We had a very nice evening at Lima Fitzrovia. There is an amazing Peruvian stuff to enjoy (food, atmosphere, staff...) about which we have just a couple of things to say. First, our waitress was very nice but she didn't had time to us to order wine and spirits (for the dinner and the desserts) while she already was taken the menus from our hands. Second, all the food it is amazing (a piece of Peru on your mouth directly to your brain, superb!), however one of the main courses (the Amazon Paiche fish) was dry, maybe over cooked, if you compare its texture with the Sea Bass Chalaca. This is the best Peruvian restaurant in London at the moment, terrific to prove the difference between who knows about Peru and who doesn't. Highly recomendable.

The starters were amazing, but the mains both arrived and were cold/ luke warm. Eating cold duck breast and beef in a restaurant let alone Michelin star is really not great. When I pulled the waitress aside abd told her They offered a free dessert but still charged for the mint tea and full price on mains

We went to Lima for my Mother's birthday lunch. The service was fantastic with a very welcoming atmosphere and lots of lovely (and also spicy) cocktails to ease us into our wonderful three course meal. Every course was sensationally presented along with explanation from the maître d'hôtel (as Spanish is not my first second or third language) which was very helpful. This restaurant come highly recommended as a brilliant culinary/cultural experience! 5 stars! Although the set menu is not available on Saturday, the value for money was well worth it!

Great food. Highly stylized if you like your food colourful and like a piece of modern art then this is the place for you. Flavours deliver but there's a lot of purple - corn, potatoes and olive sauce - and some garish reds and oranges on the plates. Small quibble with the fact one of the mains came out late but generally the service and ambiance were top notch. not at all Michelin style - very much more relaxed. Reasonably priced wine list - Peruvian Red and Uruguayan White for £75 ish but overall not a cheap meal at all.

This was the first time we had been to Lima and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was fantastic - we had both fish and meat dishes for starters and mains. The service was great and included an in depth explanation of the menu, which was very useful. The only downside was how close the tables are next to each other so that customers are right on top of each other, which would not have been so bad except for the fact we had the most miserable, impolite couple sitting next to us.

Staff were very helpful in guiding us through the menu, and knowledgeable about the wine list. (Excellent white Rioja). Food was interesting, the ceviche was delicious and the lamb special was, well, special. Was rather shocked to find how much we'd spent though. Someone didn't seem to quite justify the final reckoning.

This was my second time and it was as special as I remember it from the first time. The food is light, but the flavours rich. The tastes and the combinations different to anything I've had, but really work wonderfully. Presentation is like being in an art gallery. Staff are very friendly and efficient. It is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. It is now my favourite London restaurant.

The staff were polite and knowledgable which was imperative given a difficult to understand menu. The food was of high quality, well presented with interesting flavours. However, the restaurant would certainly not be everyones taste. Its most similar to mexican flavours so if you do not like mexican, you may not enjoy Lima

Reading the menu, I had severe misgivings and pictured where I could eat afterwards as I was 'starving'. Tiger milk! raw fish and banana possibly with some sort of bean was completely unappealing. HOWEVER, luckily my lunch mate insisted that I not panic and give it a go. We enjoyed the meal so much that we ate two starters, a main course and pudding! I would put it up there with a Fat Duck experience, I can still taste the flavours. The staff are terribly friendly but a bit more of the fine linen and crystal would be nice. It feels a bit like sitting in a canteen.

For those who have been or are planning to go to Peru and those who are willing to try something original and different, Lima - London can be a good choice at any time of the year. Do not miss a pisco sour on your arrival which is the peruvian's national drink and if you like a variety of the original version with lime the passion fruit one is also delicious. Lovely food, very nice and friendly staff, a very good restaurant located only 7mins walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station. Buen provecho! Ursula

Took a client out to lunch and quite frankly was not only embarrassing but also an experience I never wish to repeat. The service was terrible, a bunch of headless chickens, having no idea what is on the menu, had to retake my order 3 times! They ended up bringing too many dishes to the table. Food took ages to come (a good 40 min at lunch) and my colleagues mash potatoes was cold. I didn't think my dish was anything particular: small pieces of grilled salmon on a non descript mushy base. Seriously would never go back and I think that's terribly disappointing as I had been wanting to go of a very long time following the good reviews.

Excellent food. Truly terrible service, to the point they should be ashamed of how bad it is. Delivering food to the wrong table, letting the diners start eating it when the diners said they didn't order it, and then taking the plates from under their noses to give it to the right table, and thinking that's totally ok after the food's already been picked at. Delivering one dessert order and not the other, so one diner's sitting there with nothing. And more. Come for the early bird menu (3 courses and a drink for £23) - a good deal for the quality of the food, but expect to be served by completely clueless, inexperienced staff. The normal dinner menu is about twice the price, which most people wouldn't want to pay for such poor service.

We went for the set lunch, which was excellent value at £23 for 3 courses. As only two options per course, and just two of us, we ate the entire menu and it was all delicious. Plus the great price allows you to justify a few pisco sours! The staff were excellent and took time to explain lots of ingredients which we didn't recognise - and to recommend drinks. A very relaxed, light space, and everyone there seemed to be having a great time which added to the atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back again.

Original and imaginative menu which was totally delicious. Excellent attentive though not overbearing service. But portions are embarrassingly small. Booked the Top Table £20 2 course special but starters were no more than amuse bouche and main courses no more than starters! Desserts were half a table spoon of ice cream. We also realised after leaving that we had been charged 2 x £4.50 for 2 small cocktails which were supposed to be complimentary as part of the deal. Portions would have been acceptable as part of a multi-course tasting menu. We won't be returning.

Yes it is an average restaurant. First time I tried it cost quite a bit, but this time I purchased the lunch offer and it was quite reasonable. I think the portions should be a little larger. You can eat well but the service is't at its best. Also the tables were not cleaned properly. They were sticky and had crams on them. I show one of the waiters cleaning a table with a cloth, throwing the crams on the floor and not bothering to ensure he cleaned it correctly. With a little more attention it would be great.
