Diner Reviews
  • "Food was good but service was absolutely terrible...... desert was good though!"
    dined on 17/04/2014
  • "I have eaten here twice now before a show at the arena. The food is excellent and there is a nice menu to choose from and the deserts are fantastic. The service is abit slow but the staff are all very friendly. I would recommend booking as it is not a big restaurant."

  • "Had dinner before wembley arena show, literally next door to arena so very convient service very good food very good would recommend and go back"

  • "I had my birthday booking for dinner - To sum it up my friends and I had the worst night possible. Our table was covered with broken glass after the waiter tripped and dropped several cocktails over our coats and bags. It took them 25 minutes to clean up and we even had to ask them for another table as we were all hungry by then. My dessert came last when everyone had finished! On the bill they had the audacity to charge £33 service bill, even with terrible service! All in all, a bad experience, inexperienced and rude staff. Very unorganised and remember you will have to wait a long time for your food, which doesn't arrive together. I don't ever recommend this place especially when for 5 people it costed us £198 excluding their tip."

  • "Lovely food, we both had different varieties of the sliders with triple cooked chips (they'd run out of fries). We both had a nice cocktail and a dessert. We'd recommend both the chocolate and ameretto torte and the chocolate sundae. We were sitting in the corner and did feel the service was a bit slow at times upon clearing the table and being able to ask for the bill but we'd definitely return as it was lovely!"

  • "As per our previous visit the food was outstanding and did not disappoint and they were attentive to us."
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "Didn't get to eat in the restaurant as they wouldn't honour the deal of a 3 course meal for £19. I asked about the offer when I arrived, said that we could have it, ordered and were then told that as it was an event night they couldn't honour it. I was told that it was clearly highlighted on the we sight when booking that the offer wasn't available on event nights. I have gone back to the we sight to see if this is the CAse but I can't find any statement like this - on the restaurant website or on top tables when booking. Restaurant was not busy, it being a Monday night & would have been nice if they had honoured the deal. Staff seemed very junior & was sent out with these messages - no manager or other staff member spoke with us"

