A word from Kopapa
Kopapa is an all day restaurant located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden and is the second London offering from world-renowned chef Peter Gordon, co-founder of The Providores & Tapa Room in Marylebone Village. Kopapa serves fantastic breakfasts all week and is truly one of London's hottest brunch spots at weekends.

The all day menu offer is an international culinary adventure and a showcase for Peter’s wonderful cuisine. Whether it’s a mid-week lunch, pre-theatre supper, or a special dinner with a group of friends, Kopapa offers an exciting dining experience in the heart of the West End. The cocktail offering is innovative, the wine list concise but comprehensive and the bar - one of theatre land's best. And if sitting and sipping as the world passes by is your thing, the outdoor terrace provides Covent Garden’s best vantage point. Kopapa also offers delicious post theatre supper - and remember, we are always happy to cater for larger groups and children.

My friend had a mango smoothie (delicious) and the soft shell crab burger which looked big and juicy - she thought it was worth coming back. I had the steak sandwich which was true perfection - well seasoned, pink, melt in your mouth steak, a perfectly balanced aiosle on smoky chargrilled bread. Happy every time I eat at Kopapa!

I had a lunch here recently. The service was excellent and although the food was tasty, the portions were small and it was expensive for what it is. There were also not enough vegetarian choices which was disappointing. Because the service was so good, I would consider going again, but probably limit it to a business type lunch.

Ate here with friends on Saturday morning. Buzzy place, nice service, relaxed vibe. It's fairly pricey for breakfast I'd say but it is the heart of west end. I had the turkish eggs, and actually they were really disgusting. 2 poached eggs in bowl of oil and whipped cream. However, I think this was probably just me, as they're famous for this dish, it just wasn't to my taste. Plus, my cousin asked for no mushrooms with his dish, and this was ignored, not end of world but bit irritating at this price.

Although we had booked a table we were sat in a dreadful table squashed in at the back by the stairs to the toilets even though it was 5.30pm and the place was almost empty. We did get moved after asking but again right next to where the dirty dishes were stacked. The service was OK and the food was tasty and good value for the London location at £18.95 for 2 courses, but we wouldn't go back .

OMG, after 4 days of eating out for business and personal travel, Peter Gordan's Fusion dishes at Kopapa are the most memorable. Had dinner before the theatre and still thinking about the unique butternut squash soup with salted coconut and coriander. Even the flat bread caught my attention. I had two small plates: king scallop with cauliflower puree was so delicious that I had to close my eyes in delight, and the spring rolls were crispy but not greasy. Add a carafe of nice chardonnay, and my dinner was absolutely perfect. I browsed through the 3 cookbooks for sale but none had these recipies, otherwise I may have bought all three and lugged them to the theatre with me! Only distraction was how crowded and loud the restaurant is.

Thursday night - very buzzy atmosphere, rather loud but bearable...I had dined here a couple of times before and, being vegetarian, had been impressed with the food on offer. Both times previously, we had managed to try a number of unusual, different dishes; mostly things that we would not dream of cooking at home, even if we could, This time around, the food was tasty but, apart from the inari dahl tempura dish, all seemed a bit "easy" - I could imagine cooking any of one them at home and I would not have paid £120 (with one bottle of wine) for the privilege of dining with three friends. The service was not a patch on before - stroppy waitress who seemed to ignore us much of the time, splashed with water...the list goes on. disappointed

A fantastic restaurant with top class, interesting food. But what is best about this place is the value for money, 2 courses for under £20 in Covent Garden is excellent, considering the high standard of food. A busy place perfect for trying something completely new. I would recommend to adventurous eaters on a budget!

This is a lovely little restaurant with a wonderful, if somewhat pricey, wine list. The food is delicious, between us all we had steak, pig belly and sea bass and everything was beautifully presented. The desserts as well are gorgeous and the sharing platter as a starter was a great start to the meal. The crab burger also looked delicious and at £12.50 was pretty reasonably priced. This is quite an expensive restaurant so I would recommend it for client entertainment or a special occasion.

