Diner Reviews
  • "its a great dining room, good value and attentive service - we will return for sure!"
    dined on 18/04/2014
  • "We have eaten at the Northall restaurant since it first opened and the food has been consistently good but our lunch on Saturday was superb! This restaurant goes from strength to strength, well done...."
    dined on 12/04/2014
  • "Ever since my first lunch here in 7/2011, I've returned each time I'm back in London (from the US). The fixed price menu is fine value; and the dining room is simply beautiful, with the tall windows, the furnishings and finishings. The food is just right -- portions not too big or small. The presentation is aesthetically pleasing. The salmon appetizer -- heaven. It makes me happy just to be there. BTW, entering via the flower shop sets me up for the beauty of the space and the food."

  • "Wonderful pre-theatre location with very attentive service although drinks very pricey."
    dined on 10/04/2014
  • "The food is very well prepared and looks and tastes great. They know the food and have the experience of diners needs. Service is great and you are very well looked after throughout your meal. Me and my wife had the pre theatre set menu which was very good value at £30 per head for quality food and consisted of three courses and a glass of champagne. Very quiet atmosphere in a very relaxed setting. Highly recommend."

  • "We booked Sunday Lunch but were told on arrival that only a fixed price brunch was available. After a chat with the restaurant manager we were offered the restaurants 'star deal' of three courses and a glass of champagne for £30. Our two children also chose from the same menu but the price was adjusted accordingly, which was good. The restaurant is light and airy and the staff very friendly and attentive."

  • "We were a party of 5 and opted for the fixed prices menu at £30 for 3 course. The selection on offer was excellent, and the food was brilliant."

  • "We've dined here a few times now and have never been disappointed . The food is excellent - with the Oysters being some of the best in town. Service has always been good with friendly staff. It's one of our "go to" restaurants when you want some excellent food at a reasonable price in a fine location. Post dinner drinks in the bar afterwards is an added bonus."

  • "Very pleased with the food service and friendly manner of the staff."
    dined on 04/04/2014
  • "We took the 3 course set menu, it was beautifully presented and tasty, exactly as you'd expect of a 5* venue. The setting is palatially grand along with the prices unfortunately, they add on service charge and cocktails are extortionate, but even so it was a wonderful dinning experience. I loved the dining area, it was a mix of real elegance and chic design. My one little gripe was the service, this might sound odd but the waiters rushed us and were over attentive, we were asked 3 times if the starter was ok, 3 times if the main course was ok. They butted in to fuss over whilst we were talking so we constantly had to stop to speak to them. Whilst eating my starter and then later my main course the waiter tried to clear my friends plates."

  • "This was my second visit for lunch and we both enjoyed the food and the ambience of a lovely hotel. Very good set menu to choose from and a reasonable bill at the end of the meal we will go again."
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "We had an excellent meal with exceptional service, it was faultless!"
    dined on 31/03/2014
  • "We went for Sunday dinner. Food was good, but ambience was lacking - it was like a cafe in any up-market hotel anywhere in the world. Service was fine, but music was "mid 60s covered by lesser arttists" - which was awful. All in all, nothing special."
    dined on 30/03/2014
  • "Very good value for the set menu (£30 for three courses and a glass of champagne). We had the option of going a la carte but the menu was quite appealing. Service (with the exception of Gianni, the sommelier) could definitely do with a shake-up (10 minutes of scurrying around in 5 different places to get our coats? Really?)."
    dined on 28/03/2014
  • "Huge, airy and spacious gleaming venue heavy on the marble and chandeliers. OTT taste. Comfy seats and high space standards. Bring your elderly relatives and out-of-towners for a blitz of glitz. Fixed price menu was good value and good quality. Attentive, friendly staff. Bizarre piped music. Who picked the playlist?"
    dined on 29/03/2014
  • "The £30 3 courses and a glass of champagne offer is excellent value. We have eaten at The Northall several times and its always good, the food tasty and well presented, the wine list extensive and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The building is beautiful too."
    dined on 28/03/2014
  • "We used the 3x£30 pre-theatre meal which was excellent however once wine, coffee, water etc is added on the bill was £200+ already. That was expected but just as a heads up for others looking for a cheap meal - this is not it unless you order tap water The service, food and ambience is excellent and I would highly recommend again for a nice and elegant evening dinner or even a posh sunday afternoon tea. the hotel is beautiful and the in-house flower organising should get a massive bonus - she decorates the places exquisitely"

