The pub is well looked after inside and out with a nice patio for drinking and dining outside. We ordered the stone baked pizza bread for starters to share with was nice(not hard to cook)lol. For mains we had roasted spring lamb which was cook just has it should be and the falcon steak burger which was cooked exactly as i wanted and very nice. The puddings were no let down either.. all in all a very nice evening meal.

A good lunch in very pleasant setting. The food was above average good, the service was terrible. This might be because it was the last lunch on a very busy holiday weekend. Will try it again.

  • First time dining here as

First time dining here as a little further out than we usually travel, however it was definately worth the trip. The inside of the bar / restaurant is very charming and cosy with lots of old beams and wooden floors. I had the fishcakes to start, which were amongst the best I've had at a restaurant. My partner had the soup (tomato and basil) which he declared to be very tasty. For main we both had the chicken which was cooked very well, succulent and not dry at all. Dessert was creme brulee which, being one of my favourites I am very critical of! I need not have worried however as it was beautiful. Service thoroughout the meal was impeccable. All in all, a very good dining experience and we will definately return.

The 4 course was not really a 4 course as I do not class tea / coffee and a small biscuit as a course. My main course was only luke warm and the starter was only 1 fig not as stated figs with goats cheese. Overall I felt that it was not good value for the price charged

  • We had a lovely evening at
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

We had a lovely evening at the Falcon and the food was delicious. My only critism was the seating! As strange as it seems! The bench was too high for the table so 1 of us was sat very high and the other was a lot lower on the wooden chair. The tables were very wide which at times made it difficult to hear each other across and meant there wasn't much room for the waitresses/other diners to get past behind you even if you were tucked right it. Apart from the furniture a very pleasant evening, thank you.
