Nice enough decor and general vibe, but service decidedly lacklustre on the night I went. Food reasonable. Not sure I'd rush back.

Unfortunately the expensive cocktails are 99% ice and the waiter dealing with us was quite rude. Food was ok but not great.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2012

The Alice House is a great venue for a drinks, bar and standing parties. For lunch and brunch it is also lovely. However, as an evening eating venue, the noise and organisation is far from ideal. Despite booking for food, we were put on a mishmash of tables right under the bar. This did disrupt the evening significantly, and there were several large tables free other than a few bar goers leaning on them. The service was attentive but ultimately ineffective, as only half the orders were taken, resulting in a huge gap between people's food coming.
    Special Features:
vibrant bar scene, great for brunch, late-night find, neighborhood gem, notable wine list

  • Never going back
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

We had a really terrible experience at The Alice House. We were a booked table of 10 and when we arrived we only had 8 chairs, they ran out of roasts and then, after we had to ask to order desserts, we were told the kitchen was closed and that we wouldn't be served because 'the chefs are already angry they're having to work late to serve our big party"!!! A terrible experience and a real disappointment given we were there to celebrate two birthdays. We won't be going back!

The Alice house in London was a great night out. Not really for the food which was a little cold and not too exciting though since we had turned up half an hour late and I believe the kitchen was closing it would be wrong to be too critical. The good time relates to the bar and the DJ both were superb. Cocktails and discs very well mixed. We will be back but maybe just to party.

We went for sunday lunch as a group of 4. Food was good but very slow service and small portions. We were even told that we couldnt order any food for about half an hour. We assume the kitchen was overwhelmed, but the place was less than half occupied. Service was friendly but a bit lazy and not much attention to customers (but probably what is expected from a pub). Ambience was great apart from the masses of young parents and babies.

It's a great place, casual and warm, food is very, very good and the staff friendly. The only thing is the food is slow in coming so don't go if you're in a rush.

Alice House (Queens Park) - a great-looking trendy place that's also very busy (as expected). Were taken to a table in a dark corner a little out of the way of everyone which wasn't too bad but it did seem like we would get forgotten quite quickly (which WAS the case). The table was huge and it seemed like we were somewhat of an afterthought. When the food and drinks finally did arrive we were pleasantly surprised - tasty and good portions. Would go again but just for drinks or as a larger group

  • Had my birthday celebration

Had my birthday celebration here on a Friday evening and had a great time. The staff were really lovely and made my night. We only had a couple of bar snacks (which were yummy, as were the cocktails) but all the food I saw looked good! I'll definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking for a drink and a bite to eat or to have a larger party. It's always busy which is a good sign I'm not the only one who thinks they're doing it right!

The Alice house in Queens park was friendly, lively and a great experience. All the dishes we selected were a really good size and the wait staff were so accomodating and helpful. I was really happy to eat and drink there and will definately be back. The lady who attended our table had only been there a couple of weeks and she was fantastic. She checked anything she wasnt sure of and made sure our time there was enjoyable. thank you!

Really good food at the Alice House in Queen's Park but it is not a restaurant - it's a bar that does nice food so on a Saturday night be prepared to feel like you are eating in a club (the dj was 5 feet away from us). Lunch would probably be better on a Saturday if you want to speak to your dining partner.

Good food but service was terrible. Kids got their meals after the adults. Whatever happened to getting the kids meals out quickly to avoid tantrums!! Saw our bottle of wine sitting on the bar for over 20 minutes! The steak redeemed the whole experience!

This is the second time I have been to The Alice House (the first was for lunch). On both occasions, food, drinks and service were excellent. The staff are very knowledgable of their menu, fantastic at listening to and accommodating customers' needs, and provide a very welcoming environment. On this occasion, it was for a friend's 30th birthday, and the waitress was happy to give extra attention when I asked for his cocktail to include a sparkler! Would definitely recommend The Alice House as the perfect place for a meal, lunch or dinner, or simply to meet friends and enjoy a drink or two! Next time, I'm going to experience their breakfast!

Book a table as The Alice House gets very busy. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food - couldn't fault it, looking forward to taking my kids there for brunch. If you're after a romantic meal wouldn't suggest The Alice House as it is a bit loud. Overall excellent, would recommend.

Really loved the Alice House, great food and drink, and a really lovely atmosphere/surrounding. Really great for a relaxed lunch or brunch with family or friends, or just for a quiet drink. The food is lovely, although there isn't a huge menu, but whatever you choose will be worth it (especially their flank steak!). Very friendly and helpful staff as well :)

We love The Alice House, it's such a great addition to QP. The food's always great but ... the service can sometimes let the place down a bit. If that could just get sorted out, the whole experience would be so much better.
