A word from Kopapa
Kopapa is an all day restaurant located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden and is the second London offering from world-renowned chef Peter Gordon, co-founder of The Providores & Tapa Room in Marylebone Village. Kopapa serves fantastic breakfasts all week and is truly one of London's hottest brunch spots at weekends.

The all day menu offer is an international culinary adventure and a showcase for Peter’s wonderful cuisine. Whether it’s a mid-week lunch, pre-theatre supper, or a special dinner with a group of friends, Kopapa offers an exciting dining experience in the heart of the West End. The cocktail offering is innovative, the wine list concise but comprehensive and the bar - one of theatre land's best. And if sitting and sipping as the world passes by is your thing, the outdoor terrace provides Covent Garden’s best vantage point. Kopapa also offers delicious post theatre supper - and remember, we are always happy to cater for larger groups and children.

OMG, after 4 days of eating out for business and personal travel, Peter Gordan's Fusion dishes at Kopapa are the most memorable. Had dinner before the theatre and still thinking about the unique butternut squash soup with salted coconut and coriander. Even the flat bread caught my attention. I had two small plates: king scallop with cauliflower puree was so delicious that I had to close my eyes in delight, and the spring rolls were crispy but not greasy. Add a carafe of nice chardonnay, and my dinner was absolutely perfect. I browsed through the 3 cookbooks for sale but none had these recipies, otherwise I may have bought all three and lugged them to the theatre with me! Only distraction was how crowded and loud the restaurant is.

I booked the pre-theatre menu for my boyfriend and I thinking it was the 1st time I would have been there. Once I arrived I realised I had been on a Saturday for a coffee with my sister. On that occasion it was very busy - Service was slow so we ended up leaving a little frustrated. My recent experience was nicer. We ate around 5 or 6pm - it was much quieter so we could chat without struggling to hear and service was better! The waiter helped me with my food selection - glad I went for it in the end. However, my boyfriend had the cod and lentils- it didn't have any flavour. He also had a Bloody Mary that even to my Taste was very bland - literally just tasted of tomato juice. Portions were a little small too.

Plates were extremely small and definitely not worth the price. The recommended dish was only mediocre (Inari). The pork belly rice noodles was an odd combination and slightly too sour for my taste.

I do not mind paying for quality dining. Kopapa was not worth the price paid. The bill for two small plates, one side, and one main came up to almost 60 pounds which is ridiculous since it wasn't anything particularly special. I was not impressed by the quality of the food nor the ambiance of the restaurant, either. Would not recommend.

I've dined at kopapa several times recently. Mostly pre theatre but have also spent a very pleasant evening eating and drinking delicious cocktails. The food is delicious - full of ingredients you've rarely heard of but just go ahead and order a selection of small plates to share and you won't be disappointed. The service has always been incredibly friendly and efficient and they are well used to people needing to eat quickly before the theatre. Cocktails are excellent. Wine list is on the pricey side for the overall vibe. Busy, buzzy place so not suitable for elderly relatives with hearing problems. I really rate kopapa. Much prefer it to providores, Peter Gordon's other venture in Marylebone.

This is a buzzy restaurant with a lively atmosphere, The food is unusual with a Middle Eastern flavour and unusual combinations, I ate from the prix fixe menu and it offered unusual choices - Japanese marinated smoked salmon, and pork belly with miso mash and spring greens - for a reasonable £21 for three courses. The cheapest wine was £25 but it was flavoursome and smooth so not bad value.

Went there for our wedding anniversary. Nice and busy with pre-theatre customers. Cocktails went down well but took some time to come as one lady behind the bar. Food choice great with large main meal or small plate options, we opted for several small & weren't disappointed. The food took us around the world, from Korean chilli beef tartare to Indian tempura spiced Dahl inari pockets which we're amazing as was the deep fried urfa squid. Only thing that was a bit off was having to ask 2 people for a top up of water. But apart from that a very enjoyable evening.

My boyfriend and I went for brunch two years ago and it was superb. A few months later we went for dinner and... not so good. We gave it another chance on Thursday for breakfast and it was not even mediocre. I wouldn't have paid half of what I actually paid for what we had. Boring and tasteless. They've definitely gone downhill.

Visited over the weekend with a group of friends. Service was faultless, staff were very friendly and helpful, and able to confidently point out gluten free dishes and make suggestions on how to amend dishes to ensure they were gluten free. We worked our way through the small plate section of the menu - everything was delicious, and pretty reasonably priced for the area. Would definitely recommend a visit.

6 of us went for dinner at Kopapa on a Friday evening. Having previously been for brunch (excellent), I was expecting good things and was not disappointed. We shared a platter of olives, chorizo, baba ganoush, bread and some other bits, and some corn croquettes. Our group then went a little freestyle, with two people have a big plate each (duck breast, pork belly & noodle broth) with the rest of us sharing 9 small plates and sides. The small plates were very good, plenty big enough to share and lots of variety - chilli beef tartare, lamb samosas, grilled aubergine and a few other things that were down the other end of the table. Along with this we had a couple of bottles of great value New Zealand Pinot Noir. All for just under £40 a head.

Kopapa serves a great variety of small and mid plates along with large plates so it is easy to have a tasty pre theatre meal, sharing several different plates. I have been to Kopapa several times before theatre, always with friends, and we have all been impressed with the variety of choices, the speed and friendliness of service. It's a great addition to SevenDials and now becoming an institution. Long may it reign.

Buzzy atmosphere, relaxed but good service. Two of us had dinner here on a Thursday eve - we had six small plates between us and they were all amazing. Highlights were the caramelised onion, potato, edamame & feta tortilla and the Teriyaki glazed mackerel, avocado puree & sweetcorn. Cocktails also delicious - try the Mims. Disappointed that we had no room for pudding as they all sounded equally mouthwatering. Will be going back to try them!

I've been to Kopapa before (for breakfast and lunch) and this time I was here for dinner. The food is great and the staff are friendly, but the service is REALLY slow. Sometimes it felt like we'd been forgotten, and when they took our main plates away, it was quite a while before we had the opportunity to ask for the dessert menu. I do like this restaurant and the food is good, and whilst the staff are friendly and helpful when you get their attention, you do get left alone a bit, which is surprising since the restaurant isn't that big.

I booked a table for a special occasion on the recommendation of a friend. Was disappointed to find the Covent Garden branch quite dirty, touristy, and food quite bland. Prices are obviously at the higher end for brunch so was expecting something a bit more memorable. Staff were pleasant enough but disinterested and never once asked how the meal was even when i left half of mine after discovering a hair... Wont be going back!

The choice of foods here is fantastic as they are original and interesting takes on some regular dishes. My only criticism was that when I ordered the Caesar salad without anchovies on it they were still included. The waiter was attentive and took it away immediately, however the kitchen staff simply removed the anchovies and sent the same dish back out. This was not the best solution as I could still taste the fish throughout the salad. Having said that the food was very nice indeed and the waiting staff were very good at the service they provided.
