  • "Fantastic we went for an anniversary meal, the staff were very welcoming, food amazing, wine amazing had a fantastic evening would highly recommend !!!!"

  • "The staff at the Feathered Nest work hard to ensure that you get a warm welcome the minute you step over the threshold. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is first class. Whilst the prices are a bit higher than the local norm the quality and presentation of the food means that it represents good value for money. Its a delightful place to kick back and relax."

  • "This is a beautiful restaurant, in a stunning setting, serving high quality food and with very friendly and accommodation staff. Would recommend for a special meal, as it's a bit pricey, or equally just for a pint and maybe something small from their menu if the weather is fine."
    dined on 25/08/2014
  • "I was recommended the Feathered Nest Country Inn by friends as the ideal place for a "Romantic Evening" with exceptional food , incredible views over the Cotswolds It was an experience that one will not forget and will certainly be on the radar for those "special evenings " The staff made you welcome the minute you arrived . They are all professionals in every respect and truly know how to look after Customers ,not only from a hospitality point of view but their knowledge on the food and wines Expensive -- but pure heaven"

  • "Went out for a drive and ended up at this charming village pub, set in lovely gardens. Luckily we booked online as several people were turned away disappointed when they just turned up. The menu is not extensive but should have something to cover everyone's taste. However, whilst the mains are not too bad at around £15-28 starters are very expensive with many the same price as the mains. I had veal capatcio which was £14, nice but seemed expensive for what it was. Deserts are also expensive with a mainly ice cream dish being £9. However, saying that the food was delicious and well cooked/presente and staff very friendly, so will go again. We have a dog and she was also made to feel welcome in the main bar with her own water bowl."
    dined on 23/08/2014
  • "Beautiful location, excellent service, broad range of wines and good local beers, food lived up to menu descriptions. Recommended!"

  • "Absolutely fabulous meal. Stunning view, lovely setting. My girlfriend was blown away by the whole experience. The food was fantastic. We were spoilt by stunning warm clear evening, but I'd still come here in the Winter. Top 5 meals of all time"

  • "The Nest just gets better every time we visit. The food is prepared and served to a very high standard, the win list extensive and well chosen and the staff warm and welcoming."

