A word from Saigon Saigon
Vietnam, a land of vibrant cultures, vivid contrasts, and an intricate history gives way to some of the most delicious and intriguing food in the world. A colonial background of China and then France, food of Vietnam was the first true fusion cuisine, blending the techniques and ingredients of France and Chinese culinary traditions allowing Vietnam to create a cuisine with a spirit and a flavour all in its own.

Our chefs refer to their cooking as “the nouvelle cuisine of Asia.” Our dishes rely on an abundance of fresh herbs and vegetables, the use of contrasting flavours, varied textures, exotic ingredients and by using methods such as grilling, braising and steaming, Vietnamese food is among the healthiest in the world.

Saigon Saigon aim to provide you with all the pleasures of the Vietnamese table, a captivating taste of an irresistible cuisine and look forward to welcoming you.

We are frequent visitors to Saigon Saigon for take aways and this was our fourth time dining in. As ever the ambience and the service were very good. Most dishes ordered (spring rolls, duck in red soy sauce and prawns in salt and garlic) were excellent with the exception of the steamed aubergine, which was very watery and flavourless. Prices have gone up since we last had a meal at Saigon Saigon and although it is a very good restaurant they are a bit expensive for certain dishes.

Attentive service. Food is ok. Of course you can have better pho on Kingsland Road but if you can't be bothered to go all that way, Saigon Saigon is pretty ok. We asked for Thai basil to go with our pho and they told us they ran out of it which is not good. They could easily have walked a few doors on the street to Thai Smile supermarket to get some.

We enjoyed our time at Saigon Saigon. The food was good and the service good as well. The menu can be a bit daunting as it is quite extensive and the waiters could have given us better recommendations. The place is very pretty though and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back. The only other thing that could have been better is that I wrote on the online reservation form that it was my husbands birthday and therefore requested their best table. I am not sure they read that or made any attempt at making my husband feel special on his birthday.

We booked Saigon Saigon with a view to try out another Vietnamese restaurant after our last visit to one in North London. It was certainly a good decision to go to Saigon. The place was very nicely decorated and the staff very welcoming. It was 7pm on Easter Monday and it was already quite busy. The service was fairly quick and the food was very good. We only tried 3 dishes but they were all very tasty and left us wanting more, but we just could not eat as we were heading off to a party! Overall a very good experience worth repeating.

Overall a good experience. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was the star of this visit, to start we shared the salad rolls (lovely), for mains we shared rib-eye steak in a sauce (fantastic!) crispy sea bass (also gorgeous) and vegetable noodles. There were two down sides, the table location, we were in the middle of two rows and this is a very busy restaurant, so there was a fairly constant stream of waiters passing our table. Secondly, having booked my table for 7:00pm during the week, I got a call on the Saturday afternoon of the visit to tell me that my booking was ok but they wanted my table free by 9:00pm. When we go to dinner it's to take our own time and enjoy the experience, I don't like to have a deadline.

I have visited here 3 times with friends and family. First was middle of the charts delicious. Second was pretty good. Third time again was amazing. We all love the classy atmostphere with historical black and white pictures. We enjoyed most our meals this time , starting with the soft shell crab which is always best here - Fresh salad rolls, for main, we had delicious grilled chicken - Top end Vietnamese ‘canh chua’, the sour soup with monk fish - Diced rib eye with claypot rice. Everything was almost perfect. Prices are reasonable for great food. good wine and sufficient service in the area. Overall it is highly recommended for great Vietnamese food in town.We will definitely come back

We went to Saigon Saigon before going to a show in Hammersmith on a Friday night. Service was prompt, but not too rushed. The waiting staff were lovely and attentive, and even made no objection to explaining the concept of 'Rice Paper', that confused us greatly after a few drinks! Alcohol was resonably priced. Food was excellent. Tasty, with a vast menu. Definately something for everyone. Would recommend.

Food was delicious but there are still service issues that need to be worked out - attentive staff for when drinks are needed and issues with the bill, including mischarging and needing to rectify. Apparently the manager on duty wasn't able to authorise any sort of refund - the owners need to give their staff some autonomy and trust to do their job!

My husband and I decided to visit here based on the reviews. They lived up to their stars! We really enjoyed our meal, my husband started with beef in betal leaves - delish! and I had the best ever soft shell crab in this restaurant!! We moved on to very generous portions for mains, so full that we left with a doggy bag! The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff are attentive and friendly, overall we left with very happy tummies. We're coming back for more as their menu was far too large for just one visit.

I have now been to Saigon Saigon three times now, and the food has tasted better everytime I have been back. They offer one of the largest starter menus I have ever seen. The choice of meat and vegetarian options, allow you to sample the varied cooking options of Vietnamese cuisine. The large mains menu again offers you a great choices of meats, sea foods and vegetarian options. The price of the menu is extremely good. The nice decor can fool into thinking that your wallet may be in for pounding, but the price defiantly represents value for money when you see the sizes of the portions. Simply is a must if you love good food.

We had been to Saigon twice before and loved the food but this time we were less stisfied, probably because we made bad choices. I had a dark brown pork dish that was very intensely flavoured; our friend had sea bream and felt that the garnishes obscured the flavour of the fish.We should have asked the very friendly staff for advice. Also I was seated with my back to the plate glass window of the restaurant and my back got very cold so that I had to eat with my outdoor coat on. Nonetheless I think this was a hiccup and we shall go again.
