A word from Kopapa
Kopapa is an all day restaurant located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden and is the second London offering from world-renowned chef Peter Gordon, co-founder of The Providores & Tapa Room in Marylebone Village. Kopapa serves fantastic breakfasts all week and is truly one of London's hottest brunch spots at weekends.

The all day menu offer is an international culinary adventure and a showcase for Peter’s wonderful cuisine. Whether it’s a mid-week lunch, pre-theatre supper, or a special dinner with a group of friends, Kopapa offers an exciting dining experience in the heart of the West End. The cocktail offering is innovative, the wine list concise but comprehensive and the bar - one of theatre land's best. And if sitting and sipping as the world passes by is your thing, the outdoor terrace provides Covent Garden’s best vantage point. Kopapa also offers delicious post theatre supper - and remember, we are always happy to cater for larger groups and children.

Diner Reviews
  • "OMG, after 4 days of eating out for business and personal travel, Peter Gordan's Fusion dishes at Kopapa are the most memorable. Had dinner before the theatre and still thinking about the unique butternut squash soup with salted coconut and coriander. Even the flat bread caught my attention. I had two small plates: king scallop with cauliflower puree was so delicious that I had to close my eyes in delight, and the spring rolls were crispy but not greasy. Add a carafe of nice chardonnay, and my dinner was absolutely perfect. I browsed through the 3 cookbooks for sale but none had these recipies, otherwise I may have bought all three and lugged them to the theatre with me! Only distraction was how crowded and loud the restaurant is."

  • "I booked the pre-theatre menu for my boyfriend and I thinking it was the 1st time I would have been there. Once I arrived I realised I had been on a Saturday for a coffee with my sister. On that occasion it was very busy - Service was slow so we ended up leaving a little frustrated. My recent experience was nicer. We ate around 5 or 6pm - it was much quieter so we could chat without struggling to hear and service was better! The waiter helped me with my food selection - glad I went for it in the end. However, my boyfriend had the cod and lentils- it didn't have any flavour. He also had a Bloody Mary that even to my Taste was very bland - literally just tasted of tomato juice. Portions were a little small too."

  • "Really interesting menu. Geared towards real foodies. First time dining there but I would definitely return."
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "Not many options on the menu, but they are all delicious. The sweet potato mash is the best I've ever had. Is slightly pricey for what you get, but perfect for a pre/post theatre visit"

  • "Peter Gordon has done it again - amazing fusion food. Interesting varied menu and good options for all sizes of appetite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Go visit if you want your taste buds tantalised"

  • "The food is really nothing special... we were a large group. As a main I had dumplings ...that were fried and tasteless. They forgot my bosses duck... at least they didn't make us pay for his meal... which would be too much."

  • "We had a brunch here, 1030hrs. The decor is good, fresh & big windows open onto the street. The service was very attentive without being oppressive, water is topped up sporadically throughout the meal which is a definite plus. The coffee is very good. The brunch cocktails were refreshing with a little kick, which is what you want. The only slight issue was the table next to ours was quite close which made squeezing past for the bathroom awkward/uncomfortable. That said we had a very good morning/afternoon here with great food & drinks."

  • "Enjoyed a great lunch while meeting a new contact. Staff were efficient and the food was fabulous."

  • "The Wagu beef that we took as a main was thoroughly disappointing! I had to saw through the cartridge of the meat, which shouldn't happen if it's Wagu beef. Half of the meat was fat and it was a royal waste of money. The service was good nevertheless and so were the starters. I would recommend this place for drinks and starters, but that's about it!"
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "The drinks were very expensive and food was overpriced, but very tasty."
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "Went there for gathering with friends, as the set menu looks pretty interesting and decent value. However, food did not live up to expectation - all the dishes were way too salty (especially the port belly), and completely overpowered whatever flavour some of the special ingredient (e.g. Miso, Yuzu etc) might bring out."
    dined on 20/07/2014
  • "I met a friend there for brunch. I liked the tap water being offered straight away. My friend had to try 3 times to get a coffee order despite someone coming to our table twice during that time... They then brought the wrong coffee. It took a long time to bring the replacement. The veg brunch options were limited. I had the avo on toast which was vastly over priced for one peice of toast and and avo. There was no atmosphere. While staff were polite they weren't warm or particularly efficient. Poor experience and we won't be returning"

  • "Excellent interesting menu and very good wine. Would get 5 stars if the tables weren't so tiny and cramped. The best restaurant for pre-theatre when going tomthe Donma"