  • "An absolute gem - our second visit in a couple of weeks, and there will be many more!!"
    dined on 19/07/2014
  • "We hadn't been back to The Feathered Nest for a while but had dinner there on Saturday night. We had somehow forgotten; The team are excellent, knowledgable, and hugely attentive, the venue is a delight and the food was simply stunning. Possibly one of the finest restaurants in The Cotswolds. We will be back, lots !"
    dined on 12/07/2014
  • "We came across this pub when passing and couldn't have been more delighted with every aspect of our visit. The service was attentive, food fabulous and atmosphere relaxed in great surroundings with a view to die for. Will definitely revisit next time we are passing by."
    dined on 06/07/2014
  • "Having lived in the Cotswolds for almost a year now and have eaten at many high quality pubs however, The Feathered Nest, tops the lot. From pulling into the car park and seeing the amazing views, you know you're somewhere special. The welcome couldn't have been warmer and the decor perfectly befitting. We had drinks in the bar first, with a selection of complimentary canapés whilst we perused the menu and comprehensive wine list. The meal was outstanding, we have been lucky to eat in high end restaurants around the world and I'm not exaggerating the quality of this one. The menu is not cheap but you get what you pay for and in this case, that is food, wine, service and ambience that can't fail to be recognised by a Michelin star very soon."
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "From the moment you enter there is a warm welcome from the staff, they are attentive and knowledgeable without ever being intrusive. From cosy winter nights by the fire to summer evenings outside with the glorious views, there is a wonderful calm and relaxed atmosphere throughout. The food is colourful and stimulates the eyes as well as the taste buds, with menus to satisfy the discerning diner. An excellent choice for a romantic evening or a celebration with friends, it is the place to dine."
    dined on 02/07/2014
  • "This place is crazy.  I've been to many pubs and restaurants, searching for a great roast dinner, many just don't cut it.  This place absolutely nails it. Not only is the food superb (we had the suckling pig) but the views are epic, the service is outstanding and the dessert menu is crazy.  If you are visiting the Cotswolds area, stop here for Sunday lunch. Seriously, and I don't say this lightly, it is amazing."
    dined on 29/06/2014
  • "Probably my most favourite place in the whole world to dine. We've been here a lot and given a choice would not go anywhere else. All aspects are fabulous, the location & scenery, the ambience, the service & above all the food. Little more to say. No wonder their list of awards keeps growing. Fantastic!"
    dined on 26/06/2014
  • "We stayed for Friday and Saturday night and wished it was longer. The service was outstanding, the food was the worthy of Michelin stars and the room was so relaxing and comfortable. Any request was no trouble and hence Service rated as outstanding. My partner enjoyed the food so much she had exactly the same both nights. The decor of the room was a very nice balance and the bathroom was one that you would wish in your own house. We stayed in the Dovecote room at the top of the building, the views across the valley will make anyone want to move to the Cotswolds. Vegetarian food options are superb, especially the courgette flower."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "Wonderful location. Food was divine. Super presentation. Nice wines by the glass. We will definitely return."
    dined on 01/06/2014
  • "We've been eating at many fancy places around Europe. This is one of our top favourite restaurants all categories. Excellent food, friendly atmospheare, beautiful surroundings. "
    dined on 31/05/2014
  • "A fantastic meal at this lovely restaurant. Everything from the views in the garden to the wine selection to the food. This place had it all. You will not be disappointed by booking a table here. We went on a recommendation from a family member and I can honestly say we were more than happy he told us about this gem. We will most certainly be going back."
    dined on 25/05/2014
  • "Absolutely perfect in everyday. A sunny Sunday lunch in the UK has no finer out door setting, service or food. Be adventurous and stray from the typical roasts, the fish is especially good. Excellent wine list, not the cheapest, but worth every penny."
    dined on 18/05/2014
  • "Consistently the best food in the area, and our family favourite - we always have a lovely experience here, and it's our first choice for a special evening. A world away from run-of-the-mill pub-grub, this is a genuine dining treat. Staff are very accommodating, service is good, and dishes are fresh, interesting, and well-presented."
    dined on 17/05/2014
  • "Luckily we chose a beautiful sunny day to discover tucked away in the Cotswolds this treasure. To be served by friendly and caring people, wonderfully presented food, whilst looking over the countyside, unspoilt, delightful. The situation of the Featherd Nest ,secluded but easily found, makes a visit here something to be repeated. But choose a sunny day!"
    dined on 09/05/2014
  • "We had dinner at this gastro pub and the food was excellent, it is expensive but it is worth the money since the quality was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. A nice restaurant."
    dined on 03/05/2014
