Diner Reviews
  • "Great Indian food and with some nice additions to their latest menu Namaaste is without doubt one of the best Indian restaurant in North London if not the capital itself A must on anyone's list of places to eat before you die !!!"

  • "Nice lunch - friendly service. With the TT lunch special, a great deal too."

  • "Great food and very friendly service. Highly recommended!"

  • "Definitely some of the best Indian/Thai fusion I've eaten - I'll definitely go back, and definitely recommend! Sit away from the window for the best dining experience - and get a starter!"
    dined on 30/03/2014
  • "The food was great, more indian fusion than traditional but that's the real plus of this restaurant. On the down side the service was not very good, our waiter seemed in the mood the whole time and didn't give a single smile."
    dined on 22/03/2014
  • "The service was outstanding, friendly, professional and inviting. The food exquisit, great offer of choices, tasty, a place where you can experience a cullinary delight. Highly recommendable if you are looking for an indian delight out of the common usual menu."
    dined on 19/03/2014
  • "It was wonderful to have so many delicious GF options and service was incredibly attentive. We had three courses and every single one was unique and perfectly balanced."
    dined on 14/03/2014
  • "Went there for dinner and staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was pretty quiet for a Thursday evening which we didn't mind. We booked via top table for the deal. The splendid menu didn't have many choices and food was ok at best. Service was prompt however the tables are very small and you can just about fit everything on the table. The layout was also slightly cramped. In summary I would say service was good, food was ok. Would I dine there again? I doubt it very much."
    dined on 27/02/2014
  • "Some unusual dishes, beautifully spiced with little oil. Delicious"
    dined on 12/02/2014
  • "Went on Valentines day. The food was delicious but our evening was spoilt because we had to sit by the hot grill and fumes and the constantly opening and shutting kitchen door. NOT romantic - not even pleasant. (We asked to move but were told the other tables were reserved. I booked a week before and discussed the reservation in person so I think table availability could have been mentioned)"
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "Very enjoyable, quality, tasty, different "curry". None of your nouveau Tamarind or Benares stuff. Just excellent, light, flavoursome "cut above the norm" curry. Wife, a relatively recent convert, absolutely loves the food, and asked to go there for Valentine's Day! Best bit? Cobra on draught."
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "Have enjoyed "curries" all over the country - Manchester, Preston, Inverness, London - Namaaste Kitchen is up there with the best of them. Not in the Michelin category but well above your average High Street curry house. Interesting dishes, very well cooked and presented. Light and very flavoursome. Will be going back soon!"

  • "Booked a last minute table here for late Birthday dinner as original plans had changed. Staff were extremely welcoming and pleasant. It was quite empty on arrival which can sometimes be a bad sign but this quickly changed within 30mins of taking seat as more booking arrived. The menu was interesting and there was something available to suit 5 very different and demanding palates with lovely portion sizes. They even put together a nice surprise at the end of meal as I had mentioned it was my birthday. I would definitely return here and recommend to friends."

  • "Myself & 4 friends visited Namaaste on a busy Friday night before a film. Booked for 7.30pm and I arrived 5 mins early where I was given the menus. I asked for some tap water to start. None came. Two friends then arrived, we ordered drinks I asked for tap water again. Poppadoms were offered but never came. The fourth person arrived, ordered their drink and food, I asked for the water again and the poppadoms were offered but still didn't come. Our 5th guest was very late arriving after 8.30pm, the restaurant wanted the spare table for two which we had offered but they didn't use. The food was very good, we had samosas, behlpoori and onion bhajis to start. I had a green curry which was delicious. Good, but they need to sort out their service."

  • "The restaurant is well laid out , with good lighting set at just the right level and very comfortable seating. The staff are friendly , but not over friendly and very professional. The food was very good, but not exceptional. I had the Dorset crab which was presented whole in a lovely sauce. My partner had the Gurda Keema Taka Tak, a Pakistan roadside dish. They said it was very nice and deceptively filling !. Very good attention to detail, providing finger bowls and hot towels(instead of all those ghastly wipes). It is a bit on the pricey side, so it's not one i would recommend regularly, but more for special occasions even with the "Splendid" menu discount. But a fine experience nonetheless , and worth checking out."

