail (we only saw a brief dancer so really had no idea why the music went up and we couldn't hear anyone speak anymore). Cocktail bar and drinks area from 10pm with 80's nightclub lights also had people with small babies and families gathered. After 10pm the music was simply bad. Coloured lights flashed across a dance floor that no one was on. Sorry Kenza but it's the ambience that creates style.

Setting and decor were very inviting. Starters were good. Subtle but fun flavours in various sharing dishes. At this point in the evening we thought we'd made a good choice. However mains, both vegetarian and meat, were mediocre - overlooked and uninspired. Wine list was good. Then the music started. Belly dancers followed by a live band. The restaurant had effectively become a night club. It was too loud to talk to my fellow diners without shouting, which completely ruined the evening. If you want a fun night out with banging tunes and beautiful women Kenza may be right for you , but if you want a good dinner and to talk to your friends, maybe not.

Kenza is a difficult to find but beautifully set out restaurant. I have now visited as a group and with my partner and on each occasion it has been wonderful. The service is brilliant, the food is fantastic and the entertainment (belly dancing) is not bad at all. The food is really tasty and I've tried a wide selection of the menu without ever being disappointed. I will always keep Kenza in mind for a special occasion. I've not given full marks for value but then I'm still coming to terms with London prices and like every other restaurant in London, the prices are high - but you definitely get very good value for your money here.

The decor of the restaurant was very authentic. The belly dancers were the highlight of the night. Food was very good. An eclectic mix of Moroccan decor and Lebanese food, buit it works. Particularly with the belly-dancing. The service was warm and friendly, the food was outstanding. While portion sizes are smaller than in other London Lebanese restaurants I have been to, the quality was better and we both ate our fill for £30 each - my benchmark. A nice selection of Lebanese wine. I would definitely return - may not be the cheapest, but it is certainly the best I have tried in this town.