  • "This place knows exactly what it's good at and it executes confidently and with precision. The setting is beautiful in its own right and the place itself is presented to a standard that matches that. The very best thing is the outstanding level of warmth and service, which makes every experience a real pleasure. The cooking is good and sometimes surprising. A pub like this needs to balance a very difficult set of expectations between good pub food (e.g: fish & chips) and fine dining (e.g: a plate of spring lamb done three ways)and by and large it gets it right. My only challenge is its price point which is right at the top of the range in which you'd expect it to be. As long as you're aware of that it remains good value."
    dined on 29/04/2014
  • "We visited The Feathered Nest for a family birthday celebration and it was a great success. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional, a great mix. The food was first class with the Lemon Sole a particular highlight. The view from our table was also excellent and the whole place has a homely feel. Given the prices definitely a place for special occasions but I would strongly recommend it."
    dined on 12/04/2014
  • "We had a fantastic lunch and although we are not big dessert fans we found ourselves arguing who had which dessert, they were absolutely delicious and we both cleared the plates! The food was beautifully presented and we weren't disappointed in the taste. We stayed much longer than we had planned as we were having such a lovely time. We will be back."
    dined on 11/04/2014
  • "Food was outstanding and lovely location . Service was a bit erratic. If restaurants are seeking to aspire to top end food and prices then more attention to service needs to be given. Eg. Waitress needed to be prompted for coats and was unresponsive when we asked after the children's desserts which we had been waiting a while for."
    dined on 04/04/2014
  • "Mixed feelings and not really enough space to review properly. Pros: food excellent and very beautifully presented, extensive wine and bin-end lists, knowledgeable and professional staff, beautiful surroundings. Cons: very impersonal feel, definitely not a 'country inn', brutal booking system. We felt it may have got a little big for its boots but perhaps that is the demand in this area. We live in London and were looking specifically for a country pub with exceptional food. This is a London restaurant in the middle of the countryside."
    dined on 01/04/2014
  • "Only a couple of miles of the main road and well worth the trip. Beautiful location and a very clean and pleasant building. Great service and great food. Will definitely go again."
    dined on 01/04/2014
  • "Superb food and charming service in an outstanding setting."
    dined on 27/03/2014
  • "My wife visited for Sunday lunch, having already eaten here during the week (and having booked again for the subsequent week). This speaks for itself. We had a superb roast lunch - me with the pork and my wife, the beef. One of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had (saving my wife's cooking of course!). Highly recommended for both food and device."
    dined on 23/03/2014
  • "The setting of The Feathered Nest is beautiful - what is amazing is finding such a sophisticated restaurant 'off the beaten track' as it were but still an idyllic location with a wonderful view. There is a superb choice of wines and the food is excellent. Every dish is lovingly thought through and wholly imaginative. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Overall, the whole experience is one to be savoured. I have been before but have never booked through toptable before."
    dined on 20/03/2014
  • "We were welcomed with a smile and brought into the wonderful atmosphere of a beautifully lit and presented building to sit by a roaring fire and settle in to a pre-dinner drink. With no rush, we were able to wander over to our table whenever we were ready where we were presented with amazing food with brilliant wine recommendations and such knowledgeable and friendly service. Really top class."
    dined on 19/03/2014
  • "we visit the cotswolds regulary for cheltenham horse racing incl. the festival week in march., we had been recommended the resturantt last year but never got there. after finding the venue with some difficulty we were welcomed in a nice way, we thought the ala carte menue was expensive from the onset but the bar meals seemed good value. the resturant was sparsely full & did not have a jolly atmosphere. as we have eaten in many mitchelin resturants at home & in europe we found this non mitchelin menu highly priced. the staff were very good but one of the proprieters did not introduce themselves, which we found unfriendly. what a shame after looking forward to the feathered nest for sometime, we felt the lack of clients tells a story."
    dined on 13/03/2014
  • "made to feel very welcome by mine host who showed us to a table by the window and wow the views were incredible. What a spot! Offered drinks while we decided from a varied menu. Incredible wine list but we had house wine and it was good. Lovely food, well presented, good flavours and plenty. Recommend octopus starter and we both had roast pork which was succulent and the best roast potatoes I have ever had. Lovely grounds and great little village. Would definitely go again."
    dined on 09/03/2014
  • "My family and I had a wonderful evening at The Feathered Nest celebrating our daughter's birthday. The welcome was warm and friendly, everyone was helpful, we had great advice on the wine and twice waitresses offered to take a photo for us. The food was absolutely delicious! We would highly recommend The Feathered Nest."
    dined on 08/03/2014
  • "Beautiful pub with beautiful views over the Evenlode Valley. But what makes it special is the truly awesome food. Some of the dishes wouldn't be out of place at the top end of London's restaurant scene, with incredible flavours, presentation and colour. Stunning!"
    dined on 22/02/2014
  • "The last meal at the feathered nest was the best ever, this was very close! Our favourite place to dine!"
