We were a party of 5 and sat down at 12.30 and although we only ordered two starters our main meals of 3 x meat roasts 1 x fish parcel roast and 1 x fish and chips didnt arrive and we had to ask twice how long our food would be and eventually were served it at 1.40,over an hour after we sat down. The waitress was fairly attentive but obvioulsy did not chase up our order although several times she lookes across and saw we were still waiting and getting a little impatient.I appreciate it was a busy sunday lunch but I dont think I will be coming back on a sunday again in a hurry, and would warn others that were thinking of it.

This was just lovely... My boyfriend and I booked last minute on trip advisor for a table for two and we were made to feel so welcome on arrival, every one of the waitering staff said hello. The service was really good, not rushed but not slow either. Plenty of choice on the menu for drinks and food. The food was delicious and generous portions. Could of done with a tiny bit more truffle oil in the linguine but that was it. Had a really enjoyable evening at Lewinnick Lodge and will Definately recommend. Thank you.

Cracking dining at a sensible price in a lovely setting. First time eating here having enjoyed drinks outside in the past. Lovely Sunday roast with a multitude of choices. Roast beef and pork belly were our choices but anything on the menu looked fantastic. Will come back again.

First visit to this restaurant for a birthday occasion. Great location with wonderful sea views. Food was great and the sunday lunch in particular was really good value, too much to eat!! Staff were all really very friendly, although service was a little slow, had to wait a while for drinks and one was forgotten. However, overall really enjoyed it and would certainly recommend.

We have dined here several times and never been disappointed. Stunning location and views. Beautifully decorated but relaxed vibe. Excellent varied menu, lots of local, seasonal options (including numerous choices of fish) great vegetarian and children's choices too. Lovely wine menu. Fantastic service, friendly and welcoming (even with young children within our group!) Can't wait to return.

Relaxed but lovely setting, stunning views, great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. A real treat. Well worth getting away from the centre and heading over to the Lewinnick. We walked from our hotel on Fore St along the path behind Fistral Beach and up (about 30mins) - a beautiful walk to get the appetite going or a good digestive stroll. All round great evening.

What more could you ask for amazing location, superb views, fabulous food - thoughful, attentive and caring staff simply put - 10/10. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff who are happy to help (even with the smallest detail) and do so with a smile - which makes the world of difference. They made a birthday evening even more memorable by making us feel 'special' and not just another customer. We will definitely be back. OUTSTANDING - THANK YOU

My family and I (6 total) booked a celebratory meal for my daughter's birthday. Due to an unfortunate incident we were 10 mins late for our booking. On arrival the rude waitress glanced at the clock and informed us we would only have our tabele for 11/4 hr as we were late and they only booked our table for us for 11/2 hours. We intended to have 3 courses and coffee and were not impressed when she told us she 'could rush our food through'. We complained, obviously, and asked to see the manager. The manager had no alternative to offer and stood with crossed arms. A fellow dinr heard our plight and offered to vacate their table early. The whole occasion was ruined and we decided to leave as it would have cost a lot for a spoiled meal.

I enjoyed a lovely late lunch here with a friend. We had the seafood platter and the goats cheese salad which were both delicious and good value. The atmosphere and the view are fantastic - go in the daytime so that you can enjoy it! Overall the service was very good - only small complaint was that we ordered Bloody Marys and got vodka and tomato juice - so we just asked for the Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce and mixed our own!!

Food was really good. The service was nothing short of disgusting! I thought is booked a table in the restaurant, it seemed as though we were sat in the staff room! Inappropriate conversations had by staff. Mocking 'annoying customers', passing comment on other staff members they didn't like, shifting furniture around and leaving us sat with empty plates for ages. Left us that long to wait we walked off and still no service was offered.

    1. Breathtaking views. On a nice summers day one can comfortably eat outside although as the sun lowers ladies will want to wear a ie, wrap to take the edge off the coastal breezes. 2. The staff were polite, courteous and made every effort towards making the evening go well. 3. Owing to the food being made to order and guest numbers potentially present there can be a wait between servings,(ours was around 15-20 minutes) but if you have good conversation it's not a problem. 4.The food was varied, tasty and filling. There is a reasonable selection to choose to drink. With starters, a main, dessert an alcoholic drink and coffee expect to pay out around £35- £40 per head. It can get a bit noisey but not enough to not hear yourself speak.

Need to book to ensure you are not disappointed. I am a frequent visitor here and decided to share the experience with brother and sister in law. They were very impressed with all aspects - relaxed surroundings and gentle buzz of place, quality of food, choice of food and pleasant service. Only negative was bar service not as attentive as could be (similar experience last visit ... more customer focus required ... could learn from restaurant staff who set the standard ) and Doombar beer was too cold for a real ale. This said, thank you for a good experience.

Recommended to go to Lewinnick by two people. A lovely walk out to an isolated spot. Contemporary, relaxed and comfortable bar and restaurant, with a huge deck. Excellent seasonal and daily menu. So much choice. Good kids menu too. Every dish we had in our group of eight was superb......squid for starter, sea bass and the monkfish scampi were all excellent but showstopper was millionaire shortbread cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream with honeycomb. Our friends are going back for a second taste in one week.

We visit Lewenicks quite a bit (roughly every 8-10 weeks) and it is the same every time: the view is superb, the service poor. But we know what we get and still go primarily for the location but also because there is no other real compeition in Newquay. In terms of location you can't beat it on a sunny afternoon or evening watching the sun set. But other than that it is remarkably average. They never answer the phone, the staff are always rushed and often a little rude, the food is sometimes hit and miss (was seabss gnocchi dish came with 6 pieces of gnocchi on this visit, previously we had a food lable arrive in the olives. You have to be very particular on how you want your issue resloving as they are not particulaly pro-active)
