Diner Reviews
  • "The food was fantastic, the service very attentive and friendly. Even though my children (aged 10 & 12) ate from the main menu, I was really impressed that a children's menu was also offered."

  • "Went to Quaglinos to celebrate my 40th birthday with 23 friends and family. The staff and service was fantastic; attentive but not over bearing, friendly and accommodating of any request made, even helping an elderly relative up and down the stairs. I found the food overall was ok, some others 'really enjoyed' their meals. Value for money - definitely. The ambience and live singer was spot on. I'm glad I chose Quaglinos, we all had a lovely evening. "

  • "We went for the "love lunch" menu and the soup was good but my main course was very bland food. On my dish the rIce was undercooked and lacked seasoning. On the other, the mash and vegetables were cold. Ambiance was lacking as the restaurant was pretty empty. We were seated near a till when there was plenty of space elsewhere in the restaurant. "

  • "Although the pre-theatre menu ofres more choice than in some restaurants of similar quality and does represent excellent value the experience was clouded by some odd flavour combinations. The pear and chicory salad was dominated by the bitter chicory and a sweet potato mash was too much for an otherwise lovely piece of bream."

  • "The service was really very good. I took my 8 year old and they were very accommodating. We shared a starter of chicken wrapped in bacon and it was simply delicious. The mains were a bit disapointing, my fish was overcooked and the lamb did not seem freshly cooked. The brownie pudding was very good, especially the peanut creamy foamy stuff. The restaurant and environment was beautiful."

  • "Ate from the £20.00 special offer 2 course menu with a glass of champagne. The quality of food/service and ambience was amazing - will definitely return."

  • "Have dined at Quaglino's previously and haven't had a problem myself although a member of our party did have a food complaint at the time. This time however found the food to be quite poor. My veal was lovely but served on cold mashed potato. No biggie really, however, my girlfriend ordered a steak (medium). It came up very very rare, nearer blue than medium. She isn't one to fuss so could deal with the taste etc. but found as she cut into it that it was full of sinew, fat and gristle. I told our waiter who promptly sent over a manager who removed it from the bill along with our side dishes. Quick resolution and nice gesture, just a shame the food was found wanting."

  • "I went to Quaglino's for the TT pre-theatre offer. Even though the menu choice was quite limited my friends and I all enjoyed our dinner. I had the sea bream which was particularly tasty! The restuarant was busy, despite it being early, and there is a great atmosphere. Its good value for pre-theatre, although wine and cocktails are pricey if you order extras."

  • "Visited on a Saturday night. Had the champagne menu and the food was great, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend."

  • "It was an amazing night, came out for a friend's birthday dinner. The service from the door and all through the night was amazing. The food presentation was brilliant, to start I had the chicken and bacon saltimboca and would recommend it as the best starter. Overall a great night."
    dined on 10/04/2014
  • "Very good food and service. It is quite a big place, with lots if large tables that seemed to be occupied by noisy groups. Everything other than that was great."

  • "A very enjoyable experience. Food was excellent but the service was a little slow at times."

  • "A lovely welcome that makes you feel special. wonderful upmarket ambience, I would have expected to pay top prices here but a Pre Theatre dinner for two courses and wine cost me £25. I had lamb and it was divine as was my blueberry cobbler with pecan ice cream. super quick service ate at 6 out by 7. the only criticism was the main meal could have been a bit hotter but will be going back very soon."

  • "Excellent value for a very good lunch. Perfect for the pre theatre meal. Good choice of wines, service very good. Have been there many times and shall continue to do so."

  • "Amazing! I was recommended this restaurant by a friend, and it didn't fail to deliver. It is very contemporary, and they had a live singer and guitarist - This added to the ambience beautifully. We settled for the Post Theatre menu - only £18.50 for two courses INCLUDING a glass of wine! Outstanding value as the quality of the food was second to none in our opinion. The main menu is a lot dearer but for the quality of the food, I would expect it to be, which made the post theatre menu even better value. We wondered if we would be 'frowned upon' by the staff for selecting the cheaper menu (you have to specifically ask for it), but I felt they treated us just the same as any other guest. I will definitely go again when I'm next in London."

  • "We have been to Quaglino's on many occasions. As usual, excellent service and very good food. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant"

  • "maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt, we did book late and maybe that was the only table left but we couldn't have been any further in the corner, with a pillar in the way which meant the waitress couldn't serve 2 of us properly. on a positive note the food & wine were good value. as we left though there were still empty tables .... (maybe we hadn't quite "dressed up" enough to warrant a better table)."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "This was a great post gallery early dinner - atmosphere is buzzy, and we were surprised with excellent live music which made the experience all the more enjoyable. We had the pretheatre menu given the time of day, the selection was good amd alhough the presentation made the food not look like much, the food was really delicious and good value. Would come here again!"

