Diner Reviews
  • "The Greenhouse is located in a very quiet place and the environment is excellent for a business dinning, especially when our clients prefer more private conversations. Compared to other 2 star restaurant I've been to, the service is better at Greenhouse. The food is also very good and full of surprise. The chef has applied many oriental elements in some courses and there are also some very British courses. In general, it is an ideal place for business dinning. I would definitely recommend it to others especially when they want to impress their clients."

  • "you might have some difficulty finding The Greenhouse, but it is well worth the stroll. Every aspect is excellent, wine prices start a little high but that is a minor deterrent to a visit."

  • "Superb cooking and excellent service as always, not a bargain but very special"

  • "Just amazing! The ambience, service and food was the best we have ever experienced and in a way I have mixed feelings in giving The Greenhouse such high praise as I'd rather keep this place a secret."

  • "Another great eating experience. This time the Adventure menu which accurately describes the food we was presented. Each dish a delight of delicate and complimentary flavours with a distinctly Asian influence, nothing disappointed and many surprises. Our sommelier chose two excellent wines that we enjoyed by the glass and at the end we were presented with a signed menu a list of our wines to seal the memory."

  • "I'm a vegetarian who going to leave Britain next week. I just want to try different Michelin star restaurants in UK. I had a lunch in Greenhouse but soon I was so regretful! I should come dinner!! Here is a restaurant which can let you order a glass of Krug, The red wine which they recommended for me were also nice. I didn't order white wine, but they gave me a small glass of white wine( 2006 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet) to test. You can really enjoy good food and good wine here! Of course, GREAT service!! So I asked the kind waitress do they still have free table for one person on this Friday night? Thank God they did! Can't wait for Friday! ! I will come bake when the next time I come to London definitely!"

  • "Had a lovely dinner on Saturday evening at Greenhouse. The venue is wonderful - tucked away in a quiet mews with the wonderful entrance, interior was beautiful and modern. Service was attentive but not intrusive, in fact they were always helpful, providing ideas and explaining the dishes/ingredients. Food was excellent, inventive, flavoursome and fresh. We were worried that it would be too formal (as per some reviews) but the staff made us feel very welcome, and we felt very relaxed throughout our meal. On the pricey side, but a 10/10 experience comes with a price! Would definitely recommend."

  • "Right in the middle of Mayfair, an unbelievably quiet place with a delicious menu; original and in season. Special mention for the wine list - apparently they have four wine cellars nearby, you'll be spoilt for choice!"

  • "The service is good, the food is fine ans tasty. The portion are small, we expected more. But at the end, we are full. They have the same dessert as the Ledburry. The passion fruit soufflé... That s weird."

  • "Delicious food! The set menu was great value! Great service"

  • "Great meal. Service was good but it was hard to understand what the waiters were saying. Phenomenally expensive but we did have the surprise tasting menu and wine pairing - bill for 2 was £530! Would go back only if there was a special deal (which they do do)."
    dined on 17/07/2014
  • "We really enjoyed having dinner here. We had the eight course Discovery menu and every course was very light and tasty and was perfectly matched with the sommeliers wine of choice. A great food experience!"

  • "An excellent setting for a superb meal. Well worth the money. Here's hoping I can find an opportunity to return."

  • "My recent visit was the first occasion I had eaten in a 2 Star Michelin restaurant. It certainly didn't disappoint! The food was truly outstanding and the service was impeccable, as you would expect. Took my girlfriend here for a birthday meal and can honestly say it was the best food we had ever eaten. Will definitely be returning and can highly recommend. The wine menu is very comprehensive and provides good options for any budget."

  • "Great service, amazing food, little pricy (our a la carte meal came to £250 and we ordered the cheapest wine)."

  • "Staff and food were excellent. The whole experience was thorally excellent."

  • "Can't see why this has 2 stars but Manchester House & the French at the Midland don't have 1 between them; however setting and food good although wish the vegetarian options went on these menus as standard. Didn't like the basil macaroon"
    dined on 04/07/2014
  • "The Greenhouse gave us a wonderful experience for a reasonable price. The dishes we had varied between delicious to downright amazing and were reasonably sized so that we were quite full after a 3 course meal (get the heirloom tomatoes starter!). The service was pleasant - polite and helpful (very good cocktail recommendation!), without being patronizing or overbearing as we've experienced in other Michelin-starred places. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. Sort of intimate, despite the open space full of people. Good for a romantic meal."

  • "Opted for special 6 course tasting menu. From the canapés and amuse bouche to desserts, every course was excellent. Simple presentation, but very high quality foods and great combination of flavors. Great wine pairing and the service was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend and would return to try Chef Arnaud Bignon's other dishes! Very delight evening."

