A word from Las Ramblas
Welcome to Las Ramblas -Tapas Bar and Restaurant.....the Food, the Music and the Culture of Spain has arrived in Bearsden!!
Tapas are a traditional way of life in Spain and their influence has spread throughout the world. A tapa was originally a small side plate or bowl containing a few nuts, olives and a chunk of cheese or ham served as an accompaniment to wine, beer or sherry as a between meals snack or an appetiser.
Today, following many years of Moor, Berber and European influence, the range of ingredients has become more varied and tapas has become an exotic, versatile and popular way to enjoy a meal.
Tapas are ideal for sharing amongst friends and it is customary for a group to order a selection of dishes to be served throughout the meal until diners' appetites are satisfied. For the uninitiated, we recommend that two to three tapas per person are ordered for a main meal.
We provide fresh food daily, sourced from premier local suppliers.

Overall we had a nice dinner although the ceeling in the kitchen started leaking which was slightly worrying, the food was nice but not outstanding. I wouldn't recommend the meatballs as they were quite tough and tasted processed but the chicken was lovely

Greatly enjoyed lunch with a friendl The tapas were interesting and tasty and 3 tapas for just under £10 were good value; but the extra side portion of bread and a fruit juice were expensive. Very good service and attractive ambience. I would like to try their Sangria in summer but the toilets are up 2 flights of stairs which may rule it out for me. Very good coffee!

Food was great but a lot of the dishes came out when rest had been eaten so had no acompany with it. There was very long waits. Tapas usually comes out together so everyone can share and mix and match. It felt more like eating at a restaurant where you expect to wait between courses .

Restaurant in a very good location and the decor sets the scene. Well staffed and the service is better than average, but it all falls over when the food arrives. We used to get 3 portions of tapas each, and that was plenty. This time we got 5 each, and it was still lacking. Considering the prices have gone up by 50% on the menu, you get stung for paying more and getting less on your plate. £6 for a glass of house white, and £4 for just 2 small scoops of ice-cream. Had to wait another 15 minutes at the end to be presented with the bill and another 10 minutes waiting on our jackets. I've been to this restaurant dozens of times since it first appeared, but I don't think I'll bother in future.

Quite nice but nothing spectacular. Service was fairly good, food was slow though and took an hour to arrive. That said it was Mothers Day and busy so maybe it's not always that slow. In my opinion the food was reasonable but the portions were small (smaller than other tapas I have had, the beef and some of the chicken dishes were very small). No bread basket unfortunately. I would not return to this restaurant, there is not one of the 12 dishes we had that were memorable or particularly tasty. Overall i'd rate it as edible but dull.

Always had a good experience with Las Ramblas, and we turned up on Monday Night expecting the usual buzz, but the restaurant was almost empty. As we looked at the menu we noticed the £1 menu was now £1.50 a plate - still value for money but no increase in portion size. Despite it being very quiet it still took a good 15 minutes before our order was taken, and while, in the past once service had started at your table you would be sure that all your order would be with you in a few minutes this time the came in dribs and drabs for no apparent reason - it took almost 15 minute for the selection of cold meats to arrive! And to cap it all on the cheese plate the side salad was rotten or rotting depending on how you look at it. Never again!

Unfortunately the restaurant was busy, they had a large party in for a 30th birthday celebration, plus other tables. When I made my booking I requested a booth table, we were allocated a small round table on the left. As the waitress was serving the other table beside me, or if they went to the toilet they constantly bumped into my chair. My partner and I could barely hear each other across the small table. It took 10 minutes before our drinks arrived to the table, I have been to this restaurant a few times before and I feel the drink service is always slow but the quality of food is why I return.

Not bad but just wasn't inspired by the food, I have had better in Glasgow city centre and it's been better value for the cost. Little things like having no Spanish lager on draught and the potatis bravas was like aunt Bessie's roast potatoes with passata on top. Also had to flag down waiters to get attention although it wasn't that busy.

Service was very poor, Restaurant was very quiet yet getting drinks/food/desert/bill was very difficult, staff not very attentive. Food was below average, items like garlic bread made from bread bought out of asda only toasted on one side and could hardly taste a hint of garlic.. Chicken dishes very bland. Portion size was small dispite the dishes being tapas! Even main meal dishes Fajitas/Burger these were also small portions. I had Moroccan Chicken which was just chunks of chicken breast covered in sweet chilli sauce, not very Moroccan. We sat at a table for 6, We were sat at 3 tables for 2 joined together yet one table was much lower than the other two. Not a big issue but still a bit odd. We won't be eating here again.

Booked a table for 14 as a works get-together, and was really happy with the whole night. price -wise £1 menu on a tues night (lots on it ) the regular menu wasnt too expensive either. bottle of house white £14.95 and it wasnt too shabby. The only complaint I had was that the people in our group who ordered the dipping bread, got it about 15mins before anyone else got served, so they (2 of them) felt a bit uncomfortable munching away while the rest of us were eyeing up their food! but once we were all eating it was worth it. My staff are already asking when we are going again, So thumbs up all round.

I love visiting Las Ramblas and the food in general is lovely. However I will never understand why you insist on adding corriander to a tortilla!!! I raised this in my last feedback and i was hoping when i returned if would have been changed back to the way you used to make the tortilla which never had corriander in it. I personally love corriander but in a chilli or a curry. Please Las Ramblas do not revert back ti the way you were years ago which really was a toss up betweeen Indian food and Spanish food. It was the one reason why we stoppef coming and went to La Tasca instead. If your a spanish tapas bar/restaurant then please get rid of the corriander in the tortilla!!

We had a great meal at Las Ramblas on Saturday. We go there a lot for tapas and often dine on their special offers such as the lunch menu or £1 tapas deal. Met at the door by a nice welcome from the manager, taken to a quiet table . Our waiter was delightful and very attentive - I think his name was Andrew. I tucked into a main meal for a change from tapas and had a special - Spanish Sizzler. Utterly delicious! I hope they put it on their permanent A La Carte menu - the lamb was cooked perfectly and beautifully seasoned. Polished off with hot caramel apple crunch and tablet ice cream! I'd definitely recommend it and if you go regularly for the tapas menu, trying a wee change and having a main course as ours were fab!

I am currently teaching in Bearsden and have an hour or so to spare so I have been grabbing a sandwich from a supermarket until a parent of one of my pupils recommended Las Ramblas for £1 tapas! The food was absolutely fantastic - I particularly liked the cinnamon apple and blackpudding salad which was recommended to me by one of the lovely waiters. I will definitely be visiting again!