  • "This is the second time I have been here, last time to meet with a friend who lives in London we live in Newcastle now we were treating our daughter who lives in London What good value we had the champagne and 2 courses for£22.the singer was fab she played guitar and sang all the tunes you knew . The waiters were very polite and friendly , the only small item was that the soup was not very hot. Overall a great place for my husband and I to take our daughter."

  • "We had to wait for some 20 minutes before we were seated (although we had booked for a specific time). Menu was difficult to read - dim lights & small print. Service was friendly but average - but not worth the 12.5% service charge levied on the bill. Although my main course was tasty my wife's was not that good. We were dining with friends and had a lot of catching up to do. There was a good singer but the music was too loud and prevented us from having a decent conversation. Was overall a bit disappointed with the experience."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "I had a fabulous night at Quaglinos, our waitress was an absolute delight. I was celebrating a promotion at work and she sent me a congratulation desert - which was very kind of her! The service is absolutly amazing, the food is delicious and we will be coming back again! ;)"

    dined on 26/03/2014
  • "My son is a picky eater and did not like the main course they served (it was very nice) so they were incredibly good about it and replaced it with a pasta dish he loved. All of the staff were so kind and considerate - it made for a very special evening for us."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "After a day in London visiting an exhibition and some sightseeing the pre theatre meal, before getting the train back to Wiltshire, was ideal. Although, early there was still a good atmosphere and an opportunity to have cocktails in the bar before eating was an excellent way to end the trip. The food and service were both good and all at a reasonable price."

  • "Great offers and flexibility QUAGLINOS really have got it right - the venue was Full - a Great night, good food and not overpriced"

  • "The menu was excellent, as was the service, and the food quality was outstanding. I will definitely be returning soon!"
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "Very poor quality food - price was set so low for the set menu that the quality definitely suffered. Had to send back starter of squid salad which was completely tasteless - other dishes were clearly prepared in bulk and the quality was poor as a result."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "I went with a group of friends to quaglinos for a birthday dinner on Friday. It was a great experience - the deal made it affordable, the service was fab - I would definitely recommend it."

  • "the restaurant has a special atmosphere a kind of decadent feel, we were celebrating a special birthday my wifes 60th with other members of the family, it was great."
    dined on 27/03/2014
  • "Good welcome, introduction of the menu and suggestions. Portions were not huge. Good offer with TT. Lighting was low, a bit dark for my taste."
    dined on 19/03/2014
  • "Had been here before and was slightly concerned the restaurant was more image than quality but that fear was comprehensively dispelled. We tried the £20.00 3 course lunch menu. All dishes including the lamb and bream main courses were exceptional value. Only down side was the belief that the wine list was rather over priced but you make your own choices with that and could choose not to order alcohol. All in all, excellent food and service. Recommended."
    dined on 25/03/2014
  • "It was our first visit to Quaglino's and I was frankly amazed by the value of the 3 courses for £20 "Love Lunch" menu. The restaurant is in a prime location, has a very good ambience and our party was very impressed with the quality of the food and service last Saturday lunchtime."
    dined on 22/03/2014
  • "The seafood platter was great- We used to come to Quaglinos all the time for this and I had forgotten how tasty it was. We then ordered a Tart Tatin to finish. What initially came did not resemble one to say the least, however after speaking with the manager, the situation was immediately dealt with, with a new one freshly prepared, the order taken off the bill and some complimentary macaroons. All in all, a positive dining experience in the end."
    dined on 24/03/2014
  • "We had a post theatre supper here last Saturday evening which the four of us very much enjoyed. We took advantage of the £18.50 two courses plus a glass of house wine offer: reasonable value though we did not rate the red wine. However as we had arrived early we had drinks at the bar which at £9 for a G & T started to push the bill up. There were three menu supplements taken at £4.50 each which further enhanced the bill which after the added 12.5% service charge came to £137! The food was good, the service very good and the ambiance very stylish, if a little noisy. We will return and do recommmend, but be warned!"

  • "This was our first visit and we were impressed by the restaurant, very "buzzy" and good atmosphere, it was a saturday and they also had live music. The service was excellent and the food very good, we both had steak which was cooked exactly to our wishes. We will be coming again."
