The staff are very friendly. We first sat in the sun coming from the window. When we wanted to change seats it was no problem. The food is good and you can choose savoury or sweet pancakes. I would recommend it.

I'm not a huge pancake fan, despite being dutch myself, so regarding food I'm possibly not the best person to ask. However, having eaten there a few times now I have never been blown away and nor has whoever I have been with, who are arguably greater pancake lovers than I. It's the service that is the real problem!!! They are generally rude and inefficient. We walked and were asked if we wanted a table for two - we did. We would have been seated immediately had I not said that we had a table for two booked. This resulted in a 5 minute wait. Go figure. The starters we ordered didn't show up until I mentioned them when our mains arrived... All in all, as a Dutchman, majorly disappointed with how we are being represented.

We went to My Old Dutch for lunch as a party of 8 with one infant. Note that despite coming up as 'family friendly' on open table there are no changing facilities in this restaurant. The service was the worst I have encountered for a long time. It was an hour and a half before our first meal arrived, and the first person had finished and had their plate cleared before the last persons meal arrived. We were told this was because some of the meals for our group had been delivered to a different table by mistake. We had to catch the eye of the waitress to order every drink, ask for dessert menus, order food. The whole rigmarole lasted for three hours and two nappy changes in the pram later we were all glad to leave.

We had great pancake and then asked for some water 3 times and eventually once it came the waitress smashes the glass all over our table and food!! The whole lot had to be cleared only half eaten glass went all over my 5 year old daughter. Although they checked she was ok and apologised. When we asked for the bill they tried to charge us for the whole lot. I said "are you joking?" The. They eventually took the food off!! Not impressed. Although my son loved the pancakes and daughter the waffle even if they did only eat half!!

Although the quality of the food was good, the service could have been better. We were a party of seven having a meal in our lunch hour and there were two noticeable gaps of 5 minutes between servings, meaning that three of us were practically finished as the last two started their meals. Shame as the waiting staff were very pleasant indeed.

I've been going here on and off for about 25 years now...when I first went, it was a novelty restaurant where you could wathc the chefs tossing the enormous pancakes. It was quaint with a soothing, intimate atmosphere. Now it's noisy and bustling; not bad, just different from previously. However, two on us jumped on us the moment we sat down asking were we ready to order. We asked for a minute, and got much more! In the end, I had to call one of the wondering waitresses over. When we did get our food, one meal took much longer to come...not acceptable at all! The food was good, and as always, a good price for London, however, the staff were unprofessional and sullen! What a shame My Old Dutch!

Its great to see this little restaurant still thriving. I used to go there all the way back in 1978 because it took luncheon vouchers and never minded counting the 100 or so 15p vouchers we handed over. Great little fun restaurant, huge pancakes, plenty of choice of toppings. Guarantee you wont want to eat for the rest of the day if you have one for mains and one for dessert.

This was my third visit to the restaurant and every time service just got worse. We ordered two of the same pancake, only one made it to the table and we ended up waiting for the second one until it was completely cold. Then we were offered a new pancake to replace the cold one but instead they just reheated the same pancake and it was soggy. I ordered butterscotch pancakes with maple syrup and butter, there was barely any syrup on it, and when I asked for more maple syrup I was told it's extra charge and received stroop syrup instead. We also had to wait over 20 minutes for a jug of tap water. And during our entire visit which was about two hours, no one approached us to check everything was good (and it was not...).

I kid you not when I say these pancakes are the BOMB. Butterscotch especially. I'm not exaggerating when I say every person in our 8 man booking loved My Old Dutch. The waitress was really nice, except for a minor time delay in the order. Amazingly decorated, nice setting, perfect seating designs. The place is just...PERFECT. Would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone.

I asked my boys whether they wanted chinese or pancakes for lunch. On describing how big the pancakes are, their eyes went wide. We've been to My Old Dutch several times and this is my first review. Consistent quality of food and service over the years and, knowing they are family friendly, I was happy to commit to this and booked a time slot. They get busy too. We weren't disappointed and the pancakes were just a bit too large for 13 and 15 year old boys. They loved it, so thanks My Old Dutch.

The previous times I have been to My Old Dutch have been great; good food, good service. This time, after we ordered our savoury crepes, we ordered proffertjes, one order to share between 4 of us, we were waiting over half an hour. When we asked what was taking so long, the waitress pointed to a big table next to us and said the kitchen was busy, as that table had a large order. After waiting a little longer, and realising that no one on the big table next to us had their food yet, we decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere. It was disappointing that the kitchen staff were unable to manage their time. I have usually had a good experience here.

MOD does not live up to its rave reviews, my friend and I found. We went in for a waffle with banana, choc sauce, nuts and cream & got more banana than anything else. It was more disappointing that I've tasted better waffles off a packet from Tescos. Additionally the service was abysmal. First and last time I go there.

Pretty keen to get you in and out as quickly as possible whilst making it quite evident, despite the restaurant being quite empty at the time. Was given a table right next to the cashier and 2 other parties were sat right on top of us despite there being plenty of room. Food was fine but service was poor, I was also unhappy that a service charge was added to the bill despite it only being a party of 2, something to catch the tourists out I guess...