I booked the pre-theatre menu for my boyfriend and I thinking it was the 1st time I would have been there. Once I arrived I realised I had been on a Saturday for a coffee with my sister. On that occasion it was very busy - Service was slow so we ended up leaving a little frustrated. My recent experience was nicer. We ate around 5 or 6pm - it was much quieter so we could chat without struggling to hear and service was better! The waiter helped me with my food selection - glad I went for it in the end. However, my boyfriend had the cod and lentils- it didn't have any flavour. He also had a Bloody Mary that even to my Taste was very bland - literally just tasted of tomato juice. Portions were a little small too.

The ambience was very good and viby. The whole area is vibrant and busy. Some of the food for my friends was good, mine personally was just ok. I had the Wasabi & yuzu cured salmon, wakame & cucumber salad - it was mostly a creme fresh tart with some pineapple pure' on top. Not much salmon at all. I had the Grilled “weeping tiger” hanger steak, jasmine rice cake, choi sum - I asked for medium rare, it came rare. Which I was ok with, but the stead was very chewy and the seads were very hard. The waitress kept clearing plates while everyone else was still eating which was very distracting, we had to ask the manager to ask her to wait till we were all done. A bit of a disapointment overall but they were very friendly.

The location is fantastic if you want to wander round Covent Garden or Central London in general afterwards - for a spot of shopping, etc. The decor is modern, and interesting, and it doesn't feel crowded despite the tables being packed extremely close together. There is a good level of choice on the menu, but it is as typically expensive as other restaurants of this kind (e.g. £4 for a glass of orange juice!). The hot smoked salmon with spinach, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was disappointing and did not have many bold flavours. The "Turkish Eggs" - a signature dish - were fantastic, especially with a side of grilled chorizo (the best I've ever had). The freshly made donuts were excellent. Come and visit, but choose carefully!

We recently had brunch at Kopapa. The food was excellent and we all really enjoyed our dishes (softshell crab burger was exceptional). Unfortunately, the service was extremely rude and kicked us out before our desserts arrived (10 min before the end of our reservation) as there was another booking for our table right after ours. We found that particularly inappropriate as we were sitting and waiting for 15 minutes without anyone attending to us after finishing our mains. I should say that the manager very nicely apologized for this, so I don't think it's Kopapa's policy to be rude to their guests but it was still the worst service we've received so far in London. The space is nice, but cramped and noisy.

Went to Kopapa last saturday for brunch - booked in advance and when we arrived at 10.30 it was already quite full, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. Service and food were great and it's located in a nice part of covent garden. I ordered the granola and fruit salad with a flat white and the mixed juice. All were lovely - if I had one criticism it would be the juice could have been a little colder perhaps with ice but other than that it was the perfect sunday brunch! friendly staff but not OTT.

The excessive noise just added to the sense of it not being a particularly enjoyable place to be. Service was a bit rough round the edges - rushed and perfunctory. Food was interesting as ever but it wasn't a pleasant experience overall. I was quite disappointed.

Kopapa on a Saturday night surrounded by pop-up cocktail bars makes for a noisy evening. However, the small plates were very tasty, as were the cocktails. Yuzu margarita especially good. One quibble: why when they know people are sharing do they put one huge scallop on a plate and one tiny one? And then you have to cut the scallops in half to share them? How about two equal-sized scallops for the price? Service was a little erratic, (asked by two different people for drinks orders, not asked for food order for ages) though charming in the end.

6pm Saturday night and restaurant full and buzzing- good start. Bread & Oil very nice and fresh. Starters came a bit too quickly, and one was not hot and the other almost cold - we charitably decided that maybe it was meant to be (Tortilla) but warmth would have improved it. VERY long wait until the mains. Tables cramped and place very noisy so conversation difficult as everyone had to talk loudly everywhere. Eventually the mains arrived, a side of (puny) chips piping hot, one course only warm but the tempura was virtually cold, my wife couldn't eat it, but rather than wait another hour, I did. It was tasty and had potential. Quite clearly the kitchen was not coping, as everyone was waiting. They then tripled the bill! We won't be back.
