A word from Quaglino's
Quaglino’s, the iconic restaurant and late-night venue in the heart of London’s Mayfair, has undergone an extensive make over at the hands of Russell Sage Studio and brings a contemporary European menu from Executive Head Chef Mickael Weiss.

The venue also boasts not one, but two exciting bars – a glamorous central cocktail bar in the heart of the main dining room and Quaglino’s classic mezzanine bar overlooking the restaurant – both serving tipples with a taste of the past, heavily focusing on classic and champagne cocktails, while the 300 bin wine list showcases a balanced mix of Old and New World references.

Later in the evening, the restaurant transforms into a late-night, live-music mecca; one of the only venues in Mayfair open to the public with a late-night license and free entry, perfect for partying into the early hours.

I haven't visited Quaglino's for a few years but went on Saturday night after a show. Restaurant has been revamped since last time I was there but the feel is similar although a little too dark in places. Food was as good as ever, well cooked and service was efficient and friendly. Live music on a Saturday night which I enjoyed although one of the people I was dining with wasn't so sure.

As soon as we arrived staff were warm and friendly and very accommodating as we were quite early, but they sat us at the bar, and made sure we were attended to. The food choice on the menu was varied and all sounded delicious but what struck me most was the wonderful atmosphere...very decadent yet, comfortable and the room was large, which coud have felt too cavernous, but it was so cozy. Overall an excellent experience from top to bottom and would definitely go back again!

We wanted to try Quaglino's again post refurbishment. The greeting staff were clearly still getting into their stride, but no problem. Our table was too close to the next and my chair kept getting caught by the waiters using gap behind it as a route to other tables. Very annoying. We had to move the table ourselves to create a bigger gap. The food was generally of a high standard. Only real criticism was that the delicious shoulder of lamb was spoiled by dried apricots that had clearly been tipped from the packet straight onto the plate. No attempt to rehydrate them or do anything to make something of them. Yuk! The live music that finished the evening was excellent, although the 'DJ' who started things off added nothing.

I took a friend visiting from Tokyo for the official re-opening night The restaurant was full, which might explain a slower service but the waiters were not attentive at all - there were three manning the table next to us (after they sent back an undercooked steak), while we were kept waiting for out drinks.. The airconditioning is on full in mid October, so everyone seated by the wall had jackets and scarves - I had to ask for my coat back from the cloakroom The live show advertised as starting at 10pm - postponed without the website being updated. Apparently people were complaining it being too loud. Although the restauran itself is huge, so the noise if the crowd is loud enough already. Excellent food, service needs to be looked at.

Service was excellent! Not too intrusive but we felt well looked after. Ambience was unique and beautiful but not too intimidating. Staff were all friendly and catered for our every need including charging my phone. Foodwise amaziiing!- their steak was perfectly cooked, and just melts in the mouth. Good variety on the menu. Atmosphere was buzzing not too loud not too quiet. A great place for dates and group dinners. Would definitely recommend!

After its £3m refurbishment It really ratchets up the anticipation from the 5* hotel-like doorman to the amazing art deco vista as you descend down the stairs. As you get to the restaurant floor with the central bar in front, take a glance back and see the back lit marble steps you have just walked down.Wow! But this is a food review and the menu is great. I had the 42 day aged Beef Rib - and I did share it even though it was tempting to have it all to myself. The steak was Hawksmoor-like but in the restaurant style more refined. A velvet and succulent piece of finely cooked. I finished with a Choux ball filled with fresh cream served with a pot of warm, silky bitter chocolate. All I can say is that it is the only choice for desert. Enjoy.

We were at one of the soft opening evenings of the revamped venue. The refitted venue is outstanding in ambiance and is breathtaking when you walk in. Whilst it has to be said that the service was a little shaky, the whole reason of a soft opening is to knock a new team into shape. The meal itself was what can only be described as outstanding. I dine in Dubai which is by far the best in the world.... this place beats nearly everywhere I dine at in Dubai. Wine and drinks were not over priced for Central London. I will be going back here very soon.

I loved the food, however I did not liked the decor too much. The tables were too big, so I had problems to talk to my boyfriend through out the meal. Because it is just one big room, it was very loud. The outfit of the waitresses was ridiculous. However the service was excellent. That is why 3,5 out of 5.

We went on the 50% off food deal and were delighted. Service and ambience very good - you feel it's a special occasion and not just a quick dinner. Out of the starters we had, not very impressed with the seafood cocktail however the tuna and octopus very good. The star of the evening was the lamb which seemed expensive at £51 but easily could serve 3people and was really delicious ad very special.

Love the new look. Great service and delicious food. There is a great, buzzy atmosphere here which gets enhanced even more when the live music starts. For those looking for private dining check our the private rooms above the main area. Looking forward to returning soon.

great re fit but the food was disappointing. Good choice of starters but mains a disappointment. Our side order arrived after we had finished our mains. The beetroot starter was by far the best dish we ordered. Glam bar now and we liked the addition of the bar in the dining area. Cocktail menu was full of "words" and not easy to identify the base drink i.e. vodka or gin etc. Helpful barman! White wine ordered by the carafe rather than bottle which means no ice cooler/bucket so wine does not stay cold.

Always been a Quaglinos fan but fell out of favour with it over the last few years. I have to say this was a very pleasant surprise. The decor is luxurious, food excellent and reasonably priced for a London restaurant. Can't fault the service. Mathias behind the bar makes a great Cosmo and if you have a dessert go for the Choux a la Chocolate. I look forward to going back very soon especially now they've introduced a stage where there'll be live music until 3am,

Quaglino is the 5 star restaurant, with beautifully created food. I can't remember how many times I've eaten there, EVERY time the food was different and EVERY time it was mind blowing. I have never dined more than few times in one restaurant, but this one is the one I'll keep going back for more! 5 stars - al the way!
