A word from Kopapa
Kopapa is an all day restaurant located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden and is the second London offering from world-renowned chef Peter Gordon, co-founder of The Providores & Tapa Room in Marylebone Village. Kopapa serves fantastic breakfasts all week and is truly one of London's hottest brunch spots at weekends.

The all day menu offer is an international culinary adventure and a showcase for Peter’s wonderful cuisine. Whether it’s a mid-week lunch, pre-theatre supper, or a special dinner with a group of friends, Kopapa offers an exciting dining experience in the heart of the West End. The cocktail offering is innovative, the wine list concise but comprehensive and the bar - one of theatre land's best. And if sitting and sipping as the world passes by is your thing, the outdoor terrace provides Covent Garden’s best vantage point. Kopapa also offers delicious post theatre supper - and remember, we are always happy to cater for larger groups and children.

Diner Reviews
  • "OMG, after 4 days of eating out for business and personal travel, Peter Gordan's Fusion dishes at Kopapa are the most memorable. Had dinner before the theatre and still thinking about the unique butternut squash soup with salted coconut and coriander. Even the flat bread caught my attention. I had two small plates: king scallop with cauliflower puree was so delicious that I had to close my eyes in delight, and the spring rolls were crispy but not greasy. Add a carafe of nice chardonnay, and my dinner was absolutely perfect. I browsed through the 3 cookbooks for sale but none had these recipies, otherwise I may have bought all three and lugged them to the theatre with me! Only distraction was how crowded and loud the restaurant is."

  • "I booked the pre-theatre menu for my boyfriend and I thinking it was the 1st time I would have been there. Once I arrived I realised I had been on a Saturday for a coffee with my sister. On that occasion it was very busy - Service was slow so we ended up leaving a little frustrated. My recent experience was nicer. We ate around 5 or 6pm - it was much quieter so we could chat without struggling to hear and service was better! The waiter helped me with my food selection - glad I went for it in the end. However, my boyfriend had the cod and lentils- it didn't have any flavour. He also had a Bloody Mary that even to my Taste was very bland - literally just tasted of tomato juice. Portions were a little small too."

  • "The choice of foods here is fantastic as they are original and interesting takes on some regular dishes. My only criticism was that when I ordered the Caesar salad without anchovies on it they were still included. The waiter was attentive and took it away immediately, however the kitchen staff simply removed the anchovies and sent the same dish back out. This was not the best solution as I could still taste the fish throughout the salad. Having said that the food was very nice indeed and the waiting staff were very good at the service they provided."

  • "What a fantastic venue , with lovely food and first class service. A very pleasant way to spend two hours brunching on a Sunday afternoon."

  • "Great food and super friendly service. I recommend the Turkish Eggs, they are delicious! Will definitely be back for more :)"

  • "I came here for brunch with three friends. The waitress couldn't answer any of our questions regarding food/drinks and didn't seem to know what she was doing. Not the most friendly place in general. We spent quite some money on food and drinks and really didn't appreciate how rudely we were spoken to by the manager who reminded us that we had gone over our allotted time slot! We asked whether he could seat us somewhere else; we had just bought another £32 bottle of Prosecco, which was still half full. He suggested we leave and just take the bottle with us! We left the place 27 minutes over our 'agreed time'. None of us could see people waiting for our table and around us were plenty of free tables for four, even six people."

  • "An incredibly interesting fusion of tastes assembled together... a refreshing surprise and diversion from the 'norm'..."

  • "This was my first time at Kopapa and may not be a representative view of the food overall as we had a fruit salad and the porridge, probably the simplest options on the menu. The coffee was delicious, friendly and courteous staff that weren't overbearing but were attentive at the same time. Perfect spot for pre-work breakfast as it had a liveliness to it but was still relaxed. Overall, I would rate Kopapa 4/5 stars if you're after a breakfast location, I imagine the more complex dishes are delicious as well."

  • "Very nice place & food, right in the middle of Seven Dials in Covent Garden Very nice food, definately recommend a visit !"

  • "Had a lovely time at this restaurant. Food was lovely and well prepared and cocktails were delicious. Although a bit pricy considering the portions. My friends and I ordered 5 small plates to share and a side which was enough for us but were willing to pay the price as it was a special occasion."

  • "I went there with my boyfriend after a friend recommended the place, and it was as described I would go again especially for brunch but I would not order the same meal. The salmon my boyfriend ordered for his brunch hit the spot for him."

  • "A friend and I went for breakfast here before heading to work. The menu was varied and it was hard to choose between all of the tempting offers (so much so that I will have to go back to try some of the other breakfast treats), service was friendly and prompt. Overall, I can't fault it."

  • "4th time I've been to this restaurant in the last 12 months, and it never fails to delight. Imaginative and interesting flavours on the menu. My friend and I sat in the fully open window looking onto the relaxed street. We chose a "sharing platter" followed by a selection of the "small plates" which made for a great tasting experience. Good and varied drinks menu too."

  • "I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for months, and I booked a table here for myself and 3 colleagues on a recent business trip to London. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, it really lived up to my expectations. My colleagues were not aware so had no expectations but they loved the food and atmosphere too. Service could be a little faster but it was busy. We were delighted with the table we got at the window. I will definitely be back, just need another excuse for a business trip over!"

