We were staying close by and wanted something easy, so we walked over. Had the choice of the bar or restaurant in the Hyatt; chose Montagu. Glad we did. Had the Pork Belly - totally fantastic (but a very large portion and unfortunately couldn't finish). However, we somehow managed to find room for the strawberry dessert. So glad we did! Highly recommend!

The bar is inspired, we had coctails and Ilearned a history of Daquiri, excellent wine choice too. Creme brulee was exceptional, so was presentation, well worth dinning there!

i booked this restaurant for catching up with friends. The service and ambience was great! We were offered with bread and butter upon arrival - I am very impressed with the quality of the bread! It was warm and moist, it was obvious that it was freshly made in the kitchen. We liked our starters, which was light and refreshing. For the main course, the corn-fed chicken surprised me as it was minced chicken meat wrapped in bacon - pretty creative. The pork belly was a bit greasy my friend thought.... We went with the offer and was given a bottle of wine to share among three of us. Overall, we really had a great time there!

Toured the UK for 17 days. Started and ended in London. We stayed in the Marble Arch area. We liked this restaurant so much the first visit that we went a second time on our return. We had the very reasonable prix fixe again. One of us had Gloucestershire "Old Spot Pork” appetizer and the other the “Ragstone Goat's Cheese Mousse” appetizer. Our mains were Chicken Ballotine and Beer battered Fish and Chips. Desserts were the Eaton Mess and an Elderflower Crème Brule. Service again knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend it… again.

I went as a group of 4 ladies for afternoon tea, 2 of us had the SATC tea which was so nice, and 2 had the standard which they liked. We were offered free refills and just had generally really good service. We were offered to change up anything we didn't like that was on the menu too. Will go back for sure -any afternoon tea that includes mini 'jack bergers' and a Flirtini is winning in my book!

The restaurant is nice but is not closed off from the hotel lobby so you feel as if you are part of that. The food was good and probably the best pea and mint soup I've had. I would recommend it but for lunch or early evening, not for romance.

Hyatt Montague: Our first night of 17 touring the U.K. We had an excellent dinner at Hyatt Montague. Three course prix fixe with a glass of bubbly for 25 pounds. A mixed salad, a Ragstone Goat's Cheese Mousse, a Ballotine of Chicken, (we returned a second time and tried the Beer Battered Cod and chips). For dessert we had a Bramley Apple Sticky Toffee and an Eton Mess (strawberries, cream and meringue). Close to Oxford St. in the Marble Arch area. The restaurant is lovely. The service polished and friendly. The food tasted great and presentation was really nice. As mentioned earlier we liked it enough to go back a second time when we returned to London. Definitely recommend it.

Me and a friend had a very enjoyable tasty meal served by friendly and helpful staff in good surroundings. We went for the £25 menu including three courses and a half bottle wine and found this to be excellent value. There are several choices you are allowed from the main menu for each course including my favourite the belly pork. All courses were good and nicely presented. We had a half bottle of white Rioja and a half bottle of Italian red between us. White Rioja is not my favourite but I enjoyed the red. I will certainly be going back again in the future.

Although the hist/hostess were lovely, the service was appallingly slow. It took forever to get our wine. Twice. The dover sole was fine, the salmon appetizer less so. My guest had a salad and the sea bass which was better than the sole. unfortunately, I would not recommend.

Sunday Brunch at The Montagu was a pleasant way to spend a rainy afternoon. The champagne flowed non-stop and the service was impeccable. Perhaps the only slight flaw was the hot food. Not very imaginative but good enough. Although this was our first experience of Sunday at The Montagu we have dined there many times during the week and always found it mostt agreeable.

The hotel bar was chic and the staff exceptionally helpful. Enjoyed the terasse which requires pre booking. No problem when we spent longer there and delayed our table reservation. The interior of the Montagu was also low key but sophisticated. Service was excellent throughout. Good variety of options for the pre set menu. My only quibble was that the chicken option involved rather more bacon and that the chicken itself was not tasty. Will enjoy going again to the Montagu!

We went there for Valentines Day, and we went again for my girlfriends birthday meal, and the food was still as good as it was before. It might not look like much, but it is very filling and the flavours you get are strange at first, but at the end, are really good. For two courses each, we paid £76. It's certainly not cheap, but you are paying for a lovely experience. I would visit again.

A shame that what was billed as a good dining experience turned out to be average at best and disappointing. The goats cheese mousse though nicely presented was nothing special just tasted like cream cheese from the American state of Philadelphia. The steak was extremely tasty but vastly overpriced at 34£ and came on the plate all on its own- not even a bit of garnish. We did try some ice cream from their vegan menu, this I feel is an acquired taste- to me it tasted like a mixture of dental powder and wet sand- not for me I am afraid. Having said that all power to the restaurant for having an extensive vegan menu a specialism that will please a lot of people.

For the first time the menu at the Churchill disappoints: it never happened before. Choice from a pre-theatre set menu is understandably limited, but still... Vegetarian main course uninspired and unsatisfactory (one egg, five asparagus spears). Starter little different to a slice of gala pie. Fish and chips and chicken better options. Looking forward to this chef finding its oomph again. The service is immaculate and the venue is very discreetly opulent.

Brunch at the Churchill was lovely and the service was impeccable as always. We went for my Mum's pre birthday celebration and we weren't disappointed. I mentioned it was her birthday in my reservation and they they kindly made a little cup cake for her with happy birthday and the singer at the piano sang happy birthday, it's little touches like this that separate the Churchill from other hotels.

We had dinner Saturday night at this restaurant, and were delighted by the food and the staff. You are warmly greeted as you arrive through the hotel and the bar and a great mood is set by the pianist there on Saturdays.I had a delicious lobster bisque with crunchy crab crouton and this was followed by chicken with apricots and sweetheart cabbage in a tasty jus.Our waitress recommended the chocolate fondant dessert, and this was very melt in the mouth as you cut into it with your spoon to release its warm chocolate centre. Our waitress, Franchesca, was charming and attentive, and added to our enjoyment of the evening.A glass of champagne with the set menu makes this very good value indeed, and we would highly recommend it.

Went with a group of friends to the Montagu for the set early evening menu. Although the choice for the set menu was quite small, everyone found something to their taste and requests for slight amendments to some dishes were accommodated by the staff. The greatest success was the dessert - which technically was not on the set menu but a replacement for the usual one which had run out -it was dark chocolate fondant with morello cherries and pistachio icecream. As the restaurant is just off the reception area of the hotel and residents may need to walk through part of the area to get to their rooms, it is a great place for "people watching" whilst waiting for your friends to arrive!