  • "Once a month we go to london for the day and a meal out at a top resturant. This time we chose The Northall - boy are we glad we did. We had a set menu the choice was very good and the food mouth watering. For starters we went fot the oysters and the dressed crab presentation superb. Mains we had the burger - like no other! And the whole place -great. Sweets the dark chocolate my husband is A chocaholic -he was in heaven the fruit in it was an added surprise. I had the jelly and fruits superb. The wine choice was excellent and affordable. We WILL BE GOING BACK next time during the evening. DA"
    dined on 28/03/2014
  • "Great start as the complimentary glass of Bubbles was Laurent Perrier which you don't usually see with a set menu offer. The food and menu was very good with enough choice for all and the portions were generous & nice presently. The dining room is light and clean and the staff pleasant. The cocktail list prices are excessive at £16 each which is more than a lot of private clubs and other similar restaurants. To get the restaurant you have to walk through a bar/other restaurant of which we were accosted by one member of staff who obviously didn't expect us to be heading the the Northall to dine. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and would recommend to go to."
    dined on 17/03/2014
  • "Had a fabulous post Christmas champagne brunch at the Corinthia. The champagne really was free flowing and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend for a special occasion"
    dined on 23/03/2014
  • "Great dinner, very friendly service in the restaurant (not so much the bar) and good wine selection. Would definitely recommend - especially the option to have 3 courses and a glass of champagne for £30."
    dined on 22/03/2014
  • "Exclusive, Excellent and Expensive! I went for a business breakfast with n ex-colleague. The dining room is really exclusive - lots of space, with good privacy. The breakfast food was excellent, especially the poached eggs. However, the bill was over £60 for 2 very modest breakfasts. I would go back for a business breakfast, and probably for dinner."
    dined on 21/03/2014
  • "Third time back.... Excellent service and the pre theatre menu at £30 including a glass of champagne represents great value. The dinning room itself has the feel of an ocean liner dinning room of a bygone era - stunning"
    dined on 20/03/2014
  • "We did the top table 3 courses and a glass of champagne offer and it was fabulous! Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and service. We will be back."
    dined on 18/03/2014
  • "I went here for my birthday as a group of seven. We had the pretheatre menu which was good although the waiter did smirk a little when I asked to see the pretheatre menu. However they did pick up on the fact it was my birthday and brought me a special dessert."
    dined on 15/03/2014
  • "very elegant place, I liked that it was quiet and delicious"
    dined on 17/02/2014
  • "Excellent service and no rushing from the staff - perfect for our lunch meeting and fairly reasonable for a hotel of this standard in its location."
    dined on 13/03/2014
  • "The menu offered a sound choice between meat, fish and vegan options. Every single course was delicious - I could not fault the presentation or the taste. The service was friendly and efficient without being over-bearing. This is a really good choice if you want to eat somewhere really nice but not receive an eye-watering bill. This menu is good value as the ambience and surroundings are so lovely. You don't feel rushed to finish your meal and leave and this is definitely somewhere I'd recommend for a meal with friends, a romantic meal, or a business occasion."
    dined on 12/03/2014
  • "We are 3 retired ladies who enjoy meeting in beautiful surroundings and Corinthian is just that. The welcome from the friendly staff, pre lunch drink at the bar, and a huge choice from the menu. Potted shrimps, celeriac soup, hake with fennel, all cooked to perfection. The desserts were mouthwatering and completed the meal. This is my 3rd visit and standard is still as good."
    dined on 11/03/2014
  • "Very pleasant decor. Too open for those who prefer a secluded dining experience. The lunch menu is surprisingly varied for the very modest set price. A haven in a tourist heavy area of London."
    dined on 07/03/2014
  • "I dined on a Saturday afternoin with a group fo friends for a hen celebration. We had the set menu, which was outstanding value! the restaurant is beautiful and the service was exceptionally good. It was not busy but not lacking in atmosphere either. I'll be back soon!"
    dined on 08/03/2014
  • "This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it, the set menu was very good lots of options, lovely hotel and very nice staff will be going very soon if the offer is still available."
    dined on 22/02/2014
  • "Second visit and it lived up to expectations. High quality food, good choice on the theatre menu which is fantastic value considering the quality and quantity. Attentive, helpful staff, and an impressive setting. We will be back"
    dined on 04/03/2014
  • "The restaurant and the bar are beautifully styled and presented and we felt that we had a lot of space and could talk and hear each other comfortably. The £30 set menu, including a glass of Laurent Perrier champagne was excellent value and the waiter drew our attention to it being "wine Wednesday" and there beig certain wines available at half the usual price - £19 for a decent bottle of wine in any London restaurant is good value. I would strongly recommend the Northall."
    dined on 05/03/2014
  • "This is my 3rd time eating at the northall restraunt and yet it again it excelled in all areas I had the set lunch menu which for £30 for a 3 course meal offers great value for money. Also as it was a Wednesday the northall has wine Wednesday when certain wines are heavily reduced and the red wine on offer was exceptional Would highly recommend a visit and I will be returning next time I am in london"
    dined on 05/03/2014
  • "Overall experience was great, apart from charging us dinner for 4 intead of 2, I pointed it out with the server and was quickly resolved. Food and ambience was great, fantastic service."
    dined on 05/03/2014
  • "Theatre menu was very tasty and good value, however there are cheaper, better theatre menus in the same area that feature add-ons (Petit fours etc). Waitress had a poor attitude, however. Remainder of the staff seemed pleasant. Just a shame one person had to spoil it."
    dined on 04/03/2014
  • "I had been to the Northall just before Christmas, when I had a very disappointing experience - untrained staff, long waits between courses requests. I had already booked this date so decided to give the Northall another chance but took the precaution of phoning the restaurant in advance to advise them. We arrived, were met very professionally, had an excellent waitress assigned to us, enjoyed both the meal and were very happy we had returned until a young employee turned on the vacuum cleaner towards the end of service and started cleaning the room. It reminded me of the old approach of pubs when they threw open the doors on a freezing evening to encourage a speedy consumption of last drinks. There appears to be a management issue here."
    dined on 27/12/2013
  • "A real treat. Had cocktails in Bassoon first which is a real treat by the fire. Lots of great service and lovely staff. Expensive but a real treat."
    dined on 01/03/2014
  • "Amazing ambience, great food, impeccable service. The theatre menu was spot on and value for money. Will definitely come here again."