  • "5 star restaurant. Everything was fantastic. Service superb. Would recommend the veal!!"
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "Exceptional service, the Sommelier was particularly knowledgeable and friendly picking an excellent bottle. Whilst the food was very good and enjoyable, we left not really feeling we had got the full value for our money."
    dined on 28/06/2014
  • "I took a retiring colleague here to say thank you and we were treated very well indeed. We had a set lunch which was outstanding in terms of taste, service and comfort. with the champagne, wine and coffee, the meal for two became fairly pricey but as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were attended to perfectly, I did not mind. I will definitely return."
    dined on 24/06/2014
  • "Have not eaten at the Greenhouse since Gary Rhodes was the chef. I wondered if it would be as good. It was not. It was better! Probably the best meal I have ever eaten! I went to the Francescina in Modena last year which was ranked in the top 3 restaurants in the world but this was far superior."
    dined on 17/06/2014
  • "A lovley experience. Went here with my family (kids 8 and 13) to celebrate a weddingday and everybody was pleased. I would not hesitate to go back and the service was extraordinary. The set lunch is well Worth the price. Winelist is a dream for winelovers, but a little overpriced."
    dined on 17/06/2014
  • "top service top food, original, but not too much only one problem : wines are really too expensive (at least 100 pounds for one bottle and often more), that's pity"
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "The dining room has low level lighting and is located in what feels like a half basement level so it was a little gloomy and my eyes took a long time to adjust. The place is somewhat prim and the waiters were originally rather stand-offish but they warmed to us (or at least pretended to do so). We had the 'Discovery Menu' which was eight courses and along with a bottle and a half of wine the bill came to just over £360. It was my husband's birthday and so we didn't mind the expense too much as the food was beautifully cooked and presented and we had a fun time. There were nice little touches with my husband getting a cake at the end and they had clearly taken note of what foods and flavours we did not like."
    dined on 14/06/2014
  • "My colleague and I had an incredible lunch at the Greenhouse. Food was simply amazing, and the 3 course set lunch for £30 given 2 Stars is simply amazing value."
    dined on 13/06/2014
  • "Warm friendly welcome, first-rate service with smiles all round, delicious food at such exceptional value (girolles followed by onglet) that we put ourselves in the sommelier's hands and gave him a generous budget. He produced a remarkable Montefico '08 which raised us to new heights. I can hardly wait to return!"

  • "The Greenhouse is a quality restaurant and a perfect place for a lovely dining experience. I highly recommend this as a place to eat although quite expensive."
    dined on 11/06/2014
  • "Fantastic food in a very welcoming setting. 6 course tasting menu was just right for us, as we love to try a variety of things and we have limited time ( because of the babysitter booking). Absolutely no complaints. We will be back."

  • "The food is excelent, the service also.A memorable experience."
    dined on 07/06/2014
  • "The tasting menu of 5 courses for £100 per head plus an additional £60 per head for "modern" paired wines selection The Greenhouse is not cheap. But the sheer brilliance of the food they served us when we dined here on Saturday is quite humbling. How do they do it? For Special occasions or lottery winners only!"

  • "I had not been to The Greenhouse since it acquired its second Michelin star. Having visited many such restaurants over the past two decades, I can say that our evening at The Greenhouse was one of the three or four best dining experiences we have ever had including multiple meals at three star establishments. The room is beautiful and peaceful. The service is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The food is magnificent. I had a starter of lobster with seared watermelon. Innovative, gorgeous to see and delicious. All of our other choices were equally excellent. The Greenhouse is expensive but compared to many other similar restaurants, the prices were very reasonable."

  • "I took my 3 God Children to the Greenhouse for lunch on Friday. We had an excellent meal and were looked after superbly. This is a yearly event and over the years we have been to many good restaurants, but I think The Greenhouse tops the order of excellence."

  • "It was very good. The food was excellent and the desserts were delicious."

  • "The Greenhouse is an experience. Would I want to go back? No. Once is enough. "

  • "This is our second time at the Greenhouse since last May. Never disappointed, food and standard of service remain high and commendable. Lunch menu is good value for money, highly recommended ! We'll sure be going back."
    dined on 27/05/2014
  • "Great location and ambience, would be nice for a first date or engagement venue if you want to impress someone, but otherwise not a place to recommend. At over £100/head without wine or dessert, this is a very pricey place, and the food quality is just not worth it, lots of experimental dishes, and the menu was very sparse (no chicken but you can have pigeon). There are lots of better places to go to."