  • "Myself and and a friend (both quite "foody") went for a pre theatre dinner, the food was unusual and tasty, the service fast and friend and the atmosphere quite "buzzy". I would definitely recommend, I hear the brunches are fab too!"
    dined on 16/07/2014
  • "The atmosphere was bright and lively (a tiny bit on the cosy side) and the service was perfect. I had the tempura fired dhal (amongst other dishes) which was a wonderful blend of textures and flavours and a great dish for vegetarians (compared to the usual boring potato-something-or-the-other). Both bottles of wine were lovely –they have a great selection!  The pre/post theatre menu is great value for money with 2 (fabulous and good quality) courses less than £20."
    dined on 11/07/2014
  • "1. Creative menu. Food good, although steak was swimming in too much sauce. 2. Several bottles of beer (Steinlager) were pretty warm. Not acceptable at almost a fiver a bottle. 3. Service was a bit sleepy, but friendly. 4. Extremely cramped though. Tiny tables/chairs. Elbow to elbow with other tables, in all four directions. Seating needs to be spaced out, but that's unlikely to happen given its central London location. 5. Street level dining is a real plus - open and light."
    dined on 09/07/2014
  • "Our wine, puddings and mains were all gorgeous - starters disappointing. Great place to catch up with friends though, and their choice of wines is ace"
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "This is a truly great restaurant - wonderful menu. The soft-shell crab burger is to die for."
    dined on 08/07/2014
  • "Service and food delicious. The chorizo was recommended and very good. The only drawback was that the delicious scallop dish only had one scallop. Would dine here again."
    dined on 06/07/2014
  • "Went on saturday night, restaurant was very crowded and the noise was so high it was hard to hold a conversation, add to this it was very hot inside. The waiters were quite confused and we were almost served the wrong thing twice."
    dined on 05/07/2014
  • "A close friend hadn't celebrated their birthday in over a decade and this was the concluding meal to a brilliant day out. We couldn't have asked for better, the vegetarians and meat eaters all had a brilliant time, the nonalcoholic cocktails were a storm (the alcoholic ones even more so) and the staff were just brimming with knowledge about the food and drinks. This is not a cheap night out but you certainly get what you pay for and you'll be telling your friends for weeks. I'm making my next booking now."
    dined on 05/07/2014
  • "Front of the house was excellent. They were very attentive, and very quick to help and explain any questions we might have about the menu. The small dishes are lovely and we ordered a few and shared them. The location is perfect if one is going to the West End for an evening at the theatre or even to catch up with friends. It must be a lovely location for brunch as well."
    dined on 05/07/2014
  • "I had the turkish eggs with yoghurt and and chilli butter. While it sounded interested, it was quite a simple dish, and was not as memorable as I'd hope it to be. Nonetheless, the chorizo hashbrown is good, as well as the coffee. Will recommend."
    dined on 05/07/2014
  • "And much better service than last time I went. It would be nice if they offered a set lunch menu too."
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "We haven't been to Kopapa for a while so a return was well overdue, and as satisfying as always. Our group of 8 all commented on the excellent quality of the food, the fantastic wine list, and how attentive the staff were, and all messaged me later to say again how much they enjoyed dinner. Brilliant."
    dined on 02/07/2014
  • "My husband and I went for our first year wedding anniversary meal, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful we couldn't have asked for better service. When we couldn't decide which wine we wanted, we were offered tasting glasses of some of them to help us decide. I would definitely go back, they have a set menu that would be worth going for if you were wanting to keep the costs down, we went off the main menu and there were so many lovely sounding dishes that we would habe to go back jsut to try the ones we didn't get to eat!"
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "Booked online for the early evening deal. Food was interesting, bit different and tasty. Very nice helpful waiting staff. The restaurant is quite casual and noisy - more cafe-style. Good for lunch, quick meals etc. Would suggest somewhere else if you're after romantic quiet atmosphere. Would go again and try a La carte."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "Had been looking forward to going to Kopapa for brunch for ages. We went on a Friday morning and the restaurant wasn't busy so was pleasant. The food was good (eggs cooked to perfection) but service left something to be desired. Took a long time to take our order, when it came it wasn't the right order, our coffee was brought half way through eating our breakfast and asking for the bill took a really long time as well. Considering the place wasn't busy I was unimpressed with the service. Decent food but you can find similar brunches elsewhere. Having heard great things of Kopapa I was disappointed."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "I'd highly recommend the Chorizo Hash, ridiculously good way to start a busy day, whether it be work or play."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "Really diverse menu, catered for veggies and meat eaters"
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "Kopapa has absolutely amazing food and I would definitely go back. The portion sizes are quite small, but actually deceivingly filling! The service was a bit slow - we had to remind the waitress to get out drinks so they only arrived after our first course. However the waitresses were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the wine selection. Overall I was pretty impressed."
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "In addition my guests rated it 6/10 for value and 7/10 for both food and ambience."
    dined on 25/06/2014
  • "Ate at Kopapa, Monmouth Street for a pre-theatre meal although we ordered from the a la carte in the end. Had the mixed platter which was very good (suffered from the usual tapas sharing plate problem - 3 of everything when it is to be shared between 2!), the squid which was excellent and a very nice tortilla. The water was very friendly and helpful, advising us how many dishes to order (and getting it spot on) and advising on desserts. Their sorbets are excellent and the sundae was very rich but elegantly presented and beautifully flavoured. The home made pink lemonade was very nice. We will definitely come back to try some of their other dishes. Recommended for speedy and tasty food."
    dined on 24/06/2014
  • "Went to kopapa on the Monday offer menu. Mixed opinions! My starter was really not very nice. I sent it back. My replacement starter was v tasty! Staff very gracious in doing so. My main was delicious. Bustling atmosphere and good location. Theatre land without the tourists!"
    dined on 23/06/2014
  • "We had a lovely dinner at Kopapa - the fusion food was different to anything we've had before. We had a selection of 5 small plates between us, which gave us both a great range of food. Highly recommended - we'll be back!"
    dined on 21/06/2014
  • "My husband and sat outside overlooking seven dials on a lovely summer evening, the waiters were exceptional, very attentive & really quick with our orders. We had the sharing platter, but what was out of this world was the inuri pocket, it was a taste sensation, I haven't tasted a dish so amazing & I am a bit of a foodie and been to some amazing restaurants! My husband who thinks anything vegetarian is not even worth bothering about couldn't believe how brilliant this dish was. It's a crispy pocket filled with the most delicious dal, on a base of sweet coconut, topped with fresh crunchy salad of green papaya and toasted spring onions...which may not sound amazing but it just is...if you are in London go to Kopapa and have the inuri pocket!"

  • "Enjoyed the 2 course pre theatre menu. Good value for London. Food very tasty. Service quick and efficient."