  • "A pal and I were keen to try an Indian restaurant with a bit of a twist and Namaaste proved to be a solid choice. Some very tasty dishes. We mainly had grilled meats and a few sides, but all were pretty good. Spinach and paneer was a highlight. Recommended."
    dined on 10/01/2014
  • "Great value set menu. Presented beautifully. Great veggie options."
    dined on 31/12/2013
  • "Great TT offer at Kitchen Namaaste which is a cut above the average Indian"
    dined on 12/12/2013
  • "This was the second time this year that we have been to Naamaste and again were very happy with the quality of the food and service. The drinks are reasonably priced and I am sure that we will be back to eat here when next in the area."
    dined on 06/12/2013
  • "Went early evening prior to a show. Had the Kadhai Seared Scallops & Wild Rabbit Achari. Enjoyed both Immensely. Staff attentive and knew their stuff. Recommended."
    dined on 02/12/2013
  • "The interior is quite stylish but not as good as it looks in the photos. When you get up close, the quality of the fixtures and fittings is poor, especially in the toilets. The food is ok and nicely presented, but no great step up from a typical Indian. Not as good as Babur in Crofton Park."
    dined on 10/08/2013
  • "oncev you have tasted the food at either of the namaaste restaurants, standard Indian restaurants suddenly become dull in comparison. exemplary service combines with exemplary food."
    dined on 19/11/2013
  • "Went to Namaaste for my birthday dinner with a group of friends and loved it! Great food and great Service!!! I recommend it for anyone who likes a good Indian cuisine."
    dined on 17/11/2013
  • "The food was generally good for late lunch booking for three. We had the restaurant to ourselves so hard to judge the service fairly. The staff were friendly and accommodating."
    dined on 11/11/2013
  • "We went for an informal business dinner, and were the only diners in there at first. Considering this fact, the staff were unattentive, did not inform us of the "conditions" of the discount offer until we had chosen our food and were trying to order, only to be told that if we wanted the discount, we had to order differently. Between the courses the service was very slow (and considering we were the only diners, this was somewhat frustrating). The only saving grace was that the food was very good and presentation was an unexpected delight."
    dined on 13/11/2013
  • "Wow as ever a fab meal, food just delicious. We are regulars here and are always remembered and never been disappointed."
    dined on 08/11/2013
  • "This is some of the best restaurant food i've ever tasted - nothing is too much for the staff here, and you will leave feeling stuffed to the brim, yet still wanting more. The decor is warm, chic and inviting, and the staff couldn't do more for you. Friendly, attentive - real service with a smile........and the food - what can I say, other than it surpasses expectations! Not cheap, but not too pricey either - well worth every penny!!!!!"
    dined on 04/11/2013
  • "Had a most delicious meal in Namaaste, The service is very attentive and discreet, Tawa Lamb Chops & Goan Sea Bass was fab! Very tasty and nicely presented like a Muchelin star restaurant. Our starter Tandoori Aatishe Jingha was huge prawns, nicely marinated and fresh, I would highly recommend to any one, worth the journey."
    dined on 02/11/2013
  • "Menus dirty. Food mediocre. Without discount expensive."
    dined on 26/10/2013
  • "We enjoyed the visit, our selection was from the 'splendid' menu whose title is perhaps overstated, favourites with a little twist, enjoyable starters (chilli paneer, tandoori mushrooms, chowpatty), mains (spicy lamb, fish and aubergine in yogurt) a little less so, and light desserts from a separate list, Lovely attentive service in a pleasant environment."
    dined on 20/10/2013
  • "Very overrated and expensive. I would not recommend this to anybody. Portions were small. Chicken was overcooked. Korma was too thick."
    dined on 19/10/2013
  • "We went to Namaaste after a theatre matinee and got there about an hour before our due time. No problem and we were seated and served efficiently. Service was good, not super fast but plenty quick enough and the dishes were very nicely presented and tasted lovely. Value was pretty much what we expected in London - we're from out of town - and £120 for 4 with starters, mains and some drinks was OK. Would definitely return."
    dined on 19/10/2013
  • "The food is extremely over priced. The set menu is really not worth value for money. Very limited vegitarian options. Very small tables and extremly close to other guests."
    dined on 18/10/2013
  • "Better food than last time. The 50% deal only seems to apply to starter and main - once we had added bread & dessert it felt more like a normal-priced meal. No real complaint thought - good service and a pleasant all-round experience."
    dined on 14/10/2013
  • "We was waiting for the dinner and the meal had small vegetables."
    dined on 05/10/2013
  • "We came here for our last night in Camden before moving because we knew we would not be disappointed from previous meals we have enjoyed. The food is impeccable, beautifully presented and the balance of different flavours is always spot on. This is an Indian Fine Dining experience!"
    dined on 29/09/2013
  • "Great food from starters to deserts , friendly staff will guide you through the menu , best to try some of the more unusual dishes especially those on the seasonal menu , worth the visit for locals or those who need to travel as its worth it"
    dined on 09/09/2013
  • "The quality of the food is evident at Namaste Kitchen from the outset. The menu is varied without being overwhelming and features a good balance of reassuring favourites and interesting, unusual dishes. Each dish I tried, from fresh-tasting pickles to flavoursome sauces and soft naan, was a delight. Highly recommended."
    dined on 28/09/2013
  • "The food is different from standard Indian food, involving modern twists. I've been twice and enjoyed my food both times however the second meal didn't quite live up to expectations. Using the toptable offer it represented good value. I would go again but would probably look to try new places first."
    dined on 07/09/2012
  • "food is beautifully served - not your usual curry house. We chose the Splendid menu - lots of choice, good options for veggies if you eat fish. All very well presented, sea bass is tender and flavoursome. Service is attentive and swift. Very good value and I have been twice in one week."