  • "We had loved having brunch in Kopapa and were equally pleased by the pre theatre dinner. the food was delicious and imaginative and the service was outstanding. I spilled a glass of water and it was dried and replaced in a sensitive blink of an eye! The helpings were good..even on the set menu..this is not always the case. Now..we just need to check out the lunch menu for a full house!"

  • "I booked kopapa for my family and I before going to see swan lake at the opera house for my mums 60th. We enjoyed every bite of food and every sip of drink from start to finish...the service was also excellent thanks to the happy and upbeat staff. The taste of every dish was very unique...a real experience for me as a keen food enthusiast. Loved it and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an original and exciting dining experience."

  • "Went there with some friends who raved about the food. One friend is a vegetarian and he said best he has had for long time."
    dined on 01/08/2014
  • "The service was excellent as was the cocktails (nectarine and thyme and the mims). And as much as I would like to say the food was excellent, it fell short of breaking through that wall. Competently cooked and presented but it was lacking in emotions. When I go out for food, I expect a bit more; even with bad food, at least I can describe it as disgusting, bland etc. I can't even conjure up any descriptive words on the same level for this dinner. The food at Kopapa didn't taste bad but it didn't taste delicious either, it just tasted like someone who was going through the motions of knowing how to cook without the love put into it - quite "meh". I would like to give it another try but only if someone else really wants to go there."

  • "Stylish, European feel - partially because of the large open windows allowing the outside in. Many outside tables too. A place to be seen and to watch the passes by. Great burgers, steak sandwiches and chunky chef salads - and all very reasonably priced."

  • "Nice food Decent vino Service excellent No rush Enjoy"
    dined on 31/07/2014
  • "Has the potential to be a fantastic place to eat and drink however when compared to the multitude of other fantastic restaurents in London this falls very very short in so many ways.food - either too subtle or bland and over salted or sugared to compensate (most enjoyable was the rosemary fries) wine - poor wine list when compared to other places nearby (chosen sauvignon blanc was at the bottom of the wine list but really should of cost half the price and been towards the top) service - front of house and bar excellent but afraid terrible and very slow table service was only not an issue as our table was engrossed in conversation."
    dined on 29/07/2014
  • "Great restaurant with an especially interesting and unique menu, however the service was a bit all over the place - the waiters made a few mistakes confusing people's dishes and forgetting to put in an order. Perhaps because it was late at night, but aside from the service it was great."
    dined on 27/07/2014
  • "Really interesting menu. Geared towards real foodies. First time dining there but I would definitely return."
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "Not many options on the menu, but they are all delicious. The sweet potato mash is the best I've ever had. Is slightly pricey for what you get, but perfect for a pre/post theatre visit"

  • "Peter Gordon has done it again - amazing fusion food. Interesting varied menu and good options for all sizes of appetite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Go visit if you want your taste buds tantalised"
    dined on 26/07/2014
  • "The food is really nothing special... we were a large group. As a main I had dumplings ...that were fried and tasteless. They forgot my bosses duck... at least they didn't make us pay for his meal... which would be too much."
    dined on 25/07/2014
  • "We had a brunch here, 1030hrs. The decor is good, fresh & big windows open onto the street. The service was very attentive without being oppressive, water is topped up sporadically throughout the meal which is a definite plus. The coffee is very good. The brunch cocktails were refreshing with a little kick, which is what you want. The only slight issue was the table next to ours was quite close which made squeezing past for the bathroom awkward/uncomfortable. That said we had a very good morning/afternoon here with great food & drinks."

  • "Enjoyed a great lunch while meeting a new contact. Staff were efficient and the food was fabulous."

  • "The Wagu beef that we took as a main was thoroughly disappointing! I had to saw through the cartridge of the meat, which shouldn't happen if it's Wagu beef. Half of the meat was fat and it was a royal waste of money. The service was good nevertheless and so were the starters. I would recommend this place for drinks and starters, but that's about it!"
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "The drinks were very expensive and food was overpriced, but very tasty."
    dined on 21/07/2014
  • "Went there for gathering with friends, as the set menu looks pretty interesting and decent value. However, food did not live up to expectation - all the dishes were way too salty (especially the port belly), and completely overpowered whatever flavour some of the special ingredient (e.g. Miso, Yuzu etc) might bring out."
    dined on 20/07/2014
  • "I met a friend there for brunch. I liked the tap water being offered straight away. My friend had to try 3 times to get a coffee order despite someone coming to our table twice during that time... They then brought the wrong coffee. It took a long time to bring the replacement. The veg brunch options were limited. I had the avo on toast which was vastly over priced for one peice of toast and and avo. There was no atmosphere. While staff were polite they weren't warm or particularly efficient. Poor experience and we won't be returning"

  • "Excellent interesting menu and very good wine. Would get 5 stars if the tables weren't so tiny and cramped. The best restaurant for pre-theatre when going tomthe Donma"

  • "Myself and and a friend (both quite "foody") went for a pre theatre dinner, the food was unusual and tasty, the service fast and friend and the atmosphere quite "buzzy". I would definitely recommend, I hear the brunches are fab too!"
