Diner Reviews
  • "My boyfriend and I had the Chandon Brut menu - £25.50 for 3 courses and a glass of champage/cocktail. Food was lovely and well presented, but we found the staff slightly rude. It was as if because we were having the set menu they didn't feel the need to be polite and attentive - we were never asked how our meal was, if we wanted anything else and the waiter walked into my boyfriends chair about 5 times throughout the meal without ever apologising."

  • "Gorgeous looking restaurant and great value food. Impeccable service. Loved it and will definitely come back :-)"

  • "I took my kiwi goddaughter here for a treat after the Jersey boys. We had the post theatre menu which was delicious and excellent value. The staff could not have been nicer and we were served very quickly and efficiently . I would highly recommend this venue for post theatre. I haven't been to Quaglinos for years but will now keep returning ."

  • "We booked a two course lunch with wine together with a ticket for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for £29.50 p.p. This was excellent value and the food and the service were very good. The sea bream served with rice and courgettes was a particular favourite. The mackerel starter was well flavoured but a little small. The service was attentive and the food served was well presented and apart from the mackerel the portions were of decent size."

  • "I went with a friend here after hearing from colleagues at work how nice this place was. The dining room was impressive, but not so fancy that I felt like I didn't belong. Service was fine, not overly attentive, but neither were we ignored. Our waitress was really friendly. We had three courses, the glass of Chandon (as per the offer we went on) and both chose a glass of wine too. The bruschetta was ok, but everything else we ate was really good. My ravioli was the best I have ever had. I would definitely go back, and I would definitely recommend it."

  • "Decided to go to Quaglinos to celebrate my friends birthday through the bookatable offer. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was of high standard. Would definitly go back."

  • "We had a wonderful fun evening!. Great service, great value for money and lovely atmosphere, thank you!"

  • "We went here with family visitors and had the champagne set menu, which was excellent value at £25.00 for 3 courses plus champagne. We had to ask for the set menu, which we had researched online, but the food was delicious and the service prompt. It's a good place for a party, but quite noisy if you were going for a romantic occasion! We sat in the corner so we could talk just fine, but if we had been in the main part of the room we would have struggled to hear ourselves. The entrance is spectacular and the service was excellent, prompt but unhurried. The a la carte is pretty expensive, but the quality an choice on the set menu is fine."

  • "I first visited Quaglino's a few months ago and had their 2 course set menu with champagne and it was fantastic. With that my partner's mum was celebrating her birthday so I suggested we return at the weekend and it was nothing like I remembered. The food was no-where near the standard I received in the evening, albeit the same menu format. Asian mushrooms were just buttom mushrooms witha bit of chilli - and LOTS of mayonnaise. The goats cheese bruschetta was like burnt cheese on toast. A very disappointing experience - I would not visit again."

  • "The starter was scallops and was supposed to be £15. We got 2 scallops plus lots of tomatoes and were charged £16.50 each! The lamb was fatty and tasteless. So all in all an expensive meal that was very mediocre."
    dined on 27/06/2014
  • "Lovely food - good choice on the set menu. The only downside is that it is quite noisy, particulalrly with the singer in the bar."

  • "I have been to Quaglino's several time now, I always enjoyed it. Very nice atmosphere, good service and a perfect venue for romance."

  • "Food - pretty hit & miss. 3/5 were so so, 2 were good. For price I would have expected better ingredients, flavour combinations & presentation. Some elements were poorly seasoned or not at all. Drinks - staff didn't understand drinks menu, had to point & explain that they DID hv the drinks we wanted. Coffee was poor & cold. Service - staff didn't understand drinks menu & didn't explain food. Some food arrived cold, constantly had to call for drinks. Bread only for initial 3 guests, no side plates or butter knife. I don't recall being asked even once if everything was ok. Ambience - fine but nearby guests had extremely loud mobile fone ring - Staff did nothing. Value - expensive given quality of food and service - paying for location."

  • "My Polish guests were delighted with the fish and declared the pork option 'as good as home' which is a great compliment for a pork loving nation . Really good well prepared food and the fixed price menus good value ."

  • "Been many times but first time entertaining friends from Australia who had never been to the UK, let alone London. They were mesmerized by the beautiful ambiance and charm of Quags and very impressed with the quality of the cocktails and food from a not so limited set-menu we chose to dine from. They thought great value for money as a tourist. Only gripe was once wine was poured the bottle was stored in a chiller away from table so we had to keep asking the staff when the passed for the glasses to be topped up; but besides from this everything was lovely and I would recommend this place. Also its very good to have a place like this have offers available on a Saturday - many only cater for Sun-Thurs. I'll be back."

  • " My husband and I had been to the theatre to see Skyline and had booked a table at Quaglinos for our post theatre dinner. The staff were very welcoming and as always the dinner was exceptionally good."

  • "I have heard great reviews about Quaglino's so when we saw the love lunch deal I thought fab. What a disappointment. Scrimping on ingredients, unimaginative options; small servings. I could have prepared tastier food at home I definitely will not be going back; rather than gaining a customer with this deal they have lost one"

  • "We had a lovely meal here, on a Friday evening, enjoyed the live jazz singer, food was presented nicely, tasted good, and the bill was very reasonable we had two courses, and cocktail £20 per head! Very nice. They even brought out a little plate of chocolates for my friend to celebrate her birthday - nice touch!"

