Started off on a bad note, booked via OT but the restaurant said they had no record of the offer we chose (3 courses + prosecco - failure on OT's part) so waiter refused to serve us offer. So we got up to leave but the manager caught us before we left and said he would let us have the offer and took us back to our seat. Thanks to him. Food was lovely, we had the meat and veg starter platter which had a lovely selection - chicken tikka, shish samosa etc. Main we had the Chicken, Fish and Paneer - all very tasty. Service (other than the manager) not much to write home about (especially the 1st waiter) but the food was lovely. Music was extremely loud though - could barely have a conversation without shouting to each other.

Wonderful discovery tucked under Suffolk Place, bustling trendy bar and comfortable tables with room to breathe, food bursting with flavour, and no hint of oils or grease that happens sometimes with Indian food. There is one in the City and Dubai, and I plan on visiting both! Congratulations to Mr Punjabi for a wonderful food evening.

I came here for my 21st Birthday and had never been here before. I firstly loved the layout and setting of the restaurant, great decor and ambience! It has one of the prettiest and cleanest bars I've ever seen! We ordered from a special OpenTable menu which was excellent value for the dinner- otherwise the A La Carté menu can come up pricey. However everything we ate on the menu was delicious! It's making my mouth water thinking about the food and delicious cocktails! The staff are also incredibly friendly and even brought out a birthday desert for me which was extra special! Would definitely recommend coming here to anybody wanting a special dinner!

I took a friend of mind visiting from abroad to the Mint Leaf so she could taste Indian cuisine. It was a great deal - 3 (substantial) courses and a drink - and the food was delicious. It was creative and very tasty. Our server was wonderful. It was a pretty full restaurant with larger group bookings and several couples there on a seeminly romantic date. Great restaurant, fun atmosphere.

My husband and I dined at Mint Leaf on Tuesday and my only thought upon leaving was 'what a waste of our time and money'. The starters of Monkfish tails and saddle of lamb were tasty but small portions and lacking any presentation and come with a price tag one would expect of a fine dining restaurant. But Mint Leaf is not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination. The mains came in white bowls and were simply chucks of meat in a sauce that did not taste remotely authentic. No presentation. I could've made better myself! And the nerve to charge £19 for a bowl of what was essentially 6 bits of lamb and sauce is day light robbery. We won't be back i'm afraid. The location is not a reason to hike up prices Mint Leaf!

I visited Mint Leaf again having had a wonderful dining experience here the previous Sunday. This time I brought a group of friends visiting from abroad. We opted for the OpenTable set menu offer & it was interesting to try a mix of starters to begin with - I quite enjoyed the Kerala fish curry with rice for the mains, and the mango brûlée finished off the meal quite nicely. As before, the service was brilliant. It's quite a stylish restaurant and yet still maintains quite a homely feel. Another enjoyable evening & I look forward to visiting again soon.

I booked a table at Mint Leaf for my friend's hen party and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. We had a party of 8 people and were shown to a table in a more private area of the restaurant, so it was nice to experience the lovely ambience whilst still having some level of intimacy. The food was delicious & it was nice that everyone was able to share dishes. The service was impeccable and we were given ample time to make our choices and leisurely finish our meal. Overall, a wonderful little gem.

A really upmarket curry meal, for ourselves and our 2 vegetarian sons. The food was delicious The open table offer was good value, to which we added 3 side dishes and some cobra beer so £125 for 4 people in total. They put a candle in the mango brûlée as it was a birthday celebration. Comfortable chairs, unobtrusive music, staff attentive but not pushy, and soft lighting made for a pleasant atmosphere

Met up with some old work colleagues for dinner here. We had the fixed price menu which made it easy to choose and meant we could concentrate on catching up. With extra drinks it came to about £35 a head, which considering where this restaurant is was good value. Everything is downstairs, so it's dark whatever time of day you visit, but my friends visit regularly and I'll be going back again. Smart decor - relaxed atmosphere, and the tasty food came quickly once we ordered.

I went for the mixed vegetable as a starter. However it came rolled up in like a soft pattie. This is not what I expected from mixed vegetables and was not too enthralled by the taste. I played it safe with my main selection - the chicken jalfrezi. This was tasty with the right amount of spice. In terms of value I think mint-leaf was a bit too pricey and I came away thinking I could have got more value for money elsewhere. My cocktail - the deep thinker, was more ice or rather iceberg than rum or any other ingredient. You may think people don't notice the subtle techniques you apply to save you money but we do. It's stingy and tight. Nonetheless, Mint Leaf had a very nice ambiance and friendly staff and still worth a try at least once.

