The waiter detailed to serve had to be asked 3 times by the manager. A waiter had to be called at every stage of the meal as nobody noticed when we had finished. This was probably because they were more interested u their own discussions and banter including kissing on the neck (they forgot there are mirrors. Considering we were early (17:00h) it is surprising that service was so slow. We just finished two courses and tea by (18:40) The food was mediocre and the butternut squash an carrot soup dreadful and watery. Cloth smears on the table are unattractive. The coffee machine is far too loud.

The look of the inside this restaurant is incredibly romantic. The waiters are very attentive. We made it clear that we were in a bit of a rush as we had tickets to the theatre at 7.45. we got to the restaurant at 6 and hadn't been served dessert by 7.35. It took 20 minutes for our dessert of 2 scoops of icecream to be served to us . Timeout cards are no longer accepted at this restaurant.

We had booked this restaurant before we left the US for London. Since we had a large party of 8, our hotel assisted us in confirming the reservation. The restaurant is in an ideal spot for pre or post theater dining. We were seeing a show at the Adlwych Theater, and it was an easy 5 minute walk from the restaurant. The food was quite good. I had the risotto. Everyone's meal was prepared well and the entire party enjoyed their food. Despite the fact that the restaurant was quite crowded, our waiters did a great job at being attentive. I would highly recommend this place, and would go back again when I return to London. Definitely make a reservation in advance, especially if you are dining pre-theater.

Visited this restaurant on the recommendations of my niece who told me the food was excellent and boy was she right. My friend and I came for the day in London from Bedfordshire and attended this venue for lunch. They offered a la carte and a 2 or 3 special priced menu. Our starters and main meals were absolutely delicious; the service was excellent and the waiter/waitress was very attentive at all times. The atmosphere was buzzing - there was a very mixed clientele in there at lunch time from day trippers like us to business personnel and people just popping in for their lunch break. Overall we would both recommend this restaurant to friends and family in the future and will certainly return again.

What was good: the restaurant is attractive and the seating arrangement feels atmospheric. The food arrived promptly and the food quality was ok (as expected). Neutral: the waiter was very pleasant, but he was a bit clumsy and kept bumping into us. Not so good: even with the special the restaurant isn't good value

It's been a while since I had visited Palm court brasserie. Four of us went for a family dinner and had the 50% off offer. We had 2 prawn cocktails, duck rillette and a tiger prawn. And for the mains we had mussel, lobster thermidor and 2 rump of lamb. The starters were okay. But the lobster was over priced for me and with the rump of lamb very dry and the sauce very lumpy. It was not as good as before.

We ate at Palm court brasserie before a trip to the theatre so arrived at 5pm. The food was very nice and the waiters were very attentive and helpful. We had the pre-theatre menu choosing beef bourgignon and the salmon, both of which were well cooked and presented and fit desert creme brulle and the chocolate tart, by which time we were both full. I would definitely return.

My wife and I ate here for our second wedding anniversary. When I booked it, I made a comment that it was our wedding anniversary. Normally these comments aren't taken notice of but our waiter came over and wished us a happy anniversary which was a lovely touch. The food was beautiful and well cooked. Fillet steak and rump of lamb, I would recommend. If we're back in Covent Garden again we'll definitely be booking again

We chose this as it rated at 400 out of 17,000 on another famous review site. Having experienced Palm Court Brasserie 'HOW?' was the only question we had. If you like your food overcooked and literally swimming in half a centimetre of oil I suppose you might like it. I don't think we were alone. The tables next to us seemed to have different dishes but the same oil levels. Having been to France on many occasions there is absolutely no need. Its just poor French cooking, plain and simple. Wine was very poor quality too. I suppose the warning signs were there. Right next to Covent Garden, fish and chips on a French menu - but the reviews made us give it a go. But only the once...

We were given an option to where we could sit , the kir royale went down very well, the food was delicious I had the roasted vegetable couscous and salmon starter, we were all too full to contemplate a desert ! For £ 17 50 an amazing offer can't wait to return!

We have eaten at this restaurant twice when visiting London to visit the theatre, once with friends and once as a couple. On both occasions we had a lovely meal in clean, lively and atmospheric surroundings. There are of course many restaurants that offer good food and a pleasant atmosphere but it is the service here that has brought us back. It is outstanding because it is personable and at the same time professional. You feel as if you are a valued and welcomed customer and it is much appreciated.

A delicious 2 course lunch. We selected the pre theatre options but the main menu also sounded lovely. Our 7 year old was able to choose her main meal from a kid's menu but her dessert was from the main menu. Excellent service and a great atmosphere. We'd researched where to eat before a trip to the theatre as unfamiliar with the area and were not disappointed. Please note that 12.5% is added to the bill. This is clearly stated but makes a significant difference to the overall price.

Given its location right in the piazza of covent garden I wasn't sure what to expect as many restaurants here are overpriced and lacking in quality because tourists keep them busy regardless. This place was a welcome surprise, good food fairly priced and attentive service. I enjoyed every course and would definitely go back. There is a charming atmosphere that is relaxed and informal I would go here on a date or with friends. I had the open table discount menu which was good value.

I chose the restaurant on the basis of the menu initially but the offer of 50% discount on food as I had booked through Top Table made it really outstanding value. Four of us ate prior to going to the theatre- food choices were great, including specials. Service was brilliant, our waiter had a real sense of humour which made the meal very enjoyable. I can definitely recommend the Palm Court Brasserie if you are in Coventry Garden or going to a nearby theatre

Considering how near this is to the middle of Covent Garden, the food has always been great and good value. We felt on this visit however prices had gone up and quality has dropped. The service was good, there was nothing wrong with the food it just wasn't wow and the portions were not very big. We had king prawns in garlic and rump of lamb. Desserts at nearly £6 were poor value.

We selected our meals from the main menu and I had Sea Bass and my wife had Tiger Prawns. Both meals were excellent. We had 3 courses plus a bottle of very nice wine and the overall bill (with service charge) was £95, which was reasonable. Overall a very good experience and we will visit again.