  • "Staff were very friendly. The choice was very good lovely ambience for my friends birthday meal. One of us was diabetic the manager came and spoke to us to help her choose a dessert. Lovely flute of Champagne included with the offer!"
    dined on 20/06/2014
  • "We have been to Quaglinos a number of times before and have not been disappointed. However this time both the starter and main course disappointed. Neither was fully described in the menu which meant that when it arrived I was concerned to see added ingredients that had I known they were included would have resulted in me choosing a different dish. I will no longer be recommending this restaurant."
    dined on 19/06/2014
  • "All excellent from start to finish. Even acknowledged my husband's birthday even though I had not informed them in advance of visit. It was not our first visit and will definitely dine at Quaglinos again."
    dined on 19/06/2014
  • "We love this place - a bit of glam, excellent food, attentive service but all at a reasonable price. We've been a few times before and will definitely be back. Highly recommended."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "Love this restaurant so much! The atmosphere is fantastic, staff are lovely, food is delicious! Usually come for a special occasion/visiting London for a day or something. Pre/post theatre menu is a great option if you don't want to spend too much- good value for money in that! And the a la carte menu has lots on offer! Must go and experience- it's a hidden gem!"
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "My last experience at Quaglinos was disappointing. Despite asking not to have a table in a specific area in the dining room when i booked, I was allocated one there. This visit was for a special birthday celebration. The restaurant was half empty and there were tables available elsewhere. The service was also poor. Several different waiting staff were attending to our table poorly. Ie only taking one person's order for drinks. but not asking the other diners at the table what they would like . Then having to call a waiter again to take an order"
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "First visit, enjoyed excellent lunch with top notch service. Set meal but good, varied choices, cooking faultless, everything absolutely spot on from the reception right through to the cocktail bar afterwards. Deal included two tickets to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition across the road, which completed the afternoon perfectly. Will definitely go again."
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "We wanted a comfortable round table for eight, and not too noisy. We are the members of a Book Club so we needed to be able to discuss the book and Quaglino's was the prefect choice. The food was delicious and staff attentive. A really good choice."
    dined on 11/06/2014
  • "The meal was poor, with tiny portions. Asian mushrooms turned out to be ordinary white button mushrooms and goats cheese bruschetta had a sliver of goats cheese! £3.75 for a single expresso was somewhat overpriced. We will not be going back."
    dined on 11/06/2014
  • "£15 prix fixe lunch menu offers a good range of options; all delicious ... and outstanding value. I am a fan - and a regular customer."
    dined on 10/06/2014
  • "I love this place, it has great atmosphere and style, good food and very attentive service. From arrival you feel you are in a food event. The bar looks down on the restaurant which has the feel of an exclusive cruise liner. The menu is wide and interesting, with lots of fish and veggie options, alongside carnivore options and the wine list is pretty good value. I like the variety of staff uniforms from the striking red dresses of the welcome team, to the stylish feel of the bar. Staff handled food queries well and made good suggestions for choice and wine. Only downside is that it is quite noisy, but that is offset by all the opportunities for people watching."
    dined on 07/06/2014
  • "I've been here a few times outside of the Top Table deal and it's always been a high standard (ie commensurate with the price) so for the Top Table price I was expecting it to be of a good standard but not anything more. We were very pleasantly surprised - excellent food beautifully presented, first class service and a great ambience. Will definitely go back again soon. Oh and they picked up on the fact it was my birthday due to the pressies and cards and presented me with a lovely wee platter of sweets - how thoughtful was that!"
    dined on 07/06/2014
  • "Visited Quaglino's for dinner last Saturday evening and had a wonderful meal. The food, the service, the live-band, the beautiful flower arrangements in the centre of the restaurant were all outstanding. We shall definitely being going back again!"
    dined on 07/06/2014
  • "Celebrating our wedding anniversary, food fantastic and service superb. good value for money, great bar service and great atmosphere."
    dined on 06/06/2014
  • "Had a lovely evening at Quaglino's! A Opentable pre/post theatre deal which was very good value for money. The food was great, and a good variety of choices on the set menu - which was one of the reasons for selecting this restaurant as my friend is a vegetarian and it was nice for her to have more than just one option! The service was excellent. Attentive but not pressured or smothering in any way."
    dined on 05/06/2014
  • "We had some friends over fom Ameica, and waned a good evening. The service was terrible. He got the orders wrong and did not understand English. We were embarrassed . We will not be coming back."
    dined on 04/06/2014
  • "Wonderful venue, brilliant service, fab food, just brilliant. "
    dined on 04/06/2014
  • "With OpenTable offer, it was good value. Main waiter for our table was rather slow (took ages to order cocktails etc) although the other waiting staff were good, esp the water waitress. I didn't like my starter of Asian mushrooms (I was expecting a hot dish rather than cold) but my friend's Bruschetta was very good. Mains and desserts were also nice. "
    dined on 31/05/2014
  • "Three letters can describe the experience..WOW. we hadn't been for quite a while and I wanted to celebrate an important anniversary with my wife. The service was attentive without being overly busy, and the freshness/quality of fish was outstanding. Topped up by a great ambience and a live Piano/Solo music from the Bar which still allowed conversation. A big thumbs up!"

  • "Came for my dads 60th birthday and booked the set menu, beautiful food, excellent value for money and perfect setting for a special birthday, whole party enjoyed the evening, especially the live background music! 10/10"

  • "This was the second time I have visited this restaurant and it is fast becoming my favourite in London, food was to die for, cocktails were perfect, service and staff are friendly, helpful and assertive. Visited with a friend (her first time) and she absolutely loved it and was amazed by the decor and quality. I think you would impress anyone by taking them here."
