  • "Four of us had a late lunch mid week. Excellent choices on the menu and affordable wine list. Service very good and staff friendly and helpful. We had 3 course each and everyone really enjoyed the food. Beautifully cooked and presented. Could not find a fault, not even a tiny one. We will definitely be back."

  • "Outstanding starter of tuna carpaccio and dessert of gnocchi. Main of tuna was very good, but tad gristle in part (not much, though, but enough to be noticeable). Zucchini side very good. Toptable discount made for appropriate level of money for food, although would have been just a bit expensive without the discount.mserive was very good until they became busy (just after we finished main), and thus took a long time to get dessert menu, for them to come back to us and take our order, and then once we finished dessert to pay--a total of about an hour from finishing main to paying. They initially forgot the toptable discount but quickly fixed this. Overall excellent seafood place."

We shared a starter of asparagus which was excellent and both our mains (Spaghetti alle Vongole and Tagliatelle al Granchio) were very good - tho the portions were enormous! We then shared a dessert of strawberries with basil which was really tasty. All in all, very good - and the staff were very friendly."

  • "It's a shame. I've given Pescatori one more chance and very disappointed by the food they are offering. The quality of the fish and other seafood are just not fresh and tasteless. They use their sauce to cover the blendness of their prawn, monkfish, squid and seabass (which we ordered). The only one that's got taste is the cockles. I guess they can get away with it if they are serving a non-regular seafood eater but for our table it was really disappointing. Oh, even the bread was stale, probably leftover from the night before. It's a shame because it's in a good location and the staff were polite and you can see they make an effort but the food just not good."

  • "a delightful Mayfair restaurant, lovely room very pleasant service and good food. I had oysters, which were fresh,delicious and presented as one would expect.My companion had dressed crab, again v good. We both went for the special of Turbot, which was again v.good served with caramelised shallots (these could have been a bit more caramelised) and new potatoes. then shared a desert which was good. the wine we had was not initially cool enough, however the bucket dealt with this and possibly a few pounds overpriced. the 30% off food opentable deal made a welcome reduction to a price I would say was correct for this restaurant. I will return"

  • "Myself, my sister and her eleven year old son dined at Pescatori on Dover Street on a Saturday evening in early June, taking advantage of the 30% off food offer from OT. Pescatori's seafood choices and style of presentation are on a par with most top seafood restaurants in London but are significantly less expensive, especially so with the OT deal. We variously had lobster, cod and crab dishes, and freshness of all ingredients, including accompaniments, ensured complete enjoyment. The welcome we received was warm, and our request for a particular table was complied with. Service during the meal was attentive without being overbearing. Wine choice is extensive and well priced. I've dined here over many years and have yet to be disappointed."

  • "Food is nothing close to the Italian one they claim to bring to the table, being Italian I know what the dishes should have tasted like and I was very disappointed. The seafood wasn't tasty. I had the fritto misto as a starter, lacked flavour and salt, then followed my clams linguine that tasted nothing like the Italian recipe and shellfish was tasteless. The service was average, the ambience was ok, I would not recommend this to a friend. "

  • "It is only the second time I have been here and both food and service has been outstanding. The staff give such a warm welcome and nothingis too much trouble. I am claustrophobic and they found me appropriate seating. The lobster is the best iv had in London. The cheese board is amazing. This little find has become my favourite place to go."

  • "On arrival, lovely foody aromas and comfortable looking seating. But in reality the table is too small, as it is already fairly crowded on arrival, then tapenade, Sicilain olives, bread and drinks are served and the long single sheet menus are fairly difficult to handle. The inevitable happened, a Bellini is knocked over. That was quickly and efficiently handled; but in silence.. However a nice touch; we had only a carafe of wine but it was kept in and served from an ice bucket ++. The menu reads very well, great ingredients and exciting combinations. But every dish was bland, bland, bland. Is that why the fairly hefty salt and pepper pots were on the table ? Sorry but i do not go out to dine and season the food myself. Big disappointment."

  • "We ate here early evening after a late matinee at theatre, and were very impressed. Even before 7pm there were a good number of diners, and the atmosphere was lively. Good wine list, including the excellent Salice Salentino, and extensive seafood menu, though with alternatives for the non-pescatorian. Olive tapenade and bread was a good preamble, though the separate bowl of olives on ice was not good value for money. Starters of grilled squid with chorizo; and crab and avocado bruschetta were both tasty and well presented. Mains of swordfish pasta, and of hake stuffed with black pudding in a wine and cream sauce were imaginative and well prepared. We didn't manage dessert, and with 30% offer, the whole bill was under £100, reasonable VFM."

  • "This restaurant never fails to deliver fantastic food and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are attentive but don't rush you and the menu is extensive. As a party of five we had a variety of main courses (the tuna was particularly good ), and deserts followed by coffee / tea. Thoroughly enjoyable meal and definitely somewhere I'll be returning too in the very near future. "

Comments; could refine the rather garish appearance of the menus, increase the range of grappa, and ensure the staff are attentive throughout the entirety of the evening (which seemed to wane towards the end), however these points are trivial and hardly spoiled the occasion."

  • "We have been to the restaurant several times now and were never disappointed, however, this time the sharing platter Ortolana we ordered was really good and special again. We continued with the baked sea bream and the Tuna nicoise type dish, followed by desert. Everything was lovely, well presented and tasted really good. The restaurant was booked but we sat in the front area this time and there was enough time given in-between the dishes. We are already looking forward for our next visit/dining experience. Thanks"

  • "I read about this reztaurant on line and booked a table 2 days later. We asked for a table in the window and were told yes but we would have to vacate within 2 hours. The staff then told us we could keep it for the evening. The starter platter to share for starters was amazing. The lobster main with cheese sauce was to die for. Iv had better cheese boards and the main made up for it. Service was very good. Over all a lovely evening and I will be returning with more friends in the future."

  • "We tried the special Wednesday menu and had steak with half a lobster on top! The steak was a bit too medium, We said medium/rare but the lobster was delicious within a lovely light sauce. We also had the panecotta with raspberries and in a grappa sauce. This was excellent. This was our second visit within the month and we will gladly return again."

  • "Knowing we would be in the area that evening, we looked on toptable and found this. It was a delight. We have been to the one in Charlotte Street before but never here. We like this one much more. The service was a bit raggedy, but the food more than made up it. Offering tomatoes on the vine as a pre-dinner nibble was inspired! As pescatarians it was nice to see meat options relegated to second place for once - it's surprising how many 'fish' restaurants still play as much to the carnivores. Everything we ate was beautifully cooked and presented, and they served the best octopus carpaccio I have ever had by a country mile. We will definitely be back."

  • "There were four of us in our party. We were not impressed. The restaurant itself is pleasant but the food was disappointing. Two of our starters (grilled squid and roast razor shell clams) were warm rather than hot, while my soup was absolutely scalding. Two of us ordered the tuna main course. We were asked how we wanted this cooked so were extremely surprised when it came cold as part of a salad. This included a soft boiled egg - also stone cold! I have rechecked the menu and there is no indication whatsoever that this option is served cold. Neither of us would have ordered it had we known that this would be the case. The service throughout the meal was reasonable but we had to ask several times for the bill. We will not be going back."

  • "We had a great meal at Pescatori restaurant. The food was modern and good - lots of dishes without any chills or peppers which I can't eat. The steaks we had were cooked to perfection, the chips good and not greasy at all, the prawns (which we asked to be separate from the steak) were delicious and the deserts divine !. I strongly recommend it."