  • "Service was slow, although staff was very apologetic. Not much choice."
    dined on 18/01/2014
  • "Used the 3 courses for £20 offer from TT and was very pleased with the quality and value of the food. We were initially a little reserved about the food due to reviews of small portions (potentially to ficus on the desserts) but found that serving sizes were very adequate and left us all stuffed by the end! Food was fast and well cooked and the service very attentive. It was quieter than expected (there was no events at Wembly) which did make the venue a little sparse and cold. Will definitely go back as was great value for money."
    dined on 09/01/2014
  • "Small portions and very expensive for what it is... i would recommend going for deserts though as they were amazing!!! Nice decor however wasn't busy when we went so not much ambience"
    dined on 02/01/2014
  • "We ate dinner here before a show at the Wembley Arena. The food was good and the staff were very helpful. You need to book if you want to eat here as the restaurant is quite small and walk-in places are unlikely to be available."
    dined on 23/12/2013
  • "Great meal here before X factor final. Good value. Only negatives were food was very salty and the veg came out too late (but was taken off the bill). Manager was very helpful."
    dined on 15/12/2013
  • "They seem to be trying very hard but are lacking in direction, It is like a station waiting room with a 20ft high ceiling so not very cosy, They do have a 5ft Xmas tree though ?? Had to wait a long time for strange tasting food. Defiantly would not go again except for a Tea and Cake"
    dined on 06/12/2013
  • "It is a beautiful little restaurant and the food was nice. Certainly good value at £20 for 3 courses. Unfortunately I got the feeling it could have been better - the food didn't deliver all it promised - but if it had I guess it would have been twice the price! The wine was lovely and sensibly priced. The staff were pleasant. It is well worth a visit before a show."
    dined on 29/11/2013
  • "Great meal at an ideal location pre -theatre (Wembley), however, I felt the waitress left us feeling a little down when we did not tip her on top of the £6.50 service charge, I do not feel a tip appropriate after a charge has been applied by the establishment. It was obvious how the waitress felt regarding this as her guard dropped at this point, no more politeness, no thank you for visiting or have a nice evening, or please visit us again, all comments passed on to the previous group who paid and left before us who had left her an additional payment for her service!!!!! Apart from that we would recommend the quality of the food."
    dined on 24/11/2013
  • "We ate at the restaurant while our daughters were at a concert in the arena. How lucky we were to find such a fantastic place to eat. Both the food and service were first class!"
    dined on 23/11/2013
  • "We went here on a date with my boyfriend of 4 years! Firstly you can see the kitchen from the outside which was clean and soooo organised! The waiter opened the door and was polite and friendly. We got a great seat which was warm and cosy. The menu hasnt got much chioce but will have something u like. We got a three course meal deal for 22.50 i had the prawns and pasta thing for strater. It was soo nice the sauce is really yummy! Then i had the beef for a main. The beef was sooo sweet, tender and yummy! And finally the dessert! Couldnt choose! But i got one and the bf got something different! I loved his better. But on a whole lovely food. Friendly staff. We would be going back, and great place to go it going wembley arena. Its next door"
    dined on 16/11/2013
  • "Wembley, on a day where there is something going on in the Stadium, can be very difficult to find somewhere good to meet friends. This place was excellent - only minutes from the Stadium and yet the staff were so relaxed and made us very welcome. There was no pressure to 'eat and move'. We sat on comfy chairs, bottle of wine, and chilled. Very good afternoon."
    dined on 03/11/2013
  • "Perfect restaurant to relax and enjoy good food while the men were watching football in the stadium. Conveniently located near both Wembley stations, the stadium and the new shopping centre. Food and service were excellent - a restaurant dedicated to puddings can't go wrong in my mind and didn't disappoint. Will definitely return and bring more family."
    dined on 27/10/2013
  • "Wine service was poor as they had no chilled white wine Staff friendly but it is more geared to a dessert Restaurant."
    dined on 26/10/2013
  • "Wanted to go to a proper restaurant ahead of match at Wembley and the reviews sounded great. The wait for food was ridiculous and it was hardly busy at all. The Gnocchi was good but the fish and chips had oven chips even though they pride themselves on home cooking! The bread and butter pudding was good but the waffles were very average. This did not live up to our expectation unfortunately and I wouldn't go there again."
    dined on 27/10/2013
  • "A lovely place to meet up with lots of lovely sweet (and some savoury) treats on offer, hidden away in Wembley. Got quite busy towards late afternoon. It did take a while however, for my order to be rectified - ordered waffles but was given pancakes and was expected to eat them even when the waitress confirmed that wasn't what I ordered!!?? Considering it wasn't busy at that time of day, 2.30pm to be exact. Baffled.com Apart from that, had a lovely afternoon and will go back to experience the cocktail happy hour on a Tuesday/Saturday evening."
    dined on 03/10/2013
  • "Pleasant dining experience before wembley arena gig as its only a 30 second walk away. Very good communication from restaraunt once booking was made which was reassuring. Food was good especially desserts.. Only one critisim portion sizes we felt were a little small."
    dined on 05/10/2013
  • "Give yourself plenty of time, service slow and poor. No complaints about the food."
    dined on 03/10/2013
  • "Found this place by accident online and went for it on the strength of the picture of their dessert Raspbeery Mille Fuille (not spelled correctly) and that was last month. Itwas amazing first time and had to go again last week to be sure it was as good second time round 10 out of 10, 5* food, 5* service and 5* value, cheaper than Frankie n Bennys and 100 % better quality food."
    dined on 04/10/2013
  • "Food was fantastic. There wasn't a great deal of choice for main course and I didn't think I really fancied anything availbable so just chose gnocchi at random but it turned out to be the best gnocchi I've ever had, and pudding was gorgeous. Prices were pretty much what you'd expect to pay at your local pub restaurant but the food was so much better. Staff understood we were in a hurry to see a show so served us quickly. They were happy to store my giant electric wheelchair as out of the way as possible but I think it might be a bit challenging if you had to stay in one as the restaurant is very small. Didn't investigate the disabled loo as it was on a combination lock and I can walk so didn't bother asking for the combination."
