A word from Paramount
Paramount restaurant is perched on top of London’s iconic Centre Point tower - the grade II listed high rise building at the junction of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street.

Before we start on the food, let's state the obvious – yes, the view is fabulous. Diners can admire a 360 degree view out across London and, in the champagne bar on the very top floor, enjoy the viewing gallery with floor to ceiling windows.

The restaurant specialises in sophisticated modern European cuisine and, although the members-only restriction was lifted in 2010, still has a dress code and a high society feel.

The food is a mix of classic British flavours and more adventurous twists; foie gras and duck terrine with apple and fig pastilla rubs shoulders with rib eye steak served with goose fat chips.

Opinion is divided over whether the better view is to be had during the day or the evening - perhaps the best bet is to dine at sunset for the best of both.

The tragedy is that this site will become private residential, so you have to go up before it closes. It is a completely mesmerising view, the best in London, that's why it's called Centrepoint. Go up one flight to walk round the viewing gallery. No one is there. It is amazing. Food is brilliant for the price.

This was one of my favourite restaurants as views are amazing food is good however, service is slipping and the place is starting to look tatty. Really was not impressed to have a screaming baby running around the place after 21:00 hrs. Management should put a restriction on allowing children in after 21:00 and please clean the place up a bit. Thought about getting a bit of Braso on the copper?

I took my parents here for a birthday treat, and we had a fantastic time. The views are incredible, and we were seated by the window. The service was fantastic, the staff were very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, and whilst slightly pricey it's great value and a great location for a special occasion. I'd highly recommend Paramount to my friends!

An excellent restaurant if you are looking to wow your dining partners. The views of London are incredible and the food is very well cooked and very tasty. The bill can easily add up but given the location I found it fairly well priced. The one slight criticism I have would be the small portion sizes but only because the food was so delicious! I will definitely be returning.

I have confirmed twice if my table is been booked but when I went to the bar there wasn't any booked table for me, and I had to find a table for myself. Which was pointless to book a table! Also it was a bit disappointing but anyway I stayed. Next time I would ask them if there is table book by my name! Service is fantastic! Thanks

I was surprised that there weren't more people at the pre-theatre lunch sitting on Saturday. The food was delicious. I had a seafood starter and lamb for the main. The duck fat chips very tasty indeed. Unfortunately it was a rather cloudy and wet Saturday but the view of London is still spectacular. We returned after the theatre for cocktails in the Viewing Gallery and didn't stop at just one. Great visit with friends.

Given it is a upmarket restaurant in a not so upmarket part of town I think they are missing a trick in not recognising that its location is too far away from most theatres and the people on tottenham court road are shoppers and young people - not swank London bankers. The restaurant was a almost empty with staff making up 50% of the number of people in the eating area, The food was okay but we left feeling hungry and the service charge was still mandatory as they don't give you a choice. The views were great but not enough to entice us back.

It was my friend's 30th birthday, we had a good time, lovely food and great view, great service! My friend said her cocktail has too much lime and the person who served us immediately went and get her a new one! She was impressed! :) Shame about the big table next to us making so much noise, they were even screaming and laughing really loud and the whole restaurant turned their head and looked at them. They still have no shame and still carry on making so much noise which ruined the evening a little bit. May be next time big party should be in a private room is there is one so it doesn't distract the other people trying to have a good time! but overall, very good experience! will definitely come again!

I was blown away with view from 32nd floor, and fun of recognising London from a different perspective . That experience is a wonder, also the staff are lovely providing an efficient service. Atmosphere is pleasant and unaffected. Booking was easy and efficient. Food is good, but didn't leave with the sense that the food is what will bring me back. Maybe unfair to say, as view is a hard act to follow. i definitely recommend it.

I booked a table at Paramount for my sons 21st birthday celebration. I requested a table by the window in order to take advantage of the amazing views and this was acknowledged. We came for a meal with friends. Slightly disappointed we couldn't get a window table. We ordered pre-dinner drinks and received 3 of them. The 4th drink arrived about 15 mins later. Service was a bit slow and they seemed to have completely forgotten about us at one point. Food was ok, but atmosphere and views were excellent.

This was my second trip to paramount and if anything I was even more impressed this time. The service was outstanding, as was the food. The views are stunning even on a rainy and overcast day as it was on Saturday. It isn't cheap but considering how good the food is and how special the location is I think it's reasonable. As close to a new York style roof top bar/restaurant as I've found in London so far. If you're going there don't forget to go upstairs to the viewing platform/ ring for a cocktail!

Ok, so you have to battle through what is probably the worst entrance to any hotel in London. It's a building site with dirty, cracked stairs and pretty much hand written signs pointing to the dark and unwelcoming entrance to the building. Once you get up things improve significantly - the view at night is simply spectacular and as a backdrop to dinner it's hard to beat. I'd been warned the decor was a bit 70s but i didn't find it so. The menu was reasonably adventurous; scallops and pork belly starter was competent although flavours a little muted. had the tri of steak which included some bone marrow. Again, good but but outstanding and lacked any zing. For a business meal it was great; for a foodie night out there are better.

I had asked for a table with no other diners to the left of us as one of us is disabled (hearing issue) but this did not happen unfortunately. The food was fantastic but slightly disappointing to only have 2 scallops for the starter. Despite this we would love to dine there again

It has so much going for it but just failed to deliver! The biggest let down is that the place needs a facelift. Tables and chairs look like they are from the 70's and they even have stains on the fabric to prove it! Sofas had rips and tears in the cloth. Kind of like gong to Mayfair and land up in an east end cafe. We booked with the set lunch menu- meant to be £23 for 2 courses but they don't give you that menu and you have to specifically ask for it. instead a la carte menu which is more like £60 per head. Imagine eating Michelin star food in a greasy cafe- it just loses it and does the food no credit. Overall a poor experience and I will not return as there is much better for the money such as AquaShard.
