Dinner with my husband and a friend were uplifted by eating at Mews, the food was great as always with all our meals being of a really good standard, great wine list, and the lager brought in beautiful silver tankards. Service was relaxed and charming - great.

Nice dim lit restaurant/bar perfect for weekend drinks and large groups. Cocktails were a bit overpriced at £14 and really weak. Stick to Wine! Service was slow but this could potentially be because we were a group of 8 and it was a friday night. The lobster mac and cheese and the mews burger are the best options on the menu! Really delicious.

They forgot to call to advise the dining room was suddenly closed for refurbishment. We were seated in another area near the bar for dinner. Half way through dinner we did not get all our meals. Went looking for the server and was told she up and left. The bartender came and assisted as best as he could. We had to wait for dessert. They completely forgot us and when we were through we had to go looking for someone to prepare the check.

What impressed me most about Mews was its settings. It is located in the alleys like a hidden gem. Food wise, quality is good, portion is fair, but a little on the pricier side. Desserts, especially Dark Chocolate, is brilliant. Serving of food can be done faster. Been here twice, and will be coming back for more.

We ate in the restaurant on the first floor - a small dining space with around 40-50 covers. The tables were beautifully set and the decor was extremely stylish and attractive. The menu offers a wide range of interesting looking choices and the chosen food was well cooked and was of a very high quality. The service was helpful, without being invasive. The dining experience was generally enjoyable - the only downside was that when we wanted to enjoy a post dinner drink we were told that there was a waiting list for tables. The person in question took some pleasure in telling us this (concealed with a measure of faux politeness typical of Mayfair clubs). This, unfortunately, spoiled the end to our evening.

Excellent food in a beautiful setting. The roast beef was perfectly pink in the middle and they give generous thick slices. A little short on the roast vege though. Fabulous macaroni and cheese. Portion was huge. The place is a little tricky to find because it is in a little alley.

The food tasted mediocre overall not worth the money we paid. Service was poor compared to our first visit. It's shame because we were really looking forward to dining there. We enjoyed a valentine menu at Mews. The food and location were great, but on the pricy side. Service was fine but staff was a bit rushed and passed our corner table about twice per minute... We also had to ask for some more romantic music, there was hard rock playing when we came in....

There was six of us and I have to say we got zero attention from the waiters, which was quite surprising as the restaurant wasn't full. We had to ask for every single thing: the menus, if we can order, if we can get the bill, if we can pay. If we wouldn't have asked the waitress wouldn't come to our table at all. Considering this is supposed to be an upscale restaurant, the service was shocking. Food was very good, however I wouldn't go back again.

Place is like a tardis with a selection of bar and dining areas inside & out. Food was very good and nice sized portions. Service was attentive right up until the end of the evening when we had to wait for a while to attract someone to get the bill. However would certainly go again and recommend it to others.

I found the location interesting, next to a few other bar/restaurants down a quite alleyway. The restaurant itself was not too big and food selection was good. However I found it strange that on a Thursday evening we had to wait 15 minutes for the menu to be printed? downsides - no bottled tonic water only what came from the 'mixer tap', there is nothing worse than cheap, tasteless, flat mixers, - the waitress that served us did not know what items the food was served with so we ordered vegetables we didn' really need to - may go back but wouldn't be top of my list

A friend recommended this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. This wasn't our first choice but it had availability and really easy to get to from our hotel at Marble arch. We were early and they were accommodating. Long wait for food but to be honest we didn't realise until the waitress apologised! Food was good. I seen better menus but what we got was worth the wait. Vast wine selection and even the house wine was delicious. I would return again.

I have been to Mews of Mayfair many times before. That time, we went there with three friends and I was sadly disappointed. It was on January 2nd. Our waitress was nice but despite the restaurant being very quiet we had to, each time, fight to get their attention when the staff was mostly joking either at the bar or at the welcome desk. The cocktails were OK but not as good as usual. The wine list was uninspiting. The food was disappointing with the starter portions being tiny, the mains bordering on bland and the desserts being very sub-standard. I would be tempted not to ever go back.

After a relevantly good dining experience with the girlies the other night we asked for the bill when the bill arrived, my friend, thankfully, decided to give the bill a quick once over to our disgust and disappointment we noticed we had been overcharged by £50 for several alcoholic drinks we did not have. On pointing this error out to the waiter he just about managed an apology. I'm hoping it was an error anyway. Very annoyed.

. The place was buzzing & we loved the whole atmosphere. We found all staff to be friendly & efficient - from the guy on the door, to the lady welcoming diners to the brasserie, to the waiter. The food was very enjoyable - crab mayonnaise, fish cakes, fish & chips were all beautifully cooked & well presented. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert, was not the best I've ever had & probably let things down a bit. However, we spent around £100 for 2 of us for 3 courses & bottle of wine, which considering the Mayfair location, is really not bad. There are tables lining the alleyway, with drinkers & diners enjoying the outdoor heated areas & this all adds to the atmosphere as you find your way to the restaurant entrance. Overall - a lovely evening.

The food was not as exceptional as before. The sticky toffee pudding tasted a bit rubbery as if re-heated in a microwave. The ice cream was nearly already melted by the time it got to us . The waitress spilled wine all down my glass and onto the table and made no attempt to clear it up. We made no complaint on the night about any of it as we put it down to an "off night". The main course was superb - I had the lamb and my wife fish and chips and they were both faultless. Last time we visited earlier this year it was all faultless so we hope to return again and find it back to normal.