    dined on 14/09/2013
  • "We were early, so decided to have G&Ts while we waited for our table to be free, which was not long although the drinks took a while. The meal was delicious, especially triple fried chips with their gourmet burger. My husband was delighted with Baked Alaska & son-in-law with home made waffles. On the table next to us each diner was eating a cake selection, which looked amazing. Overall a tasty experience"
    dined on 14/09/2013
  • "Booked this on the photograph of the Raspberry Fuille dessert and then looked at the menu and prices and we were happy with our choice. When we arrived, people were being turned away as they were fully booked up and now I am so glad I booked. Service was second to none, as good as the Strand or Ritz in London and the food matched the quality of previous hotels too. We had drinks and 2 courses (main and dessert) and it was presented like nothing better you could see any Mitchelin chef present and the taste was deviine. Food 5* Prices 2* 10 out of 10 and will recommend to all my friends and clients."
    dined on 14/09/2013
  • "The food served here is superb, the atmosphere is pleasantly lounge-y, the restaurant is small but the tables not squashed together, and everything is clean. The only (minor) let-down is that I felt a bit of a language barrier with the (very friendly and willing) staff; both girls were lovely but their English somewhat too limited so special requests (a starter served as main course, extra fruit with dessert) took a lot of repeat explaining."
    dined on 12/09/2013
  • "Its a lovely atmosphere here probably one of the best options pre wembley or wembley arena they do seem short of staff so food and drinks are good and staff are friendly but under pressure so can take a while to get drinks whilst in a group i would come back though the menu is varied and different not just desserts"
    dined on 26/07/2013
  • "Met friends and had a great pre-match meal and drink prior to a five minute walk to wembley stadium. Pre booking recommended."
    dined on 14/08/2013
  • "The food here is exceptional, small menu but all very tasty and brilliantly presented. Highly recommended."
    dined on 30/07/2013
  • "Went with my girlfriend before Robbie Williams concert. We waited for an 50 minutes for our food. There didn't tell us when we sat down that the oven was broken and could only have burger and chips or fish and chips. When our drinks there only brought out one glass. Not like we could share as had two different drinks. And finally service was rude and awful that was a shame for what could be a nice place to eat. Didn't even have dessert that was stupid as was a dessert restaurant and was looking forward to it. Would not recommend to anyone unless changes are made."
    dined on 29/06/2013
  • "We booked Sugar Mills at 6pm for a meal before going to see Santana at Wembley arena. It was 40 minutes before we were even brought a drink and this was on a day when the temperatures were nudging 30. We were told that our food would come in plenty of time it arrived at 7.10pm so we had to eat it quickly. The food was excellent just such a pity we didn't have time to relax and enjoy the dinner with our wine, the deserts looked amazing but all we had time to do was look at them as they went passed, lucky we skipped the starter or we wouldn't have had time for a main course even. We were not the only table stressed by the long wait and poor service, surely a restaurant next door to Wembley Arena should be used to serving pre-concert dinners."
    dined on 19/07/2013
  • "discovered this by chance prior to robbie wiliams concert booking essential on big event days. It was such a lovely surprise the main courses are just as tempting as the desserts i would happlily go back tehre they did get a little busy so not all courses came quikcly but it was a hot day on a concert day and all tables in and out were taken so staff were a little swamped. Can't wait to go back to try some of the things i couldn't have on the last visit. It exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of food and ambiance and it is literally next door to wembley stadium"
    dined on 05/07/2013
  • "I have found the area around Wembley Stadium and Arena appalling for food, drink or relaxing and so was pleased to find this restaurant. The staff were all pleasant but the service was too slow and not in the restaurant's interests as they were turning away custom when we were wanting to get through our meal and leave. Perhaps they hadn't realised there was an event at the Arena that night or were short-staffed but I can only comment on what we experienced. The menu was varied and imaginative and there was a vegetarian option and, as in the name of the restaurant, a splendid cake and dessert list. The decor was very attractive."
    dined on 08/07/2013
  • "Attended Sugar Mill Desserts prior to a concert at Wembley Stadium. It was not what we expected being somewhat smaller than envisaged. Although we were early they did find a table for my party quite quickly but then took 15 minutes to tell us that a bottle of white wine we had ordered had run out. We ordered another but again a 10 minute plus gap ( and two reminders) to be told they had no white wine at all. They offered us red but at a higher price than the white. We decided at this point to depart. Overall shocking lack of service. Apart from anything else they did not appear to care. They do not deserve anyone's business avoid unless you want long waits and ultimate disappointment."
    dined on 30/06/2013
  • "On arrival we had to track down a waitress to let them know we had a booking. Once seated another server rather rudely questionned whether we had a booking! Order was taken quickly but half the mains were sold out. Wine arrived quickly, waiter spilt it, walked away and we had to call him back to wipe up the mess. Took ages for mains to arrive, salmon was dry, potato portion not enough to feed a child. Waiter took ages to clear our plates. We knew what we wanted for desert which confused the waitress, she had never heard of a Knickerbocker Glory so had to go away and check. Took ages for deserts to arrive, wrong flavour ice cream served with Torte. Service included automatically, over charged for what we thought was a combined menu price."
    dined on 22/06/2013
  • "Terrible service, average food, soulless place. Near enough to the stadium for them not to have to care about the dining experience as people are always in the area for something else. Won't be going back."
    dined on 27/05/2013
  • "Sugar mill offer something new and interesting in wembley, from breakfast, lunch afternoon tea to dinner, the food is great and good value.I will certainly visit again."
