Complete disaster. This restaurant accepted our booking but was closed on the night. No warning, and no response from Tamarind Collection to our enquiry as to how such a mistake could be made. I will be vetoing all Tamarind Group restaurants (Tamarind Mayfair, Imli Street, Zaika) from now on. Shocking service.

I'm glad you asked. I made reservations through you, and assured my friend that the restaurant couldn't possibly be closed. And yet, we showed up and there's a sign for the NEXT restaurant to open--Zaika? we walked and found a table down the street, but not before I lost my confidence in Open Table.

Dont be fooled by the beautiful pictures of the website. The food was totally substandard and the presentation - well there was none! I was embarrassed that I had chosen this restaurant to take my boss to and had made my selection due to the location and connection to the Tamarind in Mayfair not thinking for one minute that it would be as appauling as it was. I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant...

Lovely venue on High Street Ken but wholly inadequate staffing levels on the night we visited. Very busy & and a result next to no service provided. For example, the a la carte starter of venison was cold. Had to pour own bottle of wine, no cutlery for main courses and it took forever to get anyone's attention. Staff looked thoroughly fed up and stressed at being so busy! Not a relaxing or enjoyable experience for a high-end W8 location, never again.

Very early days and so very empty. Comfortable and good service did not make up for the somewhat strange dishes. Over complicated and not particularly appetising. However if the steak frites are good then it will be somewhere good to go. They would be well advised to study the menue of good Parisian bistros. The classic dishes work and people enjoy them. It's a very good commercial idea to go with what people like and are familiar with. The decor is excellent... Apart from the enormous brass sign that dominates a wall saying "Toilets" .....

I was pleasantly surprised at my visit to One Kensington. The food was outstanding! The service was a tiny bit chaotic but the waiters were very polite and all the meals arrived warm and at the same time! I had beef cheeks which was delicious and my foodie daughter had the scallops which she said were superb. The very high ceilings and wood panelled walls as well as gothic windows make the space itself very special.

..is ONE KENSINGTON. The ambiance and decor is doing more than just enhancing the fantastic menu, it makes the experience to dine there a great one. The room itself has lost nothing of its splendor of days past and the careful restaurant ion and accentuation of its elements have contributed a further gem to London's foodie-scene. One that has the marks of becoming a classic...

Really enjoyed our meal and the wine was delicious. Good value on the top table deal - and pretty reasonable prices anyway. They also did gluten free bread which I was very impressed by! The restaurant looks like it used to be an old library or University dining room so has some great features and very high ceilings. The lighting was a bit too bright for us and could do with being turned down a bit. The only slight let down was that our waiter seemed to be a bit distracted.

The 3 course set menu deal was great, and delicious!! I felt super full afterwards, luckily the station is close so I could roll there. Park is just across the road, so we had a lovely wander and then dinner! The wine made the bill larger than i would have liked, but that's usually the case anyway. Would definitely recommend it.

We booked because of the great value for money offer & the venue in such a prestigious area. This was a double birthday celebration meal and we were not disappointed. The staff were polite, efficient and professional. We were offered Sunday Roast as part of the OpenTable deal which was a welcome bonus. The restaurant was almost empty, such a shame. The music was just right level & style. The food was fantastic we had the chicken to start, very crispy & tasty. Sunday Roast Beef served beautifully pink, though the carrots almost broke teeth. Pana Cota for desert and a delicious glass of Prosecco. The restaurant provided a lovely Happy Birthday emblazoned desert, a lovely treat thank you.

We didn't have a horrible time, but it wasn't great - the staff were pleasant but the service was a bit weird - food came out at a lightning pace, so much so that our bread was brought to us midway through the starter. Our starters and mains were very big and busy with too many fiddly clashing flavours that didn't really make any sense. We left after two courses.

Arrived early and we were greeted in a very friendly professional manner. We decided to try a cocktail. The barman was very knowledgeable and attentive - thoroughly recommended. Food was deliciousness plentiful. Staff professional and friendly. It's not cheap at all but for a treat or special occasion you should give it a go. We had a slight hiccup with our food but it was rectified in a most satisfactory manner. We wouldn't hesitate to go back again. It is such a shame it was not busier for a Saturday evening. It deserves to be full.

We went to One K for dinner with my boyfriend following an email from OpenTable about a £29 3-course meal deal + a glass of prosecco. The staff were attentive but always too much. We had 4 people serving us a at one point or the other. Food was quite average but we were unpleasantly surprised by the price of the second glass of prosecco which we ordered without looking in the menu (after all, the price of the glass as part of the meal was only £4). It came out to be £10.5 per glass which I can honestly swear I have never tasted such expensive prosecco in my entire life. It might be a good place for business lunches when you want quick and professional service but I wouldn't recommend it for pure enjoyment.

Booked a table for two on Saturday via Opentable for set lunch, which included a drink as well at GBP20. The menu seemed to be very "basic". But actually each individual dish was cooked and presented in a totally "unexpected" and food quality was excellent! My wife and I dined here in April 2014, shortly after it opened. We thought the decor was attractively done, hip yet comfortable, and the service was friendly with an appropriate level of attention. The menu was very appealing with an interesting selection where everyone can find something to their liking. The food was prepared well, everything was tasty and there were some delicious creative touches.

Very innovative and authentic menu. I mostly enjoyed the relaxed and classy ambience and the sevice was really good. The restaurant has an industrial but at the same time classic character without adding too much of everything. The staff was friendly and helpful but, at the same time, being discreet and being around when needed and just for regular discreet check-ins. The food was amazing. I would highly recomment the Entrecote (the price is really good for what's offered) and the loin of venison as a starter. Also, the pea soup with lobster was yummy. I have also tried the veal schnitzel which has just the right amount of saltiness and that was a healthy surprise. I am visiting again this and next week.

Zaika was absolutely fantastic. It was the best Indian food I had ever eaten, and was in our top 10 of culinary experiences of all time - really impressive for a restaurant without a huge amount of fanfare. The dishes were so well balanced and delectable, we were stunned. The soup served before the meal was epic. The salmon was the best cooked salmon we had ever eaten. Serving portions are small, so it was good that we ordered a lot. Each one leaves one wanting more. Definitely will go back.

Entree and starter were excellent however the two main courses were extremely poor. The vegetarian platter was uninspiring and not at all at the same standard as the prior dishes. The Lamb Rogan josh / shank looked and tasted like a school dinner - the presentation was exceptionally poor and the taste not enjoyed or to a standard that I'd consider acceptable.