My friend and I arrived for dinner at 5.30pm and despite all the candles, I presume for ambience purposes, and my usually good eyesight - it was so dark that I struggled to read the menu or look at the papers that we had wanted to discuss! It was about 7pm before the lights were adjusted and everyone could see! The food choice was limited and although the portion sizes were very very small (e.g. the mains would pass as a starter in most London restaurants), the food itself was tasty. The waiter service was efficient, albeit clinical, but it was not rushed and the menu knowledge advice was good. Overall a nice experience from the moment that the lights were adjusted to enable us to see each other, what we were eating and our surroundings!!

Went as a party of 4. Very expensive if it wasn't for the Open Table offer. Vegetarian tasting menu had a good selection and well flavoured. All the food was well presented. Staff were excellent, friendly and humorous. Only the chicken and lamb is halal, not duck or guinea fowl so they were happy to alter their fixed menu for us. We're all teetotal too, so they swapped the prosecco for a mocktail. Might be worth taking a light pullover as the air conditioning makes it a little too cold. All in all a very pleasant dining experience. We'd definitely recommend.

I chose Mint Leaf as I'd been here before & the experience had been pleasurable. Not this time. Ambiance for this place means low-level lighting & lots of black. Works for young couples maybe but not when you've got a seventy-something Mum in tow waiting for cataract surgery. I kept thinking she'd fall on the raised 'catwalk' affair. Health & Safety issues much? Case in point, the waiter accidentally knocked my prosecco over me. Ordered the OpenTable menu. The food was distinctly average but presented well. Mutton dressed as lamb? A good restaurant knows how to handle mistakes. In this case, they agreed to top up my glass (what? after knocking it over?) remove the service charge (like I was going to pay that?!) & a cup of tea. Best Avoided

We had a Toptable special offer and were blown away with the quality of food and price and nice glass of bubbles with the offer so made it special!. The food was wonderful and different. However if you want the ambience of an Indian restaurant this is not it as it is very international in feel. You walk in and feel you are in a trendy bar (and in fact there is a trendy bar area!). Despite the size there is an intimacy because there are lots of separate areas. Waiting for next offer and hoping one at end of August as we have friends from abroad and want to take them.

I have heard great things about this restaurant, so when i saw this deal online, i had to book! On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who took our coats & showed us through to the bar. The bar staff we very attentive & knew their drinks. Sadly, that is where the organised staff stayed. We had a mixture of waitresses seeing to our table, but were still slow on refilling our drinks & when we were trying to make contact to pay our bill they had all disappeared. I got up at one point to ask where the ladies were & saw two members of staff having 'words' with the manager. Not one stopped to assist me! The food however, was incredible! I am a real foodie & love Asia cuisine. The food was up there with some of the best i have ever had.

Myself and my girlfriend went here for her birthday and were not disappointed. The service was very good; friendly and speedy without being overbearing or rushed. The food was very tasty. Up there with some of thethe nicest indian meals I have had. The cocktail happy hour was an added bonus and the cocktails themselves were lovely. The atmosphere was very nice. The look of the place was dimly lit but not too much. The value could be slightly better as we did not have any deals. Overall I would strongly recommend and will return.

I often visit and have the pre theatre set menu. The restaurant is very well placed for the theatres. It is excellent value with good sized portions, fabulous flavours and a wonderful ambience in which to eat. Not sure how often the menu changes but recently visited and had exactly the same menu as the week before. The menu is also quite limited but when with friends we normally choose a different selection each and then share. I have yet to be disappointed. Will continue to visit.

We found this wonderful restaurant while browsing the internet for a place to eat during our 3 night stay in London. We stopped at the Thistle Hotel Piccadilly and the Mint Leaf was about 2-3 mins walk down the road. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table (booking advisable). Great menu and when the food arrived it was outstanding. I would class this Indian restaurant as a very trendy place to eat and relax after a hard day at the office. Thanks to your staff and chefs for a great night and without doubt great value for money. Just a tip from my wife, she ordered 2 side dishes as her main and I would say well worth doing that as you get more than enough to perhaps share 3 sides between two people. Mark & Jo H (Leicester)

We visited on a Sturday night, I had previously eaten here at lunch times. The bar staff were attentive and friendly but our waitress was not effeicient at all. We were sta at the table for 10 minutes and had to call her over to order drinks, she returned with 2 glasses without the wine and then vanished for another 5 minutes and we had to distract her to bring the wine. The food here is excellent though.