My Old Dutch is somewhere to go for lunch/brunch, a quick pre-theatre meal or with a group of friends. It has quite a noisy and informal ambience, so not somewhere I'd recommend for romance. The choice of toppings is immense and the pancakes themselves are huge! They also do all their pancakes gluten free if required, not just a restricted menu which is a bonus!

I came here with some friends and family for a birthday meal. It did not disappoint and was a fun experience! The range of pancake toppings was extensive and our savoury pancakes came on massive plates. We were all pretty much full up after our 'mains' and all enjoyed them. But we also shared a dessert pancake which was very tasty as well. Service friendly and very prompt. Seating a little on the squashed / uncomfortable side, but didn't detract from the experience. Would definitely come again if, say, friends were visiting London as the novelty adds to the enjoyment.

Pancakes. Bacon. scrambled eggs. what more do I need to say! I chose the Chelsea branch, it was lovely day and it was the less busy location, we had a nice walk up Kings Road and enjoyed our meal very much, my friend ordered the savoury chilli pancake and I ordered pancakes, bacon/eggs and we split them so we can have the best of both, really nice and filling, she even went onto have dessert but I was too stuffed.

Booked well in advance and told them of the need for a high chair, when we arrived there was only one and someone else was using it. Table cloth was ripped, service just about reached adequate although the inability to follow a specific request caused some of the staff to lose the power of speech when it was pointed out to them. The food was very nice, except the kept running out of things, how can you have a Mother's Day promotion and then not have sufficient desserts? When we refused to pay the service charge it took two of them 10 minutes to change the bill. The problem is that there is no one senior in charge and the muppets run the show

We arrived 10 minutes early and our table was ready. The restaurant was quite full, but we were given prompt and friendly service throughout the meal. I'm glad they now have smaller options, but it would be nice to see it extended to desserts. We couldn't resist a dessert, but neither of us managed to finish. (Getting older plays havoc with your appetite!) Food delicious as always. Just wish we lived nearer so we could go more often.

Definitely can't complain about the portion sizes or the quality of the food. Good menu selection and went home stuffed. Not the cheapest meal out I've had when the bill came through, plus I always find it a shame when restaurants put on an optional service charge on the bill. It's always steep at 12% and whilst I realise it's optional it always leaves me feeling more forced to tip rather than tipping for good service. But that's just my opinion.

I was extremely disappointed with the service myself and daughter received from My Old Dutch. Firstly despite fact that I pre-booked they had no details of my booking made no attempt to check. We dumped on a table that had wobbly legs. We ordered starters of fritters it was not cooked properly when we complained just got a shrug of the shoulders. My daughter had sweet pancakes and I ordered savory. She finished her pancakes mine took almost 40 minutes to arrive despite me constantly chasing them. By the time it arrived I had lost my appetite and hardly eat it. I will definitely not be returning and will make sure I let everyone know of my bad experience. Not a happy bunny my daughter was equally disappointed.

This restaurant specialises in pancakes with toppings similar to what you might expect on a pizza. I went for the hot Dutch with pepperoni, chorizo and chili. Other more exotic toppings include tandouri chicken and Moroccan lamb. they also serve excellent Dutch starters like bitteballen. Poprtions are large and the beer (draft Heinekin and a selection of Dutch and Belgian ales) is good value compared to local pubs too. all in all a good value dining experience in the London'd west end.

I decided to book a table online for this restaurant at 7:30pm and even got email confirmation for my booking. When I turned up they said they had given my booking away as it was listed for 7pm. I got no apology and my party was shoved in the bassment which was almost empty. I very much enjoyed the dinner and our waiter was nice but it took more than 40 minutes for my order to be taken there was no atmosphere and the waiters came down infrequently. Most of all I should have got some sort of apology for their booking mistake!

Why would anybody ever eat anything besides breakfast food? My Old Dutch confirms this in my mind. They serve you the most delicious pancakes that are enormous - seriously, the plates are at least a foot across. But what really won my heart was the fact that these giant, delicious pancakes can be made GLUTEN FREE! Go savory if you like, but I will alway choose sweet and can personally recommend the berry compote, banana and nut, and cinnamon and apple. A must visit - more than once!

We were treating our 2 children to a birthday meal. Everything was going fine until the waitress brought over the tea and coffee. She accidentally tilted the tray and hot tea went al over my daughter's back and the jug of milk spilt over her coat , my fur coat and on my handbag. She kept apologising but did't offer for us to move as there was milk everywhere. The manager said he would take 20% off the bill but I have just had to pay for 2 coats to be dry cleaned, a bag ruined and a completely spoiled evening, not to forget hot tea down my daughter,s back. No body offered to ask if she was OK. I felt some decent compensation should have been made. But we didn't make too much of a fuss and the whole situation was embarrassing.

We waited for over 20 minutes before even being asked if we would like any drinks. Once food was ordered it arrived quite quickly but service overall left a lot to be desired. Food was good although one member of the party was left waiting for theirs to arrive after everyone else had received theirs.
